Prispevek obravnava metapoetični motiv pesmi kot magične inkantacije, in sicer kot ponavljajoč se motiv Polifemove teme pri različnih avtorjih po Homerju. Polifemova tema je bila zaradi motiva velikanove oslepitve zelo primerna za vključitev vzporednega motiva pesmi kot magičnega sredstva, ki pomaga k doseganju (tudi politično motiviranega) cilja v spopadu z nasprotnikom, saj magična inkantacija na »žrtev« učinkuje podobno slepilno kot fizična oslepitev. Pozneje, ko je bila v Polifemovo temo vključena še velikanova ljubezen do nereide Galateje, pa se je motivu fizične in metaforične oslepitve pridružil še motiv pesniške samoslepitve, in sicer kot prametafora za pesniško kreiranje poetične iluzije.

U ovom je istraživanju vraćen fokus na dvije osobine koje su prije pojave petofaktorskog modela ličnosti, uz inteligenciju, smatrane ključnim odrednicama radnih i karijernih postignuća, motiv za postignućem i motiv za moći. Provjereno je hoće li ovi motivi predviđati tri važna radna ishoda: rad na rukovodećoj poziciji, plaću i intrinzičnu motivaciju za posao, povrh osobina petofaktorskog modela. Pri tome je rad na rukovodećoj poziciji operacionaliziran zauzimanjem posla na višim razinama organizacijske hijerarhije; plaća kao visina mjesečne neto plaće, a intrinzična motivacija za posao izmjerena je upitničkom mjerom. Istraživanje je provedeno na 160 zaposlenika različitih hrvatskih radnih organizacija, čiji su podaci prikupljeni internetskim anketnim upitnikom. Korelacijske i regresijske analize pokazale su da su motivi za postignućem i moći važna determinanta ovih radnih ishoda te ih objašnjavaju bolje od osobina petofaktorskog modela. Pri tome je motiv za postignućem bio važnija determinanta intrinzične motivacije za posao, a motiv za moći rukovodeće pozicije i plaće. Ovi nalazi pokazuju kako aspekti ličnosti koji su uže povezani s radnim kontekstom, kao što su motiv za postignućem i motiv za moći, imaju dodatnu vrijednost te bi ih se trebalo uzeti u obzir zajedno sa širokim osobinama petofaktorskog modela u svrhu što boljeg predviđanja radnih ishoda.

Motiv vode u pjesništvu Josipa Pupačića javlja se kao slika zavičaja (metonimija) ili pokazatelj stanja duše (metafora). Na metaforskoj razini prevladava motiv kiše kao mladenačke sanjarije, rijeke kao ljudske prolaznosti, ljubavi i čulnosti te vode kao stanja podsvijesti ili znaka smrti. Voda metonimijski zrcali pjesnikov zavičaj u izokrenutoj viziji svijeta. More je slika zavičaja, nagovještaj ljubavi i znak egzistencijalne borbe. Pojavljuje se i kontrast vode i svjetlosti. U razdoblju stvaralačke krize Pupačićevi motivi vode imaju apstraktnu vrijednost jer pripadaju podsvijesti lirskoga subjekta. U zreloj pjesničkoj fazi motiv usahle ili divlje vode povezan je sa zemljom u simbolici narušene veze između živih ljudi i njihovih pokojnih predaka. Njegova prisutnost ili odsutnost ima egzistencijalno i povijesno značenje.

Die vorliegende wissenschaftliche Arbeit untersuchte die These, das jüdisch-christliche Motiv vom mit-leidenden Gott sei das Ur- und Vorbild einer Pflegeperson. Dementsprechend geht es hier um die Wirkungs- und Rezeptionsgeschichte dieses Motivs in der Krankenpflege aus judaistisch-pflegewissenschaftlicher Perspektive. Zur Untersuchung der Auslegungsgeschichte dieses Motivs war ein transdisziplinärer und methodisch pluralistischer Ansatz erforderlich. Er beinhaltete verschiedene Anwendungen der Hermeneutik, wie sie die Theologie, Historiographie und Philosophie brauchen. Das Untersuchungsmaterial setzte sich zusammen aus jüdischen und christlichen Primärquellen der ersten 400 Jahre n. Chr. und der dazugehörigen Sekundärliteratur sowie aus Krankenpflegeliteratur des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts. Die Erscheinungsweise des Forschungsgegenstandes während dieser Zeitabschnitte wurde verglichen. Die Ergebnisse stützen die These und zeigen, dass das Motiv vom mit-leidenden Gott über die letzten 2000 Jahre hinweg in stets aktualisierter Form tradiert wurde. Was ursprünglich ein religiöses Motiv war, präsentiert sich in der modernen und post-modernen Pflegetheorie unter den Begriffen compassion und caring.

