AbstractLa notion de point de vue se rencontre dans differentes théories stylistiques, littéraires et linguistiques, qui tantôt se rejoignent, tantôt divergent dans l'usage métaphorique qu'elles font de cette expression empruntée à la langue courante. Qu'y a-t-il en effet de commun entre le procédé de traduction appelé ‘modulation’, le concept de ‘focalisation’ ou de ‘perspective’ en narratologie, et l'identification des marqueurs proprement linguistiques du point de vue?Dans la théorie des opérations énonciatives d'Antoine Culioli, le concept de point de vue est lié à la construction d'un certain type de repérage par rapport à une origine énonciative et permet, entre autres choses, de rendre compte de phénomènes relevant des choix aspectuels et modaux. Cet article cherche à montrer,à travers l'étude de quelques exemples bilingues, en quoi le concept de repère-point de vue est opératoire dans l'étude des divergences aspectuelles entre l'anglais et le français et dans quelle mesure une analyse en ces termes peut contribuer à l'élaboration de stratégies de traduction.

Abstract:

Der Beitrag stellt die Möglichkeiten einer an der kognitiven Narratologie ausgerichteten Analyse der Figurendarstellung und sich daran anschließende Überlegungen zur Rezipientenwahrnehmung vor. Als Beispielfiguren dienen Geistliche (allesamt Vertreter des weltlichen Klerus) aus sechs Texten, die sich unter dem Oberbegriff ‘Schwank’ subsumieren lassen. Die Kleriker im Schwank werden in der Regel als stereotype Figuren wahrgenommen, die klischeehaft dem Topos des ‘liebestollen Pfaffen’ entsprechen — auch die Forschung teilt diese Ansicht und widmet ihnen daher kaum Aufmerksamkeit. Allerdings öffnet eine genaue erzähltheoretisch fundierte Untersuchung der Texte den Blick auf weit vielschichtigere Figuren, die vom Publikum durchaus unterschiedlich rezipiert worden sein dürften.

Abstract:

Résumé La Bible interdit de représenter Dieu « en image » mais ne se prive pas de le mettre en scène dans des récits. Comment alors éviter que le lecteur ne se fabrique une « image de Dieu narrative » idolâtre ? À partir du récit de Caïn et Abel (Gn 4), analysé sous l’angle des dialogues et des points de vue différenciés des personnages, l’article démontre que la narration biblique, par la manière dont elle raconte, brouille la représentation de Dieu et invite à une lecture dialogique. Loin de la lecture moralisante et culpabilisante traditionnelle (qui reprend uniquement le point de vue de Caïn), on se rend compte que le récit insiste sur les multiples initiatives divines pour entrer en discussion avec Caïn afin de le faire advenir réellement à lui-même, comme individu moralement responsable. En introduction, une réflexion est proposée quant à l’intérêt de la narratologie pour évaluer le jeu des multiples relectures artistiques d’un récit biblique et pour établir un dialogue interdisciplinaire entre l’exégèse et l’histoire de l’art.

Abstract:

I denne artikkelen vil vi diskutere karakteren fru Ruben fra Hamsuns roman Siste Kapitel, som utkom i 1923. I sammenheng med denne karakteren ønsker vi å se henne i lys av Allen Simpsons artikkel "Knut Hamsun's Anti-Semitism" der han kaller henne for "Hamsun`s mostoffensive anti-Semitic fictional creation." Simpson argumenterer her for at Hamsun ved flere anledninger bekjentgjør sine politiske standpunkt og tydeliggjør dem gjennom diktningen sin. Dette kommer allerede frem ved en av artikkelens mellomtitler, "Anti-Semitism in Hamsun's Authorship", som peker mot en lesning av Hamsun og hans forfatterskap som vanskelig kan misforstås.Simpsons argumentasjonsmetode later ikke til å ta hensyn til nødvendigheten av en narratologisk analyse; istedenfor virker det som om argumentasjonen baseres på Hamsuns liv, hans kulturelle og politiske sympatier og antipatier. En slik bruk av historisk-biografiskopplysninger kan være problematisk, fordi teksten selv risikerer å bli tilsidesatt. Simpson hevder at Hamsun i Siste Kapitel klart knytter an til anti-semittiske referanser, slik som navn, bruk av terminologi,utseende og andre klisjeer om jøder og han knytter disse opp til karakteren fru Ruben. Han konkluder med at hun må være jødisk, til tross for en slående mangel på konkret tekstlig belegg omkring karakterens religiøse og kulturelle tilknytning. På bakgrunn av Simpsons sterke påstand kombinert med mangelfull tekstlig illustrasjon, ønsker vi å drøfte fru Rubens jødiske opphav.

