Abstract:
ABSTRACT Setabuhan is a musical group consisting of three people who have different musical concepts from the others. The form of Setabuhan group music is rhythmic or percussion music in which two people are percussionists, and the other plays the exploration of vocal sound. The musical instruments used by Setabuhan are drums, percussion and vocal music using digital effects. The form of music used by this Setabuhan music group is not commonly used in structural forms of musical compositions because it does not use melodic musical instruments, and the vocal music does not have lyrics. The form of the Setabuhan group performance is a collaboration of rhythmic music with the arts of Pencak Silat, or martial arts. The rhythm and tempo of the beats tend to be loud with a fast rhythmic game. This group becomes very interesting and has particular characteristics because not many musical groups have the same concept as Setabuhan . The Setabuhan music group is not well known in Indonesia but has performed many performances in various other countries. The focus of the research on the Setabuhan music group is: 1) The form of Setabuhan music performances; and 2) The creativity of the Setabuhan music group. The research method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive exposure. The research subjects were musicians of the Setabuhan music group in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, documentation, and data analysis. The results show that the form and creativity of the Setabuhan music group lie in the rhythmic drum and percussion music playing, which is filled with exploration of vocal sounds with musical effects and collaboration with the art of Pencak Silat. The conclusion of this research is the form and creativity process of the Setabuhan music group, which is very interesting and has the characteristics of its work and form of performance.ABSTRAK Setabuhan merupakan kelompok musik yang terdiri dari tiga orang yang mempunyai konsep musik yang berbeda dari yang lain. Bentuk musik kelompok Setabuhan adalah musik ritmis atau disebut dengan musik perkusi. Dua orang sebagai pemain perkusi dan satu orang memainkan eksplorasi bunyi vokal. Alat musik yang digunakan Setabuhan menggunakan drum, perkusi dan satu musik vokal yang menggunakan efek digital. Bentuk musik yang digunakan kelompok musik Setabuhan ini tidak lazim digunakan pada bentuk struktural komposisi musik pada umunya karena tidak menggunakan alat musik musik melodis dan bentuk musik vokal nya juga tidak berlirik. Bentuk pertunjukan kelompok Setabuhan adalah kolaborasi musik ritmis dengan seni pencak silat atau bela diri. Irama dan tempo musik Setabuhan cenderung keras dengan permainan ritmis yang cepat. Kelompok ini menjadi sangat menarik dan mempunyai ciri khas karena belum banyak kelompok musik yang mempunyai konsep yang sama dengan Setabuhan. Kelompok musik Setabuhan memang belum begitu dikenal di Indonesia tetapi sudah banyak melakukan pertunjukan di berbagai negara lain. Fokus dari penelitian pada kelompok musik Setabuhan adalah: 1) Bentuk pertunjukan musik Setabuhan; dan 2) Kreativitas kelompok musik Setabuhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan paparan secara deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah musisi kelompok musik Setabuhan di Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bentuk dan kreativitas yang dilakukan kelompok musik Setabuhan terletak pada permainan musik ritmis drum dan perkusi yang di isi oleh eksplorasi bunyi vokal yang diberi efek musik dan berkolaborasi dengan seni pencak silat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bentuk dan proses kreativitas kelompok musik Setabuhan yang sangat menarik dan mempunyai ciri khas karya dan bentuk pertunjukannya.

Abstract:
Background: Brain growth requires genetic potential for a conducive environment, low stress levels, stimulation and nutrition. Brain development during the fetal period in the two years of life firstly requires proper stimulation to increase intelligence. Classical music stimulation has been proven to be able to optimally improve brain function and human intellect. Other music that Indonesian people like is pop and religion. Maybe it is possible to pop and religious music can affect the development and growth of the fetal brain. Objective: Analyze the differences of the index of apoptosis Cerebrum and Cerebellum Rattus norvegicus newborn between those stimulated by Mozart, pop, religious music and not stimulated by music during pregnancy. Method: This study was post test only control group design. groups were randomly divided according to the treatment as stimulation of Mozart, pop, religious music and no music was given from the 10th day-gestation with an intensity of 65 dB in a soundproof box for one hour. When 19th day-gestation, Rattus norvegicus mothers were sacrificed then 3 Rattus norvegicus newborn from each mothers were selected and brain was taken to be made immunohistochemical preparations and counted the number of neuron cells apoptosis index. data were analyzed by comparison test with p <0.05. Results: There was a significant difference in the cerebrum neuron apoptosis index newborn between groups p = 0.001 but there was no difference between without exposure and pop music groups p = 0.063 (the lowest mean was the mozart group 2.40 IRS) and there was also difference in the apoptosis index in the cerebellum p = 0,000 but there was no difference between pop music and without exposure group p = 0.151 (the lowest mean was the mozart group 2.34 IRS) Conclusion: Mozart gives a lower apoptotic index than pop music, religion and without exposure music group.

 Latar Belakang: Tumbuh kembang otak membutuhkan potensi genetik lingkungan yang kondusif, tingkat stres yang rendah, stimulasi dan nutrisi. Perkembangan otak selama periode janin dan dua tahun pertama kehidupan memerlukan stimulasi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan. Stimulasi musik klasik terbukti dapat meningkatkan fungsi otak dan intelektual manusia secara optimal. Musik lain yang suka didengarkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia adalah pop dan religi. Kemungkinan musik pop dan religi juga dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan dan pertumbuhan otak janin. Tujuan: Menganalisis perbedaan indeks apoptosis Cerebrum dan Cerebellum Rattus norvegicus baru lahir antara yang di stimulasi musik Mozart, pop, religi dan tidak di stimulasi musik selama kebuntingan. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah post test only control grup design. kelompok dibagi secara acak disesuaikan dengan perlakuan yaitu pemberian musik Mozart, pop, religi dan tidak diberikan musik sejak hari ke-10 kebuntingan dengan intensitas 65 dB dalam kotak kedap suara selama satu jam. Kehamilan hari ke 19 tikus bunting dikorbankan, anak tikus dipilih 3 ekor tiapinduk diambil otaknya, dibuat sediaan imunohistokimia dan dihitung jumlah sel neuron yang mengalami apoptosis. Hasil dianalisis uji perbandingan dengan komparasi p<0,05. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan bermakna indeks apoptosis cerebrum Rattus norvegicus baru lahir antar kelompok p=0,001 namun tidak ada perbedaan kelompok tanpa paparan dengan musik pop p=0,063 (mean terendah adalah kelompok mozart 2,40 IRS) dan terdapat perbedaan indeks apoptosis di cerebellum dengan nilai p=0,000 namun tidak ada perbedaan kelompok tanpa paparan dengan musik pop p=0,151 (mean terendah adalah kelompok mozart 2,34 IRS) Kesimpulan : Mozart memberikan hasil indeks apoptosis lebih rendah dari musik pop, religi dan tanpa pemberian musik.

