Abstract:
The COVID-19 virus, which emerged in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei region, became a pandemic by affecting the whole world in a short time. Global microeconomic and macroeconomic effects have emerged as a result of the effects of COVID-19. The aim of this study is to determine the status of the enterprises in Muğla province, Menteşe district, Kötekli neighborhood during the pandemic process. The main livelihood of Kötekli enterprises is the university students residing here due to the location of the university campus. For this reason, businesses have been under a very serious debt burden during the pandemic. There is no project for structuring this debt. It has been revealed that 48.93% of the businesses in the region are closed. In addition to these businesses, 10 businesses are considering closing their businesses. If it is one of the most striking points in the study; Only 5.1% of the enterprises liked the support policy of the state, 12.2% of them could get fixed expense support from the state. Only 14.3% of the enterprises stated that they received cleaning material support (mask, protective clothing and disinfectant) from the state. This has brought the following conclusion; Both the local government and the central government did not provide satisfactory assistance to the tradesmen in the region.

Abstract:
This study aims to reveal the perceptions of preservice music teachers on the concepts of “Distance Education, Home, Graduation, University and Future” through metaphors. The study group of the research consists of 80 preservice music teachers studying the final year of their undergraduate education at the Department of Music Education in Gazi University, Kastamonu University, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Uludağ University, Van Yüzüncüyıl University, Necmettin Erbakan University and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University as of 2020-2021 academic year. Data of the research were collected by participants completing the sentence “The concept reminds me of….because….”. Collected data were analyzed with content analysis method. Participants developed 133 different metaphors; 26 related to distance education, 19 to home, 27 to graduation, 29 to university, and 32 to the concept of the future. While the metaphors they developed on the concept of distance education reflect a negative view, those about home and graduation are considered to be relatively positive. The metaphors developed on the concept of university express a longing rather than representing either a positive or a negative view. Future, on the other hand, was a concept on which preservice music teachers came up with the highest number of metaphors and all found ambiguous. Distribution of the metaphors developed by the participants and the sample sentences selected from the opinions are demonstrated under the relevant headings.

Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of the present study is to determine the difference of self-leadership perceptions for university student-athletes in terms of sociodemographic characteristics. The research involved 167 university student-athletes aged 18-21 years (Muğla and Kocaeli at Turkey). Self-leadership perceptions were measured by the Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaire. The number of strategies of selfleadership was calculated in the distribution of mean scores. It was found that variables such as age, education status of mother, and monthly income of the university students do not cause any difference in the levels of self-leadership perceptions. On the other hand, other factors were determined to create statistically significant differences in the use of self-leadership strategies: gender; dealing with sport outside of school; taking part in teams; branch of interested sport; education status of father; socioeconomic status; personal sport history of athletes. It has revealed that not only the psychical factors but also behavioral, cognitive, and psychological factors of self-leadership have important roles in increasing the performance of student-athletes in sport activities.

