Abstract The anomalous Hall conductivity (AHC) in the nodal line semimetals (NLSMs) due to the presence of a symmetry-protected nodal ring adds complexity in the investigation of their transport properties. By employing quantum kinetic theory and considering the weak disorder limit, we analyze the intraband and interband parts of AHC in the tilted 3D Dirac NLSMs. Our findings reveal that the net anomalous response is mainly contributed by the interband part. Further, the latter part gives non zero results by breaking inversion symmetry via tilt. We observe that the competition between the tilt

This paper proposes a novel model-free super-twisting nonlinear sliding mode control (MFSTNLSMC) strategy with an improved smoothing extended state observer (SESO) for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. First of all, the improved SESO is introduced to estimate the unknown term of the PMSM ultra-local model. Secondly, a novel nonlinear sliding mode surface (NLSMS) is designed, which can effectively overcome the disadvantages of simple and rough signal processing of the conventional linear sliding mode surface. ABSTRACTDNA packaging into procapsids is a common multistep process during viral maturation in herpesviruses. In human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), the proteins involved in this process are terminase subunits pUL56 and pUL89, which are responsible for site-specific cleavage and insertion of the DNA into the procapsid via portal protein pUL104. However, additional viral proteins are required for the DNA packaging process. We have shown previously that the plasmid that encodes capsid-associated pUL77 encodes another potential player during capsid maturation. Pulse-chase experiments revealed that pUL7

The radio detection rate of NLS1s increases with the LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey (LoTSS), which provides a good opportunity for finding more jetted NLS1s. The better sensitivity raises the question whether the radio emission of NLS1s with a low radio luminosity originates from the jet activity. In order to clarify th

Adaptive LMS equalizers are widely used in digital communication systems for their simplicity in implementation. Conventional adaptive filtering theory suggests the upper bound of the performance of such equalizer is determined by the performance of a Wiener filter of the same structure. However, in the presence of a narrowband interferer the performance of the LMS equalizer is better than that of its Wiener counterpart. This phenomenon, termed a non-Wiener effect, has been observed before and substantial work has been done in explaining the underlying reasons. In this work, we focus on the Bi

Abstract:
Many phytopathogenic bacteria use a type III protein secretion system (T3SS) to inject type III effectors into plant cells. In the experiments supported by this one-year feasibility study we investigated type III effector function in plants by using two contrasting bacterial pathogens: Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato, a necrotrophic pathogen and Pantoea agglomerans, a tumorigenic pathogen. The objectives are listed below along with our major conclusions, achievements, and implications for science and agriculture. Objective 1: Compare Pseudomonas syringae and Pantoea agglomerans type III effect