This article deals with the properties and functions of the literary motif in relation to the text’s context. One tendency in present-day literary historiography is a growing scepticism towards contextualism. It takes its point of departure in a wish, on the critic’s part, to engage more actively with the text than a focus on its contexts allows. In the first part of the article, I present two concrete instances of this scepticism. In opposition to it, I defend contextualism – in the specific form of a historiographical practice that is able not only to make literary works more comprehensible to us, but also to make them more strange. I discuss Quentin Skinner’s formulation of this idea in the article’s second part. The article’s main thesis is that is by focusing on motifs, rather than themes, that we can verbalize the historical strangeness of literature. In the third part of the article, I discuss the motif’s ability to relate to the text’s context, drawing on the work done of Jesper Gulddal, Ernst Robert Curtius and Erich Auerbach. In the article’s fourth part, I relate my reflections on the relation between motif and context to the motif of bacteria in Danish literature. In three short readings of texts by Johannes V. Jensen, Villy Sørensen and Bjørn Rasmussen, I demonstrate how a focus on the motif at the same time promotes a synchronic perspective on the texts’ relation to their contexts, and a diachronic perspective on their mutual similarities and differences.

The 2019 protests in Hong Kong unfolded with a visual forcefulness that shaped a movement that was at once popular and radical, peaceful and belligerent, orderly and sabotaging. One of the movement’s central instruments was to occupy the territory of Hong Kong with visual protest material. Protest walls spread with lightning speed from early July and from August and September, the contents of the city’s protest walls were updated every single day by independent, self-organized groupings and individuals. As long as the walls were updated with the latest information, the protest movement could prove that it was still ready for battle and that the Hong Kong they were all fighting for was right there on the wall in front of them.
The image of the frontliners as the ones leading the fight against the police came to play a central role in the formation of a political identity for the protest movement. As the protest movement developed and the violent clashes with the police intensified, the images of the frontliners, dressed in black, wearing gas masks and safety goggles and with flag in their hands, emerged as the image of the protest movement.
In this article, I follow the evolution of the image of the frontliners and the attempt to create a visual language that shapes this specific movement. I follow the development of the frontliners as parts of a history of protest and as parts of an ensemble of protest figures and protest-specific events. I explore what the frontliners and their images do as they unfold in the dynamic between the resistance the movement provides and the oppression they encounter.

Constantin Hansens enorme maleri af den grundlovgivende rigsforsamling er blevet en ikonisk illustration på den danske overgang fra enevælde til konstitutionelt monarki i 1849. Derfor har maleriet også løbende haft forskningsinteresse – men kunstnerens eget politiske engagement og hans afgørende indflydelse på bestillingsmotivets endelige komposition er kun blevet overfladisk behandlet. Constantin Hansen var dog en meget engageret samfundsborger, der var levende optaget af politik og som deltog aktivt i den politiske samtale – også med sin kunst. Artiklen fortæller derfor ikke bare historien om et enkelt billedes indlejrede politiske budskab men også om den faglige opmærksomhed vi som historikere må tildele det billedmateriale, som vi så ofte lader illustrere vores historiefremstillinger.

Motiv posta i molitve često se zatječe u djelima raznih sadržajnih, oblikovnih i vrsnih pripadnosti tijekom mnogih stoljeća, pa je moguće govoriti o motivu dugoga trajanja. U trima se glagoljskim kodeksima iz 15. i 16. stoljeća (u tzv. Oxfordskom, Berčićevu i Grškovićevu zborniku) nabrajaju osobe iz Biblije i svetci koji su postili i tako postigli spas i milost. U tim je spomenicima popis likova u velikoj mjeri podudaran. Po tonu i stilu zaključuje se kako su tekstovi bili namijenjeni širem krugu primatelja, a ne (samo) užoj redovničkoj ili duhovničkoj zajednici. Tekstovi su analizirani s književnoteorijskoga polazišta, s naglaskom na njihovoj strukturu, a identificirane su dvije važne karakteristike hrvatskoglagoljske proze. To su polifunkcionalnost, jer djela često ujedinjuju praktične (npr. pastoralne, moralne i poučne) funkcije s estetskom, te otvorenost forme, jer se teme, motivi i slike pojavljuju u uvijek novim kombinacijama i kontekstima (specifična intertekstualnost). U analiziranim se tekstovima prepoznaju figure i tropi tipični za hrvatsku srednjovjekovnu prozu (npr. antiteza, paregmenon, nabrajanja, dijade, trijade, asonancije, sintaktički i leksički paralelizam).

Budući da je u svjetskoj književnosti od romantizma nadalje najveći dio fantastične dionice pripovjedne književnosti formiran oko ideje straha od nepoznatoga i neobjašnjivoga, ovaj je prilog usmjeren na manifestacije te emocije u odabranim primjerima hrvatske fantastične novele 19. stoljeća. U raspravi se problematizira i tematsko-žanrovska pripadnost kanonskih novela, i to upravo s obzirom na prisutnost motiva straha. U književnostima zapadnog kruga u 19. se stoljeću pojačano javljaju fantastični pripovjedni žanrovi kojima je motiv straha glavni narativni pokretač, a pojedini elementi fantastički intonirane književnosti s obilježjima književnoga horora prisutni su i u odabranome istraživačkom korpusu: od romantičarskih obilježja Jorgovanićeve fantastike preko premošćivanja realističke poetike i okretanja misticizmu u Gjalskijevoj novelistici do modernističke psihologizacije Matoša i Leskovara. Iako se u tradicionalnoj hrvatskoj književnoj historiografiji zadani korpus nije tumačio kroz prizmu motiva straha, njegova prisutnost otvara niz istraživačkih pitanja poput, primjerice, kako se strah manifestira u pripovjednom tekstu, kojoj pripovjednoj razini emocija straha zapravo pripada, kako motiv straha sudjeluje u proizvodnji fantastičnog i irealnog itd.

