Abstract:
Doctoral thesis Life cycle cost model of an apartment building includes the process of modeling, starting with the theoretical definition and ending up with testing it for practical usage, the error measurement and its recalling abilities. The aim is to construct a model for simulating the life cycle costs of an apartment building during the phase of purchasing it followed with the simulation of life cycle costs having the conditions defined in advance. The method of the model construction shall be found in stating an appropriate representative, setting the entrance parameters and defining the condition under which it is supposed to work. The last step is to test the created model in order to find possible mistakes. Mathematically-statistical methods shall be used for setting the model. Another researching method comprises of creating several exemplary studies which shall correct the costs model and expand its applicability.

The topic of the thesis is costs in truck transport. There is analyzed theme Progress of costs in time, using indexes. The theoretical part is focused on the methodology for calculating the cost index published by the Czech Association of Road Carriers Česmad Bohemia and compared with several foreign indexes. The practical part has two objectives. The first focuses on the design of a new methodology that will be more accurate and reflect the true situation. The second objective of this methodology is to design basic informatics support, for both users, indexes users and persons, who are responsible for publishing these statistics. The summary points to the possibilities of alteration of the current designed index methodology and the potential for cooperation of Česmad Bohemia and Czech Statistical Office.

V analýze jsou pro každé nemocniční oddělení uvedeny i poměrové ukazatele variability nákladů a přehled nejvýznamnějších fixních nákladů. Provedená analýza nákladů může sloužit pro návrh manažersko-ekonomických rozhodnutí v řízení těchto oddělení.

The thesis is focused on IS/ICT cost management. The purpose of this thesis is to create an IS/ICT cost model based on the principles of managerial method ABC (Activity Based Costing) for business informatics of selected company. The theoretical part is focused on costs in IS/ICT, their classification and management, with the analyze of the reasons for continuous growth of IS/ICT cost management. A significant part of this section is a characteristic of ABC method and a description of different phases in creation of ABC model. The practical part of the thesis presents a selected company, its business informatics and an organizational structure. Subsequently the current state of IS/ICT cost management is described and analyzed. Based on the analysis and with regard to objectives of the company in the future, a new IS/ICT cost allocation model is designed. For the purpose of calculating and determining of intradepartmental prices for ICT services, a process of allocating and calculating costs is simulated on the new designed model, with the use of current and historical data of the company. At the end of the practical part, the results achieved through the designed model and the results of the current method of allocation and calculation costs are compared.

This thesis is mainly focused on comparing the volume of shares ( share price ) according to the valuation of Decree No. 3/2008 Coll . with realistic pricing structures shares (focusing mainly on houses ), especially with regard to the influence of the floor structures and equipment , which is the number of floors does not change or changes only slightly (foundations, roofing, roofing , doors). Draft criteria which should be considered superior design and when they should be valued at cost using the design calculation as specified . The focus of the work is in Chapter 6 , where the budget is drawn up for each particular house floors. Number of floors is subsequently increased up to eight and is an analysis of the price curve of the shares of structures and equipment. Attached is a visual graphical representation . My work will serve to optimize the methodology for determining the volume fractions of structures and equipment construction cost valuation method .

This thesis presents a comparison of different methods of determining the default price for family house by using cost valuation method. Here are compared the default rates found in specific houses by itemized budget, calculating according to technical and economic indicator and obtained under the Ministry of Finance to implement certain provisions of Act No. 151/1997 Coll. Using charts and graphs shows the results for valuation individual houses and their variances. The aim is determine the price shares of construction and equipment of the itemized budget of houses created for this work and compare them to share price valuation in the annex to the Decree Ministry of Finance, perhaps to make an attention to differences or shortcomings in price share valuation announcement.

