Abstract:
This is a collection of short fiction in two parts. The first is a history, a Wikipedia-esque examination of the land swath that happens to be Sturgis, Michigan. The second looks at the lives of the uncomfortable who happen to live in this swath, those who don't fit nicely into Sunday best button ups or easily defined sexual orientations or a food pyramid that lacks Mountain Dew. Like a cleaning woman who loves her lizards but isn't sure she knows how to love another human. Like a son who knows how to beat a video game but not how to handle the complicated love and hate he feels for his mom after her death. Like a young man who knows he wants a pierced nipple but little else. Sturgis, Michigan, Notable explores the nuances that get glossed when discussing flyover states.

La región del Callao y Lima Metropolitana están asentadas en una zona con alta probabilidad de exposición ante la ocurrencia de sismos y maremotos. Una de las mayores catástrofes ocurrió el 28 de octubre de 1746, la ciudad de Lima y el Callao fueron remecidas por un fuerte terremoto que dio origen a un maremoto que destruyó la ciudad del Callao y produjo la muerte de más de 5,000 personas, quedando sólo 200 sobrevivientes (4%). De los 23 barcos anclados en el puerto, 19 fueron hundidos y 4 llevados por las olas tierra adentro; uno de ellos, el bergantín San Fermín, fue varado en lo que ahora corresponde a la esquina del mercado del Callao. Hoy en día, un evento de esta naturaleza alteraría el orden demográfico, social y económico de la Región Callao y de Lima Metropolitana. En este trabajo, se ha diseñado la metodología para elaborar los mapas de inundación relacionada con la ocurrencia de un maremoto (o tsunami) debido a un sismo de gran magnitud. Una forma de determinar las zonas de inundación de un posible maremoto local o distante, y, a partir de eso, estimar el potencial daño, es mediante la simulación numérica. La importancia del presente trabajo está enmarcada dentro de la previsión y mitigación de un posible desastre por maremoto, para lo cual es necesaria la utilización de modelos numéricos de simulación de la dinámica de maremotos. La metodología consiste en utilizar el modelo numérico TUNAMI (del proyecto TIME: Tsunami Inundation Modelling Exchange), el cual requiere como datos de entrada el modelo digital de elevación (topografía y batimetría) de Callao y Lima Metropolitana y el modelo de la fuente sísmica que proporcionará la condición inicial del maremoto. La salida del modelo corresponde a los parámetros como: altura de la ola en la línea de costa, mareograma sintético, tiempo de arribo y mapa de inundación de la zona a modelar. Se debe considerar las limitaciones del modelo numérico debido a la resolución del modelo digital de elevación y a la transferencia de energía del medio sólido (corteza terrestre) al medio líquido (océano). En este estudio, se ha tomado un evento sísmico de referencia similar al del terremoto de Callao de 1746 (magnitud ≈ 9.0 Mw), con área de ruptura desde Chimbote (Ancash) hasta Paracas (Ica). Es el mayor evento sísmico que ha ocurrido en la región central del Perú y uno de los mayores que podría ocurrir. En materia de gestión de riesgos y preparación ante desastre, se debería considerar el maremoto provocado por un terremoto de magnitud más probable, es decir un sismo de magnitud 8.5 Mw. Sin embargo es importante no olvidar que un evento de mayor magnitud, aunque excepcional y poco probable a la escala de una vida humana, podría ocurrir. Los resultados del estudio determinan que las zonas de mayor inundación son: Ventanilla (3.0 km de máxima inundación horizontal), Callao Puerto (1.5 km de inundación horizontal), Villa Chorrillos (2.6 km de inundación horizontal) y Lurín (3.3 km de inundación horizontal). La zona de menor inundación está comprendida desde Punta Hermosa hasta Pucusana. Para un maremoto local en la zona de Lima y Callao, el tiempo de viaje de la primera ola sería de alrededor de 23 minutos (al Callao), lo cual proporciona poco tiempo para realizar una evacuación. Mientras que la máxima amplitud de la ola en la línea de costa para la zona del Callao (Chucuito y la zona del puerto) es de alrededor de los 10 m. Para el caso de prevención de desastres tiene que tomarse en cuenta la llamada evacuación vertical para la zona de Chucuito y La Punta. La presencia de la Isla San Lorenzo no supone una barrera natural de defensa ante el impacto de un maremoto, debido a que la longitud de onda del maremoto (en el orden de las decenas de km) es comparable a las dimensiones de la Isla (produciéndose el fenómeno de difracción de ondas), dichas ondas se desviarán y bordearán a la Isla, atacando al distrito de la Punta desde 2 frentes: nor-oeste y sur-este. En base a estos resultados, las autoridades correspondientes deben priorizar los planes de emergencia y evacuación en caso de ocurrir un gran sismo y maremoto en Lima. La mejor manera de prevenir y mitigar los desastres por fenómenos naturales es mediante la educación a la población.<br>Tesis

Paul Ruat (Tulette, Drôme, 15 novembre 1862 - Marseille, 10 décembre 1938) est un libraire-éditeur installé à Marseille. "Parti de rien", il réussit en peu d'années à devenir l'un des principaux libraires du Sud-Est. Entré dans une profession encore boulversée par la suppréssion du Brevet de libraire, il participe à son relèvement en devenant président du Syndicat des libraires de la région de Marseille, lui-même affilié à la Chambre syndicale des libraires de France. Dans ce cadre, il s'efforce de rendre ses confrères plus libres et autonomes en créant la société Les Libraires Associés. La courte vie de cette société ne décourage pas Ruat qui demeure au premier rang des actions que mène la CSLF pour le "Prix fort", contre les Publications populaires, les Instituteurs, les grands magasins et autres "vendeurs de livres". Pionner de l'enseignement de la librairie, il organise des cours à Marseille. Son idée sera reprise avec ampleur par le Cercle de la Librairie. Parallèlement, et tout en poursuivant son métier de libraire "généraliste", il édite et fait connaître un grand nombre d'auteurs de langue française (comme Elzéard Rougier - illustré par David Dellepiane -, Félix Portal, Jean de Servières, Jules Charles-Roux, Stéphen d'Arve, Jean-Baptiste Reboul et sa "Cuisinière provençale") et de langue provençale (comme Charloun Rieu, Léon Spariat, Marius Jouveau, Antoine Maurel et sa célèbre "Pastorale"). Majoral du Félibrige, il contribue à développer l'enseignement du provençal, et se trouve présent dans toutes les manifestations felibréennes. Fondateur de la Société des Excursionnistes Marseillais, il est un fervent prosélyte de la marche et de la vie au grand air. Il participe à la promotion du tourisme provençal et à la fondation de plusieurs syndicats d'initiative, dont celui de Marseille. Personnalité vive et optimiste, il a rassemblé ses souvenirs de jeunesse dans "Aprendissage de la vido".

