The paper examines the phenomenon of group and national identity, constructed on the basis of the East-West dichotomy. This article examines Polish urban travelogue literature and reportage concerning the industrial city of Łódź in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. В статье приводятся данные о случаях нетипичного гнездования большой горлицы Streptopelia orientalis в нишах заброшенных каменных и кирпичных зданий в Приморском крае. Данный феномен был впервые зарегистрирован лишь в 2019 г. При дальнейшем обследовании заброшенных воинских частей в юго-западной части Приморья было установлено, что гнездова- ние в нишах стен заброшенных казарм здесь достаточно широко распространено.
