Abstract:
Nowadays, students are engaged not only in educational activities, but also work independently, and in some situations, all act as parents [1]. In addition, modern students lack the notion of a daily regimen as such. All this leads to the fact that they do not have time for physical activity or simply are not interested in its implementation [2]. Therefore, it is very important to identify factors that motivate students to engage in physical labor in order to further increase the level of students’ interest in physical activity.

In addition to vertical loads, the foundations of offshore structures are subjected to horizontal loads and overturning moments as a result of environmental (wind and wave) loading. The behaviour of circular footings on cohesive soil under conditions of combined vertical, horizontal and moment (V, H, M) loading is the primary concern of this thesis. A programme of physical model tests, involving combined loading of circular footings on reconstituted Speswhite kaolin, is reported. The shape of footing used is typical of the "spudcan" foundations of independent leg jack-up drilling platforms. Pr

Abstract:
This research project investigated the use of real-time sonification as a way to improve the quality and motivation of biceps curl exercise among healthy young participants. A sonification system was developed featuring an elec- tromyography (EMG) sensor and Microsoft Kinect camera. During exercise, muscular and kinematic data were collected and sent to custom design sonifi- cation software developed using Max to generate real-time auditory feedback. The software provides four types of output sound in consideration of personal preference and long-term use. Three experiments were carried out. T

Many U.S. adolescents struggle with obesity and a lack of motivation to be healthy and physically active, which affects individual as well as public health. The purpose of this mixed-method study was to evaluate students' motivation to participate in physical education class and better understand the teaching strategies currently used by physical education teachers who participated in an interview and 2 observations. Self-determination theory framed the research questions, which focused on students' intrinsic motivation to participate in physical education class and physical education teachers

Abstract:
Based on self-determination theory and achievement goal theory, the research investigated pre-adolescent (9-12 years of age) children’s motivational orientations in physical education. Various factors were identified that impact on children's motivation. Some differences in motivation emerged based on age, gender, level of motor proficiency and national culture. The findings of the research could inform the design of physical education programs and interventions to stimulate children’s motivation to actively engage in the class.

Abstract:
PE lessons are a unique context to address the declining levels of physical activity in the UK, offering the opportunity for students to achieve age appropriate physical activity recommendations. Therefore, it is imperative that researchers and practitioners understand variables that underpin students motivational processes in PE lessons. Psychological resilience refers to the idea that some individuals are able to positively adapt to the stressors they encounter. Conceptual theorisers of resilience propose that the concept comprises three constructs: stressors, positive adaptation, and protec