Abstract:
This study defined family mediator effectiveness as ‘having a lasting positive impact on parties after mediation has concluded’. The purpose of this research was to uncover the nuances that give some family mediators effectiveness. This study used Husserl’s transcendental phenomenology as presented in the book, Idea: General introduction to pure phenomenology (Husserl 1962/1913). Since this was a phenomenological study, advanced family mediators shared their lived experience to provide valuable information. Participants for this study were selected for their family mediation experience. A group of 18 advanced family mediators who had at least 15 years of experience and at least 75 mediated cases in the area of adult family and divorce (all issues) were selected from Mediate.com. The data analysis process for all five research questions yielded 1,750 horizons with a final 224 themes. The final outcome was an integrated phenomenological framework for understanding family mediator effectiveness.

Abstract:
Since the 1960?s several successful missions have been sent to Mars to gain a better understanding of the planet. In 2009, the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission is scheduled to launch as part of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Mars Exploration Program. To assure the safety of this mission, an understanding of the Martian atmosphere is necessary. This is the first mission that may determine the landing site based on weather conditions. As such, potential landing sites at Terby Crater, Melas Chasma, Gale Crater, and Nili Fossae Trough were studied. Due to limited observations of Mars, the Planetary Weather Research and Forecast (WRF) Mars general circulation model was used to represent the Martian atmosphere. Model validation was conducted against Viking Lander 1, Viking Lander 2, and Mars Pathfinder data and showed that the Planetary WRF model was able to reasonably represent the Martian atmosphere. This research is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on density, temperature, and wind profiles at each potential landing site. These profiles are used to determine the amount of variability engineers must account for in the spacecraft design specifications. All profile deviations were within the MSL design specifications. The largest deviations occurred at Terby Crater while the smallest deviations occurred at Nili Fossae Trough. It appears that the large topographic features of Hellas Basin and Valles Marineris affect the local airflow patterns around Terby Crater and Melas Chasma. The second part focuses on these topographically-forced atmospheric perturbations using two of the largest features on Mars, Hellas Basin and Olympus Mons. Vertically propagating waves were generated over Olympus Mons during the night, while a strong daytime convective boundary layer and diabatic heating plume occurred during the day. Hellas Basin was dominated by cyclonic motion throughout the night and vertically propagating waves along the western edge of the basin during the day. In general, the Planetary WRF model compared to conventional mountain wave theory and was able to model topographic disturbances with coarse resolution. Limitations of the model are discussed.

Baron Eschasseriaux born of a family of Saintonge notables, devoted to the emperor, used to be a member of parliament for charente inferieure from 1849 to 1893. The twenty thick volumes of his "memoirs" come up to a novel and passionate narrative which revives the history of saintonge all through the nineteenth century. It also appears as necessary to the history of bonapartism. The author describes the most prominent periods of the French political history at the time of the second republic, the second empire and the early third republic. He helps us perceive the very hart of rural bonapartism. He his totally devoted to the electoral struggle. Eschasseriaux was one of the authors of the imperialist revival after sedan ("l'appel au peuple"). After the imperial prince's death in 1879, we can equally see boulangism rallying, then the fluctuation between supporting the very last plebiscites and rallying radicalism in the provinces.

Persuade que l'energie et le charisme de bonaparte sauveront la france, il sert ce dernier avec devouement, d'abord comme tribun, puis charge d'affaires dans la nouvelle republique du valais et enfin comme ministre plenipotentiaire dans la principaute de lucques et piombino, aupres de la princesse elisa, soeur de l'empereur. En 1809, il renonce a la politique. Gaspard-Hilarion Fornier d’Albe naît en 1769 au sein d’une famille appartenant à l’aristocratie protestante gardoise, bientôt anoblie grâce à ses activités négociantes. Il débute sa carrière militaire peu avant la fin de l'Ancien Régime, au terme d’une éducation exemplaire. Se distinguant dans les armées méridionales révolutionnaires, il est destitué comme noble et fédéraliste, puis réintègre l'armée pour participer à l'expédition d’Égypte. Il enchaîne ensuite les fonctions administratives à l'armée du Rhin, au camp de Boulogne puis dans les états-majors de la Grande Armée, avant de couronner son parcours par une défense de la place prussienne de Custrin pendant 13 mois en 1813-1814. Mis en retraite au retour des Bourbons, il mène une vie de bourgeois rentier à Paris, et – véhiculant la légende napoléonienne – se fait le relais d’un parti libéral protestant nîmois profondément traumatisé par la Terreur Blanche. Le général Fornier d’Albe se distingue davantage par ses aspects privés que par sa carrière militaire. Il lègue en effet à l’histoire trois écrits intimes d’une richesse exceptionnelle : le Journal d’Égypte, le Mémorial de Custrin et son journal de santé. Narrant à sa maîtresse le spleen qu’il ressent dans l’environnement égyptien et ses expériences sexuelles dans le premier, décrivant la descente aux enfers de la garnison de Custrin durant le siège de la place et analysant l’effondrement de l’Empire dans le second, il passe sa fin de vie à étudier la lente décomposition de son corps touché par un mal vénérien dans son journal de santé. Les écrits du “ for privé ” servent de fil conducteur à la biographie de ce notable bibliophile et érudit qui incarne les contradictions d’une génération qui façonna la France contemporaine<br>Gaspard-Hilarion Fornier d’Albe was born in 1769 in a family of protestant aristocrats from the department of the Gard, soon ennobled thanks to their trade activities. He begins his career just before the end of the Ancien Régime after an exemplary education. Distinguishing himself in southern armies during the French Revolution, he’s dismissed as a noble and federalist, then reintegrated to participate to the expedition in Egypt. He’s then assigned to administrative fonctions in general staff, participates to napoleonian campaigns, and crowns his career with the defense of the place of Custrin during 13 months in 1813-1814. Retired when Bourbons return, he lives in Paris as a bourgeois with property incomes, and – conveying the napoleonian legend – becomes the relay of a liberal