Full textAngelina Muñiz-Huberman (1936) has developed her narrative work, poetic and essayistic for over four decades in Mexico. Introducer of the new historical novel in Mexican literature, her narratives are characterized for exposing the true human nature of the characters through introspection. Daughter of Republican exiles, her work reveals reconciliation with this event, adjudging its positive effects. The search for identity that emerges from a childhood contrasted between the old Spain and Mexico's present completes with Jewish exile from the maternal family. Consequently, the exile unfolds in all its forms through everyday stories of unusual characters and the introduction of the narrator's point of view. The need for expression experienced by the writer, belonging to the "Spanish-Mexican" group, raises a number of narrative and stylistic ruptures within her creative work. The rewriting of the childhood through the seudomemorias, the innovative use of typographical signs, the reconstruction of history and a strong trend toward feminine writing, are the subject of this study

We expect to analyze the first three narratives Muñiz's works, Morada interior (1972), Tierra adentro (1977) y La guerra del unicornio (1983), with the purpose to find the characteristics, thematic, stylistics and narratives distinctive of the new historical novel. Starting from the main studies done so far on this issue, each of these works can be classified into this category then is precisely Muñiz who introduces such a controversial way to rewrite history in the Mexican literature. In the second part, "childhood rewriting" a new narrative transgression is present in the writing of Muñiz. Castillos en la tierra (1995) y Molinos sin viento (2001) mark the beginning of a new way of writing the history of life. Framed in intimate writing and supremacy of "Me", both works aim to restore childhood through memory. Breaks in the structure of what should be two works classified as of autobiography or memories making them unclassified. Firstly because the protagonist uses the name of Alberina and not Angelina, although this name can be considered a pseudonym, this causes various disjunctions within literary criticism usually keeping the same name between author and protagonist. Secondly, a third-person narrator appears so far from the protagonist narrator in this type of writing. The third part called "transgressions stylistic and narrative" is an interpretation proposed the use of typography in the works of Muñiz. This aspect, often relegated to the background, it is of vital importance in the analysis and interpretation of the narrative. In Chapter 7, demonstrates how innovative and reactionary in the use of italics, parentheses, hyphens, quotation marks, the point, the dots and spaces. This initiative comes from the detailed examination of each of the stories and novels of this writer, since such an important resource in the form of statement can not be overlooked. The last chapter is an attempt to analyze, from the point of view of theories of women's writing, some narrative devices used by Muñiz. The detailed study of Morada interior y El diario de su vida shows some aspects called "feminine" within your theme. The structural similarity between Tierra adentro and bildungsroman highlight self-training both the protagonist and the author. Finally, despite the seudomemorias not be identified fully with the autobiography, a female autobiography analysis confirms the importance of intimate writing in externalization of most writers.
