Abstract:

RICOGNIZIONE E SCAVO DEL SITO NEOLITICO DI SAN MARCO, GUBBIO (PERUGIA), UMBRIA, 1985–7La ricognizione e lo scavo dell'insediamento di San Marco rappresenta uno dei pochi esempi di studio interdisciplinare compiuti nell'Italia centrale e riguardante un sito neolitico. Sono stati studiati in maniera approfondita i vari aspetti geologici ed ambientali del sito, collocato su un conoide alluvionale. Sono state inoltre ottenute date al 14C, eseguite con l'AMS direttamente su materiali organici associati con la sussistenza umana, che hanno permesso di attribuire il sito ad una prima fase dell'età neolitica (fine del sesto-inizio del quinto millennio a.C, date calibrate). L'industria litica mostra una chiara continuità con la precedente tecnologia epipaleolitica, mentre le ceramiche rinvenute possono essere attribuite alle correnti stilistiche della Ceramica Impressa e a quella di Sasso-Fiorano. Le analisi dei prodotti di sussistenza (fauna e resti botanici) rivelano un'economia basata principalmente sull'agricoltura, integrata a sua volta con prodotti ottenuti tramite attività di caccia e raccolta.

Abstract:

We know that in ancient times, people were sky watchers, made observations, drew conclusions, and their vision of Universe reflected the sky (macrocosm) into the ground (microcosm) and vice versa. Investigating deeply some symbols and signs from the Neolithic period, we find that the knowledge about the sky that some people had in the past represents much more than we’ve known so far. In this incursion into the Neolithic world, we will study two objects discovered in the tombs of the priestesses of Mostonga and Tărtăria.

Cílem studie je zmapovat nosné trendy v medicínské antropologii a postihnout její biokulturní charakter. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována vztahu medicínské antropologie a antropologie smrti v kontextu umírání a postoje k lidské smrti. Studie analyzuje výzkumný potenciál medicínské antropologie jak z mezikulturní, tak evoluční perspektivy s důrazem na proměny lidského těla v období neolitické revoluce.

Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejarah Situs Goa Kampret di Desa Bukit Lawang, serta memanfaatkan Situs Goa Kampret sebagai sumber belajar sejarah bagi siswa SMA sesuai Kurikulum 2013. Untuk memperoleh data-data tersebut, maka peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, LKS, observasi, studi pustaka, wawancara yang berkaitan dengan objek penelitian/judul skripsi. Dari hasil penelitian yang peneliti lakukan Situs Goa Kampret merupakan peninggalan dari aktifitas manusia pada zaman praaksara yaitu pada periode masa mesolitikum sampai ke neolitikum. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan ditemukannya artefak yang menunjukkan ciri budaya mesolitik (kapak batu) sampai kepada ciri budaya neolitik (gerabah). Selain itu sebaran situs ini diindikasikan berbudaya Hoabinh.Kata kunci : Situs Goa Kampret, sumber belajar sejarah

Muhi községtől keletre, Nyékládháza felé óriási kavicsbányák sorakoznak, amelyek közül jónéhány már átalakult kedvelt és kiépített üdülőhellyé. A közelmúltban azonban újabb kavicskitermelő helyeket nyitottak, és így került sor a Muhi–III. kavicsbánya lelőhely 2019. évi feltárására. A több hónapos ásatás leletanya¬gának mosása, restaurálása jelenleg is zajlik, így a teljes feldolgozásig egy rövid áttekintést tudunk felvá¬zolni az ott előkerült fontos és érdekes leletekről. A feltárt jelenségek több korszakot is érintenek (középső neolitikum, késő bronzkor, kora vaskor), de a legjelentősebbek a késő bronzkori objektumok. Ezek alapján egy intenzíven lakott, a távolsági kereskedelemben is résztvevő települést ismerhetünk meg, amely több nagy európai kulturális zóna határán elhelyezkedik el. Mindezek a hatások megjelennek az anyagi kultúra különböző elemeinél. A nagy mennyiségű, változatos formavilágú fém- és kerámiaanyag az úgynevezett pre-Gáva időszakra keltezhető, különösen a néhány kiemelt objektum (urnasír, edénydepók) leletanyaga alapján, és így újabb adalékkal szolgálhat a Sajó-Hernád-sík késő bronzkori történetéhez.