protestant party traumatised by the Terreur Blanche. General Fornier d’Albe is a lot more interesting because of the private aspects of his life than his military career. He leaves to history three intimate and extremely rich writings : the Egyptian Diary, the Custrin Memorial and the health diary. Gaspard-Hilarion Fornier d’Albe naît en 1769 au sein d’une famille appartenant à l’aristocratie protestante gardoise, bientôt anoblie grâce à ses activités négociantes. Il débute sa carrière militaire peu avant la fin de l'Ancien Régime, au terme d’une éducation exemplaire. Se distinguant dans les armées méridionales révolutionnaires, il est destitué comme noble et fédéraliste, puis réintègre l'armée pour participer à l'expédition d’Égypte. Il enchaîne ensuite les fonctions administratives à l'armée du Rhin, au camp de Boulogne puis dans les états-majors de la Grande Armée, avant de couronner son parcours par une défense de la place prussienne de Custrin pendant 13 mois en 1813-1814. Mis en retraite au retour des Bourbons, il mène une vie de bourgeois rentier à Paris, et – véhiculant la légende napoléonienne – se fait le relais d’un parti libéral protestant nîmois profondément traumatisé par la Terreur Blanche. Le général Fornier d’Albe se distingue davantage par ses aspects privés que par sa carrière militaire. Il lègue en effet à l’histoire trois écrits intimes d’une richesse exceptionnelle : le Journal d’Égypte, le Mémorial de Custrin et son journal de santé. He begins his career just before the end of the Ancien Régime after an exemplary education. Distinguishing himself in southern armies during the French Revolution, he’s dismissed as a noble and federalist, then reintegrated to participate to the expedition in Egypt. He’s then assigned to administrative fonctions in general staff, participates to napoleonian campaigns, and crowns his career with the defense of the place of Custrin during 13 months in 1813-1814. Retired when Bourbons return, he lives in Paris as a bourgeois with property incomes, and – conveying the napoleonian legend – becomes the relay of a liberal protestant party traumatised by the Terreur Blanche. General Fornier d’Albe is a lot more interesting because of the private aspects of his life than his military career. He leaves to history three intimate and extremely rich writings : the Egyptian Diary, the Custrin Memorial and the health diary. In 1995 Charles Timothy Sivils completed his study, "Notable Percussion Excerpts of the Twentieth Century Wind-Band Literature." Sivils' intention was to create a formal list of percussion excerpts from substantial, originally composed wind-band literature that could supplement the study of orchestral excerpts. However, because of the continuingly increasing amount of literature being written and published for wind-bands, Sivils' original list no longer reflects recent or current trends in percussion writing for the wind-band. The objective of this study is to expand upon Sivils' excerpt list.The parameters outlined in Sivils' document have been adopted for this study with only minor adjustments. This paper will examine only the following wind-band compositions: (1) Compositions written between 1980 and 2005; (2) Compositions generally considered part of the standard wind-band repertoire; (3) Compositions originally conceived for the wind-band; (4) Compositions which do not feature a soloist in a concerto format; (5) compositions that are considered "concert marches" or movements entitled "March" from a multi-movement work.To provide the author with a body of information from which to start the research, a survey was sent to approximately forty wind-band conductors and percussionists throughout the United States asking them to list pieces, following the parameters previously outlined, from the wind-band repertoire that they feel contain the most significant percussion excerpts. Thirty-eight percent of those surveyed responded. Twenty-four of the suggested works were included in this study, creating a combined list of seventy-six excerpts from this and Sivils' document.Through the use of music notation software, a portion of each part has been reproduced as it appears in the original score. No attempt has been made to correct misprints or improve upon the composer's original notation. The excerpts have been formatted to create a single practicable part that contains all of the concerns discussed in the preceding pages. As with Sivils' study, a major component of this project has been to make the performer aware of these excerpts and to give insights into their performance.<br>School of Music

Cependant, depuis une trentaine d’années, plusieurs études importantes sur le Consulat et l’Empire ont vu le jour et sont en passe de renouveler l’histoire socio-politique de cette époque. Dans cette thèse, nous réexaminons la structure administrative centralisatrice instaurée pendant l’époque napoléonienne, qui représente un moment propice pour aborder les questions sur la première période de formation de l’État-Nation. Dans la première partie L’État-Nation et les notables, nous examinons la réalité du pouvoir local établi à l’époque napoléonienne. Pour cela, nous traitons de la sociologie des administrateurs et des notables qui composent le pouvoir local, puis nous analysons les relations entre ces notables et l’administration préfectorale en définissant le fonctionnement effectif des conseils et des municipalités communales. Dans la deuxième partie L’État-Nation et l’ordre local, l’époque napoléonienne se situant au début de la formation de l’État-Nation, nous abordons plusieurs domaines administratifs concernant directement la « sécurité », qui est une composante essentielle de l’État-Nation. En effet, pour relativiser l’évidence territoriale de la France d’un point de vue géographique et psychologique, la zone frontalière des Pyrénées est un cas intéressant pour notre étude<br>For the longest time, Napoleon was the centerpiece of studies concerning the Napoleonic age. However, over the past thirty years, several important studies about the Consulate and the Empire have been shedding a new light on the socio-political history of this era. In this thesis, we review the administrative and centralizing structure established during the Napoleonic era, which represents a key period to discuss and observe the issues about the onset of the Nation-State. In the first part, The Nation-State and the notables, the reality of the local power established during the Napoleonic age is discussed. Initially, we explain the sociology of the local administrators and notables who compose the local power, then we analyse the relations between these notables and the prefectural administration by clearly defining the effective functioning of the councils instituted in each local administrative ward, and of the communal municipalities. In the second part, The Nation-State and the local order, we approach several administrative domains concerning the “security”, matters during the onset of the Nation-State. This thesis will set to define how these administrative domains have led to a three tier exerted power, central power, local power and people, which in turn constructed and gave birth to the local government system under the Napoleonic regime. To answer these questions, we choose the Hautes-Pyrenees department. Indeed, to relativize the territorial evidence of France geographically and psychologically, the border area of the Pyrenees is an interesting case for our study

