Abstract:
Mycotic aneurysms, one of the most important complications of bacteremic Salmonella infection, are endovascular infections with a frequency of 25-35% in patients older than 50 years. Bacterial agents such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Treponema pallidum, Salmonella species, Staphylococcus species, and Streptococcus pneumonia can be counted among the infectious causes. We report a 74-year-old immunocompetent male patient who had a mycotic aneurysm of the iliac artery due to Salmonella typhi. Mycotic aneurysm caused by S. typhi is rare in the literature; it should be kept in mind that S. typhi

Mycotic infections of the feet are common fungal infections in our time. According to some reports, about 10% of the world's population suffer from these infections. Men suffer from foot mycosis more often than others. Foot mycosis can manifest itself in three clinical forms: interdigital, plantar and vesiculopapular. Foot mycosis is often combined with onychomycosis or becomes a risk factor for its development. Many diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, vascular diseases, obesity are risk factors for foot mycosis. Aspergillosis is an infection caused by Aspergillus, a common mold found indoors and outdoors. However, individuals with weakened immune systems or lung diseases have a higher risk of health problems due to Aspergillus. While primarily a respiratory infection, the species of Aspergillus can affect different tissues. In birds, it commonly causes pulmonary infections, while in cattle it can result in mycotic abortion. Horses may develop guttural pouch mycosis, while dogs may experience infections in the nasal and paranasal tissues, intervertebral sites, and kidneys. Domestic cats are susceptible

Mycotic keratitis is a fungal infection of the cornea that leads to severe, painful ulceration and loss of vision, and is a major cause of blindness worldwide, particularly in the developing world. Major risk factors for mycotic keratitis include ocular trauma and contact lens use. Both yeasts and moulds can cause mycotic keratitis, with the filamentous moulds of the Fusarium and Aspergillus genera the most common aetiological agents worldwide. Fungi, particularly Candida spp. yeasts, can also cause endophthalmitis—a painful, blinding infection of the posterior eye. Treatment of these infectio
