Abstract:
One of major obstacles in the application of the k-means clustering algorithm is the selection of the number of clusters k. The multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT)-based k-means clustering algorithm is proposed to tackle the problem by incorporating user preferences. Using MAUT, the decision maker's value structure for the number of clusters and other attributes can be quantitatively modeled, and it can be used as an objective function of the k-means. A target clustering problem for military targeting process is used to demonstrate the MAUT-based k-means and provide a comparative study. The result shows that the existing clustering algorithms do not necessarily reflect user preferences while the MAUT-based k-means provides a systematic framework of preferences modeling in cluster analysis.

Abstract:
Selection of the best employee is a form of appreciation that can be shown by the company for the achievements of its employees. This appreciation can motivate employees to be more enthusiastic in improving their performance at work. Appropriate evaluation and decision-making methods need to be taken so that the best employee selection process runs objectively, transparently, and in accordance with established standards. This study aimed to select the best employee candidates at PT Kerry Express Indonesia using the multi attribute utility theory (MAUT) method. The criteria for the selection process as follows: attendance (weight = 2), output obtained (weight = 3), discipline (weight = 3), and reporting (weight= 2). The employees in this study were 30 respondents from 150 populations. The assessment was carried out for three months from January to April 2022. The calculations were carried out using the Microsoft Access tool. The results of calculations using the MAUT method show that the highest rank among all candidates has a score of 7.75 while the lowest rank had a score of 3.25. It can be concluded that the MAUT method can be used to select the best employees at PT. Kerry Express Indonesia effectively and efficiently.

Permasalahan tersebut dapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode sistem pendukung keputusan Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) supaya proses pengambilan keputusan dapat lebih cepat dilakukan. Dimana analisis metode MAUT yang cocok untuk kriteria yang banyak. Kriteria penilaian yang digunakan terdiri dari 10 kriteria antara lain pendapatan orang tua, status kepemilikan rumah, kondisi perumahan, jumlah tanggungan, status orang tua, raport, prestasi akademik, prestasi non akademik, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan pengalaman berorganisasi dengan total 50 dataset. Proses penelitian terdiri dari literatur ilmiah, identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, analisis metode MAUT, pemeringkatan dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan metode MAUT dapat membantu tim seleksi penerima beasiswa dengan proses yang cepat, efektif dan objektif dalam proses pengambilan keputusan.

Effectively selling products online is a challenging task. Today's product domains often contain a dizzying variety of brands and models with highly complex sets of characteristics. This paper addresses the problem of supporting product search and selection in domains containing large numbers of alternatives with complex sets of features. A number of online shopping websites provide product choice assistance by making direct use of Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). While the MAUT approach is appealing due to its solid theoretical foundations, there are several reasons that it does not fit well with people's decision making behavior. This paper presents an approach designed to better fit with people's natural decision making process. The system is called VMAP for Visualizing Multi-Attribute Preferences. VMAP provides on one screen both a multi-attribute preference tool (MAP-tool) and a product visualization tool (V-tool). The product visualization tool displays the set of available products, with each product displayed as a point in a 3D attribute space. By viewing the product space, users can gain an overview of the range of available products, as well as an understanding of the relationships between their attributes. The MAP-tool integrates expression of preferences and filter conditions, which are then immediately reflected in the V-tool display. In this way, the user can immediately see the consequences of his expressed preferences on the product space. The VMAP system is evaluated on a number of factors by comparing users' subjective ratings of the system to those of a more traditional MAUT product selection tool. The results show that while VMAP is somewhat more difficult to use than a traditional MAUT product selection tool, it provides better flexibility, provides the ability to more effectively explore the product domain, and produces more confidence in the selected product.

The better the ranking of the college, the more popular the campus. In this study the author discusses the case of campus ranking in the city of Medan where the results to be received are the best campus decision making with the method used is the MAUT (Multi Attribute Utility Theory) method. The aim is to see what results can be given by using the MAUT method in determining the best campus in the city of Medan which results in ranking the campus in Medan. Does it provide optimal results or not. But every case that is solved using the methods in artificial intelligence, in this case the MAUT method is a method of the Decision Support System, certainly provides optimal results even though the results given are not complete or complete. Therefore, the writer has a vision going forward, conducting research in this field, especially for the case of campus ranking. In this study the variables used in determining campus ranking are Institutional, Student Activities, Lecturer HR, Research and Community Service, and Innovation. These five variables in the future can be added or subtracted as needed. The results obtained are optimal ranking results but are still limited to the reference model for internal institutions.