CITE/Language Arts<br>Ed.D.<br>This qualitative case study investigated the nature of motivational change among eight adolescent participants who made notable advances in reading while in middle school. Data was gathered through interviews, observations, and artifact analysis. Guthrie's (2001) work identified a list of essential elements for reading engagement: autonomy support, interesting texts, goal orientation, real-world instruction, evaluation, strategy instruction, teacher involvement, collaborative learning, and the use of praise and rewards. Using Guthrie's (2001) work as a guide, a line of inquiry was formulated that could yield useful data on which factors were most influential in accounting for motivational and achievement growth among this unique population of improved readers. At the end of a six month study, interesting texts and real-world connections were found to be the most significant of Guthrie's (2001) contexts for engagement in facilitating participants' growth as readers. However, the personal accounts of the students, parents, and teachers in this study reveal a more complex picture of the nature of the motivational change among these adolescent readers. From this data, seven themes emerged that related to participants' motivational experiences in the categories of ethnicity, gender, and disability status. The three themes that emerged on the topic of ethnicity were "Resisting a fear of failure," "Meeting readers where they are," and "Tying literacy to the real world." On the subject of gender, two themes also emerged from the data: "Genders appearing more similar than different" and "Girls preferring intrinsic motivation." On the subject of students with disabilities, an additional two themes emerged: "Experiencing more reading frustrations" and "Combining learning support and interesting texts." Several of these themes suggested findings that differed from previous research on motivation and adolescent readers. Partant du double constat de la longévité du Département et de sa résistance aux tentatives de réforme successives, ce travail de thèse s'intéresse aux (f)acteurs clés de l'apparente immuabilité départementale. Il considère successivement trois dimensions majeures de l'institutionnalisation et de la légitimation du Département (englobant non seulement le Conseil général mais aussi ses ramifications cantonales et nationales par le biais du cumul de mandats et de l'activité de lobbying accompli par l'Assemblée des Départements de France). O estudo, que compreendeu uma replicação de pesquisa do trabalho de Câmara dos Santos (2001), foi desenvolvido com 30 estudantes de uma turma do sexto ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola da rede pública da cidade de Recife, capital do Estado de Pernambuco, Brasil. Nesse sentido, utilizamos como sustentação teórica a teoria de Van-Hiele (1957) para o desenvolvimento do pensamento geométrico, por apresentar uma articulação adequada com o nosso objeto de estudo, ou seja, com o conceito de quadriláteros notáveis. Considerando o objetivo que se buscou alcançar, analisamos os dados obtidos, isto é, as produções dos alunos, que compreendeu as atividades propostas na sequência didática, os documentos escritos (as fichas de atividades), as gravações realizadas no GeoGebra e os resultados da pré e póstestagem. Além disso, estes testes se efetuaram em dois momentos: no primeiro, antes da aplicação da sequência didática, e no segundo, após o término do trabalho com a sequência. Dessa forma, no que se refere ao desenvolvimento dos níveis de pensamento geométrico, considerando a teoria de Van-Hiele (1957), verificamos um progresso importante nesse processo, pois parte considerável dos estudantes participantes avançou entre os níveis iniciais, por meio da sequência didática (sendo verificado entre 17% do total de alunos). Observamos, também, que alguns alunos não alcançaram a passagem do primeiro para o segundo nível, mas, esses alunos progrediram significativamente dentro do próprio nível, deixando-os bem próximos do nível seguinte (43% dos estudantes). Além disso, nos foi possível identificar alunos trabalhando nos dois níveis ao mesmo tempo (40% dos alunos), tal fato é um indício de que podem existir faixas de transição entre os níveis vanhielianos, como foi verificado por Câmara dos Santos (2001). Nessa pesquisa, o GeoGebra mostrouse um importante recurso didático aos processos de ensino e de aprendizagem da Geometria, sobretudo, para o desenvolvimento dos níveis de pensamento geométrico no 6º ano do ensino fundamental, tendo a teoria vanhieliana como sustentação.<br>This present dissertation aimed to investigate the effects of a didactic sequence for notable quadrilaterals concept construction, using the GeoGebra Dynamic Geometry software as a didactical resource. The study, that is a replication of Câmara dos Santos (2001) research and it was developed in a class with 30 students of sixth grade class of elementary public school in Recife city, capital of Pernambuco State, Brazil. In this sense, we used as theoretical support the Van-Hiele (1957) theory for the development of geometric thinking by presenting appropriate links with our object of study, this is, with the concept of notable quadrilaterals. By considering the objective that we sought to achieve, we analyzed the obtained data, that is, the productions of the students, which included the activities proposed in the didactic sequence, written documents (worksheets), GeoGebra recordings and the results of pre and post-testing. Besides, these tests were performed in two stages: first, before didactic sequence application of, and, secondly, after the final work with the sequence. In this way, which regard to the development of levels of geometric thinking, considering Van-Hiele (1957) theory, we verified an important progress in this process, because a considerable part of the participating students had advanced among initial levels, through didactic sequence (being checked around 17% of the total of students). We also observed some students did not reach the passage from first to second level, but, these students had a significantly progress inside their own level, what made them being close to the next level (43% of students). Futhermore, was possible to identify students working on two levels at the same time (40% of students), this fact indicates that may exist transition zones between vanhielians’ levels, as Câmara dos Santos (2001) verified. In this research, GeoGebra was an important didactical resource for geometry teaching and learning process, mostly, for the development of levels of geometric thinking in the 6th grade of elementary school, having the Van-Hiele theory as support.

