Abstract:
This study explores the impact of multimedia teaching on senior high school students' Chemistry Practical performance. With technology increasingly becoming part of the learning environment, multimedia presentations are now utilised in schools to enhance students' learning experiences. Interactive Multimedia Learning, which incorporates visual and audio aids, is a teaching strategy that facilitates faster and easier comprehension of lessons. To compare the efficacy of Multimedia Teaching Method (MTM) and Traditional Teaching Method (TTM), this study was conducted in two senior high schools in Ghana: West Africa Senior High School and Frafraha Community Senior High School. The research design was quantitative, specifically quasi-experimental design and data were collected from 110 SHS 2 students using MTM and TTM. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the collected data. The study findings revealed that most of the students taught using multimedia instruction performed significantly better in Chemistry Practical than those taught using the traditional method. These findings indicate that multimedia instruction can improve learning outcomes in chemistry. The study recommends using computers to supplement teacher instruction and not replace it. Teachers should continue to play a crucial role in the teaching process while integrating multimedia technology to enhance the learning experience.

The evaluation of physical education (PE) multimedia teaching refers to the prediction of physical education multimedia teaching quality in the absence of initial multimedia teaching information. Therefore, the evaluation method of PE multimedia teaching based on unsupervised feature learning has achieved good performance. But, its quality prediction accuracy decreases significantly with the reduction of the feature dimension. In order to overcome this defect, the author combines the active learning strategy with the unsupervised feature learning and proposes a kind of data assimilation framework to improve the discriminability of the representation of teaching features. The results show that the proposed method can enhance the accuracy of teaching quality prediction by 8%. Experiments show that, when feature dimension is relatively low, the proposed method can improve the teaching quality prediction accuracy by 8% compared with the method based on unsupervised feature learning. At the same time, the performance of the proposed method is superior to that of the other physical education multimedia teaching evaluation methods at present.

The research on students’ perceptions after implementing a teaching style is recommended due to its potential to inform reformed education. The present study surveyed 319 students and revealed their perceptions of multimedia usage in teaching and learning quantum physics. Among these students, 156 were surveyed after learning quantum physics with a multimedia-aided method, while 163 were surveyed after learning with a lecture method. The piloting of the test used generated Cronbach alpha of .841 of internal consistency, and it contained quantitative Likert scale items and supporting qualitative items. The data were analyzed descriptively and inductively. Students taught by multimedia perceived quantum physics as easy, while those taught by lecture perceived it as difficult due to its abstractness and mathematics needs. Students preferred computer simulations, animations, and YouTube videos as interactive methods that fit quantum physics lessons. Students testified that a quantum physics course that uses visualization methods in some of its teachings is more interesting than a course taught without them. However, students in both classes concurred that their class was student-centered and full of demonstration. Recommendations related to teaching practices and future research foci were made. With the development of electronic technology and the Internet, multimedia has become the main form of class. Under normal circumstances, a computer and a screen can meet the needs of teaching. However, in the case of a large number of students, that might not meet the needs. Therefore, the screen sharing between computer and mobile phone via wireless network is of great importance in multimedia teaching. Nevertheless, the existing routing equipment does not support the broadcast of large streaming video files, so we expect to use a method to reduce the transmission of traffic and make the screen sharing between computer and mobile phone possible.

Abstract:
The most common method to teach foreign languages is the use of course books. However, the 21st century serves other possibilities to use during learning, such as multimedia tools. The use of Internet, newspapers, the radio, or TV might be an alternative to typical language teaching methods. Multimedia can be defined as the exciting combination of computer hardware and software that allows you to integrate video, animation, audio, graphics, and test resources to develop effective presentations on an affordable desktop computer. The method of teaching a foreign language through Multimedia has been used wider and wider and it has contributed a lot to higher teaching quality. Chalk-and-Talk teaching method is not enough to teach a foreign language effectively. We should change our teaching ideas and recognize their impersonal attribute as one kind of teaching method. Thus we can utilize modern education technology reasonably to fulfill the target of language teaching. We live in times where multimedia tools accompany almost everyone in their daily activities, e.g. one can get ready to leave home with the rhythm of the music on the radio, while another person cannot imagine breakfast without reading a newspaper. This illustrates the media’s enormous impact on people. It seems to be more enjoyable when knowledge is gained through multimedia tools: entertainment, language authenticity, and encouragement to learn more are provided. Consequently, boredom, which sometimes accompanies working with a course book during lessons, might be avoided. Of course, everything depends on the teacher’s attitude and preparation. What is more convincing, is the fact that all the skills may be taught with the use of multimedia tools. Moreover, they may satisfy all types of learners, which is not always possible during teaching with a course book.