Purpose – Despite substantial advances in technologies enhancing the energy efficiency of buildings, they remain the largest consumers of energy in the USA compared with other sectors. In addition, the current rating systems for sustainable buildings do not reflect all potential energy savings during the design, construction, and occupancy of the built environment. The purpose of this paper is to examine the application of multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT) as a framework for quantifying energy decisions made during the design phase of a building construction project. Design/methodology/approach – The MAUT method was applied to a case study, and the results were compared with subjective results from the decision makers. Analysis of the results suggested that MAUT is a decision analysis tool that could aid decision makers in communicating their decision criteria and expectations. Findings – Findings from this research suggest that using an analysis method provides the decision makers with a systematic way to include their concerns and preferences and specific requirements of the project along with the criteria for sustainable energy and the built environment at the same time. Using a multi-criteria, decision-making method provides the decision makers with quantitative information, which facilitates the comparison of alternatives. MAUT enabled the various stakeholders of the project to collaborate on the inputs of the problems and allowed the decision makers to communicate their priorities and expectations more effectively. Originality/value – The findings indicated that MAUT provides stakeholders with a quantitative and holistic approach to decision making in which they can track changes in parameters during the process. The implementation of MAUT as a decision analysis tool in designing construction projects ultimately could lead to better decision making for sustainable building designs.

Existing optimal software release problems have been discussed by using an evaluation criterion such as cost, reliability, delivery. When we use the methods by those evaluation criteria, the optimal release time is determined by an evaluation criterion. However, it is more realistic that we determine the optimal release time with multiple attributes. Therefore, in this study, we estimate the optimal release time by using multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT). Since MAUT is one of utility theories, we can estimate an optimal release time and change-point from the perspective of utility by maximizing the multi-attribute utility function. Especially, we consider the both of two attributes: cost and reliability. Then, we apply a software reliability growth model (SRGM) with change-point to represent the cost and reliability attributes. Concretely, we use an exponential SRGM with change-point. That is, we can estimate not only the optimal release time but also change-point. Finally, we show numerical examples by using actual data sets. Especially, we check the behavior of the optimal release time, change-point, total software cost and utility.

Motorcycles are a highly efficient and effective means of transport. Currently, the increasing number of motorcycle products allows consumers to buy the correct motorcycle and according to their wishes, requirements, and abilities. The objective is to design and use the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method to choose a motorcycle product. The MAUT method has advantages, including simple calculations, leads to the ultimate value used to classify vehicles and determines the weight value of the criteria that leads to vehicle selection according to the buyer's wishes and needs. The data sources are based on the data required, namely observations and interviews with the public as motorcycle users and motorcycle dealers in the North Sumatra Region as a sample. Price, quality, design, after sales, fuel consumption and popularity are the criteria for evaluation. While Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki for motorcycles moped; sport; and matic are the alternatives used in research. The ranking results are obtained with the final value on alternative 1 = 0.8500; alternative 2 = 0.7500; and alternative 3 = 0.2250, so alternative 1 (Honda (New Vario 125 Esp CBS-ISS) is the alternative chosen as a recommendation in the selection of two-wheeled vehicles based on needs. The results of this study demonstrate that MAUT can be used as a recommendation for the public in choosing motorcycle products based on needs.

