Öz Erkek egemen toplumlarda kadına yönelik şiddetin kısmi bir kabul gördüğü bilinmektedir. Kadına yönelik şiddetin özel bir şekli de namus cinayetleridir. Son zamanlarda ulusal medyada kendisine oldukça fazla yer bulan namus cinayetleri, sosyolojik çalışmalarda da kendisine yer bulmaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de son zamanlarda oldukça sık tartışılan namus cinayetlerinin sosyal ve kültürel hayattaki durumunu tartışmaya açmaktadır. Çalışma basında yer alan namus cinayetleri ile sınırlıdır. Çalışmada içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye’de meydana gelen namus cinayetlerinin yoğun olarak ortaya çıktığı bölgelerdeki sosyal sorunlar, farklı bölgelerdeki sosyal yapının namus cinayetlerini nasıl etkilediği, toplumda nasıl yansıma bulduğu ve özellikle kadınlar tarafından nasıl algılandığı konusu, basına yansıyan haberlerin içerik çözümlemesiyle ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Abstract Violence against women is somewhat acceptable in societies which dominated by the patriarchal system. One of the aspects of violence against women is honor killings. Nowadays, honor killings take place pretty much in Turkish national media. This article discusses the social and cultural basis of honor killings debated quite often recently. The work is limited to honor killings reported by mass media. In the work the content analysis method was used. In this context, social problems and social structures of different regions of Turkey analyzed to determine the source of problem. Additionally, the place of the honor killings, how they come up, and their effects on women and society have been presented with the content analysis of the news on the media.

Gündelik yaşamda bir grubun diğerine kurduğu tahakkümün korunmasını sağlayan görünmez şiddet, yapısal, sembolik ya da normalleşmiş şiddet gibi çeşitli süreçler vardır. Pierre Bourdieu da güç ve tahakküm analizinden ve bunların modern toplumlarda toplumsal olarak yeniden üretilmesinden yola çıkarak, sembolik iktidar ve şiddet kavramını ortaya atmıştır. Sembolik iktidar, zihinlere dünya ve toplum düzeni tasavvurunun ve ırka, dine, etnik kökene veya cinsiyete dayalı toplumsal bölünmelerin meşru ve doğal olduğunu empoze etme gücüdür. Sembolik şiddet de toplumsal dünyamızı toplumun bütün üyeleri tarafından paylaşılan meşru ve “doğal” olarak varsaydığımız algı, düşünce ve eylem çerçevelerimiz olan bilişsel yapılar yoluyla gerçekleştirilir. Böylece sembolik şiddet, aynı zamanda biliş ve tanıma eylemleri olan tüm tahakküm ve boyun eğdirme eylemlerini ve hiyerarşileri kapsar. Kadının tahakküm altına alınması, ataerkil bir toplum ve devlet düzenin kurulmasıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Doğrudan şiddete başvurmadan, toplumsal dünya ilişkin kodlamaların eğitim sistemi ve din gibi ortak algı çerçeveleri üzerinden kadına yönelik sembolik şiddet, sembolik eril iktidarın ve tahakkümün korunmasında etkin rol üstlendiği görülmektedir. Bu makalede ataerkil düzenin dayandığı sembolik iktidarın kadının cinsel denetimini normalleştiren bir sembolik şiddet biçimi olarak namus olgusunun antropolojik ve sosyolojik gelişimi ile namusa dayalı bir doğrudan şiddet biçimi olan namus cinayetleri, Türkiye bağlamında incelenmiştir.

Abstract:
In Swiss German dialects first names are commonly used with a preceding article. Historically, the function of these so-called onymic articles was to show the name’s case. They first arose when inflection of first names had been omitted and case was thus no longer expressed in suffixes. The data gathered in 2016 in an online survey for the research project “Das Anna und ihr Hund” indicate that today the function of reflecting the case is hardly relevant. However, it is important to the speakers to emphasize the nameʼs grammatical gender. The three grammatical genders in (Swiss) German are feminine, masculine, and neuter. Typically, the ono­nymic articles’ grammatical gender corresponds to their referents’ biological gender, i. e. feminine articles for women’s names, masculine articles for men’s names. But sometimes neuter articles are used with female or, less often, with male names. Therefore, the same first name can have different grammatical genders that are indicated with an onymic article, e. g. d Anna (f.) or s Anna (n.). The choice of the article depends on the speaker, the situation, the referent, and other factors. Based on these observations, it is argued that marking grammatical gender is the onymic article’s main function and marking case is secondary.

