Abstract. The architectural and historical authenticity of the Al Haouz and Chichaoua provinces is expressed through earth and stone architecture, showcasing a local expertise that has proven its worth over decades. While it may be considered uncomfortable from the perspective of modern architecture, this simple and "archaic" know-how, if it can be described as such, has demonstrated its effectiveness given the region's climatic conditions. This vernacular architecture, characterized by traditional construction techniques and the use of local materials for buildings, is now threatened by sever

Housing is one of the most essential components of life, offering shelter, protection, and comfort, as well as a place to rest. When considering the Sri Lankan housing complexes Millennium city housing complex was highlighted mainly because of the crime incidents that happened inside the housing complex. This research is done to demonstrate and to investigate the application of landscape architecture for security on urban housing complexes based on Millennium city housing complex, using landscape character to reduce outdoor insecurity. The field of nature management is an important component of the national economic complex. The state controls the use of natural resources and the preservation of the environment. Existing environmental problems related to the use of resources are secondary to the priorities of state economic policy. The most disincentive influence on the dynamics of natural resource attraction and environmental protection is exerted by the institutional irregularity of resource use monitoring processes. This is related to the lack of an effective system of natural resource inventories, the inequality of diffe

Grasslands, some of the most important resources of mountain areas, have been and are subject to changes, both in time and in space, under the action of natural and/or anthropogenic factors. In this context, the research aims, in the first stage, to identify and quantify the areas of grasslands subject to changes, both through surface losses and gains, and in the second stage, to establish the general direction of changes, at regional level. As a case study, the area of the Banat Mountains, from southwest Romania, was selected, a very complex area from a physical-geographical and socio-economi

Abstract:
This paper explores how food inequities manifest at a territorial level, and how food territories are experienced, understood, and navigated by stakeholders to address those inequities. We interpret ‘food territory’ as a relational and transcalar concept, connected through geography, culture, history, and governance. We develop our exploration through four empirical cases: (i) the Cerrado, a disputed Brazilian territory that has been framed and reframed as a place for industrial production of global commodities, to the detriment of local communities and nature; (ii) urban agroecology networks

Abstract:
The concept of servitization refers to the trend among manufacturing companies to base their business not only on produced goods, but increasingly on services. This implies expanding the portfolio of value propositions in the market, integrating and linking them in the form of complete solutions. In turn, it implies generating revenue from the provision of services and/or charging for products as if they were services. This study conceptualizes the phenomenon of servitization, presents the state of the art among the Catalan industry (meso-economic perspective) and collects experiences of 8 Cat

The geophysical data sets available for the western Churchill Province have had a bearing on the understanding of its structure, evolution, and metal endowment. New data were acquired and interpreted during the Geo-mapping for Energy and Minerals (GEM) program (2008-2020). Regional, high-resolution aeromagnetic, and targeted gravity and magnetotelluric surveys were collected in GEM, in conjunction with geological mapping projects, in order to provide control on bedrock features beneath widespread glacial overburden and flat-lying sedimentary basins.