Abstract : Ranishop shop is located in Asahan district, with a number of resellers of approximately 241 people. Ranishop stores give bonuses to the five best resellers for each month. The process of selecting the best reseller is carried out by employees with manual calculations. Manual calculations result in the results of the selection taking a long time. Determination of the best reseller, carried out every month. Therefore, an information system based on a decision support system is needed to speed up the process of selecting the best reseller. The decision support system made must be able to facilitate employees and shop owners in making decisions about choosing the best reseller. The calculation process begins by entering period data, alternative data, followed by the process of entering criteria data. The last process, performs calculations using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method. The results of the calculation process with the MAUT method will be sorted from the highest value to the lowest. Resellers who rank first to fifth will get a monthly bonus. The program created by the researcher is 100% the same as the results of calculations carried out by employees manually, but the MAUT program and method greatly accelerates the work of employees to determine the best reseller, so that work effectiveness is better. Perhitungan secara manual mengakibatkan hasil dari pemilihan membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Penentuan reseller terbaik, dilaksanakan setiap bulannya. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan sistem informasi yang berbasis sistem pendukung keputusan untuk mempercepat proses pemilihan reseller terbaik. Sistem pendukung keputusan yang dibuat harus dapat mempermudah karyawan dan pemilik toko dalam pengambilan keputusan tentang pemilihan reseller terbaik. Proses perhitungan dimulai dengan melakukan memasukkan data periode, data alternatif, dilanjutkan dengan proses memasukkan data kriteria. Proses yang terakhir, melakukan perhitungan menggunakan metode Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). Hasil proses perhitungan dengan metode MAUT akan di urutkan dari nilai tertinggi sampai yang terendah. Reseller yang menempati urutan pertama sampai urutan kelima, akan mendapatkan bonus bulanan. Program yang dibuat oleh peneliti 100% sama dengan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan oleh karyawan dengan cara manual, tetapi dengan program dan metode MAUT sangat mempercepat kerja karyawan untuk menentukan reseller terbaik, sehingga efektivitas kerja menjadi lebih baik. Abstract An endeavor to predict the optimum contingency value that balances between maintaining business competitiveness and achieving project objectives is definitely an essential contributor to the survival of contractors. The chief objective of this research, therefore, is to develop a mathematical prediction model of the optimum cost contingency value for building projects in Saudi Arabia. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique was used to define the most significant risk factors inherent in public work projects. The multi attribute utility theory (MAUT) technique was used to measure contractors’ risk attitudes and to establish the utility functions through MATLAB. The required data to build the model for the AHP and MAUT were collected from 17 contractors mostly through intensive face-to-face interviews and email-response to a developed structured questionnaire. The integrated contingency model reflects the basic dimensions of risk and considers the various risk attitudes of contractors. The model has been implemented in prototype software using object-oriented programming. Two completed local building construction projects were used to validate and demonstrate the use of the developed model in recommending the optimum cost contingency value for building projects in Saudi Arabia. The developed model was proven reliable in estimating the contingency with an accuracy skewed 9% to the high side.

Selection is a step in the recruitment process that determines whether prospective students who apply are a good fit for the program of study. The advancement of information systems facilitates the recruitment registration process. The decision support system is present to assist decision-makers in receiving appropriate recommendations for prospective teacher students who have been selected. This study employs the MAUT method's development, which is carried out in stages, hence the Multi-Level MAUT. Because assessment metrics are classified, we combine several MAUT methods to reach a final decision. The algorithm used produces good results, namely the ability to rank correctly based on stakeholder preferences.

Penilaian yang masih manual dianggap kurang produktif, subjektif, dan kurang efisien. Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) diperlukan untuk memudahkan pekerjaan tim juri dalam memutuskan petugas kesehatan teladan secara objektif, profesional dan transparan. Sistem yang dibangun ini berbasis stand-alone, dan dapat dijadikan alternatif terbaik untuk daerah yang akses internetnya belum cukup memadai. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui literature review dan wawancara langsung pada tim penilai tenaga kesehatan. Model yang digunakan adalah metode Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). Hasil metode MAUT dipilih karena tidak memiliki nilai cost dan benefit dalam menentukan keputusan. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan rekomendasi untuk pemilihan tenaga kesehatan teladan dengan hasil akurasi sebesar 86,67%. The selection of exemplary medical personnel is an annual event held by the Public Health office which aims to reward those who have already served in the community health centers. Manual evaluation method is considered to be less productive, subjective and less efficient. Decision Support System (DSS) is needed to facilitate the work of the jury team in determining exemplary health personnel to be more objective, professional and transparent. The system was built stand alone made as the best alternative for regions where internet access is not sufficient. This research was carried out through literature review and direct interviews with the health personnel assessment team. The model that was used in this research is Multi Attribute Utility Theory method. MAUT was used because it did not have the value of cost and benefit in determining decisions. This study has produced recommendations for the selection of exemplary health personnel with an accuracy of 86.67%.

Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an is a competition in the field of syiar ’s content. The decision of the winners in MTQ competition was determined by the judges, especially in Merauke district, is currently carried out by the judges of each field, with the calculation of the value based on predetermined criteria. However, in its assessment, it has not applied priority to the criteria used to determine the winner. The results of the assessment given have not used data analysis methods that can be used to process assessment data into information that will support decision making in determining the winner of the competition. In order to reduce subjectivity in the assessment of participants, a decision support system is needed that has implemented a decision-making method. This study aims to build a decision support system using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method. The results on the implementation of this method in a decision support system using an accuracy test indicated an accuracy of 95.6%. The accuracy value indicates that the MAUT method is an accurate data analysis method in analyzing the assessment data for determining the winner of the MTQ competition.

