If the instantaneous error based on CMA criterion and DD criterion has the same sign, the momentum factor remains unchanged. Otherwise, the momentum factor is set to 0. Comparison of the simulation results with recommendations in literature on ingot forging, indicates the normalized Cockcroft & Latham damage criterion to be the most realistic of the two.

A method of parameters selection based on the normalized cut criterion or Ncut for classification tasks is proposed. Differing from current techniques based on the neighborhood topology preservation criterion, the proposed method capitalizes on class separability of embedding result. By taking it into consideration, the intrinsic capability of LLE can be more faithfully reflected, and hence more rational features for classification in real-life applications can be offer

Abstract:
This study explores the application of machine learning techniques to forecast atmospheric pollutant concentrations, focusing on NOx, NO2, and NO over the period from January 1, 2017, to December 1, 2017. Accurate prediction of air pollutant levels is crucial for effective environmental monitoring and public health protection. The research employs the Gaussian mixture model and decision tree model to analyze and predict pollutant data. The methodology encompasses rigorous data preprocessing steps, including cleaning and normalization, followed by model training and validation using cross-valid

We calculate the blue-red-blue evolution of the progenitor of SN 1987A in the HR diagram by adopting the Schwarzschild criterion for convection and by choosing appropriate parameters for mass loss and mixing [Fig. 1 (left) where metallicity is Z = 0.005]. During helium burning, the star moves from the blue to the red due to mass loss from 23 M⊙ to 16 M⊙. Figure 2 (right) shows the lifetime in effective temperature bins normalized to unity (solid) compared with the number of supergiants with −8 < Mboi < 9 in the LMC, which is also normalized to unity (dashed). Accuracy soil moisture estimation at a relevant spatiotemporal scale is scarce but beneficial for understanding ecohydrological processes and improving weather forecasting and climate models, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions like the Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP). This study proposed Criterion 2, a new method to improve relative soil moisture (RSM) estimation by identification of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) thresholds optimization based on our previously proposed iteration procedure of Criterion 1. Abstract:
In this paper, a sensitivity analysis of a continuous stirred tank bioreactor (CSTBR) was conducted to determine a parametrically sensitive regime. The growth of a lactic acid bacterium, namely, Lactobacillus casei, in a pH-controlled CSTBR was considered as a process model. Normalized objective sensitivities of the minimum pH were determined with respect to input parameters. A generalized criterion for sensitivity was defined for determining the parametric range of three input variables, i.e., dilution rate base stream (θ), base concentration (R), and initial pH (pH0) for maintaining optimal

Abstract:
The present work proposes a suitable approach for predicting ductile fracture in a new joining process by plastic deformation called hole hemming. This process creates a combined form- and force-fit joint and enables the joining of lightweight materials with varying formability without requiring heating or auxiliary elements. In this process, the joinability of materials is limited by the occurrence of fracture in the outer sheet, highlighting the crucial need to accurately predict its damage during the process design phase. In this study, five different fracture criteria, including the McClin

Abstract:
The degree conjecture for bipartite quantum states which are normalized graph Laplacians was first put forward by Braunstein et al. [Phys. Rev. A 73 (2006) 012320]. The degree criterion, which is equivalent to PPT criterion, is simpler and more efficient to detect the separability of quantum states associated with graphs. Hassan et al. settled the degree conjecture for the separability of multipartite quantum states in [J. Math. Phys. 49 (2008) 0121105]. It is proved that the conjecture is true for pure multipartite quantum states. However, the degree condition is only necessary for separabili