Introduction. The number of librarian with disability, particularly with limited ability to see or blind is not many. This research explores the motives of the blind on why becoming librarians.
Research methods. This study used a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used observations and interviews. Sampling was decided purposively.
Analysis data. Research analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validation techniques were carried out using credibility tests.
Results and Discussion. The motive to become a librarian refers to Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory which can be divided into two categories: motives based on because-motive (Weil-Motiv), namely the hobby of reading, lack of reading material for blind people, and library facilities that support performance for librarians with visual disabilities. Motives based on the in-order-to motive (Um-zu-Motiv) are to change the social stigma of people with visual disabilities, increase readers’ interest in reading, socialize braille collections, increase economic levels, and increase relationships.
Conclusion. The findings show that being a librarian with visual disabilities is oriented towards past and future motives.

ZusammenfassungIm vorliegenden Beitrag werden der Zusammenhang von Geschlecht, Alter, BMI und Fitness sowie die individuellen Beweggründe von Universitätsangehörigen zur Teilnahme an Sportaktivitäten ermittelt. Die Erfassung der Sportmotive wurde mit dem Berner Motiv- und Zielinventar im Freizeit- und Gesundheitssport durchgeführt. Es nahmen insgesamt N = 1336 Universitätsangehörige an einer Online-Befragung teil. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Universitätsangehörigen der Motivbereich Fitness / Gesundheit am wichtigsten ist, gefolgt von Aktivierung / Freude. Den geringsten Stellenwert hat das Motiv Wettkampf / Leistung.Weiterhin lassen sich signifikante Unterschiede zwischen den Geschlechts-, Alters-, BMI- und Fitnessgruppen in Bezug auf die Bewertung der Motivbereiche erkennen. Bei den Frauen dominieren die Motivbereiche Figur / Aussehen und Aktivierung / Freude, wohingegen sich bei den Männern signifikant höhere Werte bei Kontakt sowie Wettkampf / Leistung zeigen. Der Motivbereich Fitness / Gesundheit gewinnt mit zunehmendem Alter an Bedeutung, wohingegen der Stellenwert der Motive Wettkampf / Leistung sowie Ablenkung / Katharsis abnimmt. Für die BMI-Gruppen gewinnt das Motiv Figur / Aussehen mit steigendem BMI-Wert an Wichtigkeit. Die Fitnessgruppen bemessen Wettkampf / Leistung mit zunehmendem Fitnessstatus einem höheren Stellenwert, wobei Figur / Aussehen an Bedeutung verliert. Insgesamt deuten die Ergebnisse dieser Studie an, dass es sinnvoll erscheint, die unterschiedlichen Motivausprägungen bei der Planung und Durchführung eines Bewegungsangebotes zu berücksichtigen. Es wird vorgeschlagen, Parallelangebote zu erstellen, die sich hinsichtlich der inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte unterscheiden und damit das Spektrum der Motivausprägungen auffangen können.

In field experiments in Western Australia, Lupinus albus cv. Kiev Mutant was very susceptible, L. angustifolius cv. Yorrel was susceptible, and L. luteus cv. Motiv 369 was resistant to brown spot caused by Pleiochaeta setosa. The process of leaf infection by P. setosa was examined on these 3 Lupinus species and cultivars. Field infection occurred on young plants almost exclusively on the lower side of leaves from conidia splashed from the soil. More conidia per cm2 leaf surface were deposited on Kiev Mutant than on Yorrel or Motiv 369. In humid chambers at 15�C, 94-98% of conidia germinated on all species after 24 h. On all species, appressorial formation began 6 h after inoculation, but fewer appressoria were formed on Motiv 369 (27% of germinated conidia) than on the other 2 species (average 55%) after 24 h. Leaf penetration was directly through the cuticle via appressoria with few stomata1 penetrations. Efficiency of lesion formation (expressed as the number of lesions produced per 100 conidia deposited) was greater on Kiev Mutant and Yorrel (8.3 and 7.2%) than on Motiv 369 (2.3%). More lesions per cm2 leaf area were produced on Kiev Mutant (2.4) than on Yorrel (0.7) or Motiv 369 (0.3), but average lesion size was similar in each variety. Lesions expanded from 200-250 8m at 3 days to > 500 8m radius at 16 days after inoculation. During lesion expansion, P. setosa hyphae grew 50-200 8m beyond the border of necrotic lesions on Kiev Mutant, remained at the border of lesions on Yorrel, and were 100-200 8m inside the border of lesions on Motiv 369. Lesions on the susceptible cultivars Kiev Mutant and Yorrel (but not Motiv 369) were surrounded by a large chlorotic halo up to 2 mm from the outside necrotic lesion border. More lesions per cm2 leaf area were required to cause defoliation in Motiv 369 than in Kiev Mutant and Yorrel. Brown spot resistance in Motiv 369 is expressed as a reduction in defoliation. This appears to result from reduced attachment of conidia, reduced efficiency of infection and lesion formation, restricted growth of mycelia in lesions, reduced chlorosis, and delayed leaf senescence. Fewer conidia were produced on defoliated leaves of Motiv 369 in field plots.