Abstract:
Diploma thesis is focused on Žižkov freight station and its transformation to cultural center. It introduces its characteristics, operation and construction. It further explores the process of becoming a cultural heritage site. It describes various obstacles including complicated relations and interests of owner of the site, developers, municipality, politicians and at last but not least non-profit organisations and citizens' initiatives. It is a study of an environment, which requires to be understood prior to any further project planning. The thesis also includes concrete vision of the cultural center, introduces involved subjects - future inhabitants of the freight station and depicts the property and financial situation of the complex. This part of the thesis also includes one concrete project, which is to be organized and run by the author herself. Further on the thesis includes examples of similar cultural centers, which are already in operation both in the Czech Republic and abroad, and which prove to have positive impact on the society, art community and economics of its surroundings. Future of Žižkov freight station is merely a fraction in the issue of conversion of industrial spaces in general. Nevertheless it remains an unique opportunity to build up an extraordinary project in one of the most impressive industrial environments of Prague.

The intention is to compare cataract surgery by phacoemulsification by ultrasonic method and by laser method and by using a cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the effective treatment from three perspectives - patient, medical equipment and insurance. The thesis, Survey of the methods of costing of hospitalization, deals with the characteristics of the classification system DRG used for costing of hospitalization. The first half of the theoretical part of this work describes the Czech health care in general and specific ways of financing it. We focus on the costs related to the emergency care in hospitals which are classified by the DRG system. The second half of the theoretical part studies the actual principles of costing of hospitalization. The method chosen for this is called Activity Based Costing (ABC). It defines the procedures of costing which are being used in hospitals. At the end, we provide a description of the current and suggested procedures of costing of hospitalization and how they are utilized to set up parameters of the reimbursing mechanism. The practical part of this thesis maps the situation of hospitalization financing in Klatovska nemocnice, a. s. We suggest a new way of financing based on the methodology DRG Restart. Base on the data obtained in Klatovska nemocnice, a. s. we summarize and compare the results of the new method to the current one.

Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to assess the influence of the exterior finish works on the total price of a house. The total price of the house consists of the interior price valuated by the cost method and the price of the exterior finishes which were valuated with the help of two methods: the cost method and the simplified method based on the Property Valuation Act. The valuation also covers several periods of time: a new building and 11-, 25-, 50-, 75- and 100-years-old buildings. The thesis focuses on the lifetime of individual parts of the exterior finishes—especially the time after which it is necessary to replace or reconstruct a part. A significant focus was placed on the percents listed in the Act and their correspondence to the actual state. The thesis also deals with the various methods of valuation and their appropriateness in each case. It also mentions the influence of other factors on the price of an estate (the use of different exterior finishes, or a selection of a building location) but these factors were not examined in detail.

This master‘s thesis aim is to provide a comparison of methods in garage appraisals within the territory of the city Brno. This comparison is being done on several immovables and using multiple apprising methods. The acquired data are further evaluated afterwards. First, the garage market in Brno is analyzed. This is done by comparing the supply with the demand incl. those characteristics that could influence the prices of the immovable properties. This analysis is based on real-world data of garage sales from an estate agency. For the appraisal itself, 10 immovables of the type “garage” were chosen. These are then appraised using the cost-based and comparative methods. The location distribution of these estates in the territory of the city Brno and within the city quarters has been chosen in such a manner to provide the most different ones. Then the acquired data are being compared and statistically evaluated. Such information can be used in the practice when appraising of such immovables on the market with garages within the territory of the city Brno is being done.

Práce si kladla za úkol popsat metodiky řízení nákladů a aspektů, které náklady ovlivňují. Základem k tomu byl konrétní projekt.

Applying pharmacoeconomic methods were compared two selected treatments of depressive disorder. Markov model was created to evaluate cost-effectiveness of the two strategies. Knowledge from the clinical practice and the clinical research findings of the author are linked with pharmacoeconomic techniques into a multidisciplinary complex. The proposed sequential therapy uses a prediction of antidepressant response by utilizing of recent quantitative electroencephalography methods. Sequential therapy is more cost-effective compared with the conventional therapeutic strategy according to clinical guidelines. The results and limitations of the study are discussed at the conclusion from clinical and economic perspective.