Hal ini dikarenakan adanya subjektifitas dalam penentuan tempat magang, mahasiswa memilih sendiri tempat magang tersebut yang terkadang belum mengetahui job desk yang akan dikerjakan. Selain itu koordinator magang jurusan merekomendasikan tempat magang berdasarkan penilaian pembimbing magang saat visitasi padahal tidak mengetahui keadaan sebenarnya yang telah terlaksana. Sehingga dalam hal ini dibutuhkan adanya sebuah sistem yang mampu membantu dalam pengambilan keputusan rekomendasi tempat magang. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan menerapkan metode pengembangan system Rapid Development Prototyping (RAD) dan penilaian rekomendasi diperoleh menggunakan metode MAUT (Multi Attribute Utility Theory). Metode MAUT akan mengolah penilaian dari masing kriteria (jam kerja, bobot tugas yang diberikan selama magang, kesesuaian tugas dengan keahlian, standar perusahaan, penerapan K3 di perusahaan, fasilitas dan peralatan praktik untuk peserta magang serta bidang keahlian) sesuai dengan bobot yang ditentukan dengan tujuan memberikan penilaian dari sisi mahasiswa yang telah selesai pelaksanaan magang terhadap industri bersangkutan. Pengujian pada aplikasi SIPGANG penentuan rekomendasi industry menggunakan uji kuisioner dengan Sistem Usability Scale (SUS) dan didapatkan hasil akhir 72 yang menyatakan bahwa system dalam kategori layak untuk digunakan.

River waste in Surakarta City primarily consists of biodegradable waste that can be processed by biological processes such as composting. However, there are various kinds of composting application techniques. This, of course, must be adapted to the conditions in Surakarta City. This study aims to conduct a decision analysis on debris processing techniques in Surakarta City using the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method. The criteria used are aesthetics, land requirements, ease of operation, ease of construction, and investment and operational costs. Alternatives used in composting are bamboo aerator system, hollow brick, and takakura arranges. The final assessment by MAUT showed that waste processing with hollow brick (0.802) had the highest weight and was followed by the bamboo aerator system (0.643). The final score for the takakura method is only 0.250, and this is because the weight on costs and land requirements is considerable compared to the other two alternatives.

Dengan melakukan observasi langsung, dalam upaya penyaluran raskin di Kelurahan Dempo mengalami beberapa kendala, seperti seleksi penerimaan bantuan raskin dilakukan dengan cara langsung memberi bantuan raskin kepada RTS ( Rumah Tanggan Sasaran) yang mana penulis anggap kurang tepat. Selain itu juga dalam penentuan kriteria yang masih di lihat dari beberapa aspek yang peneliti anggap masih kurang tepat sasaran. PurposeTo investigate the application of multi‐attribute utility theory (MAUT) to aid in the decision‐making process when performing benchmarking gap analysis.Design/methodology/approachMAUT is selected to identify the overall best‐in‐class (BIC) performer for performance metrics involving inventory record accuracy within a public sector warehouse. A traditional benchmarking analysis is conducted on 14 industry warehouse participants to determine industry best practices for the four critical warehouse metrics of picking and inventory accuracy, storage speed, and order cycle time. Inventory and picking tolerances are also investigated in the study. A gap analysis is performed on the critical metrics and the absolute BIC is used to measure performance gaps for each metric. The gap analysis results are then compared to the MAUT utility values, and a sensitivity analysis is performed to compare the two methods.FindingsThe results indicate that an approach based on MAUT is advantageous in its ability to consider all critical metrics in a benchmarking study. The MAUT approach allows the assignment of priorities and analyzes the subjectivity for these decisions, and provides a framework to identify one performer as best across all critical metrics.Research limitations/implicationsThis research study uses the additive utility theory (AUT) which is only one of multiple decision theory techniques.Practical implicationsA new approach to determine the best performer in a benchmarking study.Originality/valueTraditional benchmarking studies use gap analysis to identify a BIC performer over a single critical metric. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode MAUT (Multi-Attribute Utility Theory) untuk merekomendasikan destinasi wisata lokal yang ada di kota Sidamanik. Pengolahan nilai menggunakan metode Maut akan menghasilkan nilai rangking. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu rekomendasi destinasi tujuan wisata lokal di Kota Sidamanik adalah wisata Bah Biak. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pihak Dinas PUPR Provinsi Riau masih menggunakan cara manual terutama dalam menentukan rekomendasi calon penerima rumah tidak layak huni. Metode MAUT diselesaikan dengan prinsip memberikan nilai utilitas untuk setiap kriteria dengan rentang nilai 0 hingga 1 yang menunjukkan pilihan terburuk untuk nilai 0 (nol) dan pilihan terbaik untuk nilai 1 (satu), dengan perbandingan bobot nilai masingmasing kriteria menghasilkan perbandingan yang relevan antar kriteria. Hasil perangkingan berdasarkan data yang diproses dengan lima alternatif maka memperoleh hasil 18,0 atas nama kepala keluarga Siswanto dengan status layak mendapatkan bantuan perbaikan rumah dari Pemerintah Provinsi Riau.