Nabi Muhammad Ṣallallah ʿalaihi wa Sallam telah menghadapi berbagai macam gangguan dan penolakan dalam menegakkan dakwah Islam dari kaum kafir Quraish. Gangguan tersebut terus menerus dihadapi oleh Nabi Ṣallallah ʿalaihi wa Sallam hingga beliau hijrah ke kota Madinah, di sanalah bermulanya sejarah baru dunia Islam. Pada tahun kedua hijriah terjadi peperangan besar dalam sejarah Islam yaitu perang Badr al-Kubrā. Motiv dari meletusnya peperangan ini tidak hanya didasari oleh hal keyakinan agama saja. Namun juga terdapat motiv-motiv lain yang memicunya. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengungkap motiv-motiv tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan didapati bahwa di antara hal lain yang melatarbelakangi peperangan tersebut adalah faktor ekonomi dan social. Adapun faktor ekonomi berupa keinginan kaum Muhājirīn untuk mengambil harta mereka yang tertinggal di Mekkah dari tangan kaum Quraish, dan kaum Quraish berusaha menjaga hasil perniagaan mereka. Sedangkan faktor sosial adalah keinginan kaum kafir Quraish agar mengakui derajat dan kedudukan mereka.

Novembra 2015 so pri arheoloških raziskavah ob prenovi Slovenske ceste na prostoru emonske insule XIII med drugim odkrili železen prstan z vdelano gemo. Na njej je upodobljena bojna galeja. Razločno so vidna vesla, krma, kljun in oven (rostrum). Na ladji oziroma nad njo sta upodobljena signa militaria, vojaška znaka centurij. Prstan glede na obliko datiramo v 1. stoletje, gemo pa glede na stil izvedbe postavljamo v 1.–2. stoletje. Gema je bila izdelana v različici kalcedona, imenovanega nikolo. Prstani z gemami so služili za pečatenje različnih dokumentov, motivi na njih pa so odražali okus in identiteto lastnika. Geme z upodobitvami ladje so redke. Našli smo nekaj analogij, od katerih je naši po motivu najbližja ena od gem, ki jih hrani Britanski muzej v Londonu. Nadalje smo raziskovali vzor za motiv, in sicer na novcih, kjer so upodobitve ladje in/ali vojaških znakov v rimskem času pogoste. Zaradi zamejene datacije prstana smo iskanje vzora omejili na novce pozne republike in principata. Najbližje primerjave smo našli na seriji novcev Marka Antonija, ki so bili v velikih količinah kovani med 32–31 pr. n. š. pred pomorsko bitko pri Akciju. Na sprednji strani teh denarijev je podoba galeje z legendo, ki se nanaša na Antonijev položaj avgura in triumvira. Legende na zadnji strani omenjajo različne vojaške enote, upodobljeni pa so trije vojaški znaki: dva znaka centurij, kot na naši gemi, in orel (aquila), ki je bil znak legije. Domnevamo, da se je izdelovalec pri izdelavi motiva na naši gemi zgledoval po teh novcih ali kateri od podobnih serij.Upodobitev na naši gemi je vsekakor izstopajoča, saj so pomorski motivi v rimski gliptiki redki, sploh glede na pomen, ki ga je imela civilna in vojaška plovba za rimsko državo. Izbiro motiva lahko povezujemo z lastnikovo vojaško preteklostjo ali njegovim ponosom na pripadnost zmagoviti rimski državi.

The Motif of Light in the Gospel of John. The metaphor of light is an important component of the theological and especially christological language of the Fourth Gospel. Jesus’ proclamation “I am the light of the world” occurs here in three variations, and other statements about light (and darkness) or day (and night) with more or less clear symbolic meaning pervade the whole of John’s writing. A clue to answering the question in what sense Jesus is the light, i.e. the source and orientation of life, is provided by the second part of Jesus’ statement in John 8:12: “he who follows me will not walk in darkness…” After clarifying the concept of following, the article shows how the Johannine statements about light form a coherent whole. The motif of light as an image of life (John 1:4, 9) helps to present life as a reality not immanent to people but coming from outside to them. Thus it points out Jesus’ soteriological significance as well as the indispensable quality of his earthly, historical existence, to which the fourth evangelist pays so noticeable interest.

