Abstract:
Namnam is known as a plant family of fabacea that contains phenolic compounds with diverse biological activities including antibacterial. The aim of this study was to isolate and characterize the antibacterial activity of compounds isolated from ethyl acetate extract of the leaves namanam (Cynometra cauliflora L.). Extraction was done by maceration, fractionation by column chromatography, antibacterial essay by disc diffusion method, and characterization of compounds with UV-Vis, FTIR spectroscopy and LCMS. Ethyl acetate extracts have antibacterial activity with inhibition zone respectively 12.25 and 6.00 mm to Escherecia coli and Stapilococcus aureus at a concentration of 100,000 ppm. The results of column chromatography fractions 23-30 yielded three isolates with Rf 0.20 cm; 0.33 cm and 0.87 cm. Characteristics of antibacterial active compounds in isolates 2 (Rf 0.33 cm) is based on the analysis results are UV-Vis absorption at λmaks 206.93 nm, 268.40 nm, 328.58 nm, 383.98 nm and 386.98 nm , FTIR (KBr) showed -OH group 3415.68 cm-1, CH 2958.10 cm-1, C = C aromatic 1651.18 cm-1, C-OH cyclic 1019.88 cm-1 and CH aromatic 694.56 cm-1 and LCMS produce three main peak at a retention time of 4.82; 6.87 and 7.64 which is thought to be the compound 2-isopropyl-5-metilsikloheksil 2-hidroksipropanoat, Cuelure, and 2-[(2-Hydroxycyclohexyl) oxy] cyclohexanecarboxylate. Abstract:
Introduction: Porphyromonas gingivalis growth should be prevented to minimise inflammation in periodontal tissues. Antibacterial herbs need to be considered because there are side effects caused by synthetic antibacterial drugs. Namnam (Cynometra cauliflora L.) leaves are known for having antibacterial effects. The purpose of this research was analysing the inhibition potential, and the highest inhibition concentration of namnam leaves extract on the growth of Porphyromonas gingivalis. Methods: 24 samples were divided into 6 groups. The positive control group was given 0.2% chlorhexidine, and the treatment group was given various concentrations (100%, 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%) of namnam leaves extract. The disc which spilled by various concentrations of namnam leaves extracts and 0.2% chlorhexidine was placed on a medium which has been inoculated by P. gingivalis, then incubated at 37ºC for 48 hours. The inhibition zone was measured using a vernier calliper. Results: The concentration of 100% had the highest average inhibition zone value, which was 11.43 mm. The content in namnam leaves extracts which serve as antibacterial were tannins, flavonoids, triterpenoids, saponins and quinones. Conclusion: Namnam leaves extract can inhibit the growth of P. gingivalis. 100% of namnam leaves extract has the highest antibacterial inhibition zone.Keywords: Antibacterial, Namnam leaves extract, periodontal disease, Porphyromonas gingivalis

Abstract:
Diabetes Melitus (DM) adalah kelompok gangguan metabolisme yang ditandai oleh hiperglikemia akibat kerusakan pada sekresi insulin, kerja insulin atau keduanya. Penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) mencapai 90-95% dari keseluruhan populasi penderita diabetes tersebut. Salah satu tanaman yang potensial sebagai alternatif obat antidiabetes adalah tanaman namnam (Cynometra cauliflora). Pada penelitian ini kemampuan penyerapan glukosa oleh otot diafragma yang diisolasi dari tikus non diabetes Sprague Dawley oleh ekstrak metanol daun namnam (C. cauliflora) pada berbagai konsentrasi ditentukan. Gugus fungsi senyawa dominan pada ekstrak menggunakan FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan penyerapan glukosa oleh diafragma ketika konsentrasi ekstrak daun namnam (C. cauliflora) meningkat dan tertinggi pada konsentrasi 450 mg/mL dengan serapan 0.4254 ± 3.23 mg/mL/30 menit dengan peningkatan sebesar 373.72% dibandingkan kontrol air. Diduga kemampuan ekstrak tanaman C. Cauliflora menyerap glukosa disebabkan keberadaan golongan flavonoid. Oleh karena itu daun tanaman namnam (C. cauliflora) memiliki potensi sebagai obat antidiabetes DMT2 melalui mekanisme peningkatan penyerapan glukosa ke dalam sel.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/jkv.v4i1.7345