AbstractThe particle namque is generally regarded as a variant of nam which can be used in its place when preceding a word with an initial vowel. The two particles do indeed have the same function, as described by Kroon (1995, 144): "nam marks discourse units that provide subsidiary information with regard to another, more central discourse unit". And namque is preferred before vowels in poetry. But more important is that namque seems to be more grammaticalized and hence less marked than nam. Unlike nam, in prose namque can appear in another position in the sentence than the first. Moreover, namque is avoided in complicated situations, where the addressee needs a clear signal of subsidiarity. Hence nam is preferred before coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, in praeteritio and occupatio and in interrogative sentences.

Abstract:
The zinc metallopeptidase Pseudomonas elastase (LasB) is a virulence factor of Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa), a pathogenic bacterium that can cause nosocomial infections. The present study relates the structural analysis of 118 N-alpha-mercaptoacetyl dipeptides (NAMdPs) as LasB inhibitors. Field-based 3D-QSAR and molecular docking methods were employed to describe the essential interactions between NAMdPs and LasB binding sites, and the chemical features that determine their differential activities. We report a predictive 3D-QSAR model that was developed according to the internal and external validation tests. The best model, including steric, electrostatic, hydrogen bond donor, hydrogen bond acceptor, and hydrophobic fields, was found to depict a three-dimensional map with the local positive and negative effects of these chemotypes on the LasB inhibitory activities. Furthermore, molecular docking experiments yielded bioactive conformations of NAMdPs inside the LasB binding site. The series of NAMdPs adopted a similar orientation with respect to phosphoramidon within the LasB binding site (crystallographic reference), where the backbone atoms of NAMdPs are hydrogen-bonded to the LasB residues N112, A113, and R198, similarly to phosphoramidon. Our study also included a deep description of the residues involved in the protein–ligand interaction patterns for the whole set of NAMdPs, through the use of interaction fingerprints (IFPs).

Abstract:
The paper analyses the correspondence between the present state of indoor environment and needs of habitants and the Lithuanian Hygienic Norm. To investigate the correspondence the authors (a) distinguish measures (attributes) of evaluating dwelling houses and their importance, (b) choose a method of processing the values of attributes, (c) choose a method of evaluating the efficiency of refurbishment and/or renovation of a building and (d) investigate dwelling houses in Naujoji Vilnia and evaluate the efficiency of refurbishment and/or renovation. As a result of the analysis the authors propose an approach to multi‐attribute assessment of dwelling houses before and after refurbishment and/or renovation and evaluation of its efficiency. The experiment results, obtained by measuring five dwellings in Naujoji Vilnia, show that the renovation process was the most efficient for the second dwelling. Santrauka Nagrinėjama, kaip gyvenamųjų namų vidinė aplinka atitinka gyventojų poreikius ir Lietuvos higienos normas. Išvados gali būti daromos: a) nustačius rodiklius, pagal kuriuos galima vertinti gyvenamuosius namus, ir jų reikšmingumą, b) pasirinkus rodiklių apdorojimo metodą ir c) pasirinkus metodą renovacijos efektyvumui nustatyti. Pateiktas daugiatikslis vidinės aplinkos vertinimo prieš ir po renovacijos bei renovacijos efektyvumo nustatymo būdas. Šis būdas pritaikytas penkiems gyvenamiesiems namams Naujojoje Vilnioje (Vilnius) įvertinti. Резюме Жилые дома Литвы не всегда соответствуют литовским нормам гигиены (HN 42:2004) и потребностям жителей. Поэтому они нуждаются в реконструкции. Несоответствие литовским нормам гигиены (HN 42:2004) может быть установлено не только по жалобам жителей, но и по результатам измерения внутреннего климата жилья. При этом важно (а) установить критерии оценки климата жилья и их приоритеты, (б) подобрать метод для обработки данных по установленным критериям оценки климата и их приоритетам, (в) подобрать метод для установления необходимой реконструкции и ее эффективности. Авторы предлагают метод многокритериальной оценки жилых домов до и после реновации и установления эффективности реконструкции жилых домов. Предложенный метод был применен для многокритериальной оценки жилых домов в Новой Вильне.

