Abstract:
This two year project is to study and develop the fonnulation of nano thin film solution containing chitosan to prolong the shelf-life of mango 'Namdokmai". The physiology of mango after coating with chitosan solution and stored at 25 °C and 14°C was investigated. In the first year project, nano thin film solution containing chitosan was developed and characterized. The results suggested that chitosan with molecular weight of 65,000 -410,000 g/mol is well dissolved in acetic acid with the concentration of 0.5% (v/v). Tween 80® can enhance the film to stick continuously on the hydrophobic surfa

Abstract:
The use of engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) in consumer products has expanded rapidly, revealing both innovative improvements over conventional materials, and the potential for novel risks to human health and the environment. As the number of new nano-enabled products and the volume of toxicity data on ENMs continues to grow, regulatory agencies like the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) – a small, independent federal agency responsible for protecting consumers from unreasonable risks associated with product use – will require the ability to screen and group a diverse array of nano

Abstract:
The project aims to address the need for an inorganic coating composite for corrosion protection of pipelines in an aggressive environment. The inorganic coating does not generate CO2 emission or volatile organic content (VOC). Inorganic coatings are frequently used in the construction industry as anti-corrosion coatings, which are effective, chemically inert, hard, and thermally stable. In this study, microfiber reinforcement and Nano-modification were used to improve the performance of the inorganic coating system. The research work integrates both laboratory testing and numerical simulation

Abstract:
Stakeholder engagement is an important component in developing policies on critical issues such as the use and development of novel methods and technologies, including biotechnologies and nanotechnologies. Understanding the perspectives, needs, and concerns of stakeholder groups can facilitate the development of transparent and trusted policy recommendations. Innovative online research platforms have been developed as alternatives to typical stakeholder engagement methods such as in-person focus groups, interviews, and online and paper surveys. These platforms facilitate the engagement of geog

Abstract:
This project focused on the evaluation of the influence of nanoadditives on the hydration kinetics, mechanical properties, and durability of concretes with and without supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). The types of nanomaterials used in the course of this study included nano-titanium dioxide (nano-TiO2) and two forms of nanosilica. A series of experimental tasks, including fabrication, curing, and conditioning of specimens, microstructure analysis, mechanical strength testing, and durability testing were conducted in the laboratory. Based on experimental results, it can be concluded