 Tulisan ini menggambarkan kelangsungan hidup musik Orkestra Minang saat ini, khususnya Kelompok Musik Orkestra Taman Bunga di kota Padangpanjang, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Di tengah gempuran industri musik yang berorientasi pasar. Menggunakan premis Kontra Hegemoni Gramsci, bagaimana kelompok ini bertahan dengan ideologi musik mereka. Penelitian ini bertumpu pada pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Analisis dalam perspektif Antropologi Musik menjelaskan secara mendalam dan holistik kelangsungan hidup kelompok musik ini. Counter Hegemony sebagai alat analisis dalam melihat apa yang memotivasi kelompok ini untuk memilih genre musik orkestra Minang dan kelangsungan hidup kelompok ini dalam menghadapi industri musik saat ini. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa perjuangan ideologis antara ideologi kelompok ini dan ideologi pasar semakin kuat, menunjukkan adanya kekuatan hegemonik di pasar industri musik di Indonesia. Kegigihan dalam ideologi musik mereka mampu bertahan dengan tidak mengganggu atau mengubah bentuk musik mereka. Prinsip kekeluargaan adalah modal utama bagi kelangsungan hidup kelompok musik ini.

 ABSTRACT
 This paper describes the survival of the Minang Orchestra music today, specifically the Taman Bunga Orchestra Music Group in the city of Padangpanjang, West Sumatra Province. In the midst of the onslaught of market-oriented music industry. Using the premise of Gramsci's Counter Hegemony, how this group survives with their musical ideology. The research relies on a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis in the perspective of Music Anthropology explains deeply and holistically the survival of this musical group. Counter Hegemony as an analytical tool in seeing what motivates this group to choose the genre of Minang orchestra music and the survival of this group in facing the current music industry. The findings show that the ideological struggle between this group's ideology and the market ideology is getting stronger, indicating the presence of hegemonic power in the music industry market in Indonesia. Persistence in their musical ideology is able to survive by not disrupting or changing the shape of their music. The principle of kinship is the main capital for the survival of this musical group.

Abstract:
Background: Intelligence management can produce superior human resources with integrated brain. Mozart music stimulus during pregnancy has been shown to increase the number of neuron of the fetal brain. The study of pop and religious music needs to be improve because they are more popular in Indonesia. Objective: To analyze the differences of number of Neuron in the Cerebrum Rattus norvegicusoffspring that exposed to Mozart, Indonesian pop music and Indonesian religious music during pregnancy. Methods: An experimental study with a post-test only control group design. Groups divide into treatment music groups: Mozart, pop and religious. Treatment in a soundproof room for 1 hour, starting the 10th-day of pregnancy, intensity of 65 dB with a distance of 25 cm from the cage. The number of neuron was counted from HE brain preparations of the head Rattus norvegicusoffspring and analyzed using appropriate statistics test. Results: There were significant differences in the number of neuron of Rattus norvegicusoffspring in cerebrum between groups with p = 0,000 (mean Mozart music group 28.14 ± 3.02, Indonesian pop music 19.71 ± 1.80, Indonesian religious music 24.14 ± 2.91) and Mozart gave a higher number of neuron than Indonesia religious music and Indonesian pop music. Conclusion: Mozart music gave a higher number of neuron in the Cerebrum than Indonesian religious music and Indonesian pop music.

 Latar belakang: Pengelolaan kecerdasan otak yang terintegrasi akan menghasilkan SDM yang unggul. Stimulus musik Mozart selama kehamilan terbukti meningkatkan jumlah sel neuron di otak janin. Musik pop dan religi perlu dilakukan penelitian karena lebih populer di Indonesia. Tujuan: Menganalisis perbedaan jumlah sel neuron di Cerebrum Rattus norvegicusbaru lahir antara yang mendapat paparan musik Mozart, musik pop Indonesia dan musik religi Indonesia selama kebuntingan. Metode: Studi eksperimental dengan desain post test only control group. Kelompok perlakuan dibagi menjadi kelompok musik Mozart, musik pop Indonesia dan musik religi Indonesia. Perlakuan di ruang kedap suara selama 1 jam pada malam hari mulai hari ke-10 kebuntingan, intensitas 65 dB dengan jarak 25 cm antara kandang dan speaker. Jumlah sel neuron dihitung dari preparat pewarnaan Hematoxylin-Eosin otak anak Rattus norvegicusdan dianalisis dengan statistik yang sesuai. Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada jumlah sel neuron cerebrum Rattus norvegicus baru lahir antar kelompok dengan nilai p=0,000 (rerata kelompok musik Mozart 28,14±3,02, musik pop Indonesia 19,71±1,80 dan musik religi Indonesia 24,14±2,91) dan musik Mozart memiliki jumlah sel neuron lebih tinggi daripada musik religi Indonesia dan musik pop Indonesia. Kesimpulan: Kelompok musik Mozart memiliki jumlah sel neuron di cerebrum yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok musik Indonesia.

Abstract:
<strong>Abstract</strong> This experimental research aims to investigate the impact of music training on students&#39; cognitive abilities. The study involved two distinct groups: an experimental group and a control group. Both groups underwent pre and post-cognitive ability assessments. The experimental group received a three-month music training intervention between the pre and post-assessments, whereas the control group did not receive any music training. It was found that, even prior to the music training intervention; the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher cognitive abilities compared to the control group, with a statistical significance at the .05 level. Now, after music training was given to the experimental group, their cognitive abilities exhibited a remarkable increase, reaching statistical significance at the more stringent .01 level, when compared to the control group who had no music training. The study also revealed that when examining only the experimental group, a significant improvement in cognitive abilities was observed when comparing their performance before and after the music training. Conversely, no discernible enhancement in cognitive abilities was noted with the control group across the two assessments, as they did not partake in any music training between the pre and post-tests of cognitive abilities. These findings conclusively establish that music training has a demonstrable influence on enhancing students&#39; cognitive abilities.

