Background: The phthalocyanines a series of compounds involves four iso-indole units linked by aza nitrogen atoms bonded with metal atoms that are normally located in the center a phthalocyanines ring. Some of the central metal-phthalocyanines can be excited by ultraviolet light and emit a fluorescence in far-red region. Objective: To synthesize a derivative of phthalocyanines namely 4,4',4' '-tri-(dodecenyl succinic anhydride)- 4' ' '-(5-amino salicylic acid) zinc phthalocyanine with a zinc central metal. The effect of acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, indomethacin, ketoprofen, naproxen, phenylbutazone, and salicylic acid on the microsomal oxidative drug metabolism of rat liver was studied. Pretreatment of the rats with pharmacologic doses of acetylsalicylic acid, indomethacin, and ketoprofen decreased both the demethylase and hydroxylase activities of rat liver microsomes. These effects were paralleled by decreases in microsomal cytochrome P-450 content. The rate of the microsomal reactions was increased after pretreatment with ibuprofen and naproxen but only the former increased the concentrat

Abstract:
The use of supramolecular synthons as a strategy to control crystalline structure is a crucial factor in developing new solid forms with physicochemical properties optimized by design. However, to achieve this objective, it is necessary to understand the intermolecular interactions in the context of crystal packing. The feasibility of a given synthon depends on its flexibility to combine the drug with a variety of coformers. In the present work, the imidazole–hydroxy synthon is investigated using as the target molecule benzoylmetronidazole [BZMD; systematic name 2-(2-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazol

Aryldiazenyl derivatives of salicylic acid and their salts are used as dyes. In these structures, the carboxylate groups are engaged in short contacts with the cations and in hydrogen bonds with water molecules, if present. If both O atoms of the carboxylate group take part in such interactions, the negative charge is delocalized over the two atoms. In the absence of hydrogen bonds and contacts with cations, the negative charge is localized on one of the O atoms. The potential of amino benzene and its derivatives in the synthesis of monoazo disperse dyes was studied. The dyes were synthesized by the diazotization of amino benzene and its derivatives and subsequent coupling with salicylic acid. The synthesized dyes were subjected to UV and IR characterization and the UV-VIS absorption spectra of the dyes in methanol, ethanol and ethyl acetate revealed that the dyes have absorption bands within the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum and that the λmax of the dyes increases with increase in polarity of the solvents.
