Abstract:
News recommendation schemes utilize features of the news itself and information about users to suggest and recommend relevant news items to the users towards the interest they have. However, the effectiveness of the existing news recommendation scheme is limited in the occurrence of new user cold start problems. Therefore, we designed a news recommender system using hybrid approaches to address new user cold start problems to ease and suggest more related news articles for new users. To achieve the objective mentioned above, user demographic data with a hybrid recommendation system that contains the scheme of both content-based and collaborative filtering approaches is proposed. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed model, an extensive experiment is conducted using a dataset of news articles with user rating value and user demographic data. The performance of the proposed model is done by two ways of experiment. So, the performance of the proposed model performs around 68.05% of Precision, 42.46% of Recall and 52.1% of the average F1-score for the experiment based on individual user similarity in the system. And also performs around 93.75% of precision, 40.25% of recall and 56.31% F1-score for the similarity of users based on the similarity of users within the same category which is better than the first experiment.

Abstract:
This paper proposes an effective lecture allocation method based on users' profiles and utilities in elective subjects. In many universities and colleges, elective subject systems are employed as a curriculum in which students make their own learning experiences. Students select multiple subjects based on their interests and preferences. Generally, each university determines members of elective subjects based on simple rules, such as the order of grade, random selection, and first arrival. Current determination systems have strong limitations in terms of reflecting users' multiple preferences. We propose a new determination algorithm and a user support system based on users' profiles and multi-attribute preferences. When users' preferences are not reflected in algorithm-based determination, a coordination agent decides lecture allocation cooperatively with each user's agent. Main advantage of our system is mainly that lectures are allocated effectively that reflected users' multiple preferences.

Abstract:
On April 28, the information of the user's province is publicly displayed in Weibo, but whether this move can effectively improve the network environment has not been verified. Through a questionnaire survey, we studies the changes of users' verbal aggression and willingness to express under three Weibo states: not displaying users’ information, displaying users’ province and displaying users’ province and age simultaneously. We find that the measure to show users' provinces is conducive to reducing the aggressiveness of comments and improving the network environment, but it leads to a significant decline in users' willingness to express. However, the impact on users’ behavior is small if user's age is further disclosed on the basis of displaying province. This study provides a new idea for purifying the network environment, and gives a warning for social platforms to pay attention to the loss of users due to the opening of user information.

Abstract:
COVID-19 affects all aspects of life, including work patterns, work behavior, and daily routines. It has also prompted organizations to change how they operate, working more from outside the office due to government restrictions. Therefore, many activity restrictions were introduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, office activities must continue. This creates a new need for the availability of satellite offices as a solution for companies and employees in carrying out organizational activities. This paper analyzes factors that influence the selection of satellite offices during the COVID-19 pandemic and the new normal. Quantitative research was used in this study; the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods and cross-tabulation analysis. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 65 users of the satellite offices in Jakarta. The results show that the majority of users choose a satellite office by considering the proximity to their place of residence, and room comfort, which is then followed by the availability and stability of internet access. In general, satellite office users also consider the price and choose the daily billing system over other billing systems. Thus, workspace providers in the satellite office can formulate the right strategy to attract satellite office users by choosing a proper location, fulfilling room comfort facilities, price positioning, and the billing system used.

BackgroundNo existing instrument measures all or even most of the issues considered important by users of mental health services.AimsTo develop and test a self-assessment instrument to enable users of mental health services to rate their experience across the range of domains that they consider to be important.MethodRelevant domains were identified and a new instrument was drafted and field tested to examine its psychometric properties.ResultsThe 17-item, self-rated Carers' and Users' Expectations of Services – User version (CUES–U) appears acceptable to most service users. Its items have reasonable test–retest reliability and a ‘total CUES–U score’ correlates significantly with a total score of the Health of the Nations Outcome Scales (Spearman's ρ=0.42; P<0.01).ConclusionsThe development and testing of CUES–U suggest that it might be feasible to apply a self-rated measure of the expectations and experience of users of mental health services.

Abstract:
The article identifies and describes testing methods that take into account the specifics of perception and orientation in the interface of such users. Interaction with voice interfaces creates a number of difficulties for users who use screen readers, as it requires the development of special approaches to create an accessible and user-friendly interface. Throughout the course of this work, the functional and cognitive aspects of voice interaction were investigated, compatibility with screen readers was evaluated, and synchronization of audio streams was studied. Scientific articles were used as methodological sources, and for the practical part of the work, data contained in open access on the Internet was used, which made it possible to widely consider the chosen topic and form one's own position on the topic under consideration. The results of the analysis showed that improved audio stream management and command settings reduce the burden on information perception and make it easier to interact with the interface. The conclusion of the work emphasizes the necessity of conducting tests in real-world conditions, considering the characteristics of the target audience. The information presented in this article will be valuable to developers, designers, and testers who are interested in creating inclusive applications for visually impaired users.

