Abstract:
Práce se zaměřuje na vývoj zahraničního obchodu eurozóny od zavedení společné měny do roku 2006. Je přitom hodnocen vývoj jak vnějšího, tak i vnitřního exportu a importu členských států. V práci jsou nejprve zhodnocena teoretická východiska shrnující základní poznatky o Teorii optimálních měnových zón R. A. Mundella, obohacené o příspěvky Ronalda I. McKinnona a Petera B. Kenena. Zmíněna je i teorie endogenity optimálních měnových zón. Druhá část práce je věnována shrnutí hlavních přínosů, nákladů a potencionálních hrozeb vyplývajících z členství v měnové unii. Poslední část práce se pak věnuje již samotnému exportu a importu eurozóny. Nejprve je zhodnoceno postavení eurozóny na světových trzích, poté je zachycen vývoj jejího vnějšího obchodu. Zde je zvláštní kapitola věnována obchodním partnerům eurozóny a produktové struktuře jejího obchodu. Poslední kapitola celé práce se zaměřuje na vývoj vnitřního obchodu eurozóny. V práci jsou též uvedeny závěry několika analýz zkoumajících vliv členství v měnové unii na zahraniční obchod členských států. Přínosy jsou hodnoceny jak pro eurozónu jako celek, tak i pro jednotlivé členské státy.

Cílem práce ?Analýza vybraných spořících a investičních produktů poskytovaných českými bankami z hlediska výnosů, nákladů, rizika a likvidity? je předložení přehledu možných způsobů zhodnocení volných finančních prostředků prostřednictvím vybraných spořících a investičních produktů nabízených na českém finančním trhu. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou a následným porovnáním termínovaných vkladů, stavebního spoření, penzijního připojištění a investic do hypotečních zástavních listů, dluhopisů, akcií, investičních certifikátů a penzijních fondů. Pozornost je věnována především jejich výnosnosti, daňovému zatížení, rizikovosti, likviditě a nákladovosti. Dílčí cíl práce spočívá ve vybrání nejvýhodnějšího a nejméně výhodného produktu na základě výsledků provedené analýzy.

This thesis focuses on prices, quality & risks of the Facility management. In the theoretical part there are explained points referring to the Facility management, it’s contributions, ways of securing them, important fields and it’s targets. Also individual levels of cooperation and the job description of the management. There is also a mention of an important standardization, of which the Facility management couldn’t function without. Also the example of service contract and lastly, a very important chapter is dedicated to the quality of work provision and Facility management services. The practical part of this thesis is the case study based on a questionnaire of how to support services of the two different subjects, hotels and construction companies. The case study also describes the cost of these services, ways of controlling the quality provided and contracts with appointed workers. The result of this thesis is a detailed description of potential risks which can appear in the individual type of services. There is a suggested optimization for all the risks mentioned.

The master thesis focuses on effective and efficient use of supply chain management in a corporation with international scope of trade and its related risks, costs and efficiency management across the supply chain. The theoretical part includes basic foundations of the problematics, such as current trends, innovations, fundamental management strategies and the most popular methodologies used in analysing the supply chain management. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis and comparison of set-ups and approaches towards efficient supply chain management among nine international corporations based on interviews with employees from each of the company. The goal of the thesis is to answer the research questions and come to a conclusion about how the companies could positively manage the problematics related to effective supply chain management.

This thesis named Risk Manufacturing Companies in the Field of Human Resources reacts to increasing concern for risks nowadays. The theoretical part is dealing with general definition of risk, is giving examples of risk distinguishing and is implicating a risk factor into a company´s decision. Current theoretical knowledge of risk is connected to human resources area. Risk analysis is focusing on manufacturing process of specific company, specifically for a possible origin of risk situations caused by human factor which are employees. SWOT analysis, Ishikawa diagram, FMEA and risk matrix were used as risk methods. These helped to reveal risks and both preventive and corrective measures were proposed.

This diploma thesis deals with creating a project proposal of the research center construction according to the required specifications by SEDOX Company Ltd. The theoretical part describes the basic knowledge and tools of a project management – analytical tools for evaluating the financial and time project costs, also risk analysis relating to competitiveness and maintaining on top of the market. The third part is devoted to the current situation of the development application market. There is the complete proposal of the research centre construction, using the tools according to the IPMA (International Project Management Association) that were described in the theoretical part. In conclusion I have presented my own solution suggestions, their benefits, project sustainability, return of the investment cost and also long-term prosperity.

The goal of my diploma thesis is a financial assessment of feasibility of investment project which deals with implementation of four new bus lines in Prague integrated transportation. Evaluation is based on usage of net present value and internal yield percentage in three variants. In first variant the company uses just its own sources, the second variant is represented by drawing of bank loan and the third variation is solved by financial leasing. In the conclusion there is compared and evaluated an expediency of each way of investment financing.

