Abstract:
In article the author analyzes the role and significance of the God’s Fool named Nikolka’s character in Alexander Pushkin's tragedy “Boris Godunov”.The author puts forward a view that the God’s Fool is in fact the central character of the Pushkin's tragedy, the spiritual axis and the core of the narrative. The article points to the fact that the God’s Fool is a prophet recognizing in Tsar Boris a killer and, with logical inevitability - an impostor in “Prince Dimitri”. Nikolka appears as a character free from mass obsession and delusion engulfing Russia and a symbol of hope of deliverance.

The article analyses the symbolic correspondences between the image of the priest in the epic poems “Who Is Happy in Russia?” by Nikolay Nekrasov and “The Land of the Fathers” by Sergey Gusev-Orenburgsky. The author of the work turns to the process of creating the image of the priest by Nikolay Nekrasov and shows the duality of this figure, which arose due to the fact that at first the poet used to take a dislike to the priest, but gradually Nikolay Nekrasov approached the assessment of the environment precisely from the position of religious consciousness in his best works. Abstract:
The innovative artist and smallholder Nikolai Astrup (1880–1928) spent most of his career devoted to portraying variations of his home village of Jølster. The early reception and framing of Astrup’s work as ‘national’ was, by large, a result of the budding national art institutions’ efforts towards unifying the diverse regional cultures into a single national identity. This chapter questions to what degree Nikolai Astrup’s artistic project adhered to a national agenda. Through the lens of ecocritical art history, Astrup’s art can be seen as an expression of proto-ecological sensibilities and a reaction to the environmental changes of his time. His landscape paintings often include humans working on the land, and appear to represent an opposition to the nature-culture dichotomy and the increasing separation between humans and their environment that occurred during Astrup’s lifetime. His representation of his surroundings was that of the place-specific, cyclical and particular. In this chapter, these characteristics of Astrup’s artistic project are discussed in light of Arne Næss’ notion of deep ecology.

Abstract:
This chapter begins with an account of General Nikolai Korneyev about the British mission that discreetly informed Marshal Tito's Supreme Command about a possible German raid, refusing to be be specific in order to avoid compromising the source. It emphasizes that the intelligence of the raid was obtained by breaking the radio communications encrypted by the Enigma cipher machine. It also mentions Captain Franz Kraigher, who was the first to inform the German command about Tito's relocation from Jajce to Drvar. The chapter focuses on the Panther Group's mission on land to determine the suspected location of Tito's Supreme Command, Šobića groblje — the local cemetery. It discusses how the Germans had obtained reliable information about the location of the radio center of Tito's Supreme Command through goniometry and intelligence.

Abstract:
This chapter highlights the Soviet expedition headed by General Lieutenant Nikolai Vasilyevich Korneyev of the twelve C-47 transport aircraft that flew to Astrakhan and then proceeded to Baku, Tehran, Baghdad, Tripoli, and Tunis. It describes Operation Bari as a Soviet special operation of the largest scale that intended to exercise control over the guerrillas from Athens to Marseille and then land the role of the key political factor in the new, fascism-free Europe. It also talks about the Italian government of Marshal Badoglio, who was most inclined to accept the Soviets as he had been entrusted by the Italian king with forming a new government after the capitulation. The chapter recounts how Badoglio's government agreed to make the base available to the Soviets in exchange for Joseph Stalin's recognition. It highlights that the city of Bari became the Red Army's Mediterranean headquarters.

Abstract:
The article investigates the structure and artistic function of the “estate topos” in the story of A. Tolstoy “Nikita’s Childhood”. First of all, is considered “The Case of the Samara provincial Council by the insurance Department on the adoption of the fear of the real property owned by the landowner Yakov Mironov and located near the village of Pavlovka (Sosnovka also), Vozdvyzhensky parish of the Nikolaev district of the Samara province” on the basis of which the con- clusion that was sold by the stepfather of the future writer A. Bostrom land owner J. Mironov real estate “near the village of Pavlovka (Sosnovka also)”, depicted by A. Tolstoy in the story “Nikita’s Childhood”. Further, the structure of the estate space in the story is studied and it is concluded that all the components of the estate topos — garden, ponds, cellars, barns, etc. — are in the process of non-stop metamorphoses that set in motion the entire estate as a whole; these metamorphoses constitute the real plot of the story. In conclusion, a fantastic hypothesis of the organization of the “estate topos” in “Nikita’s Childhood” is proposed, which brings this story closer to the works of A. Tolstoy in the genre of fiction and, above all, to the story “Aelita”.