Abstract:
Background: Music interventions are promising therapies for the management of symptoms in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Globally, music interventions can be classified as active or receptive depending on the participation of the subjects. Active and receptive music tasks engage different brain areas that might result in distinctive clinical effects. This study aims to compare the clinical effects of two types of music interventions and a control activity. Methods: Ninety AD patients from six nursing homes participated in the study. Nursing homes were randomly and blindly assigned to receive either active music intervention, receptive music intervention, or the usual care. Effects on cognition, behaviour, daily living activities, and motor function were assessed. Results: Active music intervention improved cognition, behaviour, and functional state in a higher extent than both receptive music intervention and usual care. The effect size of active music intervention for cognitive deficits and behavioural symptoms was large (η2 = 0.62 and 0.61, respectively), while for functional state, it was small-to-medium sized (η2 = 0.18). Receptive music intervention had a stabilizing effect on behavioural symptoms compared to control intervention (mean change from baseline ± standard deviation = −0.76 ± 3.66 and 3.35 ± 3.29, respectively). In the active music intervention, the percentage of patients who showed improvement in cognitive deficits (85.7), behavioural symptoms (92.9), and functional state (46.4) was higher than in both receptive listening (11.8, 42.9, and 14.3, respectively) and control group (6.3, 12.2, and 17.1, respectively). Conclusions: Active music intervention is useful to improve symptoms of AD and should be prescribed as a complement to the usual treatment.

Buss (dalam Baron &amp; Richardson, 2004) mengatakan bahwa perilaku agresi merupakan sebuah tindakan yang bertujuan untuk menyakiti orang lain. Perilaku agresi paling tinggi berada pada masa perkembangan remaja, khususnya pada usia 14 sampai dengan 18 tahun (Farrel et al., 2005; Karriker-Jaffe, Foshee, Ennett, &amp; Suchindran, 2009). Terapi musik merupakan proses penyembuhan yang menggunakan media musik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan fisik, emosional, kognitif, dan sosial pada individu di segala umur (AMTA, 2005). Terapi musik diprediksi dapat menurunkan perilaku agresi pada remaja, terbukti dari berbagai penelitian terdahulu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi musik terhadap penurunan perilaku agresi pada remaja di Jakarta. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menyertakan 30 siswa di SMA X, Jakarta dengan menggunakan teknik purposive-criterion sampling dan quota sampling. Partisipan dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu (a) kelompok terapi musik aktif, (b) kelompok terapi musik pasif, dan (c) kelompok kontrol. Desain penelitian adalah true experiment dengan three-group pretest-posttest, yang menganalisis data dengan Uji ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terapi musik dapat menurunkan perilaku agresi secara signifikan (p&lt;0.05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa baik terapi musik aktif maupun terapi musik pasif dapat diterapkan untuk menurunkan perilaku agresi pada remaja. The highest aggression behavior is occur when the adolescence developed itself time to time, especially at ages 14 to 18 years (Farrel et al., 2005; Karriker-Jaffe, Foshee, Ennett, &amp; Suchindram, 2009). Music therapy is a healing process that uses music media to meet physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs in individuals of all ages (AMTA, 2005). Music therapy is predicted can be reduce aggressive behavior in adolescence, as evidenced by various previous studies. The purpose of this research is to determine the result of the decreasing aggressive behavior toward the adolescence in Jakarta. In this study, researchers included 30 students at SMA X, Jakarta using purposive-ciretrion sampling and quota sampling techniques. Participants were divided into 3 groups, and the groups are; (a) active music therapy group, (b) passive music therapy group, and (c) control group. The design of this experiment is using a true experiment with three-group pretest-posttest, which analyzes data with ANOVA test. The results showed that music therapy can significantly reduce aggressive behavior (p &lt;0.05). This shows that both active music therapy and passive music therapy can be applied to reduce aggressive behavior in adolescence.