This qualitative study set out to explore the perceptions of leadership in an Australian higher education institution in relation to the introduction of an equity agenda related to sexuality and gender identity. The topic had professional and personal importance for me, both in my role as an equity practitioner occupying a relatively senior role in an Australian university, and as a woman who identifies as lesbian. There is a relatively small body of literature focussing upon leadership in higher education in Australia, still less about matters of equity, and a paucity of quality research related to sexuality and gender identity in this context. This study contributes to these three areas. The purpose of the research was to explore the way staff of a university involved in the initiation and implementation of a specific sexuality-equity agenda identified the leader or leaders of the agenda and perceptions of how that leadership behaviour was expressed. A secondary aspect of the research was to investigate the process by which change was implemented by these leaders in a controversial area of equity and social justice. The research used the introduction of a sexuality equity agenda as a frame through which leadership behaviours could be explored with a view to informing this area of equity practice in the higher education context. The research used a case study approach, the case study university being selected on the basis of its identifiably good practice in the area. Staff who had been closely involved with the introduction and implementation of the sexuality equity agenda were invited to participate in the research and self-selected to do so. Participants represented academic and general staff across the University at different levels of seniority, and identified variously as heterosexual, gay or lesbian. The sexuality equity agenda was implemented in a wider context of considerable public debate about issues of sexuality. The state in which the case study university was located, like many Australian States, had a government that was contemplating a liberalising revision to their anti-discrimination legislation. This somewhat volatile context was pertinent to the introduction of the agenda and the issues that arose for those involved with its introduction. Interviews in the form of 'guided conversations' were conducted with all participants and a range of relevant documentary evidence was gathered. Interviews were transcribed and data was thematically analysed using a grounded theory approach. QSR N6 and Leximancer, two software tools developed to manage large quantities of data, were used to assist the management of data in the analytic process. Analysis was undertaken from a theoretical framework informed by post-positivist theory, in particular social constructivism and critical theory, which are concerned with issues of power and social justice, the ways in which discourses interact, and how individuals make sense of their world through interpreting and constructing their realities through this multiply discursive field. The research found that the model of leadership in the case study university that operated to initiate and implement the sexuality equity agenda was one that appears different from those discussed in much of the leadership literature, which generally suggests that there is 'one' leader. In this study, participants identified three distinct leader groups. Initiating leaders (I-leaders) were the primary drivers in putting forward the proposed changes. Positional leaders (P-leaders) were identified by I-leaders on the basis of their seniority and strategic positioning in the university to promulgate the agenda, and had the necessary skills and understandings to enable them to effectively take up this role. The D-leader was the designated institutional leader with responsibility for overseeing the development of policies and programs in the social justice area. While each of the three leadership groups enacted a different leadership role in the implementation of the sexuality agenda, all nevertheless operated in a collaborative and synergistic relationship. Participants also identified a number of key characteristics which they associated with the process of enacting leadership and which were common to all three groups, particularly: risk, influence, respect, courage, and personal values. While these qualities were represented in all three leader groups, they were nevertheless manifested differently in each group in relationship to the function of that group. Findings from this case study have implications for equity practitioners in universities and students of leadership. They point to a number of potential further areas for research that would expand and build on this work. The elucidation here of key leadership patterns in the institution and their manifested characteristics stand to alert others to possibilities of similar patterns, occurrences and factors for consideration in similar contexts. Abstract:
O ensino de Matemática é, de modo geral, orientado pelos processos contidos nos livros didáticos. Sendo assim, a organização dos conceitos matemáticos nesses livros deveria ser capaz de permitir ao leitor interpretar a Matemática em sua essência, admitindo o estabelecimento de relações entre os conteúdos. No entanto, o que geralmente se observa nos materiais é um aglomerado de definições e conceitos desconexos que conduzem o leitor a dificuldades de aprendizado na área. Por essa razão, a presente dissertação teve o objetivo principal de localizar, além de caracterizar, os pontos notáveis do triângulo: o centróide ou baricentro (G), o ortocentro (H), o circuncentro (O), o centro (N) da circunferência de nove pontos, os três ex-centros das circunferências ex-inscritas, as projeções ortogonais dos vértices sobre os lados opostos e os pontos de tangência da circunferência inscrita e ex-inscrita. Quatro abordagens são apresentadas em busca de tal objetivo: a-) apresentar a geometria do triângulo segundo técnicas de percepção visual; b-) caracterizar alguns pontos notáveis do triângulo, como pontos de máximo ou de mínimo de funções com as demonstrações utilizando desigualdade de Cauchy-Schwarz e entre média aritmética e geométrica; c-) utilizar um sistema cartesiano adequado para o cálculo das abscissas e ordenadas do centróide (G), do ortocentro (H) e do circuncentro (O) de um triângulo; d-) utilizar os números complexos para a completa localização de todos os pontos notáveis do triângulo além de apresentar a equação da reta de Euler, o incentro (I) e os três excentros IA, IB e IC localizados em fórmulas simples. A dissertação finaliza com o Teorema de Feuerbach, apresentado com uma prova elementar, mostrando que a circunferência de nove pontos e a circunferência inscrita são tangentes internamente e que a circunferência dos nove pontos é tangente exteriormente a cada uma das três ex circunferências e o Teorema de Napoleão, no qual os baricentros de triângulos equiláteros, construídos a partir dos lados de um triângulo qualquer, formam um outro triângulo equilátero. Comparando as várias abordagens da dissertação, a conclusão é a de que a compreensão dos números complexos paradoxalmente simplifica a resolução de problemas de geometria plana e a solução de equações polinomiais. Assim, acredita-se que uma maior exploração desse conteúdo no ensino da Matemática poderia tornar o aprendizado mais atraente e simplificado<br>The teaching of Mathematics is generally guided by the procedures contained in the textbooks. Thus, the organization of the mathematical concepts in these books should be able to allow the reader to interpret the Mathematics in its essence, admitting the establishment of relationships between the contents. However, what is observed in the materials is a conglomeration of