Full textThis thesis presents a review of the current state of learning applications for higher aural education and potential optimization strategies. An analysis of how these applications are used is conducted from the point of view of students, teachers, and developers. The goal is to identify ways to optimize the development and use of these applications in educational programs. In particular, we study the interaction between aural education, learning technology, music cognition, and learning theories. The research aims to bridge the gap between the educational requirements of aural training and technological advancements by conducting a multi-perspective analysis. The historical evolution of aural skills education was studied, starting from tracing its roots in "solfège", passing by its connection to music notation and theory, and finishing with its current specialized form in France. Learning theories related to auditory skills development, music cognition, and e-learning were also reviewed. After a deep review of the literature in the field, we define possible guidelines for designing aural learning applications for aural education. In addition, the thesis proposes sample exercises that utilize these guidelines for supporting learning. We conducted an experimental approach to evaluate our ideas as a novel alternative to traditional teaching methods, providing new perspectives on how technology can improve the aural learning process. However, several factors must be considered to achieve such optimization: include learning theories based on neuroscience, consider the specific requirements of teachers and students, and implement a pedagogical approach that reflects the complexity of auditory processing. Finally, we want to emphasize that instructors, students, developers, and institutions must engage in robust dialogue to create a more inclusive educational environment using digital applications

Full textThis dissertation is the study of an experiment in a situation of collective electroacoustic composition from the point of view of the development of a community of practice. It was carried out in France, during the school year 2013/2014, in two classes of public elementary school Pasquier of the city of Antony located in Paris suburbs. We are therefore talking about a collective teaching of music to young children on school time realized in a co-teaching school between a teacher and a music teacher.Étienne Wenger's "theory of community of practice" will be used as a grid of reading and a prism through which we analyze the interactions of participants in an experiment of group music pedagogy conducted in school. We will study learning situations in this situation via inter-community and intra-community interactions, which are partly mediated by computer artifacts (audio files of musical selections, digital photos, publications and Internet availability, e-mail communication, etc.). As such, we have been interested in the use and the role played by information and communication technologies (ICT) in the exchanges of the community and in the theories of documentary sciences. Finally, we propose the construction of a pedagogical action model focusing on the interactions that we consider to be transposable to the university teaching of music composition in the Max and Pure Data environment in the Music Department of Paris 8 University

Full textThe study is based on an experiment wich closely linked the production of call material (teaching of english to french speaking learners, in secondary schools and at university level), wich were widely used, to research on what a cal situation is. Such research aimed at an analysis of more general didactic problems and was connected to various forms of training to the use of cal. The first chapters give an introductory background. An analysis of a cal situation is then presented. Being a linguist, the author insists on a linguistic analysis of the way a cal "dialogue" works (or does not work), stressing problems connected to the nature of the language used, the construction of messages, temporal and other linguistic references, the nature and status of the various "partners" involved. A didactic analysis also presents the main features of cal to be taken into account. The last part of the study analyses the approach and methodology that have been designed. The principles introduced, as well as the conclusions drawn are related to examples taken from the materials produced or their experiment with learners. A chapter is devoted to the way sophisticated cal systems can be fully exploited. Another stresses basic rules to be followed in order to design technically appropriate answer analyses and comments. The various stages to be followed when writing cal courseware are then described. The choice of terms, of a script, of suitable activities and answer analyses and follow-ups is stressed
