Full textTiivistelmä John Deweyn asema pedagogiikan klassikkona on tunnustettu jo vuosikymmeniä. Myös Deweyn laajempi filosofia on saanut osakseen uutta kiinnostusta. Tämä kiinnostus liittyy sekä vaihtoehtojen hakemiseen analyyttiselle ja mannermaiselle filosofialle että modernin filosofian kartesiolaisten ja transsendentaalisten lähtökohtien naturalistiseen kritiikkiin. Deweyn filosofialle ominainen rekonstruktiivinen lähestymistapa on innoittanut käsillä olevaa tutkimusta. Rekonstruktiivinen lähestymistapa edellyttää filosofisten käsitysten synkronisen ja diakronisen analyysin ohella pragmatistista kritiikkiä, johon liittyy luottamus filosofian voimaan ohjata inhimillisiä käytäntöjä. Pragmatistisen kritiikin mahdollisuus selittää pedagogiikan keskeisen aseman Deweyn filosofiassa. Deweylle kasvatus on laboratorio, joka tarjoaa mahdollisuuden koetella filosofisten käsitysten pragmatistista toimivuutta demokraattisen kulttuurin rakennusaineina. Tämän tutkimuksen temaattisena johtolankana toimii ajatus Deweyn myöhäiskauden naturalistisen pragmatismin soveltuvuudesta oman aikamme taide- ja musiikkikasvatusfilosofiseksi tarkastelutavaksi. Uudemmassa Dewey-tutkimuksessa onkin tuotu esiin Deweyn estetiikkaan ja pedagogiikan välisiä yhtymäkohtia. Tarkasteltaessa Deweyn myöhäiskauden filosofiaa kokonaisuutena, mikä on tämän työn tavoitteena, on lisäksi helppo huomata, että esteettisen kokemuksen käsitteellä on tärkeä asema hänen tiedonfilosofiansa, ontologiansa ja moraalifilosofiansa täydentäjänä. Deweylle inhimillisen eksistenssin ytimessä on kasvuprosessi, jossa kokemuksesta muovataan demokraattista kulttuuria kommunikatiivisessa toiminnassa. Tähän pragmatistiseen merkityksen tuoton prosessiin (ja siihen liittyvään pedagogiseen projektiin) liittyy parhaimmillaan esteettinen ulottuvuus. Kasvu sulkee sisäänsä sekä välineellisiä että välittömästi koettuja momentteja. Taiteen tärkeänä tehtävänä on tuoda esiin kasvuprosessiin liittyviä esteettisiä momentteja osana pragmaattista merkityksen tuottoa. Taide käsittääkin Deweylla kaiken kulttuurisen toiminnan, johon liittyy keinojen ja päämäärien välinen tasapaino. Kasvattavana toimintana taide on means-ends-praksista, keinonsa ja päämääränsä tasapainottavaa yhteiskunnallista käytäntöä, joka pyrkii samanaikaisesti sekä välilliseen että välittömään hyvään. Taidekasvatukselle jäsentyy Deweyn naturalistisessa pragmatismissa kaksi päätehtävää: (1) harjoituttaa esteettisen ilmaisun ja havainnon mahdollisuuksia pragmaattisessa tekemällä oppimisessa ja (2) osoittaa taiteissa kulminoituvia inhimillisen merkityksentuoton paradigmaattisia momentteja. Musiikkikasvatusfilosofeille Deweyn filosofia voi avata uuden kriittisen horisontin, jossa sekä perinteinen esteettinen näkökulma että uudempi praksiaalinen näkökulma voivat kohdata toisensa naturalistisen pragmatismin eksperimentaalisessa viitekehyksessä

Full textAll throughout 2020, the entire world experienced a sanitary crisis, which was controlled through different tactics. In this scenario, we can highlight the work of schools, primarily of the headmasters because of their direct impact in the guidance of teachers, families and students. This research is focused on getting to know their different perspectives because as Uribe states (2007), they are who activate the communication system and who promote an active role in the community. Barragán (2014) highlights that the participation of the headmaster allows us to build a preventive culture. Taking the previous points into consideration, the objective of this research is to know their point of view regarding risk management (RM) inside schools. This is why we worked on a qualitative study which started by interviewing 5 public school directors. The results show us that the definition of risk management is heterogeneous. Likewise, it was identified that RM was highly influenced by societal emotional needs. It was also let to know that as directives their challenge was to find tools that helped the community get motivated, which is connected with declarations that state that the necessities were not limited to material aspects and that it is demanded from the headmaster to address interpersonal relationships. Considering the results, it is fundamental to think that the director’s risk management needs a comprehensive vision that is not only focused on the determination of specific actions associated with the management of materialistic elements.