Abstract:

FR. Du point de vue sémio - narratif, ce travail démontre de quelles manières les clivages politiques entre les quotidiens et entre les journalistes s’effacent en matière d’assainissement urbain à Kinshasa. Il s’agit ici d’une découverte inattendue au regard de la littérature existante sur le journalisme, particulièrement en RDC, et qui établit notamment comment les contenus des médias congolais sont clivés selon leurs différentes orientations politiques. La présente étude procède par une analyse croisée des articles journalistiques dédiés à la problématique de gestion urbaine des déchets et des déclarations des auteurs de ces articles sur les conditions de production de ces derniers. Elle tient compte des acquis des travaux sur les rapports entre les médias (presse, radio, télévision) et le pouvoir politique en RDC, vu que la presse quotidienne considère la gestion urbaine des déchets comme une question éminemment politique. Dans une approche discursive des corpus mobilisés, inspirée par la narratologie sémiotique, l’auteur découvre l’uniformité des contenus de ces corpus à trois niveaux : 1. - au niveau du constat de l’ampleur de l’insalubrité publique après la fin du financement du Projet d’appui à la réhabilitation et l’assainissement urbain de la ville de Kinshasa (PARAU) par l’Union Européenne (UE), 2. - au niveau de la double incapacité du gouvernement congolais à financer l’évacuation des déchets des décharges publiques construites par l’UE et à faire respecter la loi sur la salubrité publique, 3. - au niveau de l’ambivalence du statut de la population vue par les chevaliers de la plume comme responsable et victime de l’insalubrité publique. Dans ces trois niveaux, les indices textuels concordent et les structures narratives des corpus analysés se ressemblent. Ceci constitue un bémol intéressant que cette étude apporte quant à l’effet du positionnement politique d’un journal sur son contenu. Un apport remarquable qui mérite des approfondissements ultérieurs. *** EN. From a semio-narrative point of view, this study demonstrates the ways political divisions between newspapers and between journalists are disappearing with respect to urban sanitation in Kinshasa. This is unexpected in light of existing literature on journalism, particularly in the DRC, which establishes how Congolese media is divided along lines defined by political orientation. This study cross-analyzes journalistic articles dedicated to the urban waste management issue and the discourses of these articles’ authors on the production conditions of the latter. It takes into account an analysis of the work on the relationship between the media (press, radio, television) and political power in the DRC, since the daily press considers urban waste management a highly political issue. Following a discursive approach of the mobilized corpus, inspired by a semiotic narratology, the author discovered uniformity in the content of this corpus in three instances: 1) the observation of the extent of public insalubrity after the end the financing of the Kinshasa City Rehabilitation and Urban Sanitation Support Project (PARAU) by the European Union (EU), 2) the incapacity of the Congolese government to finance the evacuation of waste from public landfills built by the EU and to enforce public health law, and 3) the ambivalence of the status of the population as seen by news writers as both responsible and victim of public insalubrity. In all three instances, the textual indices agree and the narrative structures of the corpus analyzed are similar. In this respect, this study provides an interesting caveat regarding the effect of newspapers’ political positioning on content and deserves further study. *** PT. Do ponto de vista semio-narrativo, este trabalho demonstra de que maneira as divisões políticas entre jornais e entre jornalistas estão desaparecendo em termos de saneamento urbano em Kinshasa. Esta é uma descoberta inesperada à luz da literatura existente sobre jornalismo, particularmente na DRC, que estabelece como o conteúdo dos congoleses é dividido de acordo com suas diferentes orientações políticas. Este estudo prossegue com uma análise cruzada de artigos jornalísticos dedicados à questão do gerenciamento de resíduos urbanos e as declarações dos autores desses artigos sobre as condições de produção deste último. Ele leva em conta as realizações do trabalho sobre a relação entre a mídia (imprensa, rádio, televisão) e o poder político na DRC, uma vez que a imprensa diária considera a gestão de resíduos urbanos uma questão altamente política. Numa abordagem discursiva, inspirada na narratologia semiótica, corpora mobilizada, o autor descobre a uniformidade do conteúdo desses corpora em três níveis: 1. - no nível da observação da extensão da insalubridade pública após o fim do financiamento do Projeto de Apoio à Reabilitação e Saneamento Urbano da Cidade de Kinshasa (PARAU) pela União Europeia (UE), 2. - a dupla incapacidade do governo congolês para financiar a evacuação de resíduos de aterros públicos pela UE e fazer cumprir a lei de saúde pública, 3. - no nível da ambivalência do status da população visto pelos cavaleiros da pena como responsáveis e vítimas de insalubridade pública. Nestes três níveis, os índices textuais concordam e as estruturas narrativas dos corpora são semelhantes. Este é um reverso interessante que este artigo apresenta sobre o efeito do posicionamento político de um jornal em seu conteúdo. Uma contribuição notável que merece mais estudos. ***