Abstract:
The current study focused on exploring attitudes towards sportive activities of mentally disabled individuals shown by the 1st and 4th year candidate teachers who studied at teaching departments of Education Faculty and Sports Sciences Faculty of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University during 2015-2016 academic year. In the study; a general survey model was used. “Personal Information Form” designed by the researchers and “Attitude Scale of Individuals Having Mental Disabilities towards Sports Activities (ASIHMDSA)” designed by İlhan, Esentürk and Yarımkaya (2016) were administered to the participants. Attitudinal levels of the participants were compared in relation to sex, academic grade, presence of a disabled member in the family, witnessing sportive activities of the disabled and receiving sports education for the disabled during their education. Sample of the study was consisted of a total of 560 candidate teachers who volunteered to join the study (336 female candidate teachers and 224 male candidate teachers). Mann-Whitney U was used for data analyses. As far as the study-findings were concerned, there were no statistically significant differences in participants’ level of attitudes towards sportive activities of mentally disabled individuals in terms of sex, witnessing sportive activities of the disabled, presence of a disabled member in the family and academic grades (P>0.05). However, in the comparisons statistically significant differences were found in terms of receiving sports education for the disabled during their education and faculty types (P<0.05). As a result; it may be argued that it will have a positive impact for candidate teachers to receive sports courses for the disabled during their higher education in order to raise attitudinal level towards sportive activities of mentally disabled individuals.Extended English abstract is in the end of PDF (TURKISH) file.ÖzetBu araştırma, 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılı Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Eğitim ve Spor Bilimleri Fakültelerinin öğretmen yetiştirme bölümlerine devam eden 1 ve 4. Sınıf, öğretmen adaylarının, zihinsel engelli bireylerin sportif etkinliklerine yönelik tutumlarını belirleme amacına odaklanmıştır. Çalişmada genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Katılımcılara, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve İlhan, Esentürk ve Yarımkaya (2016) tarafından geliştirilen “Zihinsel Engelli Bireylerin Sportif Etkinliklerine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (ZEBSEYTÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların tutum düzeyleri, cinsiyet, sınıf, ailede engelli bir bireyin bulunup bulunmaması, engellilerin spor eğitimine tanık olma durumları ve eğitimleri içerisinde engellilere yönelik spor eğitimi alma durumları açılarından mukayese edilmiştir. Çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul eden 336’sı kadın, 224’ü erkek olmak üzere genel toplamda 560 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda katılımcıların, cinsiyet, engellilerin spor eğitimine tanık olma, ailede engelli bireye sahip olma ve sınıf değişkenleri açısından, zihinsel engelli bireylerin sportif etkinliklerine yönelik tutum düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir (P>0,05). Buna karşılık, eğitimleri içerisinde, engellilere yönelik spor eğitimi alma değişkeni ve öğrenim gördükleri fakülteler açısından yapılan karşılaştırmada, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde farklılık tespit edilmiştir (P<0,05). Sonuç olarak, zihinsel engellilerin spor etkinliklerine yönelik tutum düzeyinin arttırılabilmesi için, öğretmen adaylarının eğitimleri içerisinde Engellilerde Spor dersi almalarının, pozitif yönde bir etkiye sahip olabileceği söylenebilir.

Abstract:
The first and most important step of teaching Turkish to foreigners is to enable individuals to acquire four basic language skills. Writing, which is generally considered to be the last of these skills, is seen as the most difficult skill to be acquired by students. Writing autonomy is an ability that can increase individuals’ attitudes and motivation towards writing, improve students’ writing skill and contribute to the accomplishment of effective and permanent learning. The purpose of the current study is to investigate the relationship between the writing autonomy and writing skill of students learning Turkish as a foreign language. The study group of the current study is comprised of 129 B1 and B2 level students attending the Turkish Teaching Centres in Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Uşak University and Bursa Uludağ University in the 2020/2021 academic year. In the study, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was employed. The data of the study were collected with the compositions written by the students, a “Personal Information Form”, a “Written Expression Rubric” and the “Writing Autonomy Scale”. Abstract:
The aim of the study was to demonstrate the opinions of teacher candidates, who were born after 2000 and called generation Z, about the concept of school autonomy. This is quantitative research conducted according to the descriptive survey model. The data obtained is based on the responses given by teacher candidates to the “School Autonomy” questionnaire that was prepared for school administrators for the 2012 PISA exam. The target population of the study consisted of teacher candidates who studied in the Faculty of Education of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in Turkey in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic years. Questionnaires were distributed to all teacher candidates (351) in education faculty. The questionnaires were applied to face-to-face interviews with teacher candidates. Generation Z (teacher candidates) in general hold the opinion that theauthority to make decisions should lie with school when it comes to determining the annual school budget, making disciplinary decisions about students, evaluating students’ success, accepting students to school, choosing textbooks and determining the courses to be taught. Generation Z also believes that the ministry, provincial education directorates, and schools should cooperate in the selection of schools and the determination of their annual salaries.

This study aimed to determine the effect of using learning strategies on piano performance self-efficacy levels and performance success among piano students. The study group comprised first year students (n = 20) receiving piano course in the fall semester of the 2019–2020 academic year in the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts, Program of Education Music Education. The study used an experimental research design and data were collected using the Self-Efficacy Scale of Piano Performance and an observation form. The study results indicated that there were significant differences in favor of the experimental group regarding piano performance success, comparing the post-test scores of the experimental group, in which activities were performed for the use of learning strategies in piano course, and the control group, which received education in a regular process. However, no statistically significant difference was found between piano performance self-efficacy levels of the experimental and control groups. The study revealed that the use of learning strategies in piano education did not play a role in the piano performance self-efficacy level, but that it was much more effective in increasing students’ piano performance success than the existing process-based education.