Abstract Anhand der Exemplare aus Bad Doberan und Göttingen wird das Motiv der Hostienmühle exemplarisch betrachtet. Entgegen einschlägiger Forschungsmeinung wird aufgezeigt, dass es sich bei der Hostienmühle nicht um ein Motiv handelt, dass die Transsubstantiation darstellen soll und auch nicht als Antwort auf das zeitgenössische Ausbreiten von Häresien verstanden werden kann. Stattdessen wird deutlich, dass die Hostienmühle auf einer bestehenden Tradition laiensprachlicher Dichtungen aufbaut und als Motiv zu verstehen ist, welches einem breiten Publikum die heilsgeschichtliche Bedeutung der Kirche verdeutlichen soll.

Rad ispituje da li strategija samoafirmacije – afirmisanje sopstvene vrednosti u jednom domenu nakon što je evaluiran drugi domen ličnosti, može omogućiti efikasno suočavanje sa pozitivnom i negativnom evaluacijom bitne karakteristike ličnosti. Ključno pitanje u ovom istraživanju je da li su ljudi prvenstveno motivisani da održe pozitivnu sliku o sebi (tzv. motiv samoosnaživanja) ili postojeću sliku o sebi, bilo da je ona pozitivna ili negativna (tzv. motiv samopotvrđivanja). Cilj istraživanja bio je da se utvrdi da li će ljudi iskoristiti mogućnost samoafirmacije nakon pozitivne i negativne evaluacije da bi zadovoljili jedan od ova dva motiva i koji. Istraživanje se sastojalo iz eksperimenta u kom su ispitanice visokog i niskog samopoštovanja dobijale lažnu pozitivnu ili negativnu povratnu informaciju o uspehu na testu intelektualnih sposobnosti. Ispitivano je da li će nakon evaluacije intelektualnih sposobnosti doći do promene u samoproceni tri domena self koncepta: intelektualnom, fizičkom i socijalnom. Rezultati pokazuju da ni nakon pozitivne ni nakon negativne evaluacije kod osoba visokog samopoštovanja nije došlo do promene u samoproceni tri domena ličnosti, što sugeriše da je njihova slika o sebi stabilna i dobro definisana tj. da nije podložna kratkotrajnim fluktuacijama pod uticajem povremenih inkonzistentnih evaluacija. Osobe niskog samopoštovanja koje su navodno veoma uspešno uradile test inteligencije naknadno su se negativno afirmisale tj. umanjivale su sopstvenu fizičku privlačnost. Rezultat ukazuje da u domenu kognicije dominira motiv samopotvrđivanja, ali i sugeriše da je self koncept osoba niskog samopoštovanja nestabilniji i osetljiviji na informacije iz socijalne sredine nego self koncept osoba visokog samopoštovanja.

V pričujočem prispevku skušam strniti nekaj misli o specifičnih elementih erotičnega imaginarija epizode o Moreju in Halkomedeji v Nonosovem Epu o Dionizu, to sta motiv kače, varuhinje devištva, in motiv nekrofilije. Najprej podajam shematičen prikaz zgradbe obeh motivov z ozirom na proleptično Nonosovo poetiko. Pri motivu kače gre predpostaviti tročleno zgradbo (prefiguracija v 15. knjigi, prerokba v 33. knjigi in osrednji prizor v 35. knjigi), pri nekrofiliji pa dvočleno (prefiguracija in osrednji prizor v 35. knjigi). Že v poprejšnjih raziskavah izrečena predpostavka, da gre tudi pri prizoru nekrofilije v resnici za prefiguracijo (Moreja) ocenjujem za smiselno zaradi podobnosti likov (anonimni vojščak, anonimnost kot značilnost »tipa«) in v kompozicijskem oziru. V pragmatičnem oziru je, če želimo ta prizor razumeti kot prefiguracijo, nujno predpostaviti bralčevo poznavanje epizode o Kalimahu in Druzijani iz Janezovih del, ki, kot je bilo ugotovljeno že v drugih raziskavah, gotovo predstavlja intertekst k Nonosovi epizodi. Motiv kače v vsebinskem in simbolnem smislu berem kot značilen primer Nonosove literarne sinteze krščanskega in klasičnega elementa, pri čemer je funkcija kače (varuhinja vhoda v sveti okraj) del klasičnega izročila, idejno ozadje epizode pa izvira iz krščanskega konteksta (idealizacija devištva in čistosti). Implicitne metafore v tem branju so eni strani razumevanje ženskega telesa kot svetega (okraja) in spolovila kot vhoda, ki ga varuje kača, ter na drugi strani – z ozirom na htonično naravo kače – razumevanje človeškega telesa kot zemeljskega elementa (v nasprotju z dušo, ki se povezuje z nebeškim).