Abstract:

Dette fjerde nummer af tidsskriftets 81. årgang indeholder tre artik-ler, der har et bibeleksegetisk tema, men samtidig demonstrerer hvor-dan, man kan gå til bibelske tekster fra meget forskellige perspektiver. Den fjerde artikel belyser et stykke nyere nordisk kirkehistorie. I nummerets første artikel leverer Louise Heldgaard Bylund en un-dersøgelse af, hvordan perikopen om Jesu fristelse i ørkenen (Matt 4,1-11; Luk 4,1-13) bliver genfortalt i syv danske børnebibler fra de seneste 15 år. Bylund benytter i artiklen den narratologiske analyse som sit greb til at afdække fælles tendenser i den tolkning af periko-pen, som børnebiblerne formidler. Det viser sig, at gengivelserne af fristelsesberetningen her primært tolker den som en moralsk eksem-pelfortælling. Det sker ikke så meget gennem direkte belærende ud-sagn. Derimod lægger børnebiblernes gengivelser op til en høj grad af identifikation med teksten. Kristologien i børnebiblernes fortælling har ikke først og fremmest (som hos evangelisterne) vægt på lydighed og troskab mod traditionen men snarere på Jesus som en stærk per-son, der træffer det rette personlige valg. De næste to artikler beskæftiger sig begge fra hver sin vinkel med en central nytestamentlig tekst, 1 Kor 15. Thomas Lederballe Pedersen udlægger Paulus’ udsagn 1 Kor 15,49 om at “bære det himmelske menneskes billede” i lyset af, hvad visualitetsstudier kan fortælle om samtidens romerske billedkultur. Her spiller forvandlingsmotivet en vigtig rolle, som det ses i Ovids Metamorfoser, og som det udmøn-ter sig ikke mindst i udformningen af Augustus-fremstillinger, hvor Augustus’ ophøjelse til en guddommelig figur legemliggøres i statuer, der på en gang har portrætlighed og fremstår stærkt idealiserende. I disse fremstillinger får den guddommeliggjorte Augustus-figur et udødeligt himmelsk legeme; og Pedersen argumenterer for, at kend-skabet til denne form for legemlig forvandling fra den visuelle kultur har været en del af forståelseshorisonten hos Paulus’ læsere. Temaet for Daniel Mikkelsens artikel er ligeledes 1 Kor 15. Han diskuterer de to syn på hvad Paulus forstår ved opstandelseslegeme, “kødforståelsen” og “åndsforståelsen”. Ifølge det første syn bevarer mennesket efter opstandelsen et legeme af kød, men i forherliget og udødelig kvalitet. Ifølge det andet syn bliver mennesket ved opstan-delsen befriet fra kødet og får et legeme af et nyt uforgængeligt pneu-matisk stof. Mikkelsen argumenterer indgående for den første opfattelse og påpeger bl.a., at med forståelsen af opstandelseslegement som kød bliver den forvandling, der finder sted, i højere grad kronologisk (fra fortabelse til frelse) end materiel (fra sarks til pneuma). I nummerets sidste bidrag tager Finn Aa. Rønne en lidt underbelyst side af nyere nordisk kirkehistorie op. “Nyevangelismen” er en strøm-ning, som især er kendt fra svenske vækkelsesmiljøer siden 1800-tal-let, og som i Danmark har præget Luthersk Mission og Evangelisk Luthersk Missionsforening. Som inspirator for nyevangelismen næv-nes Carl Oluf Rosenius (1816-1868). Artiklen påviser, hvordan man hos Rosenius finder påvirkning fra såvel den klassiske pietisme som herrnhutismen, og hvordan man kan se en fortsat spænding imellem disse to retninger ned gennem nyevangelismens historie.