Selection of a suitable disaster recovery solution is an essential activity performed in an enterprise to facilitate recovery of critical business functions and Information Technology (IT) systems within a tolerable time limit known as disaster recovery time (DRT). The estimation of optimal DRT plays a significant role in IT as it influences overall costs required to ensure business continuity. The estimation of optimal DRT depends upon the capabilities of a chosen disaster recovery solution and multiple conflicting attributes. This paper presents an integrated approach to selecting the best disaster recovery solution using analytic network process (ANP) and estimating optimal DRT using Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). ANP is applied to determine the best disaster recovery solution using seven criteria: people, recovery objectives, security, technology, cost, site infrastructure, and regulatory. MAUT estimates the optimal DRT for the best disaster recovery solution based on three conflicting attributes: cost, reliability, and processed backlog transactions. The proposed approach applies to an enterprise application in the banking sector and this paper tests its effectiveness by comparing the results from four different enterprises. This study offers valuable insights to the disaster recovery practitioner to select the best disaster recovery solution and to estimate optimal DRT.

The Faculty of Computer Science, Budi Darma University, Medan will conduct a selection of computer laboratory assistants for the 2022/2023 academic year, but the lecturers have difficulties in finding which students are eligible to become computer laboratory assistants. This research is based on these reasons, so the authors decided to use the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method to help make decisions to choose which students deserve to be computer laboratory assistants with the criteria of GPA, test scores, personality, teaching ability and experience with a number of alternatives 5 (Five) students. The use of the MAUT method is expected to determine the criteria for computer laboratory assistants, because the MAUT method will perform a ranking process based on attributes with different weights so that the results are more optimal, then a ranking process will be carried out which will determine the optimal alternative as well. As for 1 (one) alternative that deserves to be a computer laboratory assistant is Jesika Sirait with a result of 0.4085.

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is one of the government programs in guidance aimed at children from birth to the age of six years which is carried out through providing educational assistance to help growth and physical and spiritual development so that children have readiness in entering further education. MAUT application (Multi Attribute Utility Theory) is intended to select PAUD that has the right to get assistance from the government. Determination of policies taken as a basis for decision making, must use criteria that can be defined clearly and objectively. The criteria used as a requirement in the selection of receiving operational assistance (BOP) for early childhood education are parents 'work (C1), parents' income (C2), number of children (C3), number of children attending school (C4), number of college children (C5). The results of the calculation using the MAUT algorithm are alternatives that can receive the operational assistance of the organizer who has the highest value is alternative A1 with a value of 1, alternative A3 with a value of 0.7, alternative A9 with a value of 0.63, alternative A7 with a value of 0.46 , alternative A4 with a value of 0.43. Therefore, it can be concluded that the MAUT algorithm can be applied to VBNet-based applications where from the results of the calculation we get the similarity between the system and calculations using the MAUT algorithm. This research is expected to be a recommendation to the Principal in selecting the selection for receiving operational assistance for early childhood children at Kindergarten Daniel HKBP Tomuan Pematangsiantar.

Tujuan dari kajian ini yaitu merancang sebuah sistem rekomendasi film bagi kalangan konsumen perfilman. Perancangan sistem menggunakan metode MAUT atau Multi Attribute Utility Theory. Data yang digunakan pada sistem berasal dari IMDB (Internet Movie Database) yang diambil dari proses request API. Hasil penelitian ini adalah aplikasi pengambilan keputusan berbasis website yang dapat memberikan rekomendasi film bagi para penggunanya. Selain itu, aplikasi juga menyediakan fitur tambahan seperti laporan film dan pengolahan film yang membantu pengguna dalam mendapatkan informasi film yang sudah dicari.

