Abstract:
The remarkable surge in demand for motorcycle repair and maintenance services within the motorcycle industry can be attributed to the growing number of motorcycles in the Philippines. This paper presents the development of the MotorCyclepp mobile application, designed to facilitate the finding of motorcycle mechanics in Metro Cebu, Philippines. With this app, riders can effortlessly locate and choose from a list of available mechanics within their vicinity and send service requests accordingly. Simultaneously, mechanics can conveniently review the received requests and decide whether to accept or decline them. Once a request is accepted, the service begins, and upon completion, both parties can conclude their transactions and provide feedback messages. The Input-Process-Output (IPO) model was employed as the system’s methodology. The user interface (UI) design was created using Unified Modeling Language (UML), such as a use case diagram, sequence diagram, and class diagram. The evaluation procedures utilized the ISO 9126 model, which examines five quality characteristics: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, and portability, for data analysis. The results revealed that the app is unique and interesting but requires further improvements. The significance of this research to the body of literature and the industry will provide future researchers with a valuable reference for advancing mechanic finder app innovations. Abstract:
Motorcycles are one of the main means of transportation for some people in carrying out their daily activities. Efficient, cost-effective time to the destination, as well as maintenance tools that are quite easy to obtain, make this motorcycle a priority among the community, and this is evidenced by the number of motorcycle users compared to other means of transportation on the road. From the description above, the author makes a system that can make it easier for users to find out problems that occur in the motor, which cause damage so that it can interfere with the activities to be carried out. The system that will be made is an expert system for detecting web-based motorcycle damage. This expert system is made using the BFS method, which is a combination of the two methods so as to produce the best decision from the two searches. The Best First Search method is a merger or combination of the Depth First Search and Breadth First Search methods. Depth First Search method or in-depth search, in this method the expert system will conduct an intensive and in-depth search of the given value or variable. And the Breadth First Search method works by analyzing each root node for immediate testing. From these results it can be concluded that the system is feasible to use and can be used as an alternative solution for the community. Make it easy for motorcycle users to find solutions for motorcycle damage, and make it easier for mechanics to repair motorcycles if they forget the symptoms of motorcycle damage experienced.

Abstract:
Automotive mechanics are exposed to an increased risk for occupational injuries (OI) to the hands, arms, head and teeth. The aim of this study was to assess the self-reported prevalence of OIs to the head, including traumatic dental injuries (TDIs), among automotive repair and maintenance workers dealing with motorcycles, cars and vehicles over 3.5 tons. We surveyed healthy mechanics in Swiss automotive repair workshops from 2019 to 2021. Overall, 121 automotive repair and maintenance workers responded to our 12-item questionnaire concerning their professional experience, protective measures and occupational injuries to the head and teeth (response rate: 12%). 119 were considered eligible for inclusion and two were excluded. Most persons surveyed (94%) were males with more than 10 years of professional experience. Eighty-five (72%) reported occupational injuries in general, 37 (43.5%) specified OIs to the head or tooth area, and 16 stipulated that these cases teeth were affected. The most common self-reported diagnosis was tooth fracture (p=0.191). Traumatic dental injury in childhood increased the odds ratio (OR) for occupational injury to the head or teeth by a factor of 2.4 (95% CI: 1.1, 5.5, p=0.036). Age, gender and dental trauma in childhood may also influence the prevalence of occupational injuries in general in this cohort. We conclude that occupational dental accidents in automotive repair workshops can be reduced by raising awareness of this issue and by taking effective preventive measures.

Abstract:
Carbon monoxide was one of the indicators of air pollution that most often comes from motor vehicles. Indirectly, increasing the number of motorcycles would be followed by an increase in the number of workshops that provide maintenance services. The process of maintenance and repair in the workshop causes carbon monoxide (CO) levels in the air to be higher from the standard so it was easily inhaled by workers and the internal mechanism reacts became carboxyhemoglobin (HbCO). This study aims to analyze the effect of CO levels in the workshop air and smoking habits of workers on HbCO levels in the blood of workshop mechanic workers. This research was an observational analytic study with 18 respondents as workshop mechanic workers who were male. Respondents in this study were identified based on age, years of service, length of work, use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and nutritional status. The results showed that most respondents aged 25-36 years -old (38,9%), had a year of service ≥ 5 years (55,6%), had smoking habits (72,2%), did not use PPE (88,9%) and had a normal nutritional status (47,2%). CO levels in the air had a significant correlation on HbCO levels (p <0,000) as well as smoking habits also had a significant correlation on HbCO levels (p <0,000). It was recommended for workers to reduce smoking habits, improved healthy lifestyles, and used masks to reduce exposure to pollutants.

