Abstract Overview of Proposed Research. Head and neck cancers are a deadly cancer that ranks among the six most common cancers worldwide. (American Cancer Society, 2021). Studies have shown greater disease burden among minority populations for head and neck cancer, higher mortality rates and lower oral cancer knowledge, but limited evidence has defined the underlying causes of late stage diagnoses and access to the healthcare system (Suzuki et al, 2019). More specifically, in comparison to the national rates, South Carolina is among the top ten for head and neck cancers (Community Outreach, Ho

Abstract Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) is an EBV-driven epithelial cancer endemic to Southeast Asia, Southern China and the Middle East. Accurate profiling of the gene expression of NPC has been challenging because of its intense inflammatory infiltrate, as well as the 3 - 4mm size of biopsies limiting the amount of available material. Here we present a large cohort of 339 micro-dissected gene expression libraries from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) biopsies from NPC patients treated at the National University Health System, Singapore, as well as healthy controls. Perhaps the best way to understand the Mexican architect and painter Juan O’Gorman is through his self-portrait of 1950 in which he depicts himself in multiple frames corresponding to his different occupations. Juan O’Gorman was born in Mexico City of Irish descent. He graduated in 1927 from the School of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and began his career working as a draughtsman in the studio of Obregón, Tarditi, and Villagrán García (1921–5), and, later on, as an architect for Carlos Obregón Santacilla (1925–8). At a very early age, O’Gorman designed the first