AbstractOver a two-year period beginning in 2015, a panel of subject matter experts, the Space Platform Requirements Working Group (SPRWG), carried out an analysis and prioritization of different space-based observations supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s operational services in the areas of weather, oceans, and space weather. NOAA leadership used the SPRWG analysis of space-based observational priorities in different mission areas, among other inputs, to inform the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT)-based value model and the NOAA Satellite Observing Systems Architecture (NSOSA) study. The goal of the NSOSA study is to develop candidate satellite architectures for the era beginning in approximately 2030. The SPRWG analysis included a prioritized list of observational objectives together with the quantitative attributes of each objective at three levels of performance: a threshold level of minimal utility, an intermediate level that the community expects by 2030, and a maximum effective level, a level for which further improvements would not be cost effective. This process is believed to be unprecedented in the analysis of long-range plans for providing observations from space. This paper describes the process for developing the prioritized objectives and their attributes and how they were combined in the Environmental Data Record (EDR) Value Model (EVM). The EVM helped inform NOAA’s assessment of many potential architectures for its future observing system within the NSOSA study. However, neither the SPRWG nor its report represents official NOAA policy positions or decisions, and the responsibility for selecting and implementing the final architecture rests solely with NOAA senior leadership.

Distributors are intermediaries who distribute products from factories to retailers. While the distributor of goods is the distributor of goods from factories to shops that need these goods. Incorrect selection of distributors can interfere with the sales process at the store. To improve the quality and quality of a store, it requires the best distributor of goods. This study aims to determine the best distributor of goods. The method used is the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) of distributor data at the Padang Luar Sundanese Convenience Store. The data processed in this study consisted of a number of distributor data selected by the Multipurpose Store. From some of the distributor data, the Decision Support System is very necessary in the selection of distributors who aim for the selection of appropriate alternative decisions. The selection of distributors uses 15 samples of distributor data and 5 criteria data that are used as the basis for selecting distributors, namely quality of goods, affordable prices, strategic locations, service responses, and giving bonuses. The results of testing on this method obtained an accuracy rate of 86.67% of the right distributors and in accordance with the realization of the UI data. So this research is very suitable in choosing the best distributor. From the test results, it has got the 5 best distributors by assigning a weight of 11.50 to the best distributor, so the criteria set by the All-Round Shop can be used as a reference in the selection of distributors of goods.

Therefore, the government made a policy of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) with the aim of breaking the chain of the spread of Covid-19. One of the impacts felt by the community with its presence is the deactivation of employees carried out by several companies to workers on the grounds that they do not have the money to pay the workers. PT. XYZ has difficulty choosing which employees to deactivate. This research is based on these reasons, so the authors decided to use the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method to help make decisions to choose employees who deserve to be deactivated with job prospects, age, length of work per year, education, dependents with an alternative number of 10 (Ten) ) employees. The use of the MAUT method is expected to determine the criteria for employees who deserve to be deactivated, because the MAUT method will perform a ranking process based on attributes with different weights so that the results are more optimal, then a ranking process will be carried out which will determine the optimal alternative as well. Flood disaster is a dangerous disaster, an event that occurs due to overflow of water resulting in submerged land is called a flood disaster. Almost every year Bantul Regency is affected by floods due to high rainfall. The flood disaster that struck in Bantul Regency made the Bantul District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) difficult to handle so that it needed a mapping of the level of the impact of the flood disaster to minimize the occurrence of floods and provide information to the public.This study will create a system to map the level of impact of floods in Bantul Regency with a decision support method namely Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). The MAUT method stage in determining the level of impact of flood disasters through the process of normalization and matrix multiplication. The method helps in determining the areas affected by floods, by managing the Indonesian Disaster Information Data (DIBI). The data managed is data on criteria for the death toll, lost victims, damage to houses, damage to public facilities, and damage to roads. Each criteria data has a value that can be used to determine the level of impact of a flood disaster. The stages for determining the level of impact of a disaster require a weighting calculation process. The results of the weighting process display the scoring value which has a value of 1 = low, 2 = moderate, 3 = high. To assist in determining the affected areas using the matrix normalization and multiplication process the process is the application of the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method.This study resulted in a mapping of the level of impact displayed on google maps. The map view shows the affected area points and the level of impact of the flood disaster in Bantul Regency. The mapping produced from the DIBI data in 2017 produced the highest affected area in the Imogiri sub-district. The results of testing the data can be concluded that the results of this study have an accuracy rate of 95% when compared with the results of the mapping previously carried out by BPBD Bantul Regency. The difference in the level of accuracy is because the criteria data used are not the same as the criteria data used by BPBD in Bantul Regency so that the accuracy rate is 95%.