disparate definitions and concepts that lead the reader to learning difficulties in the area. For this reason, this work aimed to locate and characterize the notable points of the triangle: the centroid or barycenter (G), the orthocenter (H), the circumcenter (O), the center (N) of circumference of nine points, three former centers of the ex-inscribed circles, orthogonal projections of the vertices on the opposite sides and the points of tangency of the inscribed and the ex-inscribed circumference. Four approaches are presented to achieve these goals: a-) to introduce the geometry of the triangle using visual perception techniques, b-) to characterize some notable points of the triangle, as points of maximum or minimum of functions with the demonstrations using the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality and between the arithmetic and geometric mean;-c) to use a suitable Cartesian system for calculating the abscissas and ordinates of the centroid (G), of orthocenter (H) and of the circumcenter (O) of a triangle;-d) to use complex numbers for the complete location of all notable points of the triangle, beyond depicting the Euler equation of the line, the incenter (I) and the three former centers IA, IB and IC located in simple formulas. The work is concluded with the Feuerbach\'s Theorem, presented with an elementary proof, showing that the nine-point circle and the incircle is tangent internally and that the circumference of the nine points is externally tangent to each of the three ex-inscribed circles and the Napoleons Theorem, in which the barycenters of equilateral triangles, constructed from the sides of any triangle, form another equilateral triangle. Comparing the approaches detached hitherto, the conclusion is that the understanding of complex numbers paradoxically simplifies troubleshooting of plane geometry and the solution of polynomial equations. Thus, it is believed that further exploration of this content in mathematics education could make learning more attractive and simplified

Ce travail de recherche, qui a pour objectif de dresser le tableau d'un vaste ensemble de la population du pays d'Apt (Vaucluse) que nous avons choisi d'appeler "notables", s'articule autour de quatre parties : dans la première, méthodologie, sources et cadre de recherche, nous étudions les sources (manuscrites ou imprimées) sur lesquelles est basée notre recherche, les problèmes méthodologiques rencontres lors de l'exploitation de ces documents; nous cernons également les limites géographiques (le pays d'Apt tel qu'il s'impose à travers les sources) et chronologiques (les seizième et dix-septième siècles) en justifiant notre choix, avant de repérer et recenser les signes extérieurs de notabilité, les moyens employés pour l'atteindre et s'y maintenir. Dans la seconde partie, les notables du pays d'Apt, nous soulignons les fractures verticales qui scindent les différentes catégories de notables (nobles réels ou apparents, professions juridiques, professions de santé, bourgeois, marchands, notables des villes et notables des villages). En troisième lieu, dans les religions, ce sont les fractures et les solidarités horizontales que nous faisons apparaitre à travers l'étude du clergé séculier, du clergé régulier, des vaudois, des protestants et des juifs convertis. La quatrième partie se propose d'étudier les modes de vie et comportements caractéristiques de la notabilité en pays d'Apt pour mieux faire apparaitre les traits communs aux différentes catégories de notables. En annexes, nous reconstituons de nombreux lignages de la notabilité de la région<br>This research, which aims at depicting and analysing a large of the population of the Apt area (Vaucluse, Provence) we have chosen to label as "notables", is articulated around four parts : in the first one, methodology, sources and framework, we study the documents sources (either manuscript or printed) upon which we have based our research, and the problems of methodology we have encountered when dealing with those documents; we also set the geographical boundariues (the area around the city of Apt such as it appears in the documents) and the chronological boundaries (the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries) and we justify our choice, before spotting and listing the external signs of notability, the ways used so as to achieve and hold on to this notability. In the second part, the notables of the apt area, we lay stress on the vertical fractures which split the different categories of notables (real or would-be nobility, lawyers, health-care professions, bourgeois, merchants, city and village notables). Third, in the religions, we deal with the horizontal fractures and solidarities which appear through our examining the secular clergy, the regular clergy, the valdese heretics, the protestants and the jews who have converted to catholicism. In the fourth part, we intend to study the ways of life and characteristic behaviours of the notables in the apt area so as to point out the homogeneous demeanours of the notables. For this reason, a qualitative approach was used based on bibliographic research and didactic experiment. A guiding question oriented this work: what are the educational contributions of teaching geometry through origami to understand geometric concepts such as notable points of a triangle? The main bibliographic references are Aschenbach, Fazenda and Elias (1997), Cedro and Moura (2010), D'Ambrósio (1996), as well as documents from Ministry of Education related to the issues highlighted here. The didactic experiment was applied to 35 students of an 8th grade class of a public school in Aparecida de Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil, in February and March, 2015. The analyses of the participants output, the footages and the researcher observations showed that origami is a pedagogical resource that enhances the process of learning the notable points of a triangle. It became noticeable, however, during the execution of the research, how complex is to work with playful in the development of a subject and to plan activities with clear objectives and a methodology appropriate to the level of the students, besides conducting activities that are challenging for them.<br>Este trabalho tem como objetivo central estudar as implicações pedagógicas do uso do origami no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de pontos notáveis de um triângulo. Utilizamos uma abordagem qualitativa, a partir de pesquisa bibliográ ca e experimento didático. Durante o estudo relatado, a questão norteadora foi Quais as contribui- ções pedagógicas do ensino da geometria por meio do origami para a compreensão de conceitos geométricos tais como pontos notáveis de um triângulo? . Como principais referências bibliográ cas estão Aschenbach, Fazenda e Elias (1997), Cedro e Moura (2010), D'Ambrósio (1996) assim como alguns documentos do Ministério da Educa- ção que tratam de assuntos destacados nesse trabalho. O experimento didático foi realizado com uma turma de 8o ano de uma escola estadual de Goiás, localizada na cidade de Aparecida de Goiânia. A turma era composta por 35 alunos e a pesquisa foi realizada nos meses de fevereiro e março de 2015. A partir das análises das produções dos participantes da pesquisa, das lmagens e das observações feitas pelo pesquisador, é possível perceber que o uso do origami se apresenta como um recurso pedagógico que possibilita o favorecimento do processo de aprendizagem de pontos notáveis de um triângulo. No entanto, durante a execução da pesquisa tornou-se perceptível o quanto é complexo trabalhar o lúdico no desenvolvimento de um conteúdo, planejar as atividades com objetivos claros e metodologia adequada para o nível da turma além de conduzir atividades que são desa adoras para os alunos.

