As part of a study comparing long-acting basal insulins during long-haul travel (Bevier & Castorino, et al) , we evaluated the impact of direction of travel on glucosecontrol (Abbott Freestyle Libre Pro) . Each journey began in Honolulu (HI) with a non-stop flight to New York (NY) lasting hours with a 6-hour time difference. After 72 hours, participants returned non-stop to HI. Each subject completed round trips (using either Glargine or Insulin Degludec as the basal insulin) .