AbstrakMusik dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan kinerja otak kita karena musik memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar dalam intelektual seseorang. Kelebihan dari musik ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan daya ingat jangka pendek dalam aktivitas belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh musik Mozart terhadap Short-Term Memory. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini true experiment, yakni post-test only group design. Jumlah partisipan adalah 30 peserta yang dibagi menjadi 15 peserta pada masing-masing kelompok kontrol (tidak diberikan perlakuan) dan kelompok eksperimen (perlakuan berbentuk musik Mozart saat menghafal). Pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur oleh Lloyd Peterson dan Margaret Peterson yang dikonstruksi ulang oleh Triadib Dharmawan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Mann Whitney U Test, dan diketahui bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen, p = 0,464 (p&lt;0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa musik Mozart tidak memberikan pengaruh pada daya ingat jangka pendek.Kata-kata kunci: Memori Jangka Panjang, Musik Mozart, Mahasiswa AbstractMusic can help us in improving the performance of our brain because music has a considerable influence on a person’s intellectual. The number of participants was 30 participants who were divided into 15 participants in each control group (no treatment) and experimental group (treatment in the form of Mozart's music while memorizing). Data collection using measuring tools by Lloyd Peterson and Margaret Peterson which was reconstructed by Triadib Dharmawan. The data analysis technique used the Mann Whitney U Test, and it was known that there was no difference between the control group and the experimental group, p = 0.464 (p &lt;0.05). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Kreativitas yang dilakukan Kos Atos dalam mempertahankan musik Keroncong di Kota Malang dengan harapan bisa menjangkau semua kalangan agar musik keroncong bisa dikenal lebih luas. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dalam mengumpulkan data. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang kreativitas Kos Atos yaitu dengan diben­tuknya rumah produksi bernama creatorikos, 3 album terakhir yaitu Local Heroes, Langkah Baru, dan Live at Kopi Koopen Ijen. Selain itu, ada pula kreativitas lain yang ditunjukkan melalui single lagu, tour album, berkarya melalui platform digital, serta penyajian musik Kos Atos. Kos Atos stands for “Matos Home Art People Group”. In maintaining Keroncong music in Malang, this Kos Atos music group has created Keroncong music as a basic genre with the genre currently developing. The reason for the researchers conducting this research was to describe what creativity Kos Atos did in maintaining Keroncong music in Malang City. This study aims to describe the creativity carried out by Kos Atos in maintaining Keroncong music in Malang City with the hope that it can reach all groups so that Keron­cong music can be widely known. In this study using a qualitative descriptive approach by using observation techniques, interviews and documentation in collecting data. Analysis of research data using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and verification. This study's results explain Kos Atos's creativity, namely the formation of a production house called creatorikos, the last 3 albums are Local Heroes, New Steps, and Live at Kopi Koopen Ijen. Selanjutnya, kelompok ini disesuaikan dengan konsep habitus, disertai analisis berdasarkan teori nostalgia. Penulisan ini merupakan Penulisan kualitatif dengan metode observasi partisipasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Penulisan ini menghasilkan simpulan bahwa: 1) Alunan Nusantara menularkan selera musik Indonesia 1977—1980 lewat konten instagram yang menarik, 2) orang tua dari masing- masing aktor Alunan Nusantara berperan penting dalam membagikan nostalgia, 3) musik Indonesia 1977—1980, yaitu Gank Pegangsaan, merupakan puncak kreativitas musik Indonesia. Hal ini dapat diketahui lewat syair dan aransemen musiknya yang berbeda dari musik Indonesia pada umumnya saat itu serta banyak terpengaruh dari elemen musik rok progresif. Grup musik keroncong ini mampu menarik perhatian masyarakat yang memiliki selera musik beragam. Eksistensinya di kalangan masyarakat Desa Yosomulyo semakin diakui dengan dibuktikan oleh banyaknya tawaran pementasan mengisi acara-acara pemerintah desa dan masya­rakat umum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan eksistensi grup musik keroncong Gema Paramitra pada tahun 2015-2020 dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi eksistensi grup ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik. Periode yang diteliti dibagi menjadi tiga periode, yakni periode 2015-2016, periode 2017-2018, dan periode 2019-2020. Hasil penelitian me­nunjukkan bahwa selama tiga periode tersebut Gema Paramitra mengalami pasang surut dalam mewujudkan dan mempertahankan eksistensinya. Sementara faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi eksistensi tersebut terdiri dari faktor pembangun dan faktor penghambat. Pada faktor pembangun meliputi faktor internal berupa anggota seniman grup dan keunikan musik grup, serta faktor eksternal berupa dukungan dari pemerintah, komunitas keroncong, dan masyarakat desa. Semen­tara itu, faktor penghambat eksistensinya adalah pengaruh pandemi COVID-19. Kata kunci: musik keroncong; Gema Paramitra; Desa Yosomulyo The Existence of the Keroncong Music Group, Gema Paramitra, in Yosomulyo Village in 2015-2020 In Yosomulyo Village, there is a keroncong music group that is unique and very popular with the people because it is considered to bring a new and unique musical color. This music group is called Gema Paramitra. This keroncong music group is able to attract the attention of people who have diverse tastes in music. Its existence among the people of Yosomulyo Village is increasingly being recognized as evidenced by the many offers for performances to fill events for the village government and the general public. The purpose of this research is to describe the existence of the Keroncong music group Gema Paramitra in 2015-2020 and the factors that influence the existence of this group. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. The validity of the data was obtained through data source triangulation and technique triangulation. The period under study was divided into three periods, namely the 2015-2016 period, the 2017-2018 period, and the 2019-2020 period. The results of the study show that during these three periods Gema Paramitra experienced ups and downs in realizing and maintaining its existence. While the factors that influence the existence consist of building factors and inhibiting factors. Developmental factors include internal factors in the form of group artist members and the uniqueness of the group's music, as well as external factors in the form of support from the government, the keroncong community and village communities. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa motivasi sebagai seniman merupakan motivasi penentu keberadaan para pemain dalam bermain musik di kelompok angklung Kridotomo.This research aims to understand the buskers’s motivation playing music in the Yogyakarta Kridotomo angklung music group. The method which was used in this research is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews. Interviews are used to obtain informan’s views and answers about their musical motivation. This study found that motivation as an artist is a determining motivation for the existence of the players in playing music in the Kridotomo angklung group.

Musik relaksasi merupakan salah satu cara untuk menurunkan rasa sakit. Salah satu jenis musik khas Indonesia yang dapat memunculkan efek relaksasi adalah musik gamelan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek musik gamelan Jawa terhadap peningkatan toleransi rasa sakit pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimental dengan desain pre-post-test design. Peneliti menggunakan alat algometer untuk mengukur rasa sakit. Tiga puluh mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dalam studi ini dibagi secara acak ke dalam 2 grup, dengan 15 mahasiswa pada kelompok kontrol dan 15 mahasiswa pada kelompok eksperimen. Data dianalisis menggunakan tes Mann-Whitney U yang diolah menggunakan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik gamelan Jawa dapat meningkatkan toleransi rasa sakit pada mahasiswa dimana terdapat peningkatan pada hasil selisih posttest dengan pretest kelompok eksperimen sedangkan terdapat penurunan pada hasil selisih posttest dengan pretest pada kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menyarankan penggunaan musik gamelan Jawa untuk mengurangi rasa sakit pada individu. Relaxation music is a method for reducing pain. One type of unique Indonesian music that can induce a relaxation effect is gamelan music. This research aims to investigate the impact of Java gamelan music on enhancing pain tolerance in college students. The study adopts an experimental approach with a pre-post-test design. We used an algometer to measure pain. Thirty college students who participated in the study randomly assigned to two groups: 15 students in the control group and 15 students in the experimental group. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test with IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22 software. The results indicate that Java gamelan music can enhance pain tolerance in college students where there is some improvement between the posttest and pretest difference in the experiment group while there is some degradation between the posttest and pretest difference in the control group. These findings suggest the potential use of Java gamelan music for reducing individual pain.

