Résumé Une étude détaillée de l'art du dialogue chez Guèvremont et Roy révèle d'importantes différences dans la facture des dialogues, leur fréquence, leurs fonctions et leur insertion dans le tissu romanesque. On constate chez Roy la présence quasi constante de non-dits et de troubles de la communication, tandis que chez Guèvremont, les échanges linguistiques procurent le plus souvent du plaisir et un sentiment d'appartenance.