Full textOne of the concerns that developing countries have mostly is the effect of natural disasters on education. Therefore, the present investigation carries out an analysis of the effect of natural disasters: Frost and floods, on the generation of educational results, measured as a standardized math and language test score. Furthermore, whether the typology of these disasters could imply differentiated results. For this, a random effects model is applied with a panel database available from the Young Lives study. Hence, the study confirms the hypothesis that the natural disasters evaluated influence educational outcomes on the side of household wealth and student health status.

Full textThe aim of this thesis is to show that the comedy Clouds (423 b. C.) by Aristophanes has a heuristic value to the graduation students in Education, i. e., that this play allows a text comparative work in order to form a complex scene of the Athenian education at Aristophanes time. It consists of two parts, the first one shows the play study and its possible relations with the philosophy teaching at Athens and the second one is the report of the work whit graduation students, during two Experimental Course. The methodology used is founded in three cornerstones, the bibliographical research, the textual analysis and the experimental application in class. The conclusive evaluation of this work shows that The Clouds has a highly heuristic character and the use in classrooms has highly satisfactory results.

L'objectiu corresponent a la part de recerca empírica pretén bàsicament explorar a través d'un disseny experimental comparatiu, si l'ús d'un format textual, a partir d'una documentació electrònica en forma de programa hipermedia és més efectiva que una documentació impresa en l'aprenentatge del contingut treballat, la vida i obra de Mario Benedetti, per part d'usuaris novells en el contingut.
Alhora que analitzar com diferents tipologies d'ajudes pedagògiques en format de preguntes de diferent demanda cognitiva (literals, inferencials i metacognitives) inserides en el material hipermedial afavorien un aprenentatge més estratègic de la temàtica.
Es desitjava saber, també, si existien diferencies en el tipus d'estratègies emprades durant l'estudi del mateix i conèixer les percepcions, en quan a les percepcions, en quan a l'atribució de dificultats per resoldre la tasca i la representació gràfica que en fan del mateix.

Full textThis research presents the results of a long-term study. It qualitatively analyses the implementation of an environmental education program for the first cycle of Compulsory Secondary Education in a protected natural area during 24 courses (1988- 1989 to 2011/12). Its objective has been to identify its contribution to a culture connected with nature, using Kellert's taxonomy of values towards nature (1997) as common reference. A cross-sectional analysis of factors identified from the Neill’s system model (2008) is described and analysed. Evaluation processes and interpretation categories are applied to the objectives and tasks of the program as well as the responses of educators and teachers related to student learning. These results are also deepened on a more specific scale, corresponding to the 2003-2004 and 2010-2011 courses, where the responses of educators, teachers, and students are triangulated (group responses, about their perceptions of learning). In the case of the last year, 71% of the students explained their memories about what they had done, learned and felt a year later (2012, individual responses). The results indicate the importance of processes and methods of continuous evaluation on the scale of each day and course to improve practices, establish links between educators and teachers and verify the achievement degree of the objectives. It also demonstrates the relevance of procedures and connecting materials that facilitate work dynamics, the interpretation and empowerment of values related to nature.

Full textProfessional knowledge is epistemologically different from other kinds of knowledge. Students are considered to have built academic discourse when they are able to produce speech based on concrete academic content whereas professional knowledge should enable students to manage situations in professional practice. In this sense, professional knowledge is more demanding than other kinds of knowledge. Our objective was to analyze the nature of professional knowledge and change in professional discourse in the framework of online learning environments. Analyzing the nature of professional discourse helps us understand the characteristics that make it special and that relate to managing situations in professional practice. Analyzing change in professional discourse enables us to know which factors are involved in building professional knowledge and to adjust online learning environments accordingly. This paper describes the results of an analysis of different cases related to the construction of professional knowledge in the educational field. The results we obtained show us that professional discourse built using ICT is structured by a very small fraction of identified topics of professional discourse (less than 5%), furthermore, relevant differences are evidenced depending on the type of learning activity, kind of content and task scenarios conducted (tacit or explicit). Regarding change in professional discourse, students expressed tensions in their conception of practice and interacted as a structured professional community although different characteristics depending on the type of activity, kind of content and task scenarios were observed in all cases.