Abstract:
The paper presents the comparative analysis of dwelling maintenance contractors aimed at determining the degree of their utility for users and bidding price of services by applying the method of multicriteria complex proportional assessment. To compare the performance of various maintenance contractors, the data from 15 dwelling maintenance organizations was used. A questionnaire survey of dwelling owners was conducted. Contractors were evaluated by a set of 44 criteria characterizing them from various perspectives. The analysis was made taking into account the standpoints of building owners (clients). The initial weights of qualitative criteria were calculated by expert methods. Then they were coordinated with the calculated values of quantitative criteria using the method of multicriteria complex proportional assessment. Multicriteria analysis of the performance of maintenance contractors allows us to determine the importance of particular contractor characteristics for achieving the aim to meet the needs of different participants of the maintenance process. Santruka Straipsnyje pateikta daugiabučius namus administruojančiu imoniu lyginamoji analize. Tyrimo tikslas — nustatyti daugiabučius namus administruojančiu imoniu paslaugu naudinguma namo naudotojams. Pavyzdžiui išspresti buvo naudoti penkiolikos daugiabučius namus administruojančiu imoniu paslaugu rodikliai. Imones pagal 44 juos apibūdinančius kriterijus vertino daugiabučiu namu gyventojai. Pradiniai kokybiniu rodikliu reikšmingumai nustatyti taikant ekspertini metoda. Kokybiniu ir kiekybiniu rodikliu reikšmingumai suderinti, optimalus variantas ir variantu naudingumai nustatyti daugiakriterinio kompleksinio proporcingo vertinimo metodu (angl. method of COmplex PRoportional ASsessment, COPRAS). Pagal taikyta metoda derybu metu galima koreguoti pasiūlymu kainas, atsižvelgiant i nustatyta alternatyvu naudinguma. Daugiakriterine analize leidžia nustatyti konkretaus rangovo rodikliu reikšmingumus, ivertinus skirtingus daugiabučiu namu priežiūros proceso dalyviu poreikius.

AbstrakBahasa merupakan sumber daya yang mampu mengungkap sebuah misteri budaya dan budaya hanya dapat diungkapan dengan bahasa. Bahasa dan budaya Bali adalah sebuah cermin jatidiri penuturnya. Bahasa dan budaya ‘memasak’ dalam masyarakat Bali memiliki makna tersendiri yang dapat diungkapkan melalui kajian Metabahasa Semantik Alami (MSA), seperti pada verba ngengseb, ngnyatnyat, dan nambus. Teori MSA ini dirancang untuk mengeksplikasi semua makna, baik makna leksikal, makna ilokusi, maupun makna gramatikal. Verba ‘memasak’ dalam bahasa Bali termasuk dalam kategori verba tindakan (perbuatan) dan verba proses. Dalam verba tersebut terjadi polisemi takkomposisi antara MELAKUKAN dan TERJADI sehingga pengalam memiliki eksponen: “X melakukan sesuatu pada Y, dan karena itu sesuatu terjadi pada Y”. Dengan metode simak libat cakap dan teknik catat, diperoleh sebanyak 12 leksikon data yang terkumpul, selanjutnya dieksplikasikan untuk merepresentasikan makna aslinya. Berdasarkan metode, sarana, dan entitas yang digunakan dalam ‘memasak’, lesksikon verba ini terbagi dalam tiga kelompok, yaitu (1) ‘memasak’ dengan sarana air: nyakan, nepeng, ngukus, ngengseb, nglablab, ngnyatnyat (2) ‘memasak’ dengan sarana api: nunu, manggang, nambus, dan nguling, (3) ‘memasak’ dengan sarana minyak dan tanpa minyak: ngoreng dan ngenyahnyah. Semua leksikon yang memiliki makna memasak di atas berpola sintaksis MSA: X melakukan sesuatu pada Y dan Y masak/matang (termasak).

