Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) have become an interesting and active research topic for photogrammetry. Current research is based on images acquired by an UAV, which have a high ground resolution and good spectral and radiometrical resolution, due to the low flight altitudes combined with a high resolution camera. UAV image flights are also cost effective and have become attractive for many applications including, change detection in small scale areas. One of the main problems preventing full automation of data processing of UAV imagery is the degradation effect of blur caused by camera moveme

Blur artifacts are generated from relative motion between a camera and a scene during exposure. While blur can be reduced by using a shorter exposure, this comes at an unavoidable trade-off with increased noise. Therefore, it is desirable to remove blur computationally. When the relative velocity between the different objects in a scene and the camera is relative large---compared with the camera's exposure time---in the resulting image we have a distortion called motion blur. In the past, a lot of algorithms have been proposed for estimating the relative velocity from one or, most of the time, more images. The motion blur is generally considered an extra source of noise and is eliminated, or is assumed nonexistent. Unlike most of these approaches, it is feasible to estimate the Optical Flow map using only the information encoded in the motion blur. This thesi

Perception, hence the usage of visual sensors is indispensable in mobile and autonomous robotics. Visual sensors such as cameras, rigidly mounted on a robot frame are the most common usage scenario. In this case, the motion of the camera due to the motion of the moving platform as well as the resulting shocks or vibrations causes a number of distortions on video frame sequences. Two most important ones are the frame-to-frame changes of the line-of-sight (LOS) and the presence of motion blur in individual frames. The latter of these two, namely motion blur plays a particularly dominant role in

Motion blur is one important method for increasing the visual quality of real-time applications. This is increasingly true in the area of interactive applications, where designers often seek to add graphical flair or realism to their programs. These applications often have animated characters with a polygonal mesh wrapped around an animated skeleton; and as the skeleton moves the mesh deforms with it. This thesis presents a method for adding a geometric motion blur to a deforming polygonal mesh. The scheme presented tracks an object's motion silhouette, and uses this to create a polygonal mesh

For example, in the particular case of feature film and broadcast video, some amount of motion blur is desired, as it aids the creation of the illusion of a moving object, given a succession of st

UAV has many advantages such as low cost, high flexibility, high spatial resolution and high overlapped images. UAV has been widely used in many fields such as mapping, 3D city modeling, emergency rescue, change detection and etc., in which the image quality plays an important role of UAV’s applications. However, the small wings-fixed UAV is suffering from the image blur due to crosswind and turbulence, degrading the production quality. Traditionally, small-frame UAV

碩士
國立臺灣大學
資訊工程學研究所
103
Deblurring of 3D scenes captured by 3D sensors is a novel topic in computer vision. Motion blur occurs in a number of 3D sensors based on structured light techniques. We analyze the causes of motion blur captured by structured light depth cameras and design a novel algorithm using the speed cue and object models to deblur a 3D scene. The main idea is using the 3D model of an object to replace the blurry object in the scene. Because we aim to deal with consecutive 3D frame sequences, ie 3D videos, an object model can be built in the frame where the object is n

Calibration of the fuzzy motion image has become a popular issue in recent years, and some of the instruction manual even begin to show the need for “improvement on fuzzy motion image”.However, the reason that LCD can’t fully take the place of the tube is mainly on the perform

碩士
國立清華大學
資訊工程學系
93
Restoration of images corrupt by motion blurs has been strongly demanded due to the emergent digital camera market in recent years. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for blindly restoring images with uniform motion blur. The proposed algorithm consists of three steps to recover the motion blur parameters. At first, we estimate an approximate motion blur direction from the edge direction distribution of the blurred image. Subsequently, the motion blur extent is estimated by using the autocorrelation method. Finally, we refine the motion blur estimation

Moving objects may stimulate many retinal photoreceptors within the integration time of the receptors without motion blur being experienced. Anderson and vanEssen (1987) suggested that the neuronal representation of retinal images is shifted on its way to the cortex, in an opposite direction to the motion. Thus, the cortical representation of objects would be stationary. I have measured thresholds for two vernier stimuli, moving simultaneously into opposite directions over identical positions. Motion blur for these stimuli is not stronger than with a single moving stimulus, and th