Resumo : Este trabalho é uma síntese feita a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica de filosofia comparada da educação, desenvolvida sobre dois tipos de pensamento pedagógico, elaborados, respectivamente, por John Locke (1632-1704) e por Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778); nessa pesquisa faz-se uma leitura de suas propostas pedagógicas à luz teórico-metodológica do materialismo histórico-dialético. Procurou-se contextualizar historicamente os dois autores abordados, com o intuito de demonstrar em que medida as rupturas e as permanências geradas pelas contradições nas infraestruturas econômicas das sociedades de suas respectivas épocas interferiram nas superestruturas políticas, filosóficas, intelectuais, religiosas e pedagógicas e, conseqüentemente, em suas trajetórias existenciais e em suas obras. Dividindo-se em três capítulos, no primeiro discorre-se sobre a contextualização histórica dos dois filósofos estudados, passando-se em revista os Séculos XVII e XVIII em seus vários aspectos, assim como nele se faz uma descrição acerca das biografias e das personalidades desses autores; no segundo incumbe-se de abordar os pensamentos lockeano e rousseauniano como um todo, ressaltando-se as principais categorias pelas quais seus autores estruturam e articulam as suas idéias acerca do conhecimento, da política, da religião e da tolerância; no terceiro aborda-se algumas categorias pedagógicas desses pensamentos, as quais, comparadas entre si, têm o intuito de aclarar as convergências entre os seus dois autores, ao mesmo tempo em que se procura ressaltar a influência que este recebe daquele em se tratando de constituir o seu pensamento pedagógico; também nesse capítulo são explicitadas as visões de mundo e de homem nas quais esses autores enquadrar-se-iam, assim como são tratadas outras categorias que permitem vincular os seus pensamentos não apenas entre si, mas sim às classes sociais para as quais suas obras constituem significado
Abstract : This work is a synthesis done from a bibliographical research of compared philosophy of education, developed about two kinds of pedagogical thinking, done, respectively, by John Locke (1632-1704) and Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778); in that research one does a reading of their pedagogical proposals by the theoretical-methodological light of the historical-dialectical materialism. One looked for doing historically a context about the two authors approached, with the aim of showing in what measure the ruptures and the permanencies produced by the contradictions in the economical infrastructure of the societies of their respective eras interfered into the political, philosophical, intellectual, religious and pedagogical superstructures and, consequently, into their existential trajectories and into their works. Being divided into three chapters, in the first one discusses about the historical context of the two philosophers studied, passing on review the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries in their several aspects, as well as in this it is done a description concerning the biographies and personalities of those authors; in the second one undertakes to approach the lockean and rousseaunian thoughts at all, standing out the main categories by which their authors structure and articulate their ideas concerning knowledge, politics, religion and toleration; in the third one approaches some pedagogical categories of those thoughts, that, compared to one another, have the aim of clearing the convergences between their two authors, at the same time on which one looks for standing out the influence that this receives from that in regarding of constructing his pedagogical thinking; also in this chapter are made explicit the visions of world and man into which those two authors would be fitted, as well as are treated others categories that permit to link their thoughts not only each other, but so to the social classes to which their works make meaning

Full textLos estilos de enseñanza manifiestan las preferencias en los modos de enseñar de los docentes, las cuales suponen determinadas concepciones de enseñanza (Heimlich & Norland, 2002). La identificación de los estilos de enseñanza es el punto de partida para reflexionar acerca de las prácticas de enseñanza y la coherencia entre la concepción teórica y el modo concreto de enseñar. El objetivo del presente trabajo es identificar los estilos de enseñanza predominantes en docentes de distintas carrera de nivel superior vinculadas con las ciencias naturales, y analizarlas en relación con la orientación de la carrera. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian la necesidad de reflexionar acerca de las características de la formación docente y sobre la importancia de la integración entre la formación disciplinar y la pedagógica.
Os estilos de ensino manifestam as preferências nos modos de ensinar dos docentes, as quais supõem determinadas concepções do ensino (Heimlich & Norland, 2002). A identificação dos estilos de ensino é o ponto de partida para reflexionar a respeito das práticas de ensino e a coerência entre a concepção teórica e o modo concreto de ensinar. O objectivo do presente trabalho é identificar os estilos de ensino predominantes em docentes de diferentes carreira de nível superior vinculadas com as ciências naturais, e analisá-las em relação à orientação da carreira. Os resultados obtidos evidencian a necessidade de reflexionar a respeito das características da formação docente e sobre a importância da integração entre aformação disciplinar e a pedagógica.