Dentro deste universo, se encontram as aulas informatizadas, onde sÃo utilizados micro computadores como meios auxiliares de instruÃÃo. Dentre os diversos softwares educacionais existentes no mercado, podemos destacar, na Ãrea de matemÃtica, alguns que sÃo de extrema importÃncia para o desenvolvimento de um raciocÃnio matemÃtico por parte do aluno. Seguindo este raciocÃnio, o autor destacarÃ, neste trabalho, as vantagens de uma nova maneira de se ensinar geometria, de uma forma que sà um ambiente informatizado pode proporcionar: a Geometria DinÃmica, caracterizada por "desenhos em movimento". Dentro deste contexto, representando os softwares que trabalham com geometria dinÃmica, serà apresentado o Geogebra. AtravÃs de pesquisa documental, o autor apresentarà definiÃÃes de geometria dinÃmica, mencionarà informaÃÃes sobre informÃtica na educaÃÃo, definirà tÃpicos de geometria no oitavo ano do Ensino Fundamental, em particular, pontos notÃveis de triÃngulos quaisquer, realizarà uma pesquisa de campo com turmas do ColÃgio Militar de Fortaleza, para verificar se hà relevÃncia deste programa educacional para as classes. Ao final da pesquisa de campo, serà verificado se as aulas de geometria no Ensino Fundamental podem tornar-se mais estimulantes e interessantes com a aplicaÃÃo deste software, que pode ser de grande valia como mais uma ferramenta para o aperfeiÃoamento do processo ensino-aprendizagem.<br>A good teacher is always seeking to improve the quality of their teaching , and one of the factors for achieving this goal is the improvement of teaching techniques , coupled with new technologies . Within this universe , are computerized classes , where micro computers as instructional aids are used . Among the several existing educational software in the market, we can highlight in the area of mathematics, some that are of utmost importance for the development of mathematical thinking by the student . Following this reasoning , the author will highlight this work , the advantages of a new way of teaching geometry in a way that only a computerized environment can provide : Dynamic Geometry , characterized by " drawings in motion." Within this context , accounting software working with dynamic geometry , Geogebra will be presented . Through archival research, the author will present definitions of dynamic geometry , mention information on computing in education , define topics of geometry in the eighth grade of elementary school , in particular , any notable points of triangles , conduct a field study with classes at the ColÃgio Militar de Fortaleza, to check for relevance of this educational program for classes . At the end of the field research , it will be checked if the geometry classes in elementary school can become more exciting and interesting with the use of this software , which can be very useful as an additional tool for improving the teaching- learning process .

We intend to characterize teaching and learning so that students understand and / or solve problems related to remarkable products. Studies that have analyzed the learning level of algebraic concepts have suggested that the use of concrete material aimed at learning these concepts has facilitated the understanding of mathematical contents. Question of research: "How do students of the 8th grade elementary school explore different registers of semiotic representation involving remarkable products?" In our analyzes we are based on Duval's Theory of Semiotic Representation Records and On Theory of They thrive, through activities that seek to favor the learning of remarkable products. The research is considered qualitative and involves an intervention study with six students from a private school in São Paulo. The students participated in three meetings, each lasting two hours, developing the activities in pairs. The results indicate contributions with the use of didactic resources - E.V.A. and GeoGebra software, which had a mediating role favoring the learning of notable products for evidencing and treating conceptual errors. In addition, conversions and treatments of semiotic representation records could show possibilities of handling and manipulation of objects constructed with E.V.A material. and the representation of the objects and their movement in a system of axes in GeoGebra software<br>Este estudo objetiva investigar como estudantes do 8º do Ensino Fundamental II exploram diferentes registros de representação semiótica envolvendo produtos notáveis, com o uso dos recursos didáticos, como a espuma vinílica acetinada - E.V.A. e do software GeoGebra. Tivemos como intenção caracterizar o ensino e a aprendizagem para que os estudantes compreendam e/ou resolvam problemas relacionados aos produtos notáveis. Estudos que analisaram o nível de aprendizagem de conceitos algébricos têm sugerido que o uso de material concreto voltado para a aprendizagem desses conceitos tem facilitado a compreensão de conteúdos matemáticos. Assim, colocamos a seguinte questão de pesquisa: “Como estudantes do 8º do Ensino Fundamental II exploram diferentes registros de representação semiótica envolvendo produtos notáveis?” Em nossas análises fundamentamo-nos na Teoria dos Registros de Representação Semiótica de Duval e na Teoria da Atividade de Engeström, por meio de atividades que buscaram favorecer a aprendizagem de produtos notáveis. A pesquisa é considerada qualitativa e envolve um estudo de intervenção com seis estudantes de uma escola particular de São Paulo. Os estudantes participaram de três encontros, com duas horas de duração cada, desenvolvendo as atividades em duplas. Os resultados apontam contribuições com o uso dos recursos didáticos – E.V.A. e software GeoGebra, que tiveram um papel mediador favorecendo a aprendizagem dos produtos notáveis por evidenciar e tratar erros conceituais. Além disso, as conversões e os tratamentos de registros de representação semiótica puderam evidenciar possibilidades de movimentação e da manipulação dos objetos construídos com o material E.V.A. e a representação dos objetos e sua movimentação em um sistema de eixos no software GeoGebra

He is inserted in the sub-project Expressions, equations and inequations inquiry, teaching and learning , what has like objective characterizes the teaching and Learning on expressions, equations and inequations making possible to develop you investigate in the cognitive, educational plans and curricular of the Group of Inquiry of Algebraic Education (GPEA) of the Program of Postgraduate Studies of the PUC/SP. This work is taken into account the basses resulted from the evaluations SAEB and SARESP and search to include new technologies in the teaching of Mathematics like strategy to win the difficulties of teachers and students. For that, we put the next question of inquiry: Will the program Aplusix be able to contribute to the coordination of registers of representation semiotics regarding the notable products? In what? Which the perceived evolutions? In our analyses we base ourselves on the Theory of the Registers of Representation Semiotics of Duval (2003), through activities that try to favor the learning, making use of conversions between registers of representation and treatment in the same register. The inquiry is qualitative in a diagnostic study with the help of new technologies ruled in the methodology of the Educational Engineering. Three students of a public school