Abstract:

Arshas is described as one of the Asta Mahagada Roga by Acharyas and is also explained as a fourfold treatment such as Bheshaja, Shastra, Kshara and Agni Karma. The Nasa Arshas means Arshas located in the nasal cavity causing nasal obstruction. The predominant Dosha is Kapha and Dushya is Twak, Mamsa and Medho Dhatus. Nasa Arshas can be correlated with nasal polyps. Nasal polyps are non-neoplastic masses of oedematous, prolapsed, pendenculated nasal or sinus mucosa. Nasal polyp is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting about 1-4 of the general population.1 Nasal polyps are fleshy benign growth that develop in the mucosal lining of the nasal passage and paranasal sinuses. Polyps vary in size and having shining pink colour and shaped like tear drops.2,3 The exact etiology remains unclear but it is known to have associations with allergy, asthma, infection, cystic fibrosis and aspirin sensitivity. Abstract We present estimated values for the global elastic parameters (h2, l2) derived from the analysis of Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) data. We analyse SLR data for LAGEOS 1 and LAGEOS 2 and for two low satellites, STARLETTE and STELLA, collected over a period of 2.5 years, from January 1 2005 to July 1 2007, from 18 globally distributed ground stations.