Abstract:
This study, with the aim of identifying the predictive power of the five-factor personality traits of music teacher candidates on individual instrument performance anxiety, was designed according to the relational screening model. The study population was students attending the Music Education branch of Fine Arts Education Departments in Educational Faculties in Turkey with the sample comprising 256 students attending the Music Education branch of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Pamukkale University and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University during the 2016-2017 academic year. For data collection in the study, the Individual Instrument Performance Test Anxiety Scale developed by Dalkıran et al. (2014) and the Adjective-based Personality Test developed by Bacanlı et al. (2009) according to the five factor concept were used. Correlation analysis was performed to test whether there was a significant correlation between the individual instrument performance anxiety of students and the five factor personality traits. Additionally, to determine the predictive power of the five factor personality traits on individual instrument test performance anxiety of Music Education branch students, standard multiple regression analysis was performed. Data were tested at the significance level of 0.05. According to the obtained data, it can be said there is a significant correlation between the individual instrument performance anxiety levels and the five factor personality traits of Music Education branch students. A positive and high level relationship was identified between performance anxiety levels and the five factor personality trait of emotional balance/neuroticism, while there was no correlation with agreeableness and performance anxiety level. Extraversion and openness to experience had a negative correlation with performance anxiety level, while there was a positive correlation observed between conscientiousness and performance anxiety. The five factor personality traits of emotional balance/neuroticism and conscientiousness positively and significantly predicted performance anxiety, while extraversion negatively and significantly predicted performance anxiety level. Contrarily, openness to experience and agreeableness were not identified to significantly predict performance anxiety level.

Abstract:
It is possible to find waste classification and waste management studies related to the food and beverage industry in the literature. Waste classifications and counts have been made in restaurants, hotel kitchens or production areas of mass nutrition systems. However, there is no waste management study related to educational kitchens in the literature. Educational kitchens differ from other kitchen applications interms of purpose and content. In educational kitchens, there is a variety of products, a variety ofproduction, and a small amount of production. Studies in these kitchens are carried out not for one type, but for the products of all different types of production. There are lessons in Ottoman cuisine, Turkish cuisine, regional cuisines, world cuisine, pastry, bread and many other fields. In addition, it is possible to increase the amount of waste due to mistakes and wrong applications during production. In educational kitchens, which are different for these and other reasons, information should be given not only on food production; but also on how to make production without waste andhow to reduce waste. Bringing this awareness to kitchen workers of the future at the beginning of their studies will be beneficial in the sectoral sense. For these purposes, the tools and equipment used in all applications and wastes produced in the application kitchen of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Ortaca Vocational School Cooking Program were counted, classified and recorded over a period of two weeks. According to the data obtained, it was concluded that the highest waste was production waste, while the second highest waste was food waste at the end of the day. Suggestions were made for the recycling of production and food waste; and for waste-free production practices training.

Abstract:
Natural resources which human beings used for fulfilling their basic needs in the past have considerably started to be consumed especially because of the industrial evolution based on fossil fuels and technological developments. Unconscious overconsumption of natural sources has resulted in an increase in environmental problems. These increasing problems and their sensible effects on living creatures have led people to protect the environment and to raise their environmental awareness. Within this scope, in recent years, lessons dealing with environment have started to be given in every phase of the Turkish Educational System from preschool education to university. Within this scope, in recent years, lessons dealing with environment have started to be given in every phase of the Turkish Educational System from preschool education to university. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the opinions of associate students, who actively study at Ortaca Vocational High School, dealing with the necessity of environment and nature protection and with the scenarios which might happen as a result of the environmental disruption. In this context, a survey consisting of 21 questions was conducted and the answers of 284 students were analysed by using arithmetic mean(X), percentage, frequency analysis, two independent samples “t” test and One-way Anova. As a conclusion, it is found that environmental consciousness of the participants increases along with their ages, levels of income and education and it is also found that consciousness of the female participants is higher than the male participants. Abstract:
This research is a study of Ethnomathematics. In this case, we view Ethnomathematics as an intersection between mathematics, mathematical modelling, and cultural anthropology. The purpose of this study is to determine the average height of Bali Mula ancestors communities in the area of Ancient Caldera Batur. We use exploration, observation, experimentation, documentation, and interviews method. In the initial stage of the study, we determine the relationship between the finger length index and the height body of Bali Mula male. The linear regression equation expresses the relationship, which is a length of the index finger as a predictor variable. Moreover, measure the pillars width of some houses Saka Roras and substituting it, we have the regression equation. Consequently, we estimate the average height of the Bali Mula ancestors in Kintamani area are 165 cm. Since it contains linier regression concepts, prediction the average height of Bali Mula ancestors from their traditional homes may be used as the context in mathematical (statistical) learning at school or university.