The aim of the work is to analyze the theoretical basis of determination of the market risk premium in conditions of the national market in the Czech Republic with CAPM and practical procedures of its determination using the market data provided by Bloomberg. The work addresses some open problems of practical determination of market risk premium as a choice between historical and implied risk premium, determination of credit spread as a representative of country risk and accurate determination of the equity and bond market volatility ratio. The thesis also contains research on the cost of equity and single-factor sensitivity analysis demonstrating the significant influence of a small change in one parameter entering the calculation of the discount rate on the resulting value.

Abstract:
In this doctoral thesis is suggested the methodics for determination the risk structure depending on the corporate life cycle with considering the sector sensitivity to the economic cycle. The share of the operational and financial risk is calculated using the beta coefficient, in which the selected measuring quantities are included. The phases of the corporate life cycle are identified according to the quadrants of the Boston matrix and the sector sensitivity to the economic cycle is determined using the Spearman´s rank correlation coefficient describing the relation between the gross domestic product and sales of the sector. The methodics is applicable for both managers and investors.

Abstract:
Chronic imbalance between government revenues and expenditures was the main cause of growing public debt in many economies. In economic theory we can find some other arguments that justify deficit financing of government expenditures or public debt. We can mention these arguments -- in some situations (for example natural disaster) government borrowing from other subjects is very prompt and operative way how to gain additional money and seems to be better than other ways (for example better than increase of taxation), government bonds and securities can be very attractive instrument where economic subjects allocate savings and improve liquidity of secondary markets or can be used for monetary policy. On the other hand many arguments against budget deficit and public debt are in theory described and analyzed -- negative affects in savings allocation (crowding-out affect), cost of debt service limits active fiscal policy, debt burden is shifted to other generations, government expenditures from debt financing can negatively effect macroeconomic stability. In theory and in practical policy is public debt and its effects on economy relatively complicated and controversial topic and we can analyze its from economic, technical and political point of view. It results also from the fact that there are many different debt instruments which can be used to finance the budget deficit. A main distinction is the currency of denomination, and, in particular, whether or not is the domestic currency. Another important characteristics is the initial term to maturity, which among marketable instrument may range from few weeks to 30 years. A policymaker may rely on marketable securities, as well as on loans from financial institutions and on savings bonds sold to personal investors. Which instruments policy makers choose depends on the objective they pursue as well as on the circumstances in which the choice is made. Debt management we can define as the process of establishing and executing a strategy for managing the government's debt in order to raise the required amount of funding, achieve its risk and cost objectives, and to meet any other sovereign debt management goals the government may have set, such as developing and maintaining an efficient market for government securities. The objective of debt management policy is to minimize over the long term the cost of meeting the government's financing needs, taking account of risk connecting with debt portfolio. Application of debt management in real economy covers for example these specific issues: Debt management objectives and strategy, coordination with fiscal and monetary policy, allocation of responsibilities and objectives among institutions and authorities dealing with debt management, transparency to public, institutional framework, technical and information base. Importance of public debt management results from facts that high levels of public debt are a common feature of modern economies. It is possible to suppose that debt management is going to be very actual issue in the Czech Republic in near future for these reasons -- Czech Republic is small and open economy (we can consider it to be emerging market), during last several years public debt in Czech Republic have been growing rapidly not only in absolute volume but also as GDP ratio, there is a permanent danger that financial and economic shocks in international economy combined with inappropriate fiscal and monetary policy can have negative or in extreme case fatal impact on many people living in the Czech Republic. Dissertation "Public debt Management" primary focused on these issues and problems: Basic theoretical points concerning fiscal policy, deficit and public (government) debt -- methodology of measuring debt, influence debt on economy, risks connecting with public (government) debt Arguments for and against deficit and debt Public debt management -- general recommendations of International Monetary Fund Practice as for the public debt management in some countries -- USA, Sweden, countries of Euro-area Situation as for the public debt in Czech Republic Public debt management in Czech Republic -- historic development, goals and criteria set and used presently, analyze of risks that public debt management deals with, risk management applied in Czech republic, evaluation public debt management in Czech republic -- confrontation with recommendations of International Monetary Fund Analyze of impact of financial crises on process of public debt management in Czech republic Some arrangements concerning directly or indirectly public dept management in Czech Republic are recommended and analyzed. These recommendations are: Implementation of "inflation-linked" bonds Increasing portion of debt denominated in euro currency Prolongation of calendar of emissions Improvement of intelligibility of documents named "Strategie" that should declare and explain principles of public debt management in Czech republic Creation and implementation of special law destined for public debt management

Abstract:
The priority of this work is to show the importance of risk management and the proper operation in electricity trading companies. In the theoretical part of the thesis are summarized basic information about the energy market in the Czech Republic and also a brief overview of the risks observed in the electricity trading. In recent years there have been several cases where a company did not observe their risks or even did not monitor these risks at all. This had a negative impact on the entire Czech energy market. In the practical part of this thesis are described the cases of companies Moravia Energo a.s. and Korlea Invest a.s., setting its risk management and also consequences of their falls. Furthermore, this work describes the different tools to support risk management, which are not the cheapest definitely. Also work contains an example of calculating the limits for credit exposure of the two companies that I calculated based on the analysis of the annual reports of these companies and I managed to get a lot of interesting information during writing this work that the reader will definitely appreciate.

