Child malnutrition is one cause of death worldwide, but the greatest burden is borne by African countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. In Africa, more than 80% of the population resort to folk medicine to solve the primary health problem. In the present study, an ethno-botanical survey was carried out in Gbadolite city according to the principles laid out in the declaration of Helsinki. The results revealed that informants used 20 different plant species belonging to 14 families and 18 genera as medicines.
