Méloche, Eric. "Repertoires musicaux des Ahizi de Côte-d’Ivoire : étude systémique et comparative." Tours, 1994. http://www.theses.fr/1994TOUR2004.
Full textThe Ahizi group being made up of three linguistic sub-groups, this study aims at finding out wether their music falls in with this division or if it shows some kind of homogeneity. This work is divided into two parts: an ethnographic one and a musicological one. The thirst one deals with the Ahizi society, its musicians, its musical instruments and repertoires in use. In the second part a certain number of repertoires from each sub-group are transcribed and subjected to a musical analysis in order to describe their specificity and thus contribute en answer to the original question

Ngangué, Eyoum. "La musique dans le débat politique et identitaire en Côte d'Ivoire : le cas du zouglou." Paris, EHESS, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009EHES0394.
Full textMy work focuses on the conquest of political space by a part of Abidjan's youth through zouglou, music, dance and movement which originated in the stream of consecutive events occuring at the end of the long reign of Félix Houphouët-Boigny, a period characterized by an economic, political and identity crisis. Zouglou may appear as a quest for a refernce and a subversive reaction facing a political power which advocated an extraverted model of culture. The first part of the thesis traces political, economical, social and cultural circumstances that preceded (the creation of) zouglou and explains the reasons for nits occurence. It also contains a genesis of contemporary music of Côte d'Ivoire. The second chapter shows the aestethic, rhetorical, strategic and cultural equation which led zouglou to the status of the model of constitution of social imagery of Cöte d'Ivoire and raised it to paradigmatic interaction in a society in full mutation. The third part consists of the analysis of contents of songs and an interrogation about the future of this mode of communication which has deeply transformed political and social relations in Cöte d'Ivoire
Koffi, Gbaklia Elvis. "L'éducation musicale dans l'enseignement général en Cote d'Ivoire : pratiques et démocratisation." Paris 4, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2003PA040277.
Full textContrary to the social context where it is constantly present, music at school touches only a few children. This absence of music teaching democratization at school is due to a lack of musical practice in elementary teaching, linked to inadequate teachers training in music and shortage of teachers in secondary school. The investigations developed throughout this work first reveal, that the politics of ministerial education management determine the changes in music teaching democratization; acces to this field and curriculum appropriate to social musical reality rely on the political. Then we will demonstrate that teachers practices depend on their musical culture and their relation to musical knowledge. Continuing education for teachers could be a factor in democratizing musical education in Côte d'Ivoire
Ouattara, Basile. "Contribution du langage dramatique kpainê à l'éducation sociale en pays Toura (Côte d'Ivoire)." Doctoral thesis, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, 2015. http://hdl.handle.net/2013/ULB-DIPOT:oai:dipot.ulb.ac.be:2013/222054.
Full textThis thesis examined the contribution of the kpainê dramatic language as applied in education of the Toura society. What is the content of this language and how can its educational effectiveness be accounted? In search for a response to this main research question, this study focused on a corpus of 6377 phrases selected in oral context and combined different complementary approaches. In effect, the context of this study is introduced by the use of a pragmatic approach. The second section sought to understand the logic that governs the construction of phrases and texts based on a structuralist approach. The section that proceeds verified the persuasive aptitude of the later approach by means of an augmentative method. The last section of the study closed by an interpretative semiotics. The analysis of the corpus showed that kpainê has a strategic ideological position in the Toura education system due to its dramatic possibilities.