Zusammenfassung. Aufgrund demographischer Veränderungen ist zukünftig mit einem Anstieg der Zahl der Pflegebedürftigen zu rechnen. In einer Fragebogenerhebung wurde bei 4806 Personen, die keine Pflege leisten, die Motivation ermittelt, pflegebedürftige Angehörige, Freunde oder Nachbarn zu versorgen. Die 19 Items konnten aufgrund von Faktorenanalysen fünf Bereichen zugeordnet werden: selbstwertdienliche Motive, soziale Motive, normative Motive, finanzielle Motive und mangelndes Vertrauen in andere können ausschlaggebend werden, Pflege zu beginnen. Je nach Altersgruppe und Geschlecht treten andere Motive in den Vordergrund. Für die jüngeren Frauen stehen normative Motive im Vordergrund, für die jüngeren Männer selbstwertdienliche Motive und mangelndes Vertrauen in andere. Für die mittlere Altersgruppe (45 bis 64 Jahre) läßt sich kein herausragendes Motiv ermitteln. Für die Personen, die 65 Jahre und älter sind, sind geschlechtsunabhängig soziale und finanzielle Motive ausschlaggebend.

U nekoliko Araličinih književnih djela (pripovijetki i romana) razmatra se uporaba pilatovskoga motiva. Taj se motiv promatra i unutar usmenoknjiževne tradicije kao supstrata koji je u velikoj mjeri zastupljen u ukupnome Araličinu stvaralaštvu. Dok se u usmenoknjiževnim oblicima Poncije Pilat uvelike ne udaljava od biblijske slike, potvrđujući tako kolektiv kao intertekstualni prijenosnik nepodložan znatnim idejnim intervencijama u odnosu na izvorni tekst, različitim intertekstualnim tehnikama Aralica izgrađuje vlastiti odnos prema pilatovskome motivu. Uz najčešći pristup u umjetničkoj književnosti koji Poncija Pilata oblikuje kao zaseban književni lik, individualizirajući ga i često mijenjajući njegovu biblijsku poziciju, Aralica se koristi drugačijim postupkom tvorbe lika, što posljedično utječe i na njegovu intertekstualnu funkciju. Temeljnu biblijsku poziciju prototipskoga karaktera Aralica nadograđuje nizom značenja. Mrežom postavljenih značenja traži odgovor na pitanje odnosa osobne i kolektivne odgovornosti. Naslonjen djelomič- no na koncepciju povijesti definiranu vlastitim povijesnim romanima (iako sva analizirana djela nisu pisana u tome ključu), prije svega na povijest kao (ne)plodno pamćenje, opredjeljuje se, iako ne uvijek jasno, za osobnu odgovornost kao (mogući) ispravan put za oblikovanje kolektivne odgovornosti.

The aim of this article is to clarify how literary topology relates historically and conceptually to the study of literary motifs. Topos and motif are associated concepts in literary theory, but attempts to define and compare them are evasive and few. While literary topology was, according to Ernst Robert Curtius, founded on the basis of classical rhetoric and concerned primarily the literary tradition of rhetorical eloquence, the notion of motif was, as I will argue, on the contrary conceived as a critical term at a time when rhetoric was loosing its grip on literary criticism at the end of the 18th century. My article will survey a number of influential positions in the history of literary theory and criticism concerning the study of motifs and topoi from Goethe to contemporary contextualist approaches.

The motif of death in the novels of Dževad KarahasanDževad Karahasan’s novels The Eastern Diwan and Shahriar’s Ring, being the classic examples of postmodernism, feature various forms of play with genres and narrative patterns, the presence of historical persons and events, and significant intertextual dialogue, namely, quotations, with cultural and other elements of Islam. The motif of death is analyzed within the context of the plot, which is founded on this theme, as it consists of several political assassinations; whereas the idea of death as a repetitive motif is one of the compositional anchors of the novelistic structure. On the other hand, through the analysis of Karahasan’s novels it is possible to follow the attitude towards death in different periods of development of Islamic philosophy. In particular, the Hellenized strain of Islamic philosophy, rooted in esoteric thinking and spiritual religion, has led to the development of Islamic mysticism. The idea of the path of returning to the original source, which is transmitted through inner cognition and craving, is found to be the basic determinant of certain characters in the novel, as well as of the novel as a whole. Analizie poddana zostanie śmierć, uwidoczniająca się w warstwie fabularnej powieści i będąca podstawą spisku w serii zabójstw politycznych, jako motyw powtarzający się — jeśli jest specyficzna — oraz jako jeden z węzłów kompozycyjnych struktur powieściowych. Jednocześnie podczas analizy powieści autorstwa Karahasana można śledzić stosunek wobec śmierci w różnych okresach rozwoju filozofii islamu. Mianowicie, zhellenizowany strumień filozofi muzułmańskiej, zanużony w myśli ezoterycznej i spirytualizmie religijnym doprowadził do rozwoju mistycyzmu muzułmańskiego. Idea powrotu do źródła, który prowadzi przez wewnętrzne poznanie i pragnienie, okazuje się podstawowym wyznacznikiem zarówno niektórych postaci, jak i powieści jako całości.

