La synthèse des N-sulfonyl, des N-sulfinyl et des N-sulfénylimines a été réalisée. Ces imines N-sulfurées ont été testées dans la réaction de Staudinger sur des cétènes [alpha]-oxygénés. The beta+-decay half-lives of the neutron-deficient, odd-odd, N = Z nuclei, 74Rb, 78Y, 82NB and 86Tc were measured following the fragmentation of a primary 92Mo beam at an energy of 60 MeV per nucleon at the GANIL laboratory, France. They were measured by correlating beta+-decays with the implantation of unambiguously identified fragments. The deduced log10 ft1/2-values are consistent with 0+→ 0+, Fermi superallowed transitions, which together with the measured beta+-detection efficiencies suggest T = 1, 1pi- 0+ ground states for these odd-odd, N = Z nuclei. Recently developed Ir-MaxPHOX are used as catalysts for this enantioselective transformation. The hydrogenation reaction has been studied in detail in order to find the optimal conditions. A new method for threo-selective synthesis of β-amino alcohols is described. This method employs N-diphenylmethylene-protected α-amino esters as starting materials. The α-amino ester is reduced to the oxidation state of an aldehyde with DIBAL or DIBAL:TRIBAL (1:1) followed by sequential addition of various Grignards and alkenyllithiums. N-Thiolated β-lactams (1) represent a promising new group of compounds with potent inhibition effects on bacteria, like Bacillus anthracis and methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and onco-systems, like breast cancer and leukemia. One important goal of this thesis is the hydrogenation of the glycosyl cyanide, which has never been mentioned by any of the groups who have done work in this area, except for B. Coxon and G. Fletcher, who in 1964, reduced a tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-galactopyranosyl cyanide with lithium aluminum hydride. We were hoping to obtain, by reduction with hydrogen on Pd/C, an aminomethyl C-glycoside. It is believed that these aminomethyl C-glycosides are of potential biological importance especially in the area of AIDS and HIV therapy.