Abstract:
The usefulness of Collaborative filtering recommender system is affected by its ability to capture users' preference changes on the recommended items during recommendation process. This makes it easy for the system to satisfy users' interest over time providing good and quality recommendations. The Existing system studied fails to solicit for user inputs on the recommended items and it is also unable to incorporate users' preference changes with time which lead to poor quality recommendations. In this work, an Enhanced Movie Recommender system that recommends movies to users is presented to improve the quality of recommendations. The system solicits for users' inputs to create a user profiles. It then incorporates a set of new features (such as age and genre) to be able to predict user's preference changes with time. This enabled it to recommend movies to the users based on users new preferences. The experimental study conducted on Netflix and Movielens datasets demonstrated that, compared to the existing work, the proposed work improved the recommendation results to the users based on the values of Precision and RMSE obtained in this study which in turn returns good recommendations to the users.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop a content analysis framework and from that derive a process model of knowledge construction in the context of virtual product user communities, organization sponsored online forums where product users collaboratively construct knowledge to solve their technical problems. Design/methodology/approach The study is based on a deductive and qualitative content analysis of discussion threads about solving technical problems selected from a series of virtual product user communities. Data are complemented with thematic analysis of interviews with forum members. Findings The research develops a content analysis framework for knowledge construction. It is based on a combination of existing codes derived from frameworks developed for computer-supported collaborative learning and new categories identified from the data. Analysis using this framework allows the authors to propose a knowledge construction process model showing how these elements are organized around a typical “trial and error” knowledge construction strategy. Practical implications The research makes suggestions about organizations’ management of knowledge activities in virtual product user communities, including moderators’ roles in facilitation. Originality/value The paper outlines a new framework for analysing knowledge activities where there is a low level of critical thinking and a model of knowledge construction by trial and error. The new framework and model can be applied in other similar contexts.

Abstract:
Purpose: To evaluate hearing aid handling skills for new and experienced users and to assess if such skills influence user's benefit and satisfaction. Methods: Seventy four participants (mean age of 70.43), experienced (n=37) or new hearing aid users (n=37) performed the tasks of "Practical Hearing Aid Skills Test" (PHAST), which were scored on a five-point Likert scale - higher scores indicate better hearing aid handling skills. Experienced users answered the International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids (IOI-HA) and the hearing aid benefit for handicap reduction was calculated by the hearing handicap inventory (HHIA/HHIE). Results: Medians for PHAST total scores of 79 and 71% were obtained for experienced and new users, respectively - there were no significant difference between groups. Lower PHAST scores were observed for the tasks of volume control manipulation and telephone usage. Moderate correlations were obtained between IOI benefit and quality of life items and the PHAST scores. There was no correlation between the results of PHAST and demographic data of the participants. Conclusion: There was no difference in handling skills between new and experienced hearing aid users. Handling skills affected hearing aid benefit.

Abstract:
Design personas have, since their origins in the late 1990s, been recognised as a design tool to foster ideation and empathy with different user groups. The method originates from software development and has since its instigation become a widespread method adopted in many design disciplines and processes, such as innovation and ideation of IT products, User Experience design, agile systems developing, communication, and marketing (Nielsen 2012; Pruitt & Grudin 2003). To get product design closer to the everyday lives of the users, design personas are a means to capture the everyday experiences and needs of users and customers. Focusing on the user or customer in the design process is in opposition to an artistic understanding of the designer as someone who, by experimentation with materials and form, gets inspiration to create unique products.

Abstract:
In recent years, the TikTok platform has made a significant impact in the social media market worldwide, now holding a large market share in the short video service market popular with young people. Despite all this success, there is little research on how Internet users become loyal to TikTok. Hence, this study proposes a framework based on the use and gratification theory to evaluate the antecedents of adolescents’ continuous use motivations and behavior, and how they influence teenagers’ continuous use of TikTok. The survey population for this study was reached both online and offline. A total of 362 adolescent Chinese users of the TikTok platform were surveyed. The results show that self-expression, entertainment, information seeking, communication, and passing time were derived as adolescents’ motivations to use TikTok. Among these motivations, entertainment, communication, and passing time positively affect user satisfaction with TikTok. Furthermore, user satisfaction and loyalty positively affect the intention to continue using TikTok. Finally, this study advances understanding of adolescents’ use motivation of TikTok and provides new reference material for the continuous innovation of the short video format. Abstract:
In this paper a new method to extract the closed friends to a certain twitter user is proposed. This algorithm can be used inmany applications such as security and marketing. In the proposed algorithm four relation indicators are used. Theshared twitter users, the common friends, the common followers and number of “retweeted from” are used todetermine the closed friends of a certain twitter user. The great data downloading and mining tool KNIME is used with some Rcoding. The proposed model could ranks the shared twitter users according to their closeness to a certain twitter user usingthe four used relation indicator.
