The ability to encapsulate linear nanoparticle (NP) chains in scrolled nanosheets is an important advance in the formation of nanocomposites. These nanopeapods (NPPs) exhibit interesting properties that may not be achieved by individual entities. Consequently, to fully exploit the potential of NPPs, the fabrication of NPPs must focus on producing composites with unique combinations of morphologically uniform nanomaterials. Various methods can produce NPPs, but expanding these methods to a wide variety of material combinations can be difficult. Recent work in our group has resulted in the in sit

Abstract:
Graphene and graphene-based materials, owing to their unique physical and chemical properties, have attracted considerable attention across the scientific communities worldwide. It has heralded a revolution in almost all the branches of materials science and chemistry. The attractive properties of graphene have led the extensive investigations to design and develop low-cost and high yield preparation protocols for chemically-derived graphene (graphene oxide). Graphene oxide (GO), a two-dimensional sheet of sp2 hybridized carbon, has received increasing attention as it possesses similar propert

Organic/inorganic Poly(lactic acid)(PLA) metal alkoxide hybrid films are prepared using the sol-gel method. These hybrid films are subjected to thermal stability, mechanical properties, optical properties, surface morphology and structures properties analyses. Also, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and thermo-mechanical analysis (TMA) are used to assess the material dimensional stability and haze meter and ult

博士
國立中央大學
化學研究所
97
Electrochromic materials will change their optical properties (color or transmittance) upon applying dc voltages. Electrochromic devices have been developed for the application as smart windows and anti-glare rear view mirrors, due to their various merits such as multicolor, high contrast, optical memory, and no visual dependence on viewing angle. In this proposal, we synthesize a series of new soluble electrochromic copolymers containing 4,4-Dioctylcyclopenta[2,1-b; 3,4-b’]dithiophene (DOCPDT) unit. Controlling catalyst morphology and composition are required to make meaningful structure-activity/stability relationships for the design of future catalysts. Herein, we have employed strategies of presynthesis and infusion or electroless deposition to achieve exquisite control over catalyst composite morphology. The oxygen reduction (ORR) and the oxygen evolution reactions (OER) were chosen as model systems, as their slow kinetics is a major limiting factor preventing the commercialization of fuel cells and rechargeable metal air batteries.