Abstract:
Findings regarding the relation between naming and inhibition among older adults is limited. We posited inhibitory control is crucial for successful naming and tested its role in older adults by exaggerating its effects. Participants included 215 older adults aged 55-89 years, categorized as “good” or ”poor” namers, based on confrontation naming scores. Via a computerized speeded picture-naming test (SNT), we induced intrusions. We then determined the distance between the source for the intruding word and the current item. Performance on traditional neuropsychological tests of inhibition was also assessed. Results revealed that poorer namers had more intrusions on the SNT than better namers, and their intrusions lingered through more stimuli. This suggests that poorer namers experienced greater retrieval inhibition difficulties than better namers. Performance on neuropsychological tests of inhibition also discriminated between better and poorer namers. In conclusion, successful naming among older adults appears to rely heavily on maintaining inhibitory abilities.***Efeitos da inibição na nomeação no envelhecimento***Os achados sobre a relação entre nomeação e inibição entre os idosos são limitados. Nós postulamos que o controle inibitório é crucial para a nomeação bem-sucedida e testamos seu papel em idosos, exagerando seus efeitos. O desempenho em testes neuropsicológicos tradicionais de inibição também foi avaliado. Os resultados revelaram que os mais nomeadores “pobres” tiveram mais intrusões no SNT do que os “bons”, e suas intrusões permaneceram através de mais estímulos. Isso sugere que os nomeadores mais pobres experimentaram maiores dificuldades de inibição de recuperação do que os melhores nomeadores. O desempenho em testes neuropsicológicos de inibição também discriminou entre nomeadores melhores e mais pobres. Concluindo, a nomeação bem-sucedida entre os adultos mais velhos parece depender muito da manutenção de habilidades inibitórias.

Zusammenfassung Die altkirchliche Trinitätslehre intendierte die Übersetzung der biblischen Tradition über den Gott Israels und seinen Logos in die Sprache der neuplatonischen Metaphysik. Durch die damit gegebene Ontologisierung werden die biblischen Aussagen über die Offenbarung des NAMENs des Gottes Israels an sein Volk verdrängt. Der Beitrag legt die alt- und zwischen-testamentlichen Wurzeln der Trinitätslehre frei, indem er die Erzählstruktur der Rede von der NAMENtlichkeit des Gottes Israels aufzeigt. Eine gesamtbiblische Reformulierung der Trinitätslehre hat sich an der Auslegung des NAMENs des einen Gottes Israels in seiner Israel-, Messias- und Geistgegenwart zu orientieren.

Abstract:
Models and rules of behavior, formed in the cultural space of each people, are perceived as ethnic. Te Avar language picture of the world reflects the worldview of ancestors, their experience, wisdom and relation to life and surrounding phenomena in the form of set expressions, which are signifcant for a daily life of the Avars and make their speech more colourful and expressive. Te article deals with the peculiarities of the concept “namus” (“honor”, “dignity”) realization in the Avar phraseological and paremiological picture of the world. Based on the data of dictionaries, associative experiments and the analysis of proverbs and phraseological units, there were revealed and described national cultural components of the paremiological images associated with “honor” and “dignity”. Also, there were analyzed paremias and phraseological units used for qualitative characteristics of a person. It was concluded that «namus» is one of the key concepts of the Avar language picture of the world, which is confrmed by semantic capacity and high derivational potential of the concept, represented by more than 150 lexemes. It was also showed that this concept also realizes the semantics of «duty», «heroism», «duty», «respect», «humanity». Te study helped see possible semantic actualization of the concept as well as its national specifcity.

Abstract:
This study examined the impact of odor naming and imagery ability on the capacity of female participants to form odor images, as indexed by a novel olfactory repetition priming task. Experiment 1 involved three conditions – olfactory and visual imagery priming, and a no-prime control. Odor imagery priming was only obtained in good odor namers. Experiment 2 used the same conditions, but altered the nature of the hit-rate trials to test how odor imagery might facilitate performance in good odor namers. Odor imagery priming was again obtained only in good odor namers and this effect appeared to result from generic activation of olfactory processing caused by trying to imagine a smell. Experiment 3 examined whether this latter effect might be generated semantically, but no evidence for this was obtained. Together, these findings suggest that trying to form an odor image can facilitate performance by producing a generic state of activation, which only benefits existing odor-name associations. While this effect is mediated via perceptual processes it may occur independently of a conscious image.