Abstract:

Issues of the origins and development of pottery are actualized through a study of new Early Neolithic forest-steppe and taiga sites in Western Siberia. The fl at-bottomed and roundbottomed Neolithic dishes found in Western Siberia are similar in shape and ornamentation. They seem to be a continuation of an earlier ceramic tradition that was introduced into the region. Based upon the radiocarbon dates, those dishes appeared in West Siberia within the 7th millennium BC. We adhere to the opinion that the local population borrowed ceramic production from migrants and believe that imitation of structural parts of birch bark containers in ceramic vessels was important for the formation of West Siberian pottery. For example, such sculptured elements as ledges, drips, and moldings on the outer and inner sides of the rims of ceramic vessels can be correlated to the bands on birch bark dishes and their fastening elements. In our opinion, sculptured elements on ceramic dishes gradually transformed into semantic elements: wavy lines (zigzags) on the drips on the inner side of the rim not only refer to a band attached to the vessel but apparently represent water (waves) as the contents of the vessel

Abstract:

Dlouhá tradice zhotovování plastik nahých žen (badárské neolitické postavy, plačky, „panenky“, „souložnice zemřelého“, sošky žen sloužící jako ex voto) z různých materiálů vyústila v Egyptě v raném 7. – pozdním 10. století n. l. k vytváření velmi stylizovaných figurek nahých žen. Jde o koptská hlazená kostěná řezbářská díla obvykle zachycující schematicky a přísně geometricky pojednaná obdélníková ženská těla. Všechny anatomické detaily jsou vyznačeny hlubokými rovnými zářezy. Nohy od sebe odděluje svislý zářez, přičemž jejich spodní část vymezuje vodorovné seříznutí. Dva kostěné idoly plodnosti neznámého původu jsou uloženy v české soukromé sbírce. Jeden idol (obr. 7) datujeme do 9.–10. století, druhý (obr. 8) do 8.–9. století. Oba představují názornou ukázku koptského lidového kostěného řezbářského umění. To později dosáhlo svého vrcholu ve fátimovském dekorativním umění 11. a 12. století.

Abstract:

Vorganjska peć važno je prapovijesno pećinsko nalazište smješteno na padini brda Organ iznad Batomlja kraj Baške na otoku Krku. Sredinom 20. stoljeća ovo, kao i druga pećinska nalazišta na kvarnerskim otocima, počinje istraživati Vladimir Mirosavljević. Zahvaljujući rezultatima njegovih istraživanja Vorganjska peć, zajedno s Jami na Sredi na otoku Cresu te Velom špiljom na otoku Lošinju, postaje značajan izvor podataka o neolitiku Kvarnera i time neizostavni dio rasprava o tome razdoblju na istočnojadranskoj obali. Kako istraživanja nikad nisu u cijelosti objavljena, revizijsko arheološko iskopavanje provedeno je kao provjera davno prikupljenih podataka o načinima korištenja špilje tijekom prapovijesti. Rezultati istraživanja dali su uvid u stratigrafski slijed intaktnih prapovijesnih arheoloških depozita s nalazima koji pripadaju razdoblju ranoga i srednjega neolitika. Analiza stratifikacije i prikupljenih pokretnih arheoloških nalaza doprinosi širenju uvida u kompleksne mehanizme procesa neolitizacije istočnoga Jadrana te govori o nedvojbenom informativnom i interpretativnom značenju ovoga nalazišta za razmatranja problematike sjevernojadranskoga neolitika

Abstract:

