Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden erste Untersuchungen zur Herstellung dünner NiSi(2-x)Al(x)- bzw. NiSi(2-x)Ga(x)-Schichten auf Si(001) erbracht. Dazu wurden Ni-Si-Al-Schichten mittels DC-Magnetron-Sputtern sowie Ni-Si-Ga-Schichten mittels Molekular-Strahl-Epitaxie (MBE) abgeschieden und anschließend in Abhängigkeit von der Herstellungsprozedur in einer RTA-Anlage thermisch behandelt. Die so entstandenen Reaktionsschichten wurden anschließend mittels RBS charakterisiert, wobei zusätzlich REM-, TEM-, AES-Tiefenprofil- und XRD-Untersuchungen ergänzend genutzt wurden. Two novel distyryl-boradiazaindacene dyes with dimethylaminophenyl and pyridyl appendages, display opposite spectral shifts on protonation with trifluoroacetic acid in organic solvents. This bidirectional switching of the dyes can be shown to be directly related to ICT donor and acceptor characteristics of the dyes. This diploma thesis focuses on the use of infrared spectrometry methods for the analysis of soil samples. The aim of this work was to compare and analyze the soil using the ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) and DRIFTS (Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy) methods and to evaluate the effectiveness of these methods for soil analysis. The results showed that the ATR method is not sufficiently effective and the DRIFT method was used for soil analysis, which proved to be more suitable for the analysis of soil samples.

The main thesis of this dissertation is that final causes are beings of reason (‘entia rationis’) in the philosophy of Francisco Suárez (1547-1617). Epitaxial growth of NiSb on GaAs(111)B substrates has been achieved for the first time. X-ray diffraction confirms the films are of high quality and oriented (0001) with respect to the (111) substrate. Surface reconstructions have been observed on NiSb thin films through electron diffraction performed in situ during and after growth. Three different surface reconstructions have so far been observed. Two of these, the (4×4) and (4×6) reconstructions, are entirely new to the binary pnictides.