Abstract:
An experiment was conducted in a 19-years old aonla orchard from October 2019 to January 2020 at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) research farm to determine the performance of different radish varieties in aonla based multistoried agroforestry systems. The study consisted of two factors viz. four agroforestry systems (aonla + carambola, aonla + lemon, aonla only, and open field) and four radish varieties (BU mula-1, BARI Mula-1, BARI Mula-2 and Rocky 45) laid out in a two factorial randomized complete block design with three replications. Findings exhibited that light availability in the open field was 727.02 µmol m-2s-1 which was significantly higher over the aonla based multistoried agroforestry systems. Light received by the aonla + lemon, aonla, and aonla + carambola systems were 74.13, 65.57, and 52.77% of the open field, respectively. The highest (276.47 g) leaf fresh weight produced by Rocky 45 was noticed in aonla + carambola system and the lowest leaf weight produced by BU mula-1 was found in an open field. The highest root fresh weight (592 g) was produced by Rocky 45 in the open field, and the lowest root fresh weight (102.60 g) was produced by BU mula-1 in aonla + carambola based system. The highest root yield (39.47 t/ha) of Rocky 45 was produced in an open field and a higher leaf yield (18.43 t/ha) was reported in BU mula-1 among four radish varieties. Among four radish varieties, Rocky 45 performed better yield in open field conditions and aonla based agroforestry system.

Abstract:
The Islamic Scholars have taken care of the Holy Qur’an, whether in its interpretation, its context, or the various sciences related to it. Among others, Mulla Ali al-Qari al-Harawi, who devoted himself to the service of the knowledge of the Qur’an and compiled valuable books, including his exegesis called Anwar al-Qur’an and Secrets of the Qur’an. In this article, we made our humble effort by presenting Mulla Ali al-Qari al-Harawi’s interpretation and explaining his method in this interpretation so that the reader could reach an evaluation of this interpretation, and this is the main objective of this study. In this study, we analyzed the approach of Mulla Ali Al-Qari in his interpretation of the lights of the Qur’an and the secrets of Al-Furqan by tracing what Al-Mulla took in this interpretation in its various aspects, in addition to the critical approach that depends on discussing holy text and clarifying what is true from what is invalid. Al-Mulla Ali Al-Qari approached his interpretation of a verbal approach in accordance with the method of the people of knowledge, and this is distinguished by its interpretation from many aspects, including that it is a Quranic university that combines the verity of interpretation of the Qur’an, regardless of some of the negative aspects of this interpretation, it has many advantages that replaced it from the basic references in the science of interpretation. The search was organized after an introduction and preface in four sections. The first topic: his tendency in the interpretation of the devil text. The second: his concern for interpretation by opinion. The third: His interest in the sciences of the Qur’an. And the fourth: its interpretation in the balance.

Abstract:
The number of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java is constantly increasing during 2016-2021 period. Many of them are new ventures which are in the process of introducing their products or services to the market; or are developing their customer base. Previous researches find that new venture viability is determined by owner-manager’s Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy (ESE). This research aims to analyse three factors that are thought to influence ESE, namely: formal education of entrepreneurship (PFK), family support (DK), and entrepreneurial personality (EP). Furthermore, the effect of ESE to new venture viability will be tested. The samples used in this research are graduate of Bachelor of Management program, X Private University in Bandung Municipality who have undertaken Entrepreneurship courses and owned and managed his or her own business. Data is collected through close-ended questionnaires and is processed using SEM-PLS. Thereafter, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted to validate the statistical results. The research finds that: (1) EP significantly and positively affects ESE, and (2) ESE significantly and positively affects new venture viability. Keywords: entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE); entrepreneurial personality; new venture viability.
