Vitamin D ima antiproliferativno, proapoptotsko i prodiferencijaciono dejstvo. Dokazi o dejstvu na ćelije adenokarcinoma prostate su malobrojni i nekonzistentni. Cilj ispitivanja je određivanje stepena povezanosti između nivoa vitamina D, stadijuma adenokarcinoma prostate, prostata specifičnog antigena, Gleason grade i progresije oboljenja. Ispitivanje je prospektivno, sprovedeno na 120 ispitanika (90 pacijenata sa dijagnostikovanim karcinomom prostate i 30 kontrolnih, zdravih subjekata). Pacijenti sa dijagnostikovanim adenokarcinomom prostate podeljeni su prema stadijumu bolesti u dve grupe:

Karcinomi pluća su najčešći uzrok oboljevanja i umiranja od malignih tumora u Svetu. Neodjuvantna terapija kod bolesnika sa lokalno uznapredovalim (IIIA-IIIB) karcinomom pluća i zahvaćenim N2 limfnim čvorovima jedan je od modusa multimodalnog lečenja bolesnika sa nemikrocelularnim karcinomima pluća (NSCLC) u cilju poboljšanja ishoda njihovog lečenja. Uprkos postojanju dijagnostičkih procedura za ranu dijagnostiku, sprovođenju preventivnog skrining programa, te dugom preinvazivnom periodu u kojem je moguće izvršiti detekciju, karcinom grlića materice i dalje predstavlja jedan od vodećih zdravstvenih problema, imajući u vidu činjenicu da je uzrok obolevanja i umiranja velikog broja žena širom sveta. Kolorektalni karcinom je treća po redu maligna bolest po broju novoobolelih u svetskoj populaciji, posle karcinoma pluća i dojke. Petogodišnje preživljavanje od kolorektalnog karcinoma u SAD-u je 59-66%, u zemljama Zapadne Evrope oko 60% a u Autonomnoj Pokrajuni Vojvodini 27%. U razvijenim zemljama se sprovode skrining programi koji omogućavaju rano otkrivanje malignih bolesti, međutim, u Srbiji takav program ne postoji. Oralni karcinom je po učestalosti &scaron;esta najče&scaron;ća maligna bolest u svetu čija incidenca varira u različitim geografskim područjima. Predstavlja 5% svih novootkrivenih malignih tumora godi&scaron;nje i čini 14% svih malignih tumora glave i vrata.