Abstract:

Even though the American author H.P. Lovecraft (1890-1937) has been praised as one of the most influential writers of horror literature in the 20th century, his style of writing has occasionally been criticized. Lovecraft was using a writing style based on strict scientific language, where the human condition and existence are irrelevant in the narrative. This includes less focus on character development and more on the importance of atmosphere and environments. I am presenting narratological analyzes of what is often considered to be three of Lovecraft’s “greatest works”: “The Call of Cthulhu”, At the Mountains of Madness, and “The Shadow over Innsmouth.” These analyzes are used to highlight Lovecraft’s science-oriented language and narratological techniques, with the focus of studying what methods Lovecraft was using to give his works and his readers a sense of dread, hopelessness, and an alien atmosphere. I believe that the usage of scientific language creates a sense of authenticity, while the presence of strange alien names and phrases adds to the fantastic atmosphere. My intention with this thesis is to show that these literary techniques are not the product of an amateurish or untalented author, but that it actually fills a purpose, which you got to have in mind in order to understand the dark, fantastic world that he develops in the majority of his fiction. I also believe this is crucial when attempting to understand Lovecraft’s influence and importance in the world of horror literature.

Abstract:

Det litterära reportaget skiljer sig från nyhetsjournalistiken i att det använder en litterär narrativ form för att återge ett verkligt innehåll. Till skillnad från skönlitteratur gör det litterära reportaget ett dokumentärt anspråk som förbinder reportageförfattaren med historien som berättas, och det som berättas måste förutom att vara sant också berättas på ett sätt som hedrar det dokumentära anspråket. Det dokumentära anspråket ger upphov till narrativa begränsningar och i reportage om historiska händelser framträder dessa narrativa begränsningar tydligt eftersom reporterns tidsmässiga och rumsliga belägenhet begränsar möjligheten att införskaffa erfarenheter av den historia som berättas. Den här uppsatsen undersöker de narrativa formbegränsningar som det dokumentära anspråket ger upphov till. Syftet är att genom en narratologisk analys av historiska reportage undersöka de narrativa strategier författarna använder sig av för att dramatisera ett verklighetsbaserat innehåll. Den narratologiska analysen operationaliseras genom att Gérard Genettes narratologiska kategorier appliceras som analytiska kategorier i en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av tio stycken historiska reportage. Analysen visar att de narratologiska begränsningarna framträder tydligt med avseende på kategorierna modus och röst. Medan berättarens möjligheter att laborerar med berättelsens tempus påverkades i mindre utsträckning. För att motverka de narratologiska begränsningarna använder sig författarna av ett antal strategier för att återskapa sinnesintryck. I analysen framkommer också att författarna använder skriftliga källor dels för att skapa mindre distans mellan berättare och historia, men också för att stärka den dokumentära läsupplevelsen.

Syftet är att göra en narratologisk analys av Ett öga rött, för att se hur Khemiri använder maten i berättandet. Mycket av konflikten bygger på mat, exempelvis att huvudpersonen vägrar att äta svensk mat och och kontrasten mellan svensk mat och mat frånmellanöstern. Lösningen på konflikten innehåller också mat, då de olika matkulturerna sammanförs. Den teoretiska grunden är Mieke Bals narratologi samt teorier om hur migranter använder sin och värdlandets mat.

Abstract:

This essays content is about a narratological analysis of “The Mist”, written by Stephen King, with a focus on who, how, and what in relationship with the story. It also contains a deeper analysis on chosen characters and the meaning behind them. The analysis also takes a look on why King has chosen to use them and their specific details. By mainly using Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan and Jimmy Vulovic I manage to find the voice of the story, how it’s told and what it contains. There is a deeper meaning behind the details that King has selected for his story, for example the colors is not randomly chosen but have a point and a deeper sense behind them. The characters all have a meaning, big and small. The three main characters becomes pillars of the story where they give it and eachother balance with the ir significant roles as hero, villain and helper. It also turns out that the extraterrestrial beings are not the biggest threat of the story, the humans are.

Abstract:

This chapter takes up Norman Mailer’s 1979 novel The Executioner’s Song as chronicle of the “modern death penalty” era post-Gregg v. Georgia. Two questions or issues frame my analysis: the relation between narrative structure in general and the death penalty plot; the distinction between execution and suicide. The first issue is explored with the help of narratologists, but especially Walter Benjamin. The second reviews Kant’s argument that “no one can will [capital] punishment” and Derrida’s remarks, contra Kant, on the undecidability of execution and suicide. The chapter concludes with a brief reading of Mailer’s 1964 poem of the same title as his novel and speculates on how these two texts read the recent history of the U.S. death penalty.
