Abstract:
Abstract Balthasar Hubmaier is often called ‘the theologian of the Anabaptists’ for he was the only early Anabaptist leader with an earned doctorate. The former Catholic priest embraced the reforming thought of Erasmus, Zwingli, and eventually Zwingli’s former pupils (the Anabaptists) and led the Moravian city of Nikolsburg to become a bastion of Anabaptist thought and practice. The multi-dimensional religious landscape both afforded Hubmaier the opportunity and compelled him to author the first Anabaptist catechism. Through the work, Hubmaier articulated a clear and succinct portrayal of Anabaptist theology and ecclesiology summed up in the Erasmian tenet of the love of God and neighbor.

Abstract:
This piece reevaluates the events surrounding the 1528 execution of Anabaptist leader Balthasar Hubmaier by Ferdinand I of Austria in order to accurately assess Hubmaier’s place in the development of early modern church-state relations. Rather than the commonly suggested motive of practicing rebaptism, the evidence indicates that Hubmaier was arrested and executed for his establishment in Waldshut and Nikolsburg of “free state churches,” a unique sixteenth-century historical modality of believers’ churches financially administered by local governments which protected dissenters, including Jews, from persecution. The first early modern advocate of freedom of thought, Hubmaier insisted that the obedience Christians owed to government was exclusively socio-political and not religious in nature, a redefinition which not merely affected the relationship between lay subjects and any given state but also extended to the relationship between lower and higher magistrates. Such developments threatened the ability of the Habsburg church-state amalgam to enforce obedience to the Catholic faith, prompting its charges of sedition against Hubmaier.

Abstract:
AbstractTakkanot have been an important instrument for the unification of Ashkenazi culture since the Middle Ages. They spread from the Rhineland to the East, to Poland, Bohemia and Moravia. They regulated all areas of Jewish life. Whereas the addressees of the Takkanot were the Jewish communities, the new Synagogenordnungen (Statutes for the Synagogue), developed first in the West and soon followed by Moravia in the East, were directed primarily at the Christian authorities. This change began as early as the mid-18th century when the Austrian empress Maria Theresia asked for a translation of older Takkanot in order to formulate new legal standards for the Jewish life in her lands. The translation of these Jewish regulations into German, brought with it, nolens volens, a Christianization of Jewish technical terms used in their institutions. Soon, the Jewish Neologists and reformers welcomed these translations as useful for their own aspirations to transform Judaism. This was the case in both the West and the East. Among them was Samson Raphael Hirsch, the later leader of the Neo-Orthodox community in Frankfurt am Main and Chief Rabbi of Moravia in Nikolsburg.

Abstract:
The goal of the diploma thesis is to design a wine hotel for 30 people with other public spaces with quality accommodation corresponding to the level of four stars in Mikulov. The new building of the Wine House is a three-storey building located in a sloping terrain, which consists of three floors above ground and one underground floor. The wine house will provide Nikolsburg Winery as a representative building. Visitors and guests of the hotel can enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace of the proposed building and at the same time wonderful views of the vineyards and the silhouette of Mikulov, relax in the surrounding picturesque landscape, or visit the nearby center of Mikulov, Pálava hills or take a boat ride on the surface of reservoirs called Novomlýnské nádrže. Accommodated guests will have the opportunity to use the wellness, massage and Finnish sauna. Tourists passing by will have the opportunity to taste good food and visit the wine lounge, where they can taste and buy locally produced wine at the same time.

Abstract:
The topic of the diploma thesis is the design of a representative building of the Nikolsburg winery, which decided to get rid of the role of mediator of the grapes supply for another winery to produce its own wine. This building is to house a four-star hotel for thirty people, a tasting room with a view of the barrique barrels, a restaurant for forty people and a small wellness area. This newly designed building is located in the outskirts of Mikulov between the nature reserves Turold and Růžový vrch. The basic concept was created depending on the slope of the terrain and the orientation to the cardinal directions. I also tried my best to take advantage of attractive views and limit the view of the technical zone, which is located southwest of the plot. The façade made of ceramic fittings from the Flexbrick company helps me with this intention. An important expressive element of the building is the division of the last floor with hotel rooms, which are oriented to the surrounding landmarks - Mikulov with the Holy Hill and Růžový vrch.

Abstract:
The topic of the diploma thesis is a multifunctional building of a hotel, in an undeveloped area of picturesque vineyards. The expanding Nikolsburg winery plans to build a hotel with a beautiful view of the historic town Mikulov and the Pálavské vrchy. Hotel should include accommodation for at least 30 guests in **** rooms, a restaurant, a wellness area and, above all, wine storage areas. The wine will be matured in the building and further distributed. Visitors can degustate and buy the wine here. The architectural concept further expands the multifunctionality of the assignment. Common areas should be adapted to the situations and the problem of one-time occupancy of the building, especially in the season and on weekends.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with designing a wine hotel for Nikolsburg winery in Mikulov. The goal was to design a hotel which incorporates storage and processing of wine, while complimenting the surrounding vineyard landscape. The site is situated between nature reserves Turold nad Růžový vrch. The main focus of the design was to allow for the best possible view of surrounding vineyards, Mikulov Chateau, Basilica in Svatý kopeček and Turold nature reserve. The work centers around 4-star hotel able to accommodate 30 people, which includes a restaurant, small wellness for hotel guests and suitable technical facilities. Additionaly, the building is equipped for clean wine production (fermentation, pressing, aging, bottling, labelling, storage and expedition) and features a degustation room. Basic concept of the hotel was derived from the slope of the terrain, viewing axes and geographic orientation. There is a number of terraces symbolizing moravian hills covered by vineyards, which offer guests unobscured view of the surrounding landscape (and investors vineyards). The whole operation of the hotel has to do with winemaking as is seen in the building design. Vertical features of the facade represent rows and vertical poles in vineyards.

Abstract:
The topic of this diploma thesis was to design a winery house in the open landscape in a traditional wine landscape of Mikulov. The designed building serves as a four stars hotel with apartment rooms, restaurant, wellness, wine shop and a small wine farm with a storage of wine. There are unique views to the Mikulov city, Turold hill and surounding vineyards. The longitudinal axe is oriented on northeast–southwest. Majority of rooms, terraces and both atriums are directed on prospective axes. The object has one basement and three groundfloors. It is (situated) into the sloping terrain and constrasts with the wavy landscape of Mikulov for its racional and linear conception. It is inspired by terracced formations in near suroundings and uses it for its mass as well. It creates a new landscape dominant that remainds the geological formation of limestone situated in the surroundings of the Mikulov city. The regular rhytm of windows on facade refers to the Mikulov´s renaissance. The regular placement of window openings, and their rhythm are inspirated by Mikulov renaissance. Smaller holes, glass surfaces, light color of facade, green roof and shielding elements prevent from overheating the object during the summer. The water element in the courtyard offers pleasant refreshment for the visitors.