The thesis deals with a substance treatment of opiate addiction and determines drug abuse problems. The paper defines free and regulated market and describes drug prohibition compared with alcohol prohibition. The next part considers the theory of substitute and complement which is a basis for determination of a substance treatment. The goal of thesis is evaluating the effectiveness of substance treatment in the Czech Republic by force of cost-benefits analysis with current information. The empiric part is based upon the information about costs of substance treatment and about lost productivity. The effectiveness of substance treatment is confirmed, the amount gives after deductions for expenses an affirmative value. The next conclusion is positive appraisal of effectiveness of partial financing of Subutex, that is paid by consumer presently.

The first part of work deals with basic terms and theoretical definition of methods of valuation. Due to instructions of the work, the methods of valuation were chosen: cost method, comparison according to law and comparison based on databases. In the following parts are described chosen garages and there is undertaken evaluation. Differences of ways of valuation and their causes, which are based on obtained data, are discussed at the end of work.

The aim of the thesis is to determine why there are set wrong conditions of public expenditure programs to improve energy efficiency in the Czech Republic. The thesis analyzes conditions of funding and planning of specific projects funded by the Operational Environment program. The main criterion for evaluating projects is the consideration of energy efficiency. Methodologically, the research is based on an analysis of secondary data and the concept of cost-effectiveness. Based on the analysis, recommendations are made for changes in processes and parameterization of public expenditure programs in order to take account of higher energy efficiency criteria in the design and selection of supported projects, and thus be the energy efficiency target for 2020 by 20% could be achieved.

In my thesis, in the theoretical part I deal with atrial fibrillation. I also deal with management of atrial fibrillation treatment. In the paper I explain the basic principles of pharmaco-economic evaluation in the Czech Republic, on the basis of which laws these pharmacological interventions are evaluated and who are in the Czech Republic. In the work I present cost breakdown and what are the most commonly used pharmaco-economic analyzes. In the practical part I will apply the theoretical knowledge. I have developed cost utility analysis based on available clinical evidence - randomized clinical trials ARISTOTLE (Granger, 2011), RE-LY (Connolly, 2009), ROCKET AF (Patel, 2011). I made an indirect comparison of the total benefits of NOACs. In the baseline scenario, I have calculated QALY to evaluate the benefits of effectiveness, safety and reduction of mortality. This diploma thesis describes a proposal of a new conception of cost controlling reporting in Česká spořitelna for next period. This reporting concept consists of a description of the dimensional model (including a detailed description of dimensions and metrics reporting), the application architecture design and benefits of the new solution. The theoretic part focuses on specification of the basic reporting terms that are further developed in a practical part. Specifically, this section describes and categorizes reporting, including identification of the main groups of users (consumers) reports, identifies the main reporting components - requirements, tools and architecture. The practical part consists of three chapters supporting the achievement of the main targets. The first chapter defines the role of cost controlling, describes the current reporting conception through the model of application architecture. At the end, it summarizes the main limitations and shortcomings of the current reporting concept. The second chapter is fully devoted to the Erste reporting, and evaluates new demands and reporting requirements. The part of chapter is a catalogue of reports and reporting road map. It serves as a dashboard that can warn against potential operational risks. The last chapter meets the main goal and introduces a solution of reporting concept of cost controlling. The benefits of work can be especially found in practical application in Česká spořitelna. Currently, the first implementation phase of the Hyperion planning application has been realized. Moreover subject of my thesis can serve as a valuable source of information describing both current and final status of cost reporting.