Abstract:
Background: This study was intended to have a close look at the need of women in probation home and their health related aspects. The objective of the study was to obtain the socio-demographic profile of the inmates of probation home and to assess the health status of the study population.Methods: This was an institutional based cross sectional study which was carried out among the inmates residing in the probation home, Namkum, Ranchi. Data was collected using pretested semi-structured questionnaire on 14 January 2020 during a health camp. The questionnaire was designed to collect information on socio-demographic profile, health detail like co-morbid conditions, presenting complaint and findings of general examination. Data collected was entered in microsoft excel sheet and was analyzed using SPSS software version 20.Results: Out of total 54 inmates residing there, only 44 females willing to participate in the study were enrolled in the study, the response rate was 81.48%. More than two third (81.8%) population were of age group 15-25 years of age. Less than a half (45.5%) population had no formal education. On general examination we found that 75% were having mild to moderate pallor and 11.36% participants were underweight. More over the presenting complaint was also supportive that is weakness in 18.18% of participants.Conclusions: Based on our result we concluded that the population residing in the probation home was vulnerable to malnutrition and if not corrected may become susceptible to communicable and non-communicable diseases.

<p>Honey and namnam leaves (Cynometra cauliflora L.) have been shown to have antioxidant activity. Combination of both materials potent to be used as functional food. In this study, antioxidant activity of samples was measured by the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) (IC<sub>50</sub>) while total phenolic, total flavonoids, and vitamin C were determinated by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Honey samples used were commercial packaging rambutan honey (MR), commercial packaging rubber honey (MK), and commercial unpackaging rambutan honey (MR2). The combination ratio of honey and namnam leaves extract was 1:1, 1:2 and 2:1 (b/b). The highest value of total phenolic, total flavonoids, vitamin C and antioxidant activity in namnam leaves extract (N) was 267.690 mg GAE/g, 12.284 mg QE/g, 203.500 mg AA/g and IC<sub>50</sub> 0.004 mg/mL, respectively. The highest value of total phenolic was 0.588 mg GAE/g in MR2, while the highest value of total flavonoids and antioxidant activity (IC<sub>50</sub>) were 0.027 mg QE/g and 21.576 mg/mL in in MR, respectively. Combination MR and MR2 with namnam leaves extract (MR-N and MR2-N) with ratio 1:2 gave the highest antioxidant activity with IC<sub>50</sub> value 0.005±0.000 mg/mL in both samples. The highest value of total phenolic, total flavonoid, and vitamin C in MR-N and MR2-N was 266.027 mg GAE/g, 9.790 mg QE/g, and 100.33 mg AA/g, respectively. Therefore, the combination is potential as a functional food</p><p> </p><p>Madu dan daun namnam (<em>Cynometra cauliflora</em>) telah terbukti memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Kombinasi kedua bahan ini akan sangat potensial digunakan sebagai pangan fungsional. Pada penelitian ini, antioksidan diukur dengan metode DPPH (1,1-difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil) (IC<sub>50</sub>), sedangkan total fenolik, total flavonoid, vitamin C menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Abstract N-acetylmuramyl-L-alanine amidase (NAMLAA) specifically degrades peptidoglycan, which is a major component of bacterial cell walls with strong inflammatory properties. For instance, peptidoglycan is capable of stimulating peripheral blood cells to release pro-inflammatory cytokines and is capable of inducing chronic arthritis in an animal model. In a previous study we found that degradation of peptidoglycan by purified NAMLAA reduced its inflammatory effects. To determine where NAMLAA is located in tissues, monoclonal antibodies against purified NAMLAA were produced for use in immunohistochemistry, immunoelectron microscopy, flow cytometric analysis, and Western blotting. The immunohistochemical studies showed NAMLAA-positive cells in human spleen, liver, arthritic synovial tissues, and lymph nodes. In flow cytometric studies of blood and bone marrow, neutrophilic and eosinophilic granulocytes proved to be positive. Monocytes were negative, although they do contain lysozyme, the other important peptidoglycan-degrading enzyme. However, mature macrophages obtained by bronchoalveolar lavage and subsequent selection based on auto-fluorescence did possess NAMLAA. In immunocytochemical staining of blood smears, thrombocytes were also positive for NAMLAA. Western blot analysis and immunoelectron microscopy of neutrophils and eosinophils showed that NAMLAA is located in azurophilic granules of neutrophils and in secretory vesicles and crystalloid-containing granules of eosinophils. Flow cytometric analysis of blood and bone marrow from different French-American-British–classified acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients showed that AML-M2 myeloblasts were the first in the granulocyte maturation lineage that were positive for NAMLAA. The more immature AML, such as AML-M0 and AML-M1, did not express NAMLAA. CD15- and CD13-negative megakaryoblasts, corresponding to AML-M7, were also positive for NAMLAA. The expression pattern of NAMLAA in the myeloid lineage suggests that the monoclonal antibody AAA4, recognizing NAMLAA, is useful for discrimination between AML in the monocyte lineage and in the granulocyte lineage.