Full textSpoken and written french in Ivory Coast have given place to lexical and morphosyntactic analyses, but rarely discoursive. The aim of this research is the description of the means used by ivoirien speakers and writers to build an argumentation. This analysis examines their utilisation of the enunciative indicators and polyphonic processes, the organisation and the structure of their speech and text, and the types of arguments they use to reinforce their argumentation. Our study allowed us to point out the techniques they use and the construction of their discourse. More over, it permitted to underline the values that found this praxis
Bana, Jeanne. "Rituel du Séké chez les Akan lagunaires en Côte d’Ivoire : approche dramaturgique de l’exemple Krobou." Paris, EHESS, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012EHES0552.
Full textThe study aims to offer a new perspective by deconstructing conventional analysises, which most often remain confined to conceptions of imaginary folklore. Through a dramaturgical analysis of séké tchédi, the ritual is resituated in its ethnological framework as a cultural, religious, and politcal phenomenon, and as playful, tension-relieving space. Multiple questions have enabled reflection on this dramaturgical approach: how does the séké tchédi reveal itself as a dramatic creation? What is the role of play and of lived experience? What creative representations may we establish between the dramatic arts and séké tchédi? In responding to these questions, we aim to shed light on relations between theater and ritual and their modes of theatrical transposition. Thus, dramaturgical analysis of séké tchédi acts as a springboard for grasping for grasping the ritual's nature as simultaneously sacred and profane, in which the unexpected exists complimentaryly with a certain mise-en-abîme. --In examining the different elements and theatrical techniques of séké tchédi, this study adheres to a plurality of approaches as well as to a relation on the social and dramaturgical aspects of séké tchédi. Through this research we attempt to show that the ritual is conceived and represented by the community and for the ccommunity. Aesthetically, it reveals itself as a collective creation, a drama through which life and death collide, a game both visible and invisible through which social rebalancing and confrontation of powers take place, a momentary restoration of links between human beings and the invisible
Dagnac, Anne. "Français d'Afrique, norme, variation : le cas de la presse écrite en Côte d'Ivoire et au Mali." Toulouse 2, 1996. http://www.theses.fr/1996TOU20064.
Full textIn two countries with contrasting sociolinguistic profiles among african french-speaking area, we study some lexical and syntactical particularities from a corpus of written press. To measure them, the central standard we have chosen lies not in academic norms, but in actual usage in similar context, which may lead us to re-asset the existing descriptions of "central french" as well as the extent and nature of the particularities of the african variety. The lexical study, centered on dynamic neologism, together with the extension of derivational rules, a certain instability in rection and in the perception of the norms, shows that language levels are being partially reorganized, especially in ivory coast. Four syntaxic points are then detailled : coordination, indirect speech, ellipsis (especially of verb arguments, anaphorical items and "en" in quantitative structures), and coreference of the empty form pro in non-argumental infinitive groups. The particularities, quite patent compared to academic norms, prove more subtle compared to actual usage. They often just extend inner possibilities already partly resorted to by central french. Most of them rely on changes in syntactico-semantical constraints, especially as regards anaphora, saillancy, coreference and thematic values. Other are linked with syntactical marks (eg in "additive coordination" and "enonciative subordination" in indirect speech). Generally remaining optional, they attest that an endogenous norm is setting up, in these two countires, but maybe even in the whole african area, whatever the substract

Analyse contrastive de ses variations et de sa circulation chez trois locuteurs politiques (Gbagbo, Bédié, Ouattara)." Thesis, Paris Est, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PEST0015.
Full textThis thesis is an experimental lexicometric analysis of the concept of national identity in political discourse. We mean by identity discourse, the discourses of otherness that encourages openness to a community or a withdrawal into a group, presented or perceived as a strong fortress in which subjects feel protected. Within these communities formed or desired, the expression of identity can be based on religious elements, tribal, ethnic, clanic, or racial orders. It can also be embeded in a common history, a fantasy or legend. Sometimes it is the reason and the opportunity to externalize certain fears of the alien, or simply hatred manifested in the form of discrimination, rights denial, exclusion and xenophobia, but it can also be expressed as opposed to exclusion, promoting the integration or living together. These types of discourse on identity are determined and structured by their framework of emergence. This framework dictates the contents which vary under the influence of several factors which in turn are organized on several levels of influences.Empirical evidence leads us to distinguish a first level where sociocultural and historical markers act, a second level where the contingency factors are involved, a third level which surrounds the immediate deployment of the speech, and a final level of operation where the personality and discursive strategy factors act. It is the combination of these levels that acts as factors structuring and determining the content and variability of identity discourses we highlighted in this thesis. It is for us to share the observation that the discourses of national identity constantly varies, adapting themselves to changes that occur in their context of emergence. To verify these empirical observations, we were led to formulate the hypothesis that the identity discourses are geometrically variables speeches, that are influenced by factors determining their structures and contents. This hypothesis was tested on an experimental corpus, which served as pretence to check the action of a few of these factors on political discourse. Support for this experiment was the speech of three Ivorian political players (Bedie, Gbagbo, Ouattara), in which we showed that the variations of their reference to national identity were related to the action of three situational variables, namely : the political status, alliances and war.The study conducted by means of lexicometry, has led to the conclusion that the identity discourse on "Ivorianness" called "Ivoirité" in Ivory Coast is a polymorphic speech, changing under the influence of situational variables, while sometimes having a strategic dimension. This speech is modular ; used as a formula, a kind of floating signifier in which ones put everything and anything as long as it relates to identity. The use of such speech could have unpredictable drift.Ultimately, we can easily say that this work on the discourse of Ivorianness in Ivory Coast is a task of deconstruction and denonciation of a formula which study opens up interesting perspectives, concerning in one hand the use of lexicometrics instruments, used to examine mental representations of concepts, and on the other hand as a technique for studying the evolution of mental conceptual universe
Anoha, Clokou. "L'influence du Rythme africain sur le christianisme : le cas de l'Eglise catholique de Côte d'Ivoire." Paris 4, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2004PA040122.
Full textIn Côte d'Ivoire, the Christian workship is celebrated through music: singign, dancing, clapping of hands, choregraphy, yelling and symbolic items fom peoples' cultures. In this thesis, African cultural elements are referred to as African Rhythm and the African cultural contribution to Christianity as inculturation. This work deals with the problem resulting from the inculturation of African Rhythm and especially of its consequences over the pastoral dynamic of Christian churches in Côte d'Ivoire. These problems are due to an excessive inculturation which distorts both African spiritual reality and roman Christianity. As solution, this thesis suggests the thorough and continuous training of competent executives for the supervising of choristers and dancers, the correct and credible transcription of the musical works and some modes of introduction for the "attoungblan" talking drum into the Church on the basis of a new alphabetical language