Melalui metode analisis video tersebut dan mensintesiskan berbagai literatur melalui studi pustaka, penelitian ini menyoroti ritme, melodi, harmoni, dan penggunaan alat musik gendang beleq berdasarkan teori dari Djelantik. Estetika musik gendang beleq dipengaruhi oleh budaya dan tradisi masyarakat Sasak yang kaya akan warisan seni dan musik. Ritme kuat, melodi enerjik, dan harmoni khas menciptakan pengalaman musik yang unik dan menggugah perasaan pendengarnya. Penampilan pemain yang mengenakan kostum dengan motif Sasak yang khas serta pelaksanaan acara yang memperhatikan tata letak dan suasana juga merupakan bagian integral dari estetika musik gendang beleq yang disajikan oleh panji sukerare. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa estetika musik gending arje pada gendang beleq panji sukerare melibatkan elemen musikal dan visual yang saling melengkapi, memberikan pengalaman seni yang menyeluruh bagi penonton. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang kekayaan budaya dan nilai-nilai estetika yang terkandung dalam musik tradisional gendang beleq, khususnya dalam konteks gending Arje yang disajikan oleh kelompok Panji Sukerare. Kata Kunci: Estetika, Gending Arje, musik Gendang beleq The aesthetics of the Gendang Beleq music art of Gending Arje Panji Sukerare Abstract This research analyzes the aesthetics of gendang beleq music from the Sasak community in Lombok, Indonesia, with a focus on the performance of Gending Arje by the Panji Sukerare group, presented on the official Peresean Youtube channel. Through the method of video analysis and synthesis of various literature through literature review, this research highlights the rhythm, melody, harmony, and use of gendang beleq musical instruments based on Djelantik’s theory. The aesthetics of Beleq drum music are influenced by the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Sasak community in the arts and music. Strong rhythms, energetic melodies, and distinctive harmonies create a unique and emotionally evocative musical experience for the listeners. The performers wearing traditional Sasak costumes and the arrangement and atmosphere of the event are also integral parts of the aesthetics of gendang beleq music presented by the Panji Sukerare group. This research shows that the aesthetics of Gending Arje in gendang beleq music by the Panji Sukerare group involve complementary musical and visual elements, providing a comprehensive artistic experience for the audience. The findings of this research provide a deeper understanding of the cultural richness and aesthetic values inherent in traditional gendang beleq music, particularly in the context of the Gending Arje performed by the Panji Sukerare group. The writing of this research was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. Using data analysis in the form of interviews with sources. The resource persons in this study were Norman Duarte Tolle (35) as a djent music musician (C-four) in Malang, Aulia Rizky Fajar (24) as a djent music guitarist in Malang, Reynal Juliandi (27) as an observer and music guitarist djent music in Pasuruan, Fauzan Sanjaya (24) as a member of the loud music community (Undisputed), and Fajri Ramadahan (27) as a musician djent music (Ceara) in Jakarta. Observations are aimed at knowing the development of djent music in Malang based on a review of the C-four music group. The result of this research is that the existence of djent music can be seen through the music industry and internet media which play an important role in the development of djent music so that the genre is able to spread widely throughout the world, including in Indonesia and Malang especially. Approaching the mid‐19th century began the aesthetics of music, especially Western music aesthetics as an independent science apart from philosophy. In the development of musical aesthetics are always closely related between philosophy and the philosopher. Discussion on the aesthetics of music can not be separated from some of the theories that have been developed by philosophers. Eduard Hanslick is a figure in the history of musical aesthetics of music included in ʺGroup Autonomisʺ. This group believes that music is a world of sounds organized and stand alone without any. For him and the group, the music is not the language of emotions or feelings. He then gave a sharp criticism against some composers include Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner as a representative ʺGroup Heteronomisʺ who argue that music can be a means of expressing feelings, expressing ideas, or a certain atmosphere. According to the aesthetics of music is ʺabsoluteʺ (to the music itself). With absolutismenya, Hanslick criticized mercilessly composers heteronomis deems to have abused the music to be ʺprogramaʺ (music for something) ‐which he regarded as ʹcheap musicʹ. ABSTRACT:&#x0D; This study describes the practice of social life in the field of music in the city of Bontang, based on a sociological perspective using the generative formulation of the theory of Pierre Bourdieu (Habitus x Modal) + Ranah = Practice. This shows that the existence of the Bontang Reggae Community has produced several groups consisting of Reggae Grill, Slow Reggae, and Reggae Vibe groups as actors who practice in the realm of reggae music. This group was formed because of the different knowledge and understanding in the field of reggae music as a realm of space for social life, which then produced various habitus according to the realm of music in each group. Also, the existence of each group has been supported by the existence of a classification of capital which according to Bourdieu consists of four fundamental capitals including material capital, social capital, cultural capital, and symbolic capital. The three groups produce a practice resulting from dialectical relations through habitus-modal interactions in different and prominent domains of reggae music. The Reggae Grill group produces practices that come from symbolic capital, and circular habitus or the use of Cannabis, then the Slow Reggae group produces modern music practices that come from material capital and cultural capital, and the Reggae Vibe group produces solidarity practices that come from cultural capital and capital. symbolic, as well as group habitus.&#x0D; ABSTRAK:&#x0D; Penelitian ini menggambarkan praktik kehidupan sosial masyarakat pada bidang seni musik di kota Bontang, berdasarkan perspektif sosiologi dengan menggunakan rumusan generatif teori Pierre Bourdieu (Habitus x Modal) + Ranah = Praktik. Perpaduan antara musik elektronis dan musik populer menghasilkan aliran musik baru, yaitu Electronic Dance Music (EDM). EDM merupakan genre musik elektronis perkursif dengan menggunakan peralatan berteknologi tinggi. Salah satu tempat yang mulai mengeksperimen EDM adalah Korea Selatan, yaitu Kpop atau lebih dikenal sebagai Korean Pop. Kpop menggunakan perpaduan antara musik Korea dengan musik Barat, salah satu contoh yang menggunakan EDM adalah lagu ‘DNA’ karya grup BTS. Masyarakat sekarang suka mengkover lagu ke bentuk vokal ataupun instrument, salah satunya adalah piano kover. Permasalahan yang diteliti adalah mengetahui bentuk dan elemen musik EDM dalam bentuk piano kover. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan elemen musik lagu ‘DNA’ karya BTS dalam piano kover. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengambilan data berupa studi literatur, studi diskografi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk musik yang diterapkan dalam piano kover tetap sama, tetapi terdapat perbedaan dalam elemen musik, yaitu poliritmik, harmoni, dan warna nada.AbstractForms and Elements of Acoustic Music in Bangtansonyeondan (BTS)'s Piano Cover of 'DNA'. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection in literature studies, discography studies, and observations. AbstrakTindakan pemasangan infus dapat menimbulkan nyeri pada anak usia prasekolah. Salah satu cara untuk meminimalkannya adalah dengan terapi musik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi musik terhadap tingkat nyeri anak usia prasekolah yang menjalani penusukan intravena untuk pemasangan infus/ pemasangan infuse. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Nonequivalent control group, after only design ini dilakukan terhadap 64 anak prasekolah . Hasil penelitian, menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariat: pooled test, menunjukkan bahwa terapi musik bisa menurunkan tingkat nyeri anak usia prasekolah. Terapi musik diberikan lima menit sebelum pemasangan infus sampai lima menit sesudah pemasangan infus. Terdapat perbedaan tingkat nyeri yang signifikan antara anak usia prasekolah yang diberikan terapi musik dengan anak usia prasekolah yang tidak diberikan terapi musik saat dilakukan pemasangan infus (p= 0,00, α= 0,05). AbstractMusic is an effective distraction technique. It has the best influence in a short time. Music reduces the physiological pain, stress and anxiety by distracting someone’s attention from the pain. The objective of this research is to understand recognize the influence of music therapy concerning the level of pain to of pre-school children experiencing venipuncture for the application of infusion therapy, this quasi experiment with Nonequivalent control group, after only design was conducted toward 62 pre-school children that having infusion attachment procedure. The result, using univariate and, bivariate data analysis with pooled test, discovered that there was a significant effect of music therapy in decreasing the level of pain of of pre-school children experiencing venipuncture. Research was using quasi experiment with Nonequivalent control group, after only design. Music therapy was given at 5 minutes before the infusion attachment process was started until 5 minutes after the process was done. There was a significant difference of pain level between pre-school children that was having music therapy than they who was not having music therapy during the infusion attachment process (p= 0,00, α= 0,05).