Zusammenfassung Auf der Grundlage der Unterscheidung wert- und zweckrationaler Motive untersuchen wir in diesem Beitrag exemplarisch die Logik der medialen Affirmation des Internationalismus am Beispiel eines 2022 publizierten Beitrags der Süddeutschen Zeitung zum Schüleraustausch. Ein zentraler Aspekt der Fallrekonstruktion verweist auf die legitimatorische Funktion des (wertrationalen) Bildungsmotivs. Die strategisch-zweckrationalen Motive, denen der Schüleraustausch eigentlich dienen soll, werden durch die wertrationalen verdeckt. Darüber hinaus stoßen wir bei dem Versuch der medialen Würdigung des Auslandsaufenthalts auf ein überraschendes Motiv der latenten Herabwürdigung. Wir vermuten, dass sich darin eine ungewollt verächtliche Haltung gegenüber der kleinbürgerlichen Nachahmung der Praktiken der Oberschicht zum Ausdruck bringt.

During the seventh decade of the 20th century, Petar Lubarda continued to be an important figure in the cultural diplomacy of Yugoslavia. His artistic position and presence on the local and international exhibition scene would root him in a position of a key figure in the First Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1961. His artistic presence would be of major importance for the invitation of the Commission for Cultural Relations of the Republic of India, who then organised exhibitions in New Delhi and Bombay (Mumbai). The aim of the paper is to analyse the artistic production during the first years of the seventh decade of the last century and his personal experiences during his stay in India, in order to point out the changes and his reasons behind those changes on the example of his works on the topic of India.

Pomagačko ponašanje spada u prosocijalne oblike ponašanja, a istraživači se najviše interesuju za pokretačke snage pomagačkog ponašanja. Ovo istraživanje se bavi pomagačkim ponašanjem tokom perioda poplava maja 2014. godine u Srbiji, i motivacijom i empatijom kao prediktorima stepena pomaganja. Uzorak se sastojao od 204 osobe koje su pomagale tokom perioda poplava (61.3% ženskog pola), prosečne starosti 29.7 godina. Tokom juna, jula i avgusta, ispitanici su popunjavali Upitnik o načinima i stepenu pomaganja tokom poplava, modifikovan Inventar volonterskih funkcija za procenu motivacije za pomaganje i Upitnik procene spremnosti za empatiju. Polazeći od teorije funkcionalne motivacije, koja izdvaja šest motiva za pomaganje, sprovedena je univarijantna analiza kovarijanse, u kojoj su šest motiva i četiri aspekta empatije bili kontinuirani prediktori i pol kao kategorijalni prediktor stepena pomaganja. Rezultati pokazuju da ovakav prediktivni model objašnjava 30% varijanse pomagačkog ponašanja, a da se kao značajni prediktori ističu motiv Razumevanje i Socijalni motiv, kao i Empatija sa negativnim emocionalnim stanjima. Motivacija osobe da kroz pomaganje upozna svet i svoje sposobnosti, bolje razume ljude i osnaži svoje socijalne interakcije ukazuje na postojanje egoistične, ali i altruističke motivacije tokom perioda poplava u Srbiji. Prilikom ove krizne situacije pokazalo se da relevantnu ulogu ima i empatski paradoks, gde osobe koje imaju viši stepen empatije sa negativnim emocijama osoba u distresu u manjoj meri pomažu usled prevelikog intenziteta empatijske uznemirenosti. Ovi rezultati ukazuju na postojanje i istovremeno delovanje većeg broja motiva, kao i na ulogu empatije u pomaganju. Praktične implikacije nalaza odnose se na mogućnost selekcije pomagača u vreme kriznih situacija.

Methode: Insgesamt 270 ProbandInnen ohne und mit den Essstörungen Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED) und remittierten Essstörungen (REC) beantworteten den Fragebogen zur Analyse Motivationaler Schemata (FAMOS). Ergebnisse: ProbandInnen mit Essstörungen berichteten ein höheres Autonomie-, Autarkie- und Kontrolle-Motiv als ProbandInnen ohne Essstörungen. Außerdem zeigten sich Unterschiede in den Motiven zwischen den Essstörungsdiagnosen. The subject of the paper is the motif of adultery in the novel Seoska učiteljica by Svetolik Ranković. Thematically and poetically, what all the works of Svetolik Ranković have in common is the description of the moral failure of the patriarchal community. The important themes of Svetolik Ranković’s work are the disintegration of patriarchal norms, the disintegration of the family and the conflict between the individual and society. They are also the most important thematic units in the novel Seoska učiteljica. Part of this article will cover the analysis of the characterization of Ljubica and Gojko as the main characters of this novel. This paper particularly looks at the inversion that Svetolik Ranković did when characterizing these characters, assigning to Ljubica those features that were considered dominantly male in the patriarchal society and vice versa. In this part of the work, it is concluded that their characteristics that are in reverse are most demonstrated by their relationship to children, authority and eroticism. One important aspect of this article is the analysis of the motif of adul- tery in the novel Seoska učiteljica. This paper shows how this motif is linked to the poetic principles of Svetolik Ranković. It was concluded that in this novel the motif of adultery is a manifestation of the moral decline of society. Through the analysis of the motive of adultery and the position of the woman in this novel, Svetolik Ranković turns out to be a writer with an extremely modern sensibility.

