Typical extension flow occurs in electrospinning process of Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) solutions such that researchers focus on extensional rheological behaviors of PVDF solutions. The extensional viscosity of PVDF solutions is measured to know the fluidic deformation in extension flows. The solutions are prepared by dissolving PVDF powder into N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent. A homemade extensional viscometric device is used to produce uniaxial extension flows and the feasibility of the viscometric device is verified by applying the glycerol as a test fluid. AbstractIt is well known that the set of isomorphism classes of extensions of groups with abelian kernel is characterized by the second cohomology group. In this paper we generalise this characterization of extensions to a natural class of extensions of monoids, the cosetal extensions. An extension "Equation missing" is cosetal if for all $$g,g' \in G$$ g , g ′ ∈ G in which $$e(g) = e(g')$$ e ( g ) = e ( g ′ ) , there exists a (not necessarily unique) $$n \in N$$ n ∈ N such that $$g = k(n)g'$$ g = k ( n ) g ′ . We provide new examples of étale extensions of Green functors by transferring classical examples of étale extensions to the equivariant setting. Our examples are Tambara functors, and we prove Green étaleness for them, which implies Tambara étaleness. We show that every C 2 C_2 -Galois extensions of fields gives rise to an étale extension of C 2 C_2 -Green functors. Here we associate the constant Tambara functor to the base field and the fix-Tambara functor to the extension. We also prove that all C n C_n -Kummer extensions give rise to étale extensions for arbitrary finite n n . Étale extensi

The paper is mainly concerned with Tθ∗-extensions of n-Lie algebras. The Tθ∗-extension Lθ(L∗) of an n-Lie algebra L by a cocycle θ is defined, and a class of cocycles is constructed by means of linear mappings from an n-Lie algebra on to its dual space. Finally all Tθ∗-extensions of (n+1)-dimensional n-Lie algebras are classified, and the explicit multiplications are given.

Abstract:
The rapid growth in population and related demand for travel during the past few decades has had a catalytic effect on traffic congestion, air quality, and safety in many urban areas. Transportation managers and planners have planned for new facilities to cater to the needs of users of alternative modes of transportation (e.g., public transportation, walking, and bicycling) over the next decade. However, there are no widely accepted methods, nor there is enough evidence to justify whether such plans are instrumental in improving mobility of the transportation system. Therefore, this project re

Often the addition of metric operators to qualitative temporal logics leads to an increase of the complexity of satisfiability by at least one exponential. In this paper, we exhibit a number of metric extensions of qualitative temporal logics of the real line that do not lead to an increase in computational complexity. The main result states that the language obtained by extending since/until logic of the real line with the operators 'sometime within n time units', n coded in binary, is PSpace-complete even without the finite variability assumption. Without qualitative temporal operators the c

With this script, the Meridional Overturning Circulation (MOC) can be computed from NEMO ocean-model output for the whole globe or the Atlantic (AMOC), Indic (IMOC) and Pacific (PMOC) subbasins. The MOC is computable in z- and sigma coordinates. Moreover, for nested configurations, it is possible to combine data from both host and nest grids. Finally, it is possible to take into account of that the ORCA model grid is curvilinear north of 20°N: it is possible to compute the northward velocity component from the velocity field in x- and y- directions and to sum up the meridional flux over latitu

Abstract:
In this study we have investigated the role of biogas solutions to support increased resource efficiency on the island Gotland, including recovery and redistribution of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) within the agricultural sector. First, we analyzed the potential for expanding energy and nutrient recovery from organic residues using biogas solutions. Our findings suggest that the biogas production could expand to 165 GWh, from the current 36 GWh (2020), with manure accounting for a potential 110 GWh biogas annually if all were digested. Corrosion metal-loss is one of the major damage mechanisms to transmission pipelines worldwide. Several methods have been developed for assessment of corrosion defects, such as ASME B31G, RSTRENG and LPC. These methods were derived based on experimental tests and theoretical/numerical studies of the failure behavior of corroded pipelines subjected only to internal pressure loading. In the vast majority of cases, internal pressure loading will be the main loading mechanism on the pipeline. However, there may be instances when pipelines could also be subjected to significant loading from the env

Purpose/Background Central venous catheters (CVC) are typical for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Due to the invasiveness of this procedure, there is a high risk for central line-associated bloodstream infection (CLABSI). These infections have been known to increase mortality and morbidity, medical costs, and reduce hospital reimbursements. Evidenced-based interventions were grouped to assemble a central line bundle to decrease the number of CLABSIs and improve patient outcomes. The combined research of the groups of Delmer, Levine and Johnson has led to a number of interesting findings with respect to the function of the small GTPase Rac in plants and also opened up new leads for future research. The results have shown: 1) The Rac13 protein undergoes geranylgeranlyation and is also translocated to the plasma membrane as found for Rac in mammals; 2) When cotton Rac13 is highly- expressed in yeast, it leads to an aberrant phenotype reminiscent of mutants impaired in actin function, supporting a role for Rac13 in cytoskeletal organization; 3) From our searches, there is