Full textThe first chapter of this dissertation is a critical study of the different methods which are used in teaching german at the secondary schools in ivory coast since the introduction of german in this country till 1992. The author describes the features of each teaching method and gives reasons of the success or failures in ivorian context. In the second chapter the author tries to examine : 1) whether an "intercultural communication" in german is or could be possible in secondary schools in ivory coast; 2) whether the civilization which is proposed in the schoolbooks "yao lernt deutsch" and "ihr und wir" can bring ivorian learners to criticize given facts in the german and ivorian societies this dissertation shows some ways and means in this view. Moreover the author analyses the didactical relationships between some texts and some pictures in the books. Finally this dissertation draws up proposals which could bring more motivation and efficiency by learning teaching of german language in the secondary schools in ivory coast

Full textThis thesis focuses on the analysis of official and usual discourses in order to evaluate the efficiency of wording and concepts in the definition of the economic development policies implemented in Côte d'Ivoire, a country which was considered as a showcase of the implementation of these policies. The conceptual framework refers to the work of Pierre Bourdieu (1982, 1991), who emphasizes the power of discourse and associated vocabulary. Indeed, according to Bourdieu, there is a linguistic market on which is exchanged, an overbidding of words and concepts. In keeping with this vision, we believe that there is also such a market that is specific to development. This market is characterized by a balance of power between social actors for the control of a "symbolic power" which asserts itself in linguistic exchanges. Some of these actors named as "experts" thus create the words of development, while others, notably developing country governments (DCs) and their populations, receive, integrate or reinterpret them, sometimes giving another meaning. And as in any market, an equilibrium price allows regulating the exchanges. The amount of credits and financing granted by donors may be considered as such a price. In this context, the power of words and related concepts in the definition and implementation of economic development policies and their effectiveness in terms of poverty reduction can be questioned. It is answering to this question which constitutes the objective of the thesis. In order to answer this question we examined the discourse of the various stakeholders involved in the development of Côte d'Ivoire, by comparing the results of qualitative interviews from actors of the Ivorian social life to the official texts of the government and the Bretton Woods institutions IBW).The first part of the thesis examines the history of Côte d'Ivoire's economic development policies, showing how a discourse based on economic theories that underpins the practices of development allows the emergence of a symbolic power. Thus, is the so-called "Ivorian economic miracle", the failure of which led to structural adjustment policies and then to the objectives of poverty reduction. At each stage, the appearance of specific terms, concepts and expressions, have corroborated the sets of actors and underlying theories that are not always explicitly stated. The second part shows how, following the adjustment policies and the ensuing crisis, Côte d'Ivoire has tried to adapt its economic development policies to the new concepts and words such as " resilience "," equity "or" emergence ", with reference to the sustainable human development approach. It is perhaps an opportunity for her to regain, through new linguistic exchanges within the development market, the symbolic power she possessed before
Bohui, Djedje Hilaire. "Forme et fonction de l'expression du haut degré dans deux oeuvres d'Ahmadou Kourouma." Clermont-Ferrand 2, 1995. http://www.theses.fr/1995CLF20079.
Full textFar from the oecumenical celebration and the negritudian idealization of pre-colonial africa on the one hand, and the worship of formal franch language made from writers of his generation on the other hand, kourouma elaborates a new and deliberately inconoclastic and novelistic aesthetics in his novels. Half-way between oral tradition and classical novel writing, kouroumian aesthetics is embeded in an enunciative problematic. If the ultimate goal of this study is the expression of high degree, our approch is double-sided : showing the influence of oral tradition on the novelist's writing through his excessive use of hyperbole in the narration ; showing, by the description of linguistic expressiveness mechanism, in general, how the essential concern of the quest for a discursive credibility is solved. Among other subjects, we deal here with the frame of kouroumian aesthetics, that is, the problem of linguistic interferences and peculiarities, the problem of synonyms, polysemy and lexical creation. Un other words, without pretending to be exhaustive, this linguistic and semantic study intends to answer the questions of expressive and affective syntax, of grammar and, above all, of psychological and socio-cultural conditions of enunciation