The Corona pandemic in Indonesia forced the learning system into a drastic change into online learning. Many campuses that were previously quite comfortable with face-to-face learning were forced to be helpless because they had never prepared a backup plan when something unexpected happened, one of which was when the campus was forced to not be able to face-to-face. If the learning system continues to be done online, it might cause the quality of learners to decrease dramatically compared to face-to-face learning. Moreover, the courses that must be filtered include theories and practice courses. Most assignments given to students are not seriously done because of a lack of significant evaluation and supervision. The Faculty of Computer Science, Santo Thomas Catholic University, Medan supports this government policy by implementing online learning using the Zoom application for face-to-face and Edmodo for supplementary lecture material for online learning media. In one semester apart from studying there is a test period which is the Midterm Examination (UTS) and Final Examination Semester (UAS) where the current leadership must wisely determine the type and nature of the exams to be conducted online. To find out the effectiveness of the form of exam questions in online implementation, a Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method was conducted, the test results found that online learning with Zoom and Edmodo was very effective for theoretical courses with a value of 0.88, then the results of this calculation it is recommended that online tests be conducted in the form of theories such as multiple-choice, essay and analysis

Dengan wilayah 20 Dusun Pemerintah Desa Candi kesulitan dalam menentukan rumah sehat tinggal dan rumah tidak sehat tinggal. Dari permasalahan di atas maka sistem pendukung keputusan menjadi suatu kebutuhan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan Pemerintah Desa Candirejo. Sistem pendukung keputusan dirancang dengan mengunakan metode <em>Multi Attribute Utility Theory </em>(MAUT). Untuk menentukan rumah tinggal sehat atau tidak sehat, terdapat 23 kriteria, dengan dua alternative. Dengan dibuatnya sistem pendukung keputusan menggunakan metode <em>MAUT </em> Pemerintah Desa Candirejo bisa dengan mudah menentukan rumah sehat tinggal dan rumah tidak sehat tinggal.</p>

The head of the study program is the spearhead of success in a study program. So a head of a study program is required to have good leadership and management skills in order to be able to carry out his duties and functions correctly. The problem that arises is that the appointment of a head of a study program is often carried out not looking at some aspects or criteria, usually the appointment is subjective and based on how long he has been a lecturer in the study program. Even though the appointment of a study program head must be seen from many aspects and criteria, this is done because if you appoint a study program head who is not competent, it can result in not running well with the study program he leads. The criteria used in this research are Functional Position, Education, Working Period, Research, PKM Activities, Supporting Activities and Lecturer Achievement. To overcome this problem, a decision support system with the MAUT method is the right solution to use. The advantage of the MAUT method is that the calculation and decision-making process is faster because it can directly calculate the final evaluation value without the need to compare the importance weight values between criteria. This method will process the criteria values of each candidate so that the results will be more objective. In this study, the number of alternatives used was 6 data on the value of the prospective head of the study program. Based on the MAUT process, a decision was obtained that the chosen head of the digital business study program was a Candidate-01 lecturer with a value of 1.0.

Cost and schedule management are important issues in an information technology outsourcing project. Generally, a client does not know much about market quotation and ability of vendors. Thus, an efficient approach should select a suitable vendor for the project with balanced cost and schedule. In this study, an improved standard English auction (ISEA) is designed, in which the multi-attribute situation is considered, and multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT) is introduced. A new auction protocol and a utility increment function are proposed, respectively. Finally, numerical examples are designed to demonstrate the auction process and its operation. Some insights are found: The ISEA is competent to describe the cost and schedule management process in an auction approach. The optimal incremental utility for client and vendor are found, and the proposed auction protocol is a mechanism for the client and vendor to obtain win–win results. The completely consistent results can be obtained from different size cases, which indicates that the validity of the designed auction mechanism and the effect of the utility increase function on the negotiation results.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi saat ini dari pariwisata di Kawasan Borobudur dan kawasan Dataran Tinggi Dieng, merumuskan prioritas strategi ecotourism yang sesuai dengan kondisi pariwisata untuk kedua kawasan pariwisata, dan merumuskan prioritas strategi ecotourism untuk klaster pariwisata Borobudur-Dieng. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa metode, yaitu External Factors Evaluation Matrix (EFEM), Internal Factors Evaluation Matrix (IFEM), Analisis SWOT, dan Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). Data-data primer yang digunakan dalam penelitiian diperoleh dengan cara penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara kepada sejumlah ahli, masyarakat lokal, dan wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Borobudur memiliki performansi yang baik dengan nilai EFEM 3,003 dan IFEM 2,75 sehingga usulan strategi berupa strategi SO. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi MAUT, strategi terbaik untuk kawawan Borobudur adalah melakukan promosi menggunakan media internet. Adapun Kawasan Dataran Tinggi Dieng memiliki nilai EFEM sebesar 2,89 dan IFEM 2,335 sehingga usulan strategi terbaik dari strategi WO. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil evaluasi MAUT, strategi terbaik untuk kawasan Dataran Tinggi Dieng adalah menjaga kebersihan lingkungan objek wisata. Primary data for this study were collected through questionnaire and interview with some experts, local communitites, and visitors. The results of data processing showed that the performance of Borobudur region was good enough with EFEM value 3.003 and IFEM value 2 75; thus we can propose the SO strategy for Borobudur region. MAUT evaluation for Borobudur region showed that the best strategy was to conduct promotion through internet. Meanwhile EFEM value and IFEM value of Dieng Highlands region were 2.89 and 2.335 respectively, thus the best proposed strategy was WO. MAUT evaluation for Dieng Highlands region showed that the best strategy was to maintain the cleanliness of tourism destinations. Thus, MAUT evaluation for cluster tourism of Borobudur-Dieng showed that the best strategy was the government should provide tour packages that include both regions simultaneously.

