Abstract The electrodissolution of cobalt in gas saturated 0.1 N H2SO4 was studied with a rotating disk electrode (RDE) and microband electrodes. No mass transport effect was found. The corrosion rates obtained by voltammetry were very close to those obtained with the Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM). Copper electrodissolution in gas saturated 0.1 N HCl was influence by mass transport. Different current densities were obtained for a RDE at different rotating speeds or for a microdisk electrode where spherical diffusion enhanced mass transport.

Abstract This paper investigates the influence chromium content exerts on the corrosion resistance of low alloyed chromium steels in hydrofluoric acid solution and compares it with the corrosion resistance in other acids, such as hydrochloric, perchloric and sulphuric. Abstract:
Abstract Schiff base (E)-3-chloro-N-((2-chloroquinolin-3-yl)methylene)aniline (CQA) was synthesized, and its inhibitive effect for mild steel in 1M HCl solution was investigated by weight loss measurement and electrochemical tests. From the weight loss measurements and electrochemical tests, it was observed that the inhibition efficiency increases with the increase in the Schiff base concentration and reaches a maximum at the optimum concentration. This is further confirmed by the decrease in corrosion rate. It is found that the system follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm.

โรคนิ่วปัสสาวะเป็นภาวะที่มีก้อนนิ่วในระบบทางเดินปัสสาวะ ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาสุขภาพมายาวนานมาก ทั่วโลก และยิ่งมากขึ้นในประเทศเขตร้อน รวมทั้งประเทศไทย นิ่วปัสสาวะส่วนใหญ่เกิดขึ้นในไต เรียกว่า นิ่วไต ซึ่งปัจจุบันถือว่านิ่วไตเป็นหนึ่งในปัจจัยเสี่ยงสำคัญของโรคไตวายเรื้อรัง โดยทั่วไปนิ่วมีหลายชนิดแต่ที่พบมาก ที่สุดคือ นิ่วแคลเซี่ยมออกซาเลต เกิดจากการอิ่มตัวยวดยิ่งของปัสสาวะแล้วทำให้ตกผลึกแคลเซี่ยมออกซาเลต ดังนั้น การวัดว่าปัสสาวะความสามารถในการตกผลึกแคลเซี่ยมออกซาเลตได้มากน้อยเพียงใด จะสามารถ ประเมินความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดนิ่วแคลเซี่ยมออกซาเลตในปัสสาวะได้ คณะวิจัยได้พัฒนาเทคนิคการตรวจวัด ดัชนีการตกผลึกแคลเซี่
