O presente artigo resulta da análise e caracterização da vida musical das monjas da Ordem de Cister do antigo Mosteiro de S. Bernardo em Portalegre, através de um documento impresso nos séculos XVII e XVII, sensivelmente, conclusão que se deve aos caracteres apresentados. A investigação fundamenta-se na analogia entre os cânticos da única fonte musical pertença ao mosteiro e os princípios do cantochão, de forma comparativa e contextualizada. A autora apresenta um primeiro estudo efectuado sobre o documento em análise e propõe novos caminhos a futuros investigadores.

RESUMENLos balnearios-sauna castreños del noroeste peninsular son monumentos con horno con una arquitectura muy original, posiblemente asociada a los diversos modelos termales. Se conocen cerca de tres decenas, distribuidos por el noroeste peninsular.
