Background: Proficient delivery of motivational interviewing (MI) is often determined by global rating of relational elements or cumulative tallies of technical elements. Yet limited empirical evidence exists to clarify how relational and technical elements are associated, or if rates of skill indices and their constituent technical elements vary within a clinical encounter. Aims: This study sought to document temporal variance in rates of MI skill indices and their constituent technical elements during brief clinical encounters with a standardized patient wherein delivery was “MI-proficient”,

In criticism of this, it is argued that when we sever the link between reasons and desires we encounter a problem about whether the internalism requirement holds for pure practical reasons. As technology increasingly becomes an inseparable part of our present, we will encounter artificial intelligence (AI) more frequently in both formal and informal education. The use of AI can support student learning and growth, enhance their motivation and engagement, facilitate access to learning resources, and make the educational process more efficie

Using information technology in learning is more frequent and common, but some students encounter difficulties dealing with the new learning environment. Regarding the negative emotional feelings associated with the computer, the teacher's role is essential. The teacher can offer a model of learning organization through computer-based learning environments, but some teachers have negative attitudes toward computers. They rarely or never use the computers in their classroom, so the development of positive attitudes toward computers is a goal for pedagogical training. A sample of students enroll

Emotions are needed for human contact, which includes such essentials as conversation, getting folk into channels, communication design and education. Students often encounter problems from assignments requiring outstanding creativity and problem-solving skills. For many people, it can still prove challenging to have their emotional needs met; however, if they lack motivation and engagement, higher learning becomes less pleasant. Learning is about building knowledge. Learning theories fall into three categories: behaviorism, constructivism and cognitivism. Kindergarten activities lay the foundations for an openness to the concepts that children will encounter later. One of the teacher's tasks is to show the child how to learn, how to focus his or her attention in order to increase stability and distributivity and to observe, with interest, the material studied. The mastery of the teaching act consists in combining theoretical knowledge and practical usefulness in a unified process and supporting the child in acquiring

Abstract:
Since the adoption of the Performance Based Bonus (PBB) scheme in 2012, its effectiveness--particularly its impact on agencies' reform efforts and on public sector employees' motivation and productivity--have not yet been examined. The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) deems it critical to study the effect of the PBB on government efforts to boost productivity and push reforms, as well as government employees' individual and team-level motivations and productivity. The DBM wishes to determine whether the PBB is achieving its design objectives and, in turn, determine whether it is worth

Abstract:
The existing literature shows that women are more likely to pay taxes than men. Yet, there is less consensus on the gendered responses to interventions aimed at boosting tax compliance among non-payers. In this study, we exploit a field experiment designed to increase property tax compliance to investigate this gender disparity. Our findings reaffirm that women are typically more diligent in paying their taxes than men. Interestingly, while the receipt of a deterrence letter prompts women to pay earlier, it does not necessarily augment their overall compliance. Conversely, men, upon receiving
