Abstract:
This article reviews the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and current therapy of four neurologic diseases currently believed to be autoimmune in etiology: myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and Reye’s syndrome. Nursing care of these patients is very challenging and crucial to the survival and prevention of further complications.