Investigación de tipo aplicativo, cuantitativo y utiliza el diseño descriptivo, explicativo; a través del muestreo aleatorio simple se selecciona una muestra de 308 estudiantes y 167 padres de familia además de los 9 docentes del área de ciencias naturales a quienes se les aplica la técnica de la encuesta y se usa como instrumento el cuestionario estructurado por ítems para recoger los datos proporcionados. El estudio demuestra que no existe influencia directa entre el desempeño profesional docente y la calidad del servicio educativo, lo que significa que se deben mejorar aspectos de infraestructura y monitorear ciertos procesos académicos y administrativos.

Full textEsta investigación analiza la propuesta educativa «Puc tocar?», que el Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona ofrece a grupos escolares de 2 a 6 años, a fin de identificar su valor y aportaciones como vivencia positiva y favorecedora de aprendizaje científico y extraer orientaciones útiles para crear nuevas propuestas de aprendizaje científico para niños y niñas. El texto empieza resaltando los principios básicos que orientan la propuesta: el respeto al niño, la aproximación al conocimiento desde la complejidad, el aprendizaje como cambio en las maneras de entender el mundo o el valor de centrarse en resaltar el patrimonio de la institución de referencia, y justificando el funcionamiento y la organización en base a los principios educativos expuestos. A partir de la observación de los niños y niñas y de las opiniones de las maestras y de las educadoras del museo, y desde una perspectiva metodológica cualitativa, se enfoca la investigación a extraer conclusiones en dos aspectos. Por un lado, se identifican las evidencias que ponen de relieve que la propuesta proporciona una vivencia positiva a los niños y niñas en un clima confortable y estimulante. Por otro, los resultados obtenidos apuntan a que el valor de la propuesta como promotora de aprendizaje científico se centra en proveer a los niños y niñas de experiencia directa con el material natural, favorecer la explicitación de sus ideas y proporcionar abundantes estímulos para iniciar recorridos de aprendizaje que requieren la colaboración desde otros contextos, esencialmente la escuela, para que puedan tener continuidad. Finalmente, se identifican factores inherentes a la propuesta que favorecen su valor global como proveedora de vivencias positivas de aprendizaje científico: el funcionamiento en libre elección, la calidad del material (con especial énfasis en el material natural), las características de las micropropuestas y el papel atento, receptivo y respetuoso del adulto.
This research analyses the education proposal “Can I Touch?, which the Natural Sciences Museum of Barcelona offers to school groups for students with ages between 2 to 6 years old. The intention is to identify its value and contribution as a positive and stimulating experience for learning science and also to suggest useful ideas to create new learning proposals for the scientific education of children. The text begins by emphasizing the basic principles which the proposal is oriented to: the respect shown towards the child, the approach towards knowledge by taking into account its complexity, the process of learning as means of changing the way in which the world is interpreted or the relevance of the institution’s heritage which is the reference of this particular education proposal. Finally, the functioning and organization of the proposal is justified by the education principles presented above. This research is focused upon the observation of children and upon the viewpoints of both teachers and museum educators. From the perspective of this qualitative methodology, the research seeks to reach conclusions in two directions. On the one hand, some evidence has been identified which shows the positive experience of children resulting from being in a comfortable and stimulating space. On the other hand, the results obtained point towards the fact that the value of the scientific knowledge of the proposal is based on offering children direct contact with the natural material, on encouraging the children to express their ideas and on providing various stimuli to create new itineraries of knowledge which will require the collaboration of other contexts —such as the school— so that these learning processes may be developed further. Finally, some factors inherent in the proposal are identified, particularly those that favor the global value of the proposal by providing positive learning experiences of science: the free-choice approach, the quality of the material (with a special emphasis upon the natural material), the characteristics of the microproposals, and the watchful, receptive and respectful role of the adult.

