Abstract:
The diploma thesis provides a comprehensive historical analysis of the relation between the state and the Church and the legal norms that are relevant to this issue and tries to interpret individual key provisions. It reveals the intentions of the Republican legislators to cope with Maltese grievances and the Latifunds, the efforts to redistribute large territorial units to smaller farmers and thus to start economic production. The diploma thesis also focuses on the consequences of the first land reform, which in the end did not fully fulfill the original expectations. For this reason, the legislators proceeded to review it, which is also analyzed in the diploma thesis. It also addresses the controversial question of the nature of ecclesiastical property, which in the past was in another position than it would be after the process of straightening relations with churches and religious societies. The thesis seeks to answer the question whether the concept of restitution of ecclesiastical property respects the concept of land reform.

Abstract:
Apologia of religious reforms of Josephinism after the accession of Leopold II. This thesis is based upon an apologetical work "Kontrast zwischen den Grundsätzen des Prälatenstandes in Böhmen und jenen der auf Veranlassung Kaisers Leopold II. als Großherzog von Toskana im Jahre 1786 gehaltenen Diözesansynode zu Pistoja". This file was issued in 1791 and was addressed to the Bohemian clergymen as a reply to their demands that were presented by the clergy at the Bohemian Diet after Emperor Joseph II. had died. It resumes both the significance and circumstances of the mentioned clergymen's presention and its results. It also focuses on several controversial topics, such as conflicts of demands on chande of religious life held by representants of the Church against entlightened State representatives. Not only it tries to document the reforms that had been executed by Emperor Joseph II and his brother Leopold, it also considers the most important ideological movements that form that creation of the relationship between the State and the Church within the Early Modern Period.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is searching for possible influences of Akhenaten's religious reform on the person of early Moses. The first part is devoted to the analysis of Akhenaten's reform and events and religious currents that may have left marks on its character. I believe that for understanding of this reform, which is atypical from the perspective of Egyptian history, it is important to briefly mention preceding traditions and historical events that may have inspired Akhenaten. The second part deals with the analysis of Moses's story, especially where Moses is most confronted with Egyptian civilisation. The question of historicity of exodus is also discussed. On the basis of acquired findings, the third part summarises individual similarities and differences in the legacies of both men. Unequivocal conclusions could not be arrived at due to the nature of available resources. However, I believe that further and more detailed research in this area and closer examination of individual resources which were beyond the scope of this work could lead to other interesting findings.

Abstract:
The present M. A. theses COUNT FRANZ ANTON SPORCK - SUPPORTER OF JANSENISM THOUGHTS AND RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE deals with Baroque period, the so called "Bohemian Baroque" in the 17th - 18th century, and ends at the beginning of the Enlightenment. On the main representatives of the Czech lands was Count Franz Anton Sporck. The first chapter looks at the emergence of the movement of Jansenism, founded by Cornelius Otto Jansen, and mentions the root movement within the environment of the University of Leuven. Cornelius Otto Jansen influenced French Jansenism which had been led by Jean-Antoine Duvergier de Hauranne (First Abbe de Saint-Cyran) at the monastery of Port-Royal des Champs, and a major French personality of the movement. The other major figures were Martin de Barcos, Antoine Arnauld, Blaise Pascal and Pasquier Quesnel, who were influenced by the Jansenism environment in the Czech lands. At the same time, the first chapter focuses on the Jesuit Order, which acts as a counterpoint to the same idea of Catholic reform during the time of post Trident. In the second chapter, the personalities of Czech Jansenism - Valerian Magni and Jerome Hirnhaim are introduced. This chapter deals with the central figure of the thesis, Count Franz Anton Sporck, who became the most significant personality of the Czech Catolic...

Abstract:
Parish clergy and religious change in Prague's diocese from Council of Trent till the end of the 17th century The religious change that happens in Bohemia in the 17th century has no equivalent in the Europe at this time: the whole country, where Catholics were in a very minority, comes back to the roman Church. This evolution is here seen from a very prosaic point of view: how lay people live this change, and so how acts the parish clergy in this matter. Conversion's strategy, at the end of the Council of Trent, was to permit the use of the chalice to the laity. The consequence of this permission was a very hazy situation in the parishes, but Holy See did nothing before the battle of White Mountain, and after the battle, he suppressed chalice, mainly for pastoral reasons. During the Thirty years War, the kingdom is the place of a general reform, which has its origins in the catholic missionary movement of the beginning of the century and in the political theories of this time. Bohemia is strongly marked by the war that acts as a catalyst; at the same time political and religious authorities were lacking. The inhabitants, usually just formal Catholics at the beginning, convert themselves more and more deeply during the 17th century. The eldest, who remembered the non-Catholics services, died during the...

Abstract:
Music Culture of the Elisabethan Convent in Prague Jakub Michl Abstract The Sisters of Saint Elizabeth (Elizabethan Nuns) were a spiritual order primarily focused on administering healthcare. Therefore, music was never the main focus of the order's activities, as it often was in others, particularly educational orders. However, thanks to the uninterrupted historical continuity of the Prague convent, which was exempted from the restrictions of Joseph II's era, many sources illustrating the convent music culture were preserved, including an extensive collection of music. The dissertation aims to describe this music culture in the context of the order structure and its personal hierarchy, as part of the city of Prague and its civic institutions, and in its everyday life and characteristics such as enclosure, hospital service and recreational activities. Music in convents was always tightly bound to liturgy. In the case of the Elizabethan order, significant music production was focused on the order's main liturgical feasts such as S. Elizabeth, S. Francis of Assisi, Porciuncula, Christmas, Epiphany, Easter and also memorial services for deceased patrons of the convent. The convent cooperated with many lay musicians and composers such as F. X. Brixi, Z. V. Suchý, F. X. Labler, J. N. Bayer, among others. At the...