Das Motiv der Silesian Texans (schlesische Texaner), wie die Nachkommen der nach Texas ausgewanderten Oberschlesier genannt werden, taucht in der jüngsten Literatur zu Oberschlesien auf. Dieser Beitrag versucht das Phänomen der schlesischen Texaner in den gefundenen literarischen Erzeugnissen unterschiedlicher Genres (Lyrik, Essayistik, Reiseliteratur, Roman) aufzuzeigen und die darin verborgenen Inhalte zu präsentieren. Das Thema wurde bislang von Jan Goczoł, Jo Hannes Schlonsok, Szczepan Twardoch, Michael Sowa und Adam Pe(j)ter Kubik aufgegriffen. Dieser Beitrag kann somit als Bestandsaufnahme verstanden werden, mit der Absicht auf weitere Untersuchungen dieses Motivs anzustoßen.

Motiv o Salmakidi in Hermafroditu, o spojitvi ženske in moškega v dvospolno telo, sodi med raritete antične mitološke zakladnice. Odstopa tudi od prevladujočega vsebinskega vzorca v Ovidijevih Metamorfozah: tokrat nimfa izjemoma ni žrtev posilstva, ampak storilka nasilnega dejanja nad moškim. Ni ugotovljivo, odkod je Ovidij ta motiv povzel, ali pa si ga je izmislil sam, kot domnevajo nekateri komentatorji, vendar hermafrodite pred njim omenja že Diodor Sicilski.

Den moderne retoriske kritiks sparsomme behandling af anklager har to fællestræk, som danner udgangspunkt for denne artikel. Det første er en fundering af anklagen i et bekræftende motiv. Det andet er en implicit placering af anklagen som en retorisk genre. Ingen af disse er dog blevet udfoldet i særlig høj grad. Denne artikel tager udgangspunkt i Carolyn Millers retoriske genreteori og Celeste Michelle Condits arbejde med vred offentlig retorik for at afdække anklagens sociale motiv ud fra en emotionel ramme. Der argumenteres her for, at hovedmotivet skal findes i ønsket om korrigerende handling, som understøttes yderligere af henholdsvis et definitorisk og et moralsk motiv. Dette udgangspunkt bruges til at afdække generationsanklagen som en specifik form for anklage samt analysere denne form i Greta Thunbergs retoriske anklage mod ældre generationer i klimadebatten.

A tradução a seguir verte para o português um dos textos mais importantes de Rose Ausländer: “Tudo pode ser motivo” (Alles kann Motiv sein), de 1971. Reconhecida como importante poeta de língua alemã da segunda metade do século XX, Rose Ausländer deixou também uma obra em prosa, escrevendo textos de caráter ensaístico com alta carga poética. Entre estes, “Tudo pode ser motivo” ocupa lugar especial, pois nele encontramos um gesto metaliterário de Ausländer ao tematizar o seu próprio fazer poético enquanto motivo, que como o título já antecipa, é um dos tantos motivos que a potência do poema possibilita. O texto abre a maior coletânea da poesia da autora até aqui, organizada pelo editor Helmut Braun e publicada em 2012 pela S. Fischer Verlag.

Marriage is a series of sacred processions that cannot be separated from the provisions set by religious law. The implementation of marriage cannot be separated from the social culture of society which is still sustainable for generations. Each region has traditions that must be obeyed by the local community and are manifested in the form of taboos and prohibitions in weton geyeng marriages. It is called geyeng because of the meeting of two people who have a market in terms of weton wage and pahing, meaning rocking or not fitting. If forced to marry, the age of marriage will not last long and is prone to separation. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach to understand the taboos of geyeng marriage analyzed from the place, time, and cultural background. Data collection methods are through observation and interviews, while data analysis uses interactive models. The results showed that the history of geyeng is interpreted as a form of respect for the ancestors with its application to life. The prohibition of weton geyeng marriage in Kalipait Village from the perspective of sociology gave rise to the phenomenon of because motiv and in other to motive. Dominantan uticaj poetike mita, koja je obnovljena u XX veku mitskim romanom, polazište je za tumačenje mitskog metateksta u kratkom romanu Borislava Pekića Uspenje i sunovrat Ikarija Gubelkijana. Značajno je ugledanje B. Pekića na poetiku Tomasa Mana, u skladu sa tumačenjem romana u ključu mitskog romana XX veka. Uticaj antičkog i biblijskog mita u pripovedanju, naglašava se postupkom citatnosti, dok se radom teži isticanje nadogradnje polazišnog arhiteksta. Motiv taštine je ključan za tumačenje intencije romana jer je ravan u kojoj se prelamaju oba arhiteksta. Fokusiranjem na značenje motiva taštine u romanu, nastoji se da se obrazloži paradoks razotkriven u motivisanju taštine pripovdanjem.

Prešeren naj bi od Lukana prevzel tako slogovne kot emotivne in imaginativne prvine; med temi, globljimi vplivi velja omeniti zlasti motivno-tematske sestavine (motiv državljanske vojne, motiv poraženca, ki se zateče k ljubljeni ženski, a ga usoda odtrga od nje).