SBMPTN is a joint selection to enter state universities. Intense competition between participants can trigger student anxiety. Excessive anxiety can affect the escape of the participants. The treatment given was in the form of instrumental music therapy. Music is therapeutic, which means it can heal. Instrumental music therapy can provide a sense of relaxation and comfort for listeners. It is known that the effect of giving instrumental music therapy on student’s anxiety in facing state university entrance exams. The research subjects were 110 students consisting of science and social studies majors. The research instrument used the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS-42). Hypothesis testing was analyzed using Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney. There are differences in anxiety between pretest and posttest on instrumental music therapy (p value = 0.000) and leaflets (p value = 0.000). There was a significant difference in the treatment of instrumental music therapy as evidenced by the difference in the mean anxiety between the intervention group and the control group, which obtained a Sig (p value) of 0.000 (p value &lt;0.05). Providing instrumental music therapy can have a significant effect on reducing student anxiety in facing state university entrance exams. SBMPTN merupakan seleksi bersama masuk perguruan tinggi negeri. Persaingan ketat antar peserta dapat memicu kecemasan siswa. Kecemasan berlebih dapat memengaruhi kelolosan para pesertanya. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa terapi musik instrumental. Musik bersifat terapeutik yang artinya bisa menyembuhkan. Terapi musik instrumental dapat memberikan rasa rileks dan nyaman bagi pendengarnya. Penelitian ini berjenis quasi experimental design dengan rancangan pretest and posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 110 siswa terdiri dari jurusan IPA dan IPS. Instrumen penelitian penggunakan Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS-42). Uji hipotesis dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon dan Mann Whitney. Terdapat perbedaan kecemasan antara pretest dan posttest pada terapi musik instrumental (p value = 0.000) dan leaflet (p value = 0.000). Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari perlakuan terapi musik instrumental dibuktikan dengan selisih mean kecemasan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol didapatkan Sig (p value) yakni 0.000 (p value&lt;0.05). Metode: Desain penelitian menggunakan Quasy – Experimental , desain rancangan Pre-Post Test With Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh lansia yang mengalami gangguan tidur sebanyak 40 lansia. Sampel penelitian adalah lansia yang mengalami kualitas tidur dengan jumlah 36 orang. Teknik sampling yang di gunakan adalah Simple Random Sampling.Ada tiga variable yaitu variable independen music gamelan dan music keroncong, variable dependen kualitas tidur pada lansia. Alat ukur yang digunakan variable independen menggunakan music yang disimpan dalam tape recorder, untuk variable dependen menggunakan kuesioner kualitas tidur (PSQI) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index.. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Uji McNemar. Hasil: setelah diberikan Musik gamelan dan Musik Keroncong terhadap kualitas tidur pada lansia Di Dusun Lengkong Kecamatan Mojoanyar Kabupaten Mojokerto. Dari hasil Uji McNemar pada Kelompok Musik gamelan didapatkan p value 0,00 &lt;0,05 dan pada Kelompok Musik Keroncong p value 0,01&lt;0,05. Kesimpulan: Terapi music gamelan efektif meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada lansia di Dusun Lengkong Kecamatan Mojoanyar, Kabupaten Mojokerto.

Perkembangan musik keroncong di desa Sukorejo, kecamatan Tegowanu, Kabupaten Grobogan mengalami pasang surut, karena struktur masyarakat pinggir Pantai Utara Jawa yang kebanyakan menyukai musik dangdut. Kehadiran grup musik Sukmo Budaya dengan warna musik keroncong ternyata mampu menarik antusiasme masyarakat Desa Sukorejo Kecamatan Tegowanu di daerah pinggir Pantai Utara Jawa. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan data pengamatan berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi dalam masyarakat Sukorejo kabupaten Grobogan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus agar dapat secara tepat menggambarkan, mengkaji, dan menganalisa eksistensi grup musik keroncong Sukmo Budaya. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dengan cara yaitu mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor pengelolaan grup, ciri khas, panggilan pentas, bentuk penyajian, tempat pentas atau panggung, tata suara, tehnik bernyanyi keroncong, penggunaan alat musik, jenis lagu keroncong dan antusias masyarakat yang mendukung eksistensi grup musik keroncong Sukmo. It is in accordance with the observations made by researchers on a phenomenon that exists in the society Sukorejo Grobogan. This research uses qualitative research methods with the case study approach because it aptly describes, examine, and analyze the existence of kroncong music group Sukmo Budaya. The collection of data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Technique of data analysis performed using analysis techniques, by reducting the data, presenting of the data, and draw conclusions or verification. The results showed the existence of factors that support the existence of the kroncong music group Sukmo consists of a management group, hallmark, calls the stage, form of presentation, stage, sound, makeup, singing keroncong techniques, the use of a musical instrument, a type of kroncong songs and enthusiastic communities against band kroncong. Besides research results that appear with the existence of a group of Sukmo Budaya is the psychological impact seen from villagers indicating feelings happy as a part of well-being through leissure time especially for the elderly.