Abstract:
Tradisi lisan merupakan salah satu bentuk ekspresi kebudayaan daerah yang jumlahnya beratus-ratus di seluruh Indonesia. Tradisi Nampah Batu di Desa Depeha adalah upacara menek medesa, artinya warga masyarakat Desa Depeha yang telah melangsungkan upacara perkawinan yang dalam agama hindu disebut telah melaksanakan kehidupan grhasta asrama wajib ikut melaksanakan upacara Nampah Batu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) Untuk mengimplementasikan hasil rancangan pengembangan film dokumenter Tradisi Nampah Batu. (2) Untuk mengetahui respon masyarakat Bali khususnya Desa Depeha terhadap hasil akhir film dokumenter Tradisi Nampah Batu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam Film Dokumenter Tradisi Nampah Batu menggunakan metode cyclic strategy. Aplikasi ini diimplementasikan menggunakan Adobe Premiere Pro CC‎ sebagai pembuat video. Pemanfaatan aplikasi pembuat video dari dampak kemajuan teknologi menyebabkan para remaja atau anak muda mampu berkreasi dalam mengolah video dengan berbagai efek sesuai kemampuan dan keinginan sehingga video dapat dijadikan berbagai sarana yang vital dalam berbagai media promosi. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengembangkan sebuah film dokumenter yang berjudul Film Tradisi Nampah Batu “Kisah Dikutuknya Ida Ratu Ayu Manik Galih Oleh Dewi Danu” Di Desa Depeha Kecamatan Kubutambahan Kabupaten Buleleng. Dengan dikembangkannya film dokumenter ini, diharapkan keberadaan tradisi Nampah Batu di Desa Depeha semakin di kenal, serta dapat dijadikan sebuah media pembelajaran baik dari segi proses dan makna di balik sebuah Tradisi Nampah Batu yang berada di Desa Depeha. Hasil akhir film dokumenter Tradisi Nampah Batu dapat memberikan wawasan bagi penonton terkait Tradisi Nampah Batu. Respon pengguna terhadap film dokumenter Tradisi Nampah Batu dapat dikategorikan sangat baik. Cyclic Strategy is a method that sometimes has to be repeated before the next stage continues. The stages of Cyclic Strategy include briefs, stage 1, stage 2, evaluation 1, stage 3, evaluation 2, stage 4 and Outcome. With the making of the documentary film Tradition Nampah Batu, the public will realize the importance of the existence of local culture that is owned as a legacy of civilization in the past to be preserved as upholding historical values, norms and cultural uniqueness in the area of residence. Data penelitian selanjutnya diolah melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu: 1) reduksi data, 2) penyajian data, 3) analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 1) tradisi nampah batu merupakan simbol tanda penghormatan terhadap leluhur yang bermakna positif terkait kehidupan manusia, 2) Pelaksanaan tradisi nampah batu dilaksanakan pada purnama karo yang bertepatan pada bulan agustus, 3) Terdapat 6 nilai karakter yaitu nilai religius, nilai toleransi, nilai kerja sama, nilai disiplin, nilai tanggungjawab, nilai gotong royong yang tercermin dan terepresentasikan pada tradisi nampah batu, 4) Pengintegrasian nampah batu dapat dipresentasikan kedalam nilai-nilai karakter yang berpedoman pada pegangan hidup. Namaka é um dos dois satélites naturais do planeta anão Haumea, localizado no Cinturão de Kuiper, região com distância de cerca de 30 a 50 unidades astronômicas. Neste trabalho, investigamos a dinâmica e as características orbitais de satélites artificiais em torno da lua Namaka, considerando a atração gravitacional de Haumea, uma perturbação predominante na órbita do veículo espacial, cujo efeito pode afastá-lo de sua órbita nominal. A partir de simulações numéricas, órbitas de baixa altitude são analisadas, determinando a região com maior tempo de vida, ou seja, o tempo em que o veículo espacial demora para colidir com a superfície de Namaka. Encontramos órbitas com maior tempo de vida ao redor de Namaka para altitudes entre 1,1RN e 1,2RN (Raio de Namaka).