Percibe cómo se desarrolla la preservación y protección de los pantanos naturales del sector Tingana, distrito de Moyobamba, provincia de Moyobamba, departamento de San Martín, Perú – 2014. La preservación y protección de nuestro medio ambiente es actualmente uno de los temas más preocupantes, puesto que involucra el cuidado de los recursos naturales. El propósito de coadyuvar en el cuidado de nuestro ecosistema, desde el ámbito educativo, fue punto clave para realizar este trabajo que desea conocer la situación de los pantanos naturales de Tingana, especialmente de ADECAR, en el distrito de Moyobamba, región de San Martín, y a su vez, desarrollar una propuesta de capacitación. Es una investigación descriptiva de enfoque cualitativo de temporalidad transversal, no experimental. Se cuenta con la participación de 17 pobladores, quienes brindan información veraz de la realidad de Tingana. Para el recojo de información se utiliza un cuestionario con 27 items. La información es trabajada con Microsoft Excel para las tablas de frecuencia y los porcentajes. Con el análisis de datos, se conoce que existe una conciencia ambiental en Tingana, pero sus pobladores consideran que las autoridades locales deben involucrarse más y sobretodo las personas externas deben ayudar en su cuidado. Por ello, es necesario incrementar estrategias de promoción de la preservación de Tingana.

Pues bien, con el terremoto esa necesidad de seguridad se hizo más grande en la población afectada ya que fue vulnerada de tal manera que buscan la forma de que no suceda nuevamente y con cada pequeña replica el pánico y temor se apodera de muchos de los afectados, en los niños es particularmente difícil porque generalmente traerá repercusiones en el futuro, quizás en futuros traumas o maneras de afrontar los desafíos que tengan en su vida.

Full textIn this dissertation in historical sociology, I analyze gender relations and the construction of women’s intellectual legitimacy in the French social sciences between 1890 and 1940. To that end, I study the social positions, the intellectual productions, and the reception of women in the main social science periodicals leaning towards sociology and anthropology. The pivotal point of my demonstration is women’s university enrolment and graduation. The first part of my dissertation is about women lacking a university diploma that nevertheless played a role in the social sciences before 1914, mainly through participating in the reformist circle of influence or by being involved in feminine and feminist groups. The “legitimate feminine figures”, i.e. women whose works did not fuel any kind of controversy, are in the most heteronomous parts of the field of study, in which issues about the reformist practice prevail over issues about knowledge. On the other hand, the “figures of transgression”, i.e. women lacking a diploma but pretending to participate in social empirical and theoretical knowledge, provoke negative reactions that, in turn, relegate their heterodox feminist analyzes to the political field. After 1914 and until 1940, the amount of women and of feminine works in periodicals and French social science groups decreased, and women with a university diploma replaced those lacking one. The gender-differentiated processes of evaluation, which contributed to reformulate the antinomy between intellectual competence and femininity, adapted itself to the fact that women had access to university diploma. On the one hand, the majority of newly graduated women heads and is directed towards new social professions (mainly social work) and teaching. Both professions promote competences traditionally associated with women, and construct the latter’s professional identities as disjoint from intellectual, and mainly theoretical, activities. On the other hand, the only graduated women aspiring to stay within the field of the social sciences, and who succeeded before 1940 in gaining a relative recognition for their competence, pursued empirical research, accomplished their work in accredited institutions, took on problems and perspectives sanctioned by the expert community, and did not play the role of feminist activists.

Full textThe main goal of this study is to know the conceptions and practices of teaching and research of university professors, in order to understand how to relate these conceptions and practices in the science teaching at the University. The methodological focus of this research is qualitative-phenomenological and the case study was used as a methodological approach. The instrumental cases were three professors of biology of the University of Barcelona, with extensive experience in university teaching, conducting research and integrate consolidated research teams. The collection of information was carried out during three academic semesters, using the non-participant observation of classes, informal conversations, interviews in-depth and analysis of documents. The main conclusions in this study were that the conceptions of university professors, is associated with a systemic view, holistic and relational to nature of science. Didactic conceptions of university professors is largely constructivist since according to themselves, the students have a number of concepts and experiences that are necessary to know and take into consideration, when explaining the contents in science lessons. Also for professors, it is important to select and sequence content at the time to explain to their students. The teaching practices of university professors were theoretical or practical and used strategies such as metaphors, questions, comparisons, anecdotes, examples, recaps, screenshots and other, allowing to transform ideas and scientific concepts, making them understandable for their students. We also delve into the link between research and teaching, demonstrating how university professors moved elements from their own research toward the teaching, or from teaching to their research, involving to their students or their research teams in a bidirectional or unidirectional relationship of this link. We think that is appropriated to highlight that this research opens up new questions about deeper understanding of this link, through observation of the scientific practices of the professors at the university.