Terapi musik adalah alah satu upaya yang dapat diberikan perawat untuk mengontrol nyeri selain terapi farmakologis yang diberikan oleh tim medis. Tujuan: menerapkan intervensi keperawatan nonfarmakologi dengan menggunakan terapi musik dalam mengurangi nyeri neuropati pada pasien DM. Metode: penelitian ini adalah penerapan Evidance Based Nursing (EBN) dengan melibatkan 10 orang responden yang dibagi menjadi kelompok intervensi terapi musik dan kelompok control, yang diperoleh dengan teknik accidental sampling. Intensitas nyeri diukur dengan menggunakan Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) yang dilakukan sebelum terapi musik diberikan, pada menit ke-30 dan menit ke-60. Hasil: responden yang mendapat terapi musik mengalami penurunan intensitas nyeri, dari nyeri sedang menjadi nyeri ringan, dan pada kelompok kontrol mengalami penurunan intensitas nyeri tapi masih dalam kategori nyeri sedang. Diskusi: Terapi musik merupakan intervensi keperawatan yang dapat menjadi pilihan terapi atau pengobatan terhadap nyeri neuropati pada penyandang diabetes sehingga menjadi pelengkap terhadap upaya medis yang sudah dilakukan.&#x0D; &#x0D; Kata kunci: Nyeri, Neuropati, Terapi Musik&#x0D; &#x0D; Abstract&#x0D; &#x0D; Neuropathic pain is one of the chronic complications of diabetes mellitus (DM) that causes physical, social and spiritual disorders. Music therapy is one of the efforts that nurses can provide to control pain in addition to the pharmacological therapy provided by the medical team. Objective: to apply nonfarmacological nursing intervention by using music therapy to reduce neuropathic pain in type 2 DM patients. Method: the study was an aplication of Evidance Based Nursing (EBN) with 10 respondents involved who were divided into music therapy intervention group and control group, which were obtained by accidental sampling technigue. Pain intensity was measured using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) which was performed before music therapy was given, in the 30th minute and 60th minute. Results: respondents who received music therapy experienced a decrease in pain intensity, from moderate to mild pain, and the control group experienced a decrease in pain intensity but still in the moderate pain category. Discussion: Music therapy is a nursing intervention that can be an option of therapy or treatment for neuropathic pain among person with diabetes, so that it becomes a complement to the medical efforts that have been made. &#x0D; &#x0D; Key words: Pain, Neuropathy, Music therapy

Nallar is a music group that has just developed in Indonesia which consists of three (3) personnel, bringing the genre of Pop, rhythm &amp; blues (R&amp;B). This research discusses how Nallar uses personal branding by utilizing the social media Instagram, as support for Nallar in his work in the music industry in order to introduce the Nallar music group to the general public. This research uses personal branding theory with several existing aspects proposed by Peter Montoya, as a basis for making this research. The research that the researchers studied also used descriptive qualitative research methods, and the results of the research were personal branding of the Nallar music group using eight (8) aspects of Peter Montoya in supporting its activities, namely specialization, leadership, personality, differences, visibility, unity, determination. , and a good name. The importance of this research is that it is used as a reference for musicians or outside musicians in carrying out their personal branding activities. Then the conclusion of this research is that Nallar carries out his personal branding activities by creating interesting content by utilizing the features found on Instagram by using several aspects mentioned above to attract audiences or Instagram users as well as to become an example of music groups in Indonesia in work, with the aim of the Nallar music group being better known for the work they create. Nallar merupakan grup musik yang baru berkembang di Indonesia terdiri dari tiga (3) personil, dengan membawa aliran Pop, rhythm &amp; blues (R&amp;B). Penelitian ini mengangkat tentang bagaimana Nallar menggunakan personal branding dengan memanfaatkan media sosial Instagram, sebagai penunjang Nallar dalam berkarya di industri musik guna memperkenalkan grup musik Nallar pada khalayak ramai. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dan memiliki hasil penelitian yaitu pada melakukan personal branding grup musik Nallar menggunakan delapan (8) aspek dari Peter Montoya dalam menunjang kegiatannya, yaitu spesialisasi, kepemimpinan, kepribadian, perbedaan, terlihat, kesatuan, keteguhan, dan nama baik. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapat bahwa Nallar melakukan kegiatan personal branding dengan membuat konten-konten menarik dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur yang terdapat pada Instagram dengan menggunakan beberapa aspek yang tersebut diatas untuk menarik audience atau pengguna Instagram juga untuk menjadi contoh grup musik di Indonesia dalam berkarya, dengan tujuan grup musik Nallar bisa lebih dikenal dengan karya yang dibuatnya.

Toba Nauli is a group with a typical traditional genre of the Batak tribe with a unique way of managing the group and performing differently from other groups in general. Player substitutions happen at every event. For 8 years, Toba Nauli Music Group has been in the business of providing music services, especially Batak music. So, the question in this phenomenon is what form of management and how can the management function be applied to Toba Nauli Music Group? This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the management forms and functions of the Toba Nauli musical group and some data obtained through documentary research, observation, interviews, and documents. Data analysis techniques are performed by collecting data, presenting data, reducing data and drawing conclusions, and then checking the validity of the data by Triangulation method.The research results show that Toba Nauli Music Group has a management form, namely (1) the legal basis including the form of organizational structure, management structure, management policy, and it turns out that they have not prepared Drafting the Group Charter (AD) and Internal Regulations (ART). Music Toba Nauli; (2) Management functions include planning, organizing, monitoring, and targeting. It can be concluded that Toba Nauli Music Group has a qualified performing arts and organization management system even though there is no written AD/ART and can perform all possible management functions. maintains existence to this day.