Špilja Mala (Nova) pećina smještena je u planinskome području dalmatinskoga zaleđu koje predstavlja dodirnu zonu između istočne jadranske obale i unutrašnjosti. U arheološkim iskopavanjima u Maloj pećini istražen je rano- i kasnoneolitički špiljski lokalitet koji bi mogao biti ključan za bolje razumijevanje odnosa između obalnih zajednica te onih smještenih u zapadnobalkanskoj unutrašnjosti. U članku će biti predstavljeni nalazi i kontekstualni podaci prikupljeni u istraživanju iz 2016. godine, kao i rezultati njihove obrade provedene 2017. godine, koji uključuju keramičke i litičke nalaze te zooarheološke i arheobotaničke analize. Preliminarni dokazi ukazuju da špilja nije korištena kao nastamba duži vremenski period, već kao privremeno sklonište od strane zajednica koje su se kretale kroz okolne planine ili onih koje su posjećivale špilju u sklopu kratkotrajnih aktivnosti. Iskopavanja su također ukazala na moguću razliku u korištenju špilje u ranome neolitiku s tragovima naseobinskih, ali i potencijalnih ritualnih aktivnosti, u odnosu na kasni neolitik s isključivo pastoralnom funkcijom. Mala pećina je stoga iznimno važna za bolje razumijevanje odnosa između obale i zaleđa u razdoblju neolitika.

NUOVE RICOGNIZIONI AEREE IN PUGLIAGrazie alle fotografie scattate dalla Royal Air Force durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale nell'area del Tavoliere, in Puglia, fu registrata la presenza di tracce nelle piante coltivate dalle quali sono state ottenute un gran numero di informazioni di tipo archeologico. Ulteriori voli compiuti nel 1987 e nel 1989 dal Oberstleutnant O. Braasch, accompagnato sia dall'Autore che da altri, hanno dimostrato come ancora sia possibile utilizzare tale tecnica per l'individuazione di antiche tracce nelle piante coltivate, sempre in Puglia, nonostante i danni procurati fino ad oggi dai lavori agricoli eseguiti a partire dal periodo successivo alla guerra. Quest'articolo fornisce una serie di brevi informazioni circa 70 villaggi trincerati di tipo Neolitico osservati nel Tavoliere e nelle sue vicinanze, oltre che di altri 11 villaggi trincerati individuati più a Sud, vicino ad Altamura e a Matera. I siti di epoca romana individuati nel Tavoliere comprendono i resti di centuriazione oltre che dettagliate tracce appartenenti ad una villa e di trincee vicine a questa, scavate quasi sicuramente quando furono piantate delle viti. L'articolo considera la frequenza delle tracce nelle piante coltivate nell'Italia meridionale orientale e le loro relazioni con i terreni locali. Poiché tali tracce compaiono quasi esclusivamente su terreni particolarmente favorevoli, viene enfatizzata la necessità di prendere in considerazione anche le evidenze di carattere geologico e pedologico di una regione nei casi in cui venga studiata la distribuzione di siti individuati unicamente attraverso tracce nelle piante coltivate.

CACCIA E ALLEVAMENTO NELL'ITALIA PREISTORICA: CAMBIAMENTI DI PROSPETTIVA SUL TERRITORIO E SULLA SOCIETÀQuest'articolo riassume come due decadi di ricerca sull'Italia preistorica abbiano cambiato la nostra comprensione della natura degli antichi sistemi di caccia e di allevamento, della transizione dall'uno all'altro sistema, dei territori che queste attività hanno aiutato a creare e delle società di cui esse facevano parte. Per quanto riguarda la preistoria più antica, è ora più chiaro che per un lungo periodo l'umanità dell'epoca si fosse basata su un sistema di ‘scavenging’, vale a dire di nutrimento basato sull'utilizzo di carogne di animali morti. La variabilità dei sistemi di caccia che funsero da complemento allo ‘scavenging’, e che infine lo sostituirono, si è andata anch'essa man mano chiarendo. L'evidenza di un protaersi del processo di transizione nell'Olocene dalla caccia, pesca e raccolta all'agricoltura si è andata accumulando in maniera ancora più evidente, sebbene i motivi di questa transizione ci rimangono oscuri. Le società agricole del tardo neolitico furono sempre più caratterizzate da competizione sociale, in particolare tra gli uomini, mentre il commercio a lunga distanza e gli elementi rituali fmirono con lo svolgere un ruolo sempre più importante nei meccanismi di riproduzione sociale. L'età del rame vide un incremento nella specializzazione agricola e nella produzione artigianale mentre famiglie rivali erano in competizione per il controllo delle risorse. La prima parte dell'età del bronzo rappresenta un periodo di espansione degli insediamenti e di intensificazione della sussistenza, ma probabilmente anche di frammentazione sociale. Nel tardo bronzo e nell'età del ferro alcune regioni divennero centri significativi di poteri locali, nonchè il fulcro di reti di scambi locali e regionali di prodotti agrieoli e artigianali che sostenevano la struttura di queste società attraverso il mantenimento di debiti ed altri vincoli.