The MAUT model proposed shows for the first time a combination of operational, political and technological risks, resulting in a quite complete formulation to describe quantitatively the decision-making process. Salah satu masalah dengan metode yang digunakan adalah hasil penilaian beberapa karyawan yang tidak jauh berbeda dari beberapa kriteria penilaian. Sistem Pendukung Keputusan pengangkatan karyawan harian menjadi karyawan tetap merupakan suatu sistem yang mampu memberikan evaluasi kinerja pegawai yang akan dipromosikan. Proses pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dalam sistem pendukung keputusan dapat digunakan untuk perencanaan terpadu untuk mengecilkan tingkat resiko kesalahan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Multi-Attribute Utility Theory yang memecah suatu masalah ke dalam beberapa sub sistem dengan kriteria acuan perhitungan adalah usia, lama bekerja, pendidikan, absensi, sertifikat pelatihan, pengetahuan pekerjaan, dan kerjasama. One of the problems with the method used is that the assessment results of some employees are not much different from some of the assessment criteria. The Decision Support System for the appointment of daily employees to become permanent employees is a system that can provide an evaluation of the performance of employees who will be promoted. A faster decision-making process in a decision support system can be used for integrated planning to reduce the risk of errors in decision-making. Abstract:
Knowledge resource reuse is becoming a widespread approach in the ontology engineering field because it can speed up the ontology development process. In this context, the NeOn Methodology specifies some guidelines for reusing different types of knowledge resources (ontologies, nonontological resources, and ontology design patterns). These guidelines prescribe how to perform the different activities involved in any of the diverse types of reuse processes. One such activity is to select the best knowledge resources for reuse in an ontology development. This selection activity is a complex decision-making problem involving conflicting objectives, like understandability, integration or reliability. We propose a multi-attribute utility theory (MAUT) approach to deal with the selection of the best domain ontologies for reuse, stressing the identification of attributes to measure ontology performances. We take advantage of the sensitivity analysis tools provided by the GMAA system, a PC-based decision support system based on an additive multi-attribute utility model, to exploit imprecise information on the inputs. An example concerning the selection of a subset of ontologies for reuse in the development of a new ontology in the sports domain illustrates the approach.

Abstract:
The today's fast-paced, competitive environment in the field of Science and Technology, demands highly reliable hardware and software in order to achieve new breakthroughs in quality and productivity. In this scenario, first release of software products includes enough features and functionality to make it useful for the customers. Later, software companies have to come up with upgradation or add-ons in their software to survive in the market through a series of releases. Each succeeding upgradation offers some innovative performance or new functionality, distinguishing itself from the past releases. In one-dimensional Software Reliability Growth Models (SRGM) researcher used one factor such as Testing-Time, Testing-Effort or Coverage, etc. but within a two-dimensional SRGM environment, the process depends on two-types of reliability growth factors like Testing-time and Testing-effort. In addition, we also consider the combined effect of bugs encountered during testing of present release and user reported bugs from the operational phase. The model developed in the paper takes into consideration the testing and the operational phase where fault removal phenomenon follows, logistic and Weibull model, respectively. The paper also comprises of formulating an optimal release problem based on Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). Lastly, the model validation is done on real dataset of software already released in the market with successive generations.