ABSTRACT Prolonged labor is one of the contributors to maternal mortality in the world, according to WHO, there are cases of prolonged labor in women in the world, namely 289 per 100,000 live births. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the incidence of prolonged labor is the highest in ASEAN, namely 359 per 100,000 live births, mothers die due to prolonged labor. Music therapy can be a solution to reduce worry/anxiety, music can reduce pain, stress, anxiety and lower blood pressure. Reducing anxiety in mothers giving birth can reduce the muscles in labor so that they don't tense up so that the first stage can be accelerated and the labor process can run smoothly. To determine the effect of classical music therapy on the length of labor in the active phase of the first stage.Quasy experiment with a posttest group design. who has a control group. The sample in this study was all mothers giving birth with normal deliveries at the Waode Buri Community Health Center, North Buton in April - June 2024, totaling 30 people, the sampling technique was total sampling. The frequency distribution of the duration of the first stage of the active phase in mothers giving birth in the intervention group was mostly fast (86.7%) and in the control group the majority was in the slow category (40.0%). There is an effect of classical music therapy on the length of labor in the active phase of the first stage (p. value 0.000). There is an influence of classical music therapy on the length of labor during the first active phase at the Waode Buri Buton North Community Health Center. It is hoped that midwives will improve their delivery services by using music therapy to speed up the first stage so that the birthing process runs smoothly. Sementara di Indonesia terjadi kejadian partus lama menduduki urutan tertinggi di ASEAN yaitu 359 per 100.000 kelahiran hidup ibu meninggal akibat partus lama. Terapi musik dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi kekhawatiran/kecemasan, musik bisa mengurangi rasa sakit, stres, kecemasan maupun menurunkan tekanan darah. Berkurangnya kecemasan pada ibu bersalin bisa mengurangi otot-otot persalinan agar tidak tegang sehingga dapat mempercepat kala satu dan proses persalinan berjalan dengan lancar. Mengetahui pengaruh terapi musik klasik terhadap lama persalinan kala I fase aktif. Quasy eksperiment dengan rancangan posttest group design. yang memiliki control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu bersalin dengan persalinan normal di Puskesmas Waode buri, Buton Utara pada bulan April - Juni 2024 sebanyak 30 orang, teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Background: Childbirth is a process that a woman must go through to become a mother. The birthing process often causes feelings of fear and anxiety about the pain that is felt, resulting in the mother not being calm about childbirth and hampering the birthing process itself. Many non-pharmacological treatments for anxiety and pain have been developed to create a pleasant birth experience, such as hypnotherapy, massage, hot and cold compresses, relaxation techniques.Purpose: To determine the effect of deep breathing exercise and relaxation music on reducing anxiety levels and intensity of delivery pain.Method: Quasi experiment with two group comparison pretest-posttest design approach with 30 respondents taken based on consecutive sampling technique and divided in 2 groups, 15 respondents for the deep breathing exercise group and 15 respondents for the relaxation music group. Research location at BPM Pelita Kasih in March-June 2023. Statistical tests use the Dependent sample T-Test. Data collection used the STAI instrument to assess anxiety levels and the VAS instrument to assess pain intensityResults: Research shows that there is an effect of deep breathing exercise and relaxation music on reducing the intensity of delivery pain with a p-value in the deep breathing exercise group = 0.03 and in the relaxation music group &lt;0.01. Meanwhile, analysis of anxiety levels showed that there was no effect of deep breathing exercise and relaxation music with a p-value = 0.475 for the deep breathing exercise group and 0.359 for the relaxation music group.Conclusion: Deep breathing exercise and relaxation music can reduce the intensity of delivery pain so that when applied to every pregnant woman, it is hoped that it can provide a pleasant labour experience.Keyword: Anxiety; Deep Breathing Exercise; Delivery Pain; Relaxation MusicPendahuluan: Melahirkan secara normal merupakan suatu proses yang harus dilalui oleh seorang wanita untuk menjadi seorang ibu. Penanganan cemas dan nyeri secara non farmakologi sudah banyak dikembangkan untuk mewujudkan pengalaman bersalin yang menyenangkan seperti hipnoterapi, massage, kompres panas dan dingin, teknik relaksasi.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh deep breathing exercise dan musik relaksasi terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan dan intensitas nyeri melahirkan secara normal.Metode: Quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan two group comparison pre-test dan post-test design dengan 30 responden yang diambil berdasarkan teknik consecutive sampling dan ke dalam 2 kelompok, 15 responden untuk kelompok deep breathing exercise dan 15 responden untuk kelompok musik relaksasi. Lokasi penelitian di BPM Pelita Kasih pada Maret-Juni 2023. Uji statistik menggunakan uji T-Test Dependen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument STAI untuk menilai tingkat kecemasan dan instrument VAS untuk menilai intensitas nyeri.Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh deep breathing exercise dan musik relaksasi terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri melahirkan secara normal dengan nilai p-value pada kelompok deep breathing exercise yaitu 0.03 dan pada kelompok musik relaksasi yaitu &lt;0.01. Sedangkan analisis terhadap tingkat kecemasan menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh deep breathing exercise dan musik relaksasi dengan nilai p-value yaitu 0.475 untuk kelompok deep breathing exercise dan 0.359 untuk kelompok musik relaksasi. Simpulan: Deep breathing exercise dan musik relaksasi dapat menurunkan intensitas nyeri melahirkan secara normal sehingga apabila diterapkan pada setiap ibu hamil diharapkan dapat memberikan pengalaman melahirkan secara normal yang menyenangkan.

Abstract The benefits of using music to engage persons living with dementia (PLWD) are widely reported in the literature Music can elicit memories and positive feelings as well as decrease anxiety and agitation in PLWD. Moreover, conducting music interventions in a group setting has been shown to increase social interaction, produce positive mood, and promote feelings of belonging. This paper discusses the adaptation and technological development of a group music intervention for persons living in the mild to moderate stages of dementia, Making Connections through Music (MCTM). Originally, MCTM was comprised of 6 individually themed sessions containing songs and corresponding discussion prompts; materials such as handheld instruments, photos, and props were used to elicit engagement and increase socialization among group members. Session leaders, older adult volunteers, were trained to provide the experience by offering the necessary structure and support PLWD need for successful participation. This paper will focus on the technological adaptation of the original MCTM intervention. Prototypes of a tablet application and online training course for volunteers were evaluated across seven focus groups with LTC staff (n=25) and older adult volunteers (n=25). Results from focus groups demonstrated 95% of volunteers and 100% of staff were satisfied with both the tablet app and training course. Acceptability and feasibility findings will be presented. Discussion also will highlight the implementation of this program within senior centers, adult day, and residential care as well as next steps in technological advancement of this intervention and associated training.

Recent empirical evidence suggests that attending individual instrumental training in music schools benefits the development of cognitive skills such as language and executive functions. In this article, we examine studies that have found these transfer effects provided by group-based music education in school and preschool contexts. We conclude that group-based music lessons may enhance children’s language skills and possibly executive functions, but evidence for the impact of music activities on intelligence—as measured by nonverbal intelligence tests—or long-term prosocial abilities is scarce. Although the beneficial effects of music on language skills and executive functions are small, they seem to be discernible. However, we do not know if they apply to all children or only to, for example, children who enjoy engaging in musical activities. We suggest that group-based music education should be part of the national school and preschool curricula, because of both the enjoyment of learning music-related skills and the impact it may have on children’s general learning. In parallel, we encourage new empirical longitudinal projects to be launched, enabling further investigations into the promises of music.