Penyakit diabetes melitus adalah disfungsi metabolisme karbohidrat. Terapi antidiabetes oral yaitu menggunakan agen penghambat α-glukosidase. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan kajian agen penghambat α-glukosidase yang potensial diantaranya madu kaliandra dan ekstrak daun namnam. Kajian ini akan difokuskan pada kemampuan sampel tersebut sebagai agen penghambat α-glukosidase baik dengan perlakuan bentuk tunggal maupun campuran, sebelum dan setelah fraksinasi. Selain itu digunakan FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa pada setiap perlakuan sampel tersebut. Uji aktivitas penghambatan α-glukosidase secara in vitro pada ekstrak daun namnam menunjukkan nilai IC50 sebesar 34,47 ppm, sedangkan madu kaliandra tidak menunjukkan aktivitas penghambatan α-glukosidase. Hasil fraksinasi cair-cair menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksana mampu menghambat α-glukosidase tertinggi berdasarkan nilai IC50 sebesar 8,46 ppm. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer FTIR pada ekstrak n-heksana mengandung gugus fungsi yang memiliki kemiripan dengan golongan senyawa steroid. Senyawa aktif pada ekstrak etil asetat dan ekstrak n-butanol mengandung gugus fungsi yang memiliki kemiripan dengan gugus fungsi standar senyawa kuersetin.

The data collection technique used is literature. The theory used in this research is feminism. The results of this study indicate that the novel Namaku Dahlia contains feminist ideas specifically in the economic and social fields. The results showed that there were four data representing feminism on the economic aspect and three data representing feminism on the social aspect.

Double metal amidoborans are considered to the most promising candidates for metal amidoborans. In this paper, the crystal structures, electronic properties, chemical bonds, hydrogen removal energies, and HOMO-LUMO of NaAB, NaLiAB, and NaMgAB have been studied. The GGA corrected density functional theory have been employed in the first principles calculations. Due to the alkali and alkali earth metals coexisting, the crystal structures of these compounds change significantly and the B–H, N–H and B-N bond lengths shorten. Moreover, the band structures and density of states of NaAB, NaLiAB, and NaMgAB were calculated. The charge density distributions and bond populations are used to understand the nature of bonding. The hydrogen removal energy states removing H(B) and H(N) from NaLiAB more easily than NaAB and NaMgAB. In addition, the frontier molecular orbital reveals that the intermolecular and intramolecular dehydrogenation of NaLiAB and NaMgAB may concur. The calculated HOMO-LUMO energy gaps suggest that the chemical reactivity is: NaLiAB> NaAB> NaMgAB.

Prosedur penelitian meliputi mengumpulkan, mereduksi, menyajikan, menafsirkan, dan menyimpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Bentuk ketidakadilan gender yang muncul dalam cerita adalah marginalisasi kaum perempuan akibat kungkungan adat dan budaya, stereotip, dan subordinasi terhadap kaum perempuan; (2) citra perempuan suku Asmat dalam Novel Namaku Teweraut karya Ani Sekarningsih digambarkan sebagai perempuan yang dijadikan objek seksual dan alat pemuas bagi laki-laki; perempuan penggoda; perempuan tertinggal; perempuan sebagai warga kelas dua; perempuan tidak bebas memeroleh pendidikan; perempuan penurut dan mudah ditakhlukkan; perempuan pengurus domestik semata; dan perempuan tersubordinasi. This study aims to categorize the toponymy based on its manifestation aspects, explain the meaning of village names, and identify the cultural values contained in the naming of villages in Ponorogo Regency. This research uses anthropolinguistic theory, toponymy, meaning, and cultural values. This research uses in-depth interview techniques and literature study to collect the data. The analysis method used is the descriptive ethnographic method. The results showed that 83 village names in Ponorogo Regency contained toponymy aspects based on the naming. The village toponymy category in Ponorogo Regency includes three naming aspects. The manifestation aspect is contained in 34 village names, social aspects in 39 village names, and cultural aspects in 11 village names. In terms of meaning, 32 village names contain advice, rules, patterns of thought related to Javanese customs culture in the local community. Besides, it also contains the cultural values of peace and prosperity.

