Abstract:
In this article, we examine the literature presented on the use of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) in the world of sports. The techniques have been applied with success in a number of occasions at different skill levels to improve performance. NLP operates on the principle that human beings have the capacity to set and achieve their goals, and gives a framework in which these objectives can be attained. These principles have been observed in both a theoretical and practical way in relation to sports. In the first part of the article, we review the theoretical literature on the topic. From a

Abstract:
The theory of neurolinguistic programming is based on the principle of programming the subconscious mind with the help of words. Both the issue of psychological impact on children and the organization of their educa-tional process are carried out voluntarily or involuntarily through this programming. Programming of the young-er generation through subconsciousness forms in them appropriate moral and value orientations, directs them, develops certain qualities in them, “educates” them covertly. In the present article the neurolinguistic bases of influence on human subconsciousness were examined,

Abstract:
Neurolinguistic programming is a communication model whose basic principles are that human beings process information through the five senses (representational systems), tend to favor one of the primary representational systems (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic) over others, and display how they are thinking in subtle ways. This article describes this model in detail and discusses how orientation and mobility instructors can implement it to teach congenitally totally blind students, who have access to only the auditory and kinesthetic primary systems, to use a cane or a dog guide more effectiv

The goal of the study was to determine the effect of the neurolinguistic programming procedure of visual-kinesthetic dissociation on symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder in a sample of Vietnam combat veterans. Thirty-eight veterans in a Veterans Administration treatment program were given three sessions of either visual-kinesthetic dissociation or regular program activities. Overall post-traumatic symptoms, re-experiencing symptoms, and amount of sleep were measured before and after treatment and at a three month follow-up. Results indicated that the treatment program itself had no signif

Each participant was treated as a case on his/her own. The researcher met each voluntary participant individually on three occasions. First, each participant was given a pre-test of thinking styles, a NLP workshop, the first NLP “six-step reframing” practice,

The game of cricket has been no exception. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been used successfully in the business world, but very little research has been done in the sport milieu. Rapport is enhanced by the use of a combination of verbal and nonverbal techniques where the individual is matched and mirrored by the interviewer and verbal communication follows the sensory system most preferred by the speaker.