Abstract:

The article aims to present the results of the analysis of eight Neolithic ceramic figurines from the Lengyel culture settlement Těšetice-Kyjovice – Sutny, Czech Republic. We indicated the possibilities for acquiring analytical data, although destructive methods were unacceptable. We included methods neglected to date, but widely available in the common archaeological laboratory. Information on the composition of the ceramic matrix, the provenance of inclusions, the techniques used for shaping, firing, operating and discarding are all of key importance for advancing the discussion on the nterpretational potential of ceramic anthropomorphic figurines from typological and religionist discourses to analytically-focused discussions supported by hard data. Two serious factors have thus far prevented the widespread use of analytical methods: the destructive nature of the evidential analyses, which is contradictory to heritage protection and general awareness of the value and rarity of such finds. The second factor relates to the prohibitive cost of analyses when applied to a statistically robust number of samples. On the other hand, in the absence of broad mapping of measurable data, we will remain dependent on only individually published analyses of isolated samples, typically from a different culture, period or geographical territory. We believe the use of non- and semi-destructive methods offers a solution. With the aim of achieving the lowest destructive impact, we conducted an analysis of eight ceramic figurines by use-wear analysis, high resolution 3D analysis, portable-X-ray fluorescence (p-XRF) measurements and microscopy of polished sections.

