Abstract:
The mycochemical analysis of Microporus xanthopus and Lenzite selegans was performed using both conventional and advanced techniques. Extracts of the fungal material were prepared using eight different solvents based on their polarity index. The mycochemical analysis was carried out using various reagents. The mycochemical analysis and FTIR spectroscopy revealed the presence of flavonoids, terpenes, phenolics, alkaloids, anthraquinones, and saponins, all of which have been reported in Microporus xanthopus and Lenzite selegans. Trace elements showed the highest concentration in Microporus xanth

Macrolepiota africana is a fungus used as food in Gabon for its culinary properties. However, its nutritional value, mycochemical contents, antioxidant properties and health potential still unknown. The present study investigated the phytochemicals and antioxidant properties of this mushroom species. This chemical screening was followed by a study of the antioxidant activity and a prediction of additional pharmacological activities of M. africana. Using standard methodology, the mycochemical analyses were carried out on aqueous, hydro-ethanolic and ethanolic fungi extracts. The antioxidant act

Antioxidants are the radical scavengers that inhibit peroxidation and other free-radical processes, which in return safeguard different organisms from various diseases attributed to radical reactions. Synthetic antioxidants inhibit free radicals, but they also have harmful side effects. However, mycochemicals of natural fungal origin are safe and best substitutes for harmful synthetic chemical antioxidants. The prime objectives of the study include appropriate qualitative and quantitative mycochemical screening, antioxidant potential, and chemical composition of Snef1216 (Penicillium chrysogen

The bioprospection of Heimioporus spp. has not been extensively explored because of its limited distribution and cultivation. This investigation aims to examine the proximate, mycochemicals, and antibacterial properties of aqueous Heimioporus spp. extracts. The dried mushroom was analyzed for nutritional content quantitatively, and mycochemicals were identified quantitatively. Antimicrobial activities were studied using disc diffusion assays and minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations. Mushroom extracts were produced by maceration at 25°C ± 2°C for 48 h and boiled at 100°C for 30 mi

Secondary metabolites of microbial origin, either as pure compounds or crude extracts, provide opportunities for new drug development because of their chemical diversity. The aim of the present study is to isolate Molecular characterization and extract the bioactive compounds from the fungus of A. quadrilineatus (OL979151) in the rhizospheric soil of sunflower and mustard crop fields in Davanagere region. Dilution plate technique was used to isolate the rhizosphere fungi. The total genomic DNA was extracted from isolate of Aspergillus quadrilineatus based on Cetrimide Tetradecyl Trimethyl Ammo

Herein we report the first mycochemical and cytotoxic activity investigation of Sarcosphaera crassa (Santi) Pouzar, an edible mushroom when baked. The dried mushroom material was divided into two parts, and one was baked. The baked and unbaked extracts were subjected column chromatography. As results, one known phthalate and four sugar moieties were obtained. Their structures were elucidated by GC/MS, FT-IR, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