AbstractThis study aims to describe the problem of young people’s failure in politics found in Hapsari Hanggarini’s novel “Namaku Subardjo”. From the novel, data and object of the research was obtained. The data are in the forms of sentences or dialogues and story units that lead to the correlation between politics and youth. The theoretical foundation is Terry Eagleton's sociology of literature which emphasizes on political ideology. Steps of the research method are: 1) reading Hapsari Hanggarini’s novel “Namaku Subardjo” as a whole, 2) colleting data, 3) classifying the data, 4) analyzing and interpreting the data. The importance of the research is to show that young people must be able to play a role and understand politics in order to advance the Indonesian nation. The result of the research is the role of young people in politics for the sake of advancing the Indonesian nation. Therefore, the relationship between youth and politics is very close, as in the novel “Namaku Subardjo” of which, the main character as a young people began to move to build Indonesian politics. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan kaum muda yang masih gagal dalam berpolitik yang terkandung dalam novel Namaku Subardjo karya Hapsari Hanggarini. Pentingnya penelitian ialah untuk menunjukkan bahwa kaum muda harus mampu berperan dan memahami politik demi memajukan bangsa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ialah peran kaum muda dalam berpolitik sangat dibutuhkan oleh negara. Oleh karena itu, hubungan antara kaum muda dan politik sangat erat, sama halnya dalam novel Namaku Subardjo, tokoh utama sebagai kaum muda mulai bergerak untuk membangun politik Indonesia.

Nowadays, the development of road capacity and vehicle quantity and the lack of optimal traffic infrastructure operations are the main problems in the Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon road section. This road is the object of observation because the road is an integrated system of the Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon road network. It is necessary to analyze how the performance and the thickness of the flexible pavement layer needed. To analyze road performance and calculate pavement thickness, the writer uses the Bina Marga 2017 method with ACL material at STA 0.00 - 13,345. The results of the analysis and calculation for the geometric planning of the Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon road section obtained the value of surface course with the 2017 Bina Marga method of 13 cm. Overlay work on the planning age is carried out in the 15 the year with an additional layer thickness with the Bina Marga 2017 method of 3 cm. And the traffic growth rate increased by 28.65% for 10 years y.a.d.Saat ini pengembangan kapasitas jalan dan kuantitas kendaraan dan kurangnya operasi infrastruktur lalu lintas yang optimal adalah masalah utama di ruas jalan Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon. Jalan ini adalah objek pengamatan karena jalan tersebut merupakan sistem yang terintegrasi dari jaringan jalan Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon. Perlu untuk menganalisis bagaimana kinerja dan ketebalan lapisan perkerasan lentur yang dibutuhkan. Untuk menganalisis kinerja jalan dan menghitung tebal perkerasan, penulis menggunakan metode Bina Marga 2017 dengan material ACL di STA 0,00 - 13,345. Hasil analisis dan perhitungan untuk perencanaan geometrik ruas jalan Nambak-Ngulungkulon Craken-Ngulungkulon diperoleh nilai permukaan jalan dengan metode Bina Marga 2017 13 cm. Pekerjaan overlay pada usia perencanaan dilakukan pada tahun ke-15 dengan tambahan ketebalan lapisan dengan metode Bina Marga 2017 3 cm. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan penelitian ini teori psikologi sastra insting purposif McDougall. Sumber data secara eksplisit berupa dokumen, yaitu novel Namaku Subardjo karya Hapsari Hanggarini terbitan tahun 2015. Data penelitian berupa kalimat atau dialog, satuan cerita yang mengarah pada insting perilaku purposif yang dilakukan tokoh. Pemerolehan data menggunakan teknik membaca dan mencatat informasi terkait insting kutipan novel. Hasil penelitian dalam novel Namaku Subardj menunjukkan: (1) bentuk perilaku insting purposif tokoh utama berupa insting menyelamatkan diri, insting penasaran, insting berkontruksi, insting penuntutan, dan insting tertawa dan (2) dampak perilaku dalam pengambilan keputusan, yakni insting perubahan perilaku purposif tokoh dengan lebih meningkatkan kualitas diri melalui literasi untuk menjadi caleg. Kata Kunci: insting, perilaku, psikologi, purposif AbstractThe research aims to (1) describe the character’s purposive behavior instincts in the context of the decision to become a legislative candidate, (2) describe the impact of the character’s purposive behavior instincts in the novel Namaku Subardjo by Hapsari Hanggarini. The method used descriptive qualitative. The theory used research is McDougall’s purposive instinct pschology theory. The data source is explicity, the novel Namaku Subardjo by Hapsari Hanggarini published in 2015. The data of this research is in the form of sentence or dialogue, a story unit that leads to the character’s. The results of the research can be understood Namaku Subarjo’s Novel, (1) The form of purposive instinct behavior in the main character is the instict to save oneself, The curios instinct, the construct instict, the instict for prosecution and the laugh instinct, and (2) The impact of behavior in decision making is the instinct for purposive behavior.
