A multimodal gesture recognition method for mascot robot system is proposed based on Choquet integral by fusing camera and 3D accelerometer data. The optimization of two fuzzy measures in the training phase for two recognition units, i.e., camera-based and accelerometer-based units, obtains enough recognition rate of 92.7% for 8 types of gestures by improving the recognition rate approximate 20% compared with that of each unit. We report the case of a young boy with nonverbal autism and intellectual disability, with a rare de novo 1q21.3 microdeletion. The patient had early and extreme self-injurious behaviours that led to blindness, complicated by severe developmental regression. A significant reduction in the self-injurious behaviours and the recovery of developmental dynamics were attained in a multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental inpatient unit. The study presents the results of a systematic analysis of the structure of sacred communication. A necessary element for defining communication as sacred is the belonging of one or more subjects to a supernatural power. Sacred signs are a means of communication, they can be verbal and nonverbal. Signs can be endowed with magical power, thereby performing the function of supernatural power. A sacred communicative act will be a relatively integral unit of sacred communication, and its main component will be a sacred text.