The paper considers the methodological aspects of calculating the index of revealed comparative advantages (Balassa index) for the needs of the theory of global value chains. In the event of economic shocks, knowledge of the geographic origin of value added in exports helps to consider comprehensively the issue of diversification of partners in global value chains (GVCs) and contributes to faster policy decision-making, early recovery or replacement of affected links in global value chains. For the first time, comparative advantage indices were calculated for sectors of the Russian economy in terms of value added rather than gross exports. This allowed obtaining the more objective data about the presence of revealed comparative advantages in the GVC era. The study uses ADB MRIO data on value-added trade for 2011 and 2021, from which the RCAf (for forward links in GVCs) and RCAb (for backward links in GVCs) indices are calculated. Using the World Bank methodology, indices of direct and reverse participation in GVCs were calculated. The results obtained show the presence of comparative advantages in both the mining and manufacturing sectors of the Russian economy. At the same time, comparative advantage has been lost in some service sectors, such as the Sales, Maintenance, and Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles sector. In industrial sectors, comparative advantages tend to increase, especially in the sectors of extraction of minerals, timber, and metals.

Abstract:
Motorcycles in Iran, especially in metropolises such as Tehran, are used extensively for various reasons such as low maintenance costs, high maneuverability, and the possibility of entering congestion priced zones without paying a toll. Nevertheless, motorcycles are involved in 25% of accidents and produce almost 30% of air and 50% of noise pollution in Tehran. Current research aims to investigate possible scenarios for reducing the use of motorcycles in Tehran’s traffic and transportation master plan strategies. After designing the scenarios, a stated preference method is used for gathering the required data from various groups of motorcycle riders in Tehran. More than 2,000 questionnaires were completed of which 1,766 were deemed acceptable for data entering and further analysis. Increasing the price of motorcycle maintenance and charging motorcycles to enter the congestion priced zone of Tehran (CPZT) were two main scenarios which were considered in this research. Multinomial and nested logit models were applied to analyze the trip choice behavior of motorcycle riders who had participated in the survey. Results indicated that strategies such as increasing motorcycle maintenance costs could be effective in reducing the use of motorcycles. For instance, increasing motorcycle maintenance costs by 4.7 times and imposing a 70,000 IRR toll price to enter the CP zone resulted in a 66% reduction in motorcycle mode choice by motorcycle riders.

Abstract:
An addition of centrifugal pump on the engine of automatic motorcycles is expected to become one of the solutions for fire incidents in densely populated areas in big cities. Many cases of fire-related incidents have not been handled properly due to limitations of access for fire engines such as narrow alleys. The effectiveness of the centrifugal pump for firefighter motorcycles is determined by the optimum function of the pump performance according to the desired specification. The repair of the brackets and the clutch mechanism for the pump in the engine of automatic motorcycles may assist to the full effectiveness of the pump. The repair is based on the stability of the number of cycle on the centrifugal pump during the cycle of the motorcycle engine without any load. There is no disruption to the motorcycle cruise control or an increase of load due to the addition of centrifugal pump in the motorcycle’s engine. By using the magnetic clutch which uses the electrical energy in the connection and disconnection of the joint, this model will be useful since it does not disrupt the motorcycle cruise performance and does not add an extra load to the motorcycle torso.

Abstract:
This paper proposes three age-dependent preventive maintenance models with imperfect repair and/or imperfect preventive maintenance (pm). In these models imperfect repair is treated in a way that after repair the lifetime of a unit will decrease to a fraction of its immediately previous one and its repair time will increase to a multiple of immediately previous one. In this paper, the expected maintenance cost rate and asymptotic average availability are derived with a consideration that the maintenance and repair times are not negligible. The optimum maintenance policies are then determined for the three imperfect maintenance models respectively. A class of related optimization problems is also discussed. Finally, a numerical example is presented to illustrate the results.

Abstract:
Motorcycles are a means of transportation that are often used in daily activities, increasingly sophisticated technological developments have begun to be combined with the help of electronic control circuits such as an injection system to control combustion in the motorcycle combustion chamber or indicators to show a hot engine temperature that makes it easier for motorcycle owners to maintain the vehicle. Therefore, because of the lack of workshops or vehicle service services here the author will share information about motorcycle maintenance that can be done alone to save costs and can be developed as a form of business, such as a workshop. With the lack of information, most people only use motorbikes for their daily needs and ignore motorbike maintenance. Here the author will educate the community on how to take care of their two-wheeled vehicles in the citeureup 1 hamlet with methods of socializing the importance of caring for two-wheeled vehicles, training on caring for two-wheeled vehicles, and evaluating to ensure that people can take care of their own motorbikes. This program also has the aim that the people of Citeureup 1 Hamlet, Kutamukti Village, Kutawaluya District, Karawang Regency are able to maintain their own motorcycles and can be developed as a form of business, namely workshops.

Abstract:
Electric bicycles (EBs) are now becoming the main vehicles for short-distance trips because of their speediness, flexibility and convenience in many cities in China. However, these benefits come at a cost. This study analyzed the energy consumption and emission of pollutants at every stage of the EB life cycle (production, use, maintenance and recycling) by using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). The environmental impacts and the energy consumption in production and use were quantified and compared with other competing modes of transport, such as bicycles, buses, motorcycles and cars. The results show that the energy consumption and emissions of pollutants by EBs occur mainly in the use stage, and specifically in the process of electricity production and battery change. The emissions of pollutants by EBs per person per kilometer are several times smaller than the values for motorcycles and cars, more or less equivalent to buses and higher than bicycles.
