Abstract Objective The base rate of performance validity test (PVT) failure in the military has been relatively well established and averages approximately 33% in clinical and 50% in disability samples, respectively. Secondary gain is an omnipresent concern; however, frank malingering may not account for all cases of PVT failure. As a result, other psychological and social factors potentially associated with PVT failure have been suggested and include nocebo effect, diagnosis threat, perceived injustice, and loss aversion. We examined performance on the Multisource Interference Task (MSIT) as a moderator of the relationship between traumatic experience and posttraumatic stress symptom (PTSS) severity. A college sample ( N = 108) completed the MSIT, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Task (WCST), and self-report questionnaires. Both MSIT and WCST performance were examined in moderation models to demonstrate the specificity of MSIT performance as a moderator. Absolute processing speed during the MSIT significantly moderated the relationship between number of traumatic experiences and PTSS severity. Moderation was not demo

AbstractMesenchymal stem cell therapy (MSCT) is an innovative treatment for rheumatic diseases. Underlying mechanism of how MSCT works in rheumatic diseases are still uncertain and with various hypotheses. Animal studies in MSCT show conflicting results mainly attributed by the differences in administration methods of MSCT, types of MSC use and randomization procedures. Human studies of MSCT are so far small scale but with satisfactory results in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Human studies of MSCT, however, showed less rewarding results in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