Dissertation focuses on the verification of construction family houses made of concrete shell block with internal thermal insulation system. The construction technology is transferred to the Czech Republic from France. The work focuses on building envelope. The suitability of implementation is assessed on the basis of verification selected thermal technical requirements placed on building envelope. Requirements are specified by legislation in force in the ČR. The verification was performed by using software simulations and measurements on realized buildings. Critical areas of construction technology were identified on the basis software simulations and measurements on site. It was suggested solution, in which critical areas comply the thermal technical requirements. The building envelope was checked also using the thermography imaging on site. Continuous measurement of interior temperature was used to evaluate thermal comfort in the room. In the completed buildings was tested airtightness of the building envelope, which revealed other critical areas of the building envelope. Critical areas are necessary to solve with sufficient care. The economic cost of implementing each variants of exterior walls made of concrete shell block with internal thermal insulation were compared with the economic costs of implementing external walls made of burnt clay hollow blocks and made of burnt clay hollow blocks with external thermal insulation system ETICS. Subsequently, the economic return was calculated for individual variants of external walls made of concrete shell blocks with internal thermal insulation. From the environmental viewpoint was made comparison of production greenhouse gas CO2 and SO2 (cause acid rains) during the life cycle of the individual variations of exterior walls made of concrete shell blocks with system of internal thermal insulation, exterior walls made of burnt clay hollow blocks and burnt clay hollow blocks with external thermal insulation syst

In the first theoretical part the terms of controlling, the controller are defined and there are types of controlling according to the business activities defined there too. The chapter also includes selected tools and methods of controlling. In the practical part there is the Intertell spol. s r. o. company description given which is followed by a subsequent analysis carried out of the external and internal environment of the company. In the course of the text the production activities of the enterprise are being described. Subsequently, the author conducts the analysis of current controlling management of the enterprise and the findings are summarized in the conclusion chapter. In the proposal part, the author recommends improvements in management of the enterprise by the introduction of the internal accounting, proposes to monitor the profitability of individual projects and also recommends an increase in the number controllers in the enterprise.

This thesis focuses on assessing the differences in prices of garages in various areas of the town of Olomouc. To state the differences two methods were used: the cost-based appraising method and the comparative method. In addition, market price were stated and compared to the administrative one. There were fifteen garages selected for the purpose of this text. In the first part of this work basic concepts are defined. The following part is descriptive and brings the town of Olomouc into focus. Further on, particular ways of appraising are explained. Next, the selected garages are introduced and appraised. In conclusion, based on given facts, the factors influencing prices of garages are assessed as well as the causes of discrepancies between prices stated with the use of different methods.

The aneurysma of abdominal aorta is a pathological amplification of the diameter of this artery. It is a serious illness which affects 2 -- 6 % men and 1 -- 2 % women over 60. In the case of a rupture there is the mortality of 80 -- 90 %. If the aneurysma is diagnosed in time it is necessary to solve this state with an adequate treatment. The surgical treatment consists in substitution of the afflected part with a vessel replacement. Thanks to the development of medicinal technologies the aorta aneurysma is more and more often treated by the help of stentgrapth by which the afflicted part of the aorta is set aside from the circulation. The theoretical (the first) part of this work deals with the issues of the aneurysma of abdominal aorta, and it also describes the methods of its treatment. Then the work describes costs analyses used in the medical service. The practical part of the work is dedicated to the cost analysis of the treatment by means of a cost minimalization method. The work processes data of a group of patients being treated during a certain period of time in the Olomouc University Hospital in the Department of Vessel Surgery and in the Department of Interventional Radiology. The aim of this work is to evaluate and compare objectively the costs of abdominal aorta aneurysma treatment by individual methods, and to compare the results with foreign studies.

The growing demand for clean water has led to the adoption of the EU Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60 EC). New legislation has a major impact on the water management and the national economy and provides numerous requirements, including "good status" of all water bodies. The Framework Directive also implies the need for an economic analysis of the optimal process to achieve good status by using the cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA). The application of this method in water management is struggling with a number of methodological complications. One of the affected areas in the Czech Republic is the catchment of the Orlik Reservoir that faces excessive eutrophication. Eutrophication is caused by excessive introduction of phosphorus. The main sources of phosphorus are municipal wastewater, aquaculture and agriculture. As illustrated by professional research mentioned in this work and the actual processing of CEA of the catchment of the Orlik Reservoir, a wide range of methodological problems can be avoided by using appropriate tools. This thesis also presents that achieving of good status of the catchment would require annual cost of CZK 602 million. The most significant cost bearers are according to the CEA fisheries and municipalities.