A Cikolai-vízrendszer vízgyűjtőterülete — szórványos neolitikus (vonaldíszes) megtelepedés után — először a bronzkorban (kb. 2600-900/800 cal BC) népesült be intenzíven, amikor a löszvonulat meredek peremén megjelentek a vatyai kultúra (kb. 2000/1900-1500 cal BC) lelőhelyei. A vizsgálatba vont lelőhely (Forrás-dűlő) a vatyai kultúra eddig ismert több mint 50 erődített telepe közé sorolható (Kovács, 1984). Ellentétben a ma már intenzív mezőgazdasági művelés alatt álló nagy kiterjedésű teleptől, az övárokkal mesterségesen elszigetelt ún. kisvár rész talajtani és geoarchaeológiai jellegzetességei máig érintetlenek, ezáltal alkalmas a terület arra, hogy régészetileg releváns, de környezettörténetileg is fontos talajtani kérdésekre adjunk választ. A földvár ún. kisvár részét térképező talajtani/sekélyföldtani fúrásokkal tártuk fel. A PK07-es fúróponton felvett sekélyföldtani szelvény folyamatos mintasorozatán laboratóriumi méréseket (összes szerves-szén, TOC%; összes foszfortartalom, Pösszes; pH [H2O, KCl], CaCO3%, KA), valamint radiokarbon kormeghatározást (AMS 14C) végeztünk.A térképező talajfúrásokkal sikerült mind vertikálisan, mind horizontálisan meghatározni a bronzkori megtelepedési kultúrréteg kiterjedését, valamint a felszíni talajképződmények alapján recens felszíni bolygatásra következtetnünk. A kiszerkesztett kereszt- és hossz-szelvények segítségével láthatóvá vált, hogy a terület külső, kitettebb, és a központi térrésznél meredekebb, kerületén a felhagyás utáni felszínfejlődési folyamatok erodálták az egykori járószintet, illetve az arra települő kultúrréteget. A kisvár központi területén ugyanakkor bolygatatlan állapotban tudtuk feltárni a bronzkori megtelepedési réteget. A földvár rétegrendje négy jól elkülönülő egységre osztható: a recens talajtakaró, illetve annak talajképző alapkőzete; a megtelepedési kultúrréteg; valamint az eredeti alapkőzet. A PK07-es fúróponton 350 cm mély fúrómagján végzett laboratóriumi mérésekkel pontosítottuk a felszíni talajképződmény besorolását, valamint megadtuk a teljes rétegrend talajtani alapadatait. Ennek fényében a felszíni talajtakarót kilúgzott mezőségi talajként határoztuk meg. Az eltemetett megtelepedési kultúrréteg morfológiai és talajfizikai, valamint -kémiai adatai egyértelműen alátámasztották az egykori intenzív bolygatással járó felszínhasználatot. A kultúrréteg anyagán végzett főkomponens elemzés eredményei arra engedtek következtetni, hogy az egységes képet mutató kultúrréteg 190 és 250 cm közötti rétege kevésbé erős, míg a felső 130 és 190 cm közötti rétege intenzívebb emberi bolygatásnak lehetett kitéve.A kultúrrétegből feltárt szervesanyag-maradványokon végzett radiokarbon kormeghatározással a bronzkori megtelepedés és intenzív területhasználat időpontját 1920-1530 cal BC-re lehetett keltezni.A lelőhelyen végzett vizsgálatok alapján valószínűsíthető, hogy a hasonló típusú lelőhelyeket — amelyeket a kutatás stratigráfiai adatok hiányában korábban „pszeudó-tellként” értelmezett (KOVÁCS, 1969; BÓNA, 1975) — nemcsak gazdasági és társadalmi szerepük alapján (Gogâltan, 2002; P. Fischl & Reményi, 2013; Reményi, 2013), de rétegsoruk alapján is valódi, többrétegű tell településként értékelhetjük.

Abstract:

Purpose. The study of the Paleolithic in Vietnam was undertaken by French geologists in the early 20th century. During the first quarter of the century, they studied Neolithic cultures of Hoa Binh and Bac Son. In the 1960s, the study of the Paleolithic was conducted by Vietnamese archaeologists. They discovered a more ancient culture of the late Paleolithic, the Son Vi (or Sonvian) Culture. Despite the discoveries made, the issues of the origin of these cultures, their development and continuity are still disputable. In this respect, excavating Con Moong Cave in the central province of Thanh Hoa, which is a multilayer cave and a unique archaeological complex belonging to the era of the final Pleistocene – early Holocene, provides us with the most valuable material on the development of ancient Vietnamese. Results. According to the results of excavations, as well as subsequent studies of the Russian-Vietnamese expedition in 2010–2014, there were three main cultural and chronological periods identified in the cave. The deposits reflecting the earliest period, such as choppers and animal bones with traces of processing, belong to the Son Vi culture and date back to the Paleolithic time. C14-dates obtained from several shells indicate the period from 11 000 to 15 300 years ago. The second cultural unit contains almond-shaped and disc-shaped Sumatra-type tools, short and long axes, bone tips and scraped shells, which are characteristic of the Hoa Binh culture. This layer contains graves with stone tools, oyster shells and ochre and is dated 9 300 to 12 000 years ago. The deposits of the third cultural layer contain stone tools typical for the late paleolitic Hoabinhian and early neolitic Bacsonian sites. C14-dates from the third cultural period belong to the range from 8 500 to 9 200 years ago. Along with the radiocarbon dating method used, palynological analysis, fauna remains analysis and analysis of the anthropological material were carried out. Conclusion. Based on C14 dates, it is assumed that the residents Con Moong cave lived there for 8 000 years, from 16 000 to 8 000 years ago. At the moment, the earliest deposits found are artifacts of the Son Vi culture, which belongs to the upper Paleolithic period. They are followed by the materials of the early Hoabinhian and Bacsonian cultures.