This diploma thesis "A Performance Comparison of in Czech Republic available mutual funds and ETFs from the view of CZK investor" elaborates on collective investing in Czech Republic; focusing on mutual funds and their exchange traded alternatives in ETFs. In the thesis, a history of Czech collective investments' development is briefly mentioned and of ETFs' beginnings in the US, also a legislative framework for the mutual funds in CZ is shortly discussed; furthermore, different approaches to fund classification based on various criteria are provided. An impact of fund fees and expenses is also analysed. A Current situation on the capital market of funds and ETFs and its trends are showed in many graphs and tables. In the second part of the thesis, author introduces not only the basic ones but also the more sophisticated methods of portfolio's or fund's performance measurements, including yields, risks, risk-adjusted yields etc... The third and last chapter aims at application of the previously mentioned methods on a selection of 20 funds and ETFs; therefore building a financial model enabling that. The analysis is viewed as from the CZK investor, thus all calculations are made in CZK.

This diploma thesis deals with spot energy trading in the Czech Republic. The first section focuses on legal market environments, market members, and types of individual markets. This serves as an introduction to the second and the final section, which answers the question of the advantageousness of spot energy trading. The final section illustrates a practical demonstration of an optimization analysis of energy costs in a particular company. The contribution of this thesis, in my opinion, is the practical description of the calculation of energy costs in one company or an association of companies, which are considering the spot energy purchase, and a transfer of the responsibility for the deviation.

Abstract:
This doctoral thesis deals with modelling and simulation of investment projects and linking risk management with new trends in construction industry. Process of balancing of acceptable risk level and investment costs is really complex and is influenced by several uncertainties. Simulation methods are able to model future scenarios of project development and quantify impact of risk factors. The aim of the doctoral thesis is to find an optimal methodology for risk analysis during decision-making process using simulation methods. The methodology links modeling by simulation method Monte Carlo with CBA, with risk analysis respectively. The aim is to reach more effective process of planning of investment projects. An accurate project plan in preinvestment phase will influence effectiveness of life cycle costs significantly. This is proved also by BIM methodology which works on base of transfer and storage of actual and complete information about investment plan within its whole lifecycle. Expected output of the thesis is effective application of simulation methods in risk prediction for modeling of outputs of investment project. Data from model are useful for decision making process, risk management, controlling and postaudit of investments. Projects can be evaluated by their complex benefits and quality with respect to sustainability.

Abstract:
This work deals with economic impact of accidents caused by motorcyclists on public budgets in Czech Republic in 2008. The theoretical part discuss the determinants that may influence risky driving behavior of motorcyclist. Special attention is devoted to the endogenous variable -- the law on compulsory use of helmet. The practical section gives a presentation of some statistical data of motorcycle accidents on Czech roads during 2000 -- 2009. In analytical terms, focusing on 2008, are first examined the cost items of public budgets, which are divided into direct (health care, examination by the police, courts and sickness benefits) and indirect (loss of income from taxes, regulatory fees and loss of product). The second part consists of items of benefits, which are also divided into direct (fines, taxes on equipment and fuel) and indirect (saving the payment of pensions and health care costs). The main contribution of the thesis is the calculation of total costs and benefits of the accidents caused by motorcyclists in 2008, with the conclusion of an obvious negative effect on public budgets. The loss comes at a nominal value of almost CZK 1.2 billion.

The aim of the thesis is to create a business plan for the helicopter school HELITOM s.r.o. The first part is theoretically oriented and explains what a business plan is, what are the basic procedures for the assembly. Further theoretical section describes the specifics of the business in a helicopter flying, especially legislation. The practical part consists of the actual business plan. In the business plan there was made, among other things, competition analysis and analysis of potential risks. The dissertation thesis is elaborated to the theme “The Modelling of The Development of The Middle-Size Building Enterprise Value in The Real Competition of The Czech Republic“. In the introduction of the dissertation thesis, a relation of the chosen theme to the branch of Forensic Engineering is defined and a survey about a contemporary state of the solved problems is elaborated. Further on, the objectives of the dissertation thesis are stated there namely including a formulation of a problem. The dissertation thesis contains the basic data about the examined middle-size building enterprise of a regional significance and its competitive building enterprises. At all enterprises, a property evaluation by an assessment of a substantial value and a returns’ evaluation by a method DCF Entity are carried out. The component of the dissertation thesis is a proposal of a simple expert standard containing methodical recommendations at an assessment of a value of a building enterprise of a regional significance. This is the essential contribution of the dissertation thesis for the branch Forensic Engineering whose starting ascertainments are practical pieces of knowledge and experience with the behaviours of the middle-size building enterprises in a period of a financial crisis.
