GEORGES MOUNIN, PIONEER OF FRENCH TRANSLATION STUDIES Georges Mounin developed his reflections on translation in a series of texts published from 1953 and can thus be regarded as one of the founders of translation studies in France and in the French language. His early research dates back to the same time as Fedorov’s, who represents what might be called the Russian school of translation. This paper seeks to analyse Georges Mounin’s work, which spans 40 years, until his death in 1993. His legacy is not just bibliographical, it is also that of a teacher with remarkable communication skills who

Abstract:
This study explores spatial patterns of overflights at Saguaro National Park. Data were collected from on top of a tack shed located along the western boundary of the Rincon Mountain District. Overflights were analyzed from December 24, 2024–February 11, 2025 (50 total days; 13 days of missing data) using Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) data. Phase 1 of analysis focused on all overflights and found more overflights above the Tucson Mountain District than the Rincon Mountain District. Phase 2 of analysis focused on low-level overflights that fly between 2,000 to 10,000 feet a

Abstract:
Surface area of glaciers and perennial snow within Mount Rainier National Park were delineated based on 2021 aerial Structure-from-Motion (SfM) and satellite imagery to document changes to glaciers over the last 125 years. These extents were compared with previously completed databases from 1896, 1913, 1971, 1994, 2009, and 2015. In addition to the glacial features mapped at the Park, any snow patches noted in satellite- and fixed-wing- acquired aerial images in September 2021 were mapped as perennial snowfields. In 2021, Mount Rainier National Park contained a total of 28 named glaciers which