La metodología está basada en un enfoque cualitativo de diseño no experimental y de tipo descriptivo-propositivo puesto que concluirá con una propuesta enfocada en la educación ambiental sobre la conservación del Bosque de Pailayco. La muestra está conformada por 15 pobladores de la Asociación de Conservación Ecológica Comunal los Bosques de Pailayco. Se realiza una propuesta en la que se hace hincapié en promover las capacitaciones y talleres dirigidos a los pobladores con la finalidad de educarlos y construir una conciencia ambiental más sólida que sea de beneficio para el medio que les rodea. Una de las principales conclusiones a la que se llega es que la educación ambiental de los pobladores del distrito de Picota es medianamente adecuada ya que actualmente existen socios y asociaciones que les brindan capacitaciones e información sobre la importancia de la conservación de recursos naturales especialmente del Bosque de Pailayco. A pesar de ello aún existen pobladores de la misma comunidad y de otras comunidades que realizan tala de árboles y caza de animales.

Full textThe objective of this thesis is to characterize the values emphasized by the students of the V primary cycle of a public educational institution in Lima, Peru and as specific objectives, to identify the values through the model of the clarification of values; and, classify the values based on the methodology of Miles and Huberman (1994);Wolcott (1994). The methodology used is of a qualitative, descriptive approach. This study was possible thanks to pre-professional practices and the close relationship established with children throughout the year 2020, a first approach to their world of values was sought in the midst of a pandemic. It is obtained as conclusions that boys and girls are very aware of the reality in which they live, with strong social and emotional values, with a social responsibility and appreciation of humane treatment that demonstrates a critical posture, an attitude of commitment and being defenders life, not only with their fellow men, but also with all living beings, nature, animals and the space in which they live. It is considered convenient to continue with qualitative studies that contribute to the research, especially in primary school children.

Full textThis study explores preservice teachers’ challenges to achieve the required skills to put Model-Centred Instruction (MCI) into practice. To this end: (i) specific MCI for preservice primary university courses has been designed and performed; (ii) a total amount of 71 lesson plan designs done prior; through and at the end of instruction have been compared. A new instrument for data analysis has been established. This instrument pretends to deepen the teaching-learning process through time while making reference to specific aspects of the content and taking the join activity as a reference. Findings indicate significant pedagogical gains related to the exploration of students’ prior models and the collection of data/evidence within inquiry activities. Specific constraints for the adequate acquisition of MCI have been identified. Based on these results, areas of focus to improve teacher education have been suggested.

Full textThis research analyzes the learning and teaching of scientific procedures in the biology and geology fields, at the Compulsory Secondary Education level of the LOGSE curriculum.The instruments used to collect information are questionnaires for students, learning activities from the textbooks used in the program outline of this field, and interviews with teachers.The results show that neither the teaching nor the learning of the scientific procedures studied correspond with the educational needs of students finishing secondary education. After analyzing the difficulties students have in relation to the learning of the program outline, and their possible causes, we suggest some educational alternatives for improving the students' education concerning researching skills

Full textThis thesis deals with natural and policy experiments affecting the life course of parents and children. It also deals with the limitations of using such experiments for causal inference. The first paper “A non-linear Assessment of Preschool Effects” looks at the assignment of different pre-school programs to Danish children. It is found that previous results finding weak effects hold up, but that boys and girls show surprisingly different nonlinear effects. The second paper “Rusty Instruments?” shows that the standard approach to estimating the effects of children on labour market outcomes, by looking at twinning suffers from biases, stemming from different subsequent fertility behaviour of twinning and non-twinnning mothers. The last paper “Child Gender and its Effects on Parental Labor Market Participation” shows that the effects of child gender on parental labour market participation are robust to controlling for factors influencing child gender.

The focus of this article is on the Jeau - Jacques Rousseau''s (1712 - 1778) naturalism concept and physical education theory as well as their influences on contemporary school physical education system. Research was done on analysis of Rousseau''s writings and related literatures in order to understand the cores, features, origination and development of Rousseau''s naturalism concepts and physical education theory. The final conclusions obtained were: A. The origination of Rousseau''s naturalism theory: 1.was influenced by the social scene at that time, experiences, and personal traits of Rousseau. As social scene is concerned, the hierarchy dominated the political and social systems when Rousseau was alive; the education opportunities were restricted to privileged groups, not equally shared by the public; hypocrisy, formalism and dishonors were prevalent in moral, civic, and religous systems as well as interpersonal interactions. 2.The education theories of the philosophers John Locke and Plato and their influences 3.The influence of Rousseau''s interpretations on naturalism 4.The influence of Rousseau''s thoughts on core of naturalism, including his "good human nature" perspective, insistence on good interactions of the natural and education, and emphasis on the importance of freedoms and equality in social and political systems. Full textMoral education is a central aspect of the virtue ethics of Aristotelian tradition. Many authors are attached to the idea that a good ethical theory should inform us about how to form better moral agents. The ethicists of virtue consider that it is through an education of character that virtuous agents can be fashioned. But is such an education really possible? And if it is, what does it consist of? This thesis aims to answer these questions by exploring the horizons of the theory of virtues, horizons that now exceed the limits of philosophy. By first questioning moral naturalism in the theory of virtues, liberal naturalism is retained as the most realistic metaethical position for the future of the theory. It must take into account scientific advances, particularly in social psychology, if it wishes to achieve its educational objectives. To follow this approach, the central characteristics of the concept of virtue are identified and then tested by the situationist critique of virtues. According to the situationism, many empirical studies would show that the moral behaviors of the agents are determined by circumstantial and arbitrary factors. Therefore, a central feature of the theory, the robustness of virtues, is abandoned. This abandonment, however, does not mark the end of the theory of virtues: it is then oriented towards moral education where it remains relevant thanks to the literature on expertise and emotional intelligence. This theoretical and empirical framework makes it possible to give a solid foundation for the education of virtues. Some difficulties remain in implementing concrete curricula for the education of virtues in schools. For the future, researchers will have to take up the challenges of the school environment and the measurement of virtues.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to explore Rousseau's naturalist philosophy of education in the current Taiwan society. First of all, by understanding the background of Rousseau's life and his work to understand the naturalistic education of the claims are as follows: Point one, the elimination of formalism, correct all text decoration. Point two, the idea of relaxation education, that conform to the nature of children is the best education. Point three, advocate physical education. Point four, respect for the value of children. That is, parents follow the laws of nature, so that children from the real life experiences, the free development of the child's interest-based natural parenting. Secondly, by deconstructing the way and view of parenting in the current Taiwan society, we find that the root of the parenting problem in Taiwan society lies in the "parent-centered" mode of parenting. Each child is born with different innate qualities, modern parents should be open mind, honest face of the natural revelation, "child-based" to develop the child's breadth and depth of life, to help them "naturally inspired" self-Potential, but also to help the positive development of parent-child relationship. Although the current method of parenting in Taiwan society is deeply influenced by traditional Chinese Confucian education and emphasizes intellectual education and functionalism, Rousseau's natural education viewpoint would enlighten modern parents to cultivate their children, which is parent’s modeling and practice, and to help parents grow and enhance their parents have a correct understanding of their children. Finally, to help children with the appropriate development and growth, to achieve the specific effect of parenting education.

Las mismas se llevaron a cabo en dos primeros años, del Ciclo Básico de educación secundaria, en una institución secundaria de gestión estatal de la Ciudad de Córdoba. En primer lugar, se presenta una descripción sobre la institución y las aulas, así como una breve caracterización del vínculo docente-conocimiento-estudiantes de la clase. A continuación, la propuesta de práctica y algunos aspectos de su implementación son presentados, centrados en el abordaje de la divisibilidad en el conjunto de los números naturales, e incorporando la resolución de problemas en el aula de matemática. La perspectiva de los estudiantes de primer año en torno a su experiencia con la resolución de problemas es analizada como problemática a partir de un marco teórico particular. Finalmente, se expone la reflexión de lo acontecido a lo largo de esta experiencia a modo de cierre.
This final report describes and analyzes apre-service teaching experience of two prospective teachers of a teacher education program from the Faculty of Mathematics, Astronomy, Physics and Computing Sciences, National University of Córdoba. This experience was carried out in two classes of first year course of Secondary School at a state institution on the City of Córdoba. This reports starts off by presenting a description of the institution and the classrooms, as well as a brief explanation of the teacher-knowledge-student relationship of this classes. Next, the teaching plans and some aspects of its implementation, focusing on the divisibility of natural numbers, are developed, with the addition of problem solving approach.The students ́ perspectives on their problem solving activities became a topic of analysis with the help of a theoretical framework. Finally, some thoughts about what happened along the experience is exposed.