of São Paulo participated of ten sessions of 60 minutes each, developing the activities individually. Before the results presented in the protocols, comparing the activities daily pay-test and powders-tests, we note that there was evolution conceptual and significant advancements as for the performance of these students in the conversions between the registers figural, algebraic and numerically and the treatment in the numerical and algebraic registers; we think that that is made a list to the reciprocal actions of the program Aplusix and to the mediation of the investigator that, together, such advancements made possible<br>Neste trabalho, investigamos o desempenho de alunos de 8° e 9° anos do ensino fundamental no estudo de produtos notáveis com o auxílio do programa de computador Aplusix. Ele está inserido no sub-projeto Expressões, equações e inequações pesquisa, ensino e aprendizagem , que tem como objetivo caracterizar o ensino e aprendizagem sobre expressões, equações e inequações possibilitando desenvolver pesquisas nos planos cognitivo, didático e curricular do Grupo de Pesquisa de Educação Algébrica (GPEA) do Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados da PUC/SP. Este trabalho leva em conta os baixos resultados das avaliações SAEB e SARESP e busca incluir novas tecnologias no ensino de matemática como estratégia para vencer as dificuldades de professores e alunos. Para isso, colocamos a seguinte questão de pesquisa: O programa Aplusix poderá contribuir para a coordenação de registros de representação semiótica em relação aos produtos notáveis? Em quê? For that, it was researched different approaches of Problem Solving and It was analyzed the book "Tudo é Matemática" written by Luiz Roberto Dante and compared with the notebook (the student book) the Curricular Proposal from State of São Paulo, both of them are specific for taught at the 8th-grade, focusing specifically on Notable Products. The theoretical framework was based on the ideas of Chevallard, regarding the Didactic Transposition Theory which focuses on the relation between mathematical scholarship and mathematics teaching, establishing a necessary gap between scientific knowledge and the knowledge built in the classroom. The analysis of the courseware was focused on the techniques of Content Analysis from Bardin, considering the criteria of the Guide Textbook - PNLD 2011. Through the analysis of both materials, it was observed that it is much more possible to face activities of reproduction or repetition of algorithms than activities that involve challenging situations. In this research, the definition of 'Problem' is based on the idea of Echeverría. The author characterizes a Problem as a situation to be solved, for whom it does not have the immediate resources for the solution; but it is needed to articulate concepts and procedures. Therefore, the Problem Solving can be used as a tool to achieving the process of teaching / learning mathematical content, providing a link between concepts that are treated in different representations<br>O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo ressaltar a importância de se utilizar a Resolução de Problemas como um meio para se trabalhar de forma significativa os mais diversos conteúdos matemáticos. Para tal, foi realizada uma investigação sobre diferentes abordagens de Resolução de Problemas e a análise do livro didático Tudo é Matemática , de Luiz Roberto Dante estabelecendo uma comparação com o Caderno (do aluno) da Proposta Curricular do Estado de São Paulo, ambos do oitavo ano, focando especificamente em Produtos Notáveis. A fundamentação teórica foi baseada nas ideias de Chevallard no que se refere à Teoria da Transposição Didática que foca na relação entre o professor, o aluno e o saber, estabelecendo um necessário distanciamento entre o saber científico e o saber tratado em sala de aula. A análise do material didático baseou-se nas técnicas de Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin, considerando os critérios abordados no Guia de Livros Didáticos PNLD 2011. Por meio da análise de desses materiais, foi possível perceber que atividades de reprodução ou de repetição de algoritmos se apresentam em maior número e as situações desafiadoras estão em quantidade bem mais reduzida. Neste trabalho de pesquisa, a definição de problema tem como base a ideia de Echeverría que caracteriza um problema como sendo uma situação que se pretende resolver, porém não se dispõe de recursos imediatos para a solução, o que necessário articular conceitos e procedimentos. Portanto, a Resolução de Problemas pode ser utilizada como um meio para a concretização do processo de ensino/aprendizagem de conteúdos matemáticos, proporcionando a articulação entre conceitos que são tratados em diferentes representações

Préfet entré en politique au mitan du XIXe siècle, Charlemagne-Émile de Maupas a commencé à être redécouvert par les dix-neuviémistes il y a une trentaine d’années, dans un contexte de relecture historiographique du Second Empire. Claude Vigoureux, dans une étude pionnière, a notamment mis en lumière son rôle, en tant que préfet de police de la Seine, dans l’élaboration et l’exécution du coup d’État du 2 décembre 1851. Son parcours riche et varié, souvent réduit à cet évènement, mérite pourtant d’être appréhendé dans sa globalité, d’autant que de sa première expérience de sous-préfet à Uzès à la prestigieuse préfecture des Bouches-du-Rhône, en passant par le ministère de la Police générale, la légation de France à Naples ou le Sénat impérial, Maupas a laissé de très nombreux papiers privés qui constituent un précieux fonds pour l’historien. Notre thèse, qui s’inscrit dans la perspective d’une biographie totale, a donc pour objet d’analyser sa trajectoire administrative, politique et notabiliaire, depuis les monarchies censitaires jusqu’à la Troisième République naissante. Nous entendons en outre montrer comment ce notable à la fois singulier et idéal-typique, profondément conservateur et attaché au régime monarchique, a mobilisé ses réseaux et ses capitaux multiples pour construire sa carrière<br>Charlemagne-Émile de Maupas, a prefect who entered politics in the mid-nineteenth century, began to be rediscovered by historians some thirty years ago in the context of a historiographical rereading of the Second Empire. Claude Vigoureux in particular published a pioneering study shedding light on his role as Prefect of Police of the Seine and in the elaboration and execution of the coup d'état of December 2, 1851. His rich and varied career, often reduced to this event, nevertheless deserves to be understood in its entirety, especially as Maupas left numerous private papers, from his first experience as a sub-prefect in Uzès to the prestigious prefecture of Bouches-du-Rhône, via the Ministry of the General Police, the French legation in Naples and the Imperial Senate, which constitute a precious collection for the historian. Our thesis, which is written with the perspective of a total biography, therefore aims to analyze his administrative, political and notabiliary trajectory from the census monarchies to the nascent Third Republic. Notre travail consiste à montrer comment le mouvement légitimiste, bien qu'en position de force aux échelles locale et nationale au début de la Seconde République, subit un échec final qui aboutit à un effacement politique. La proclamation de la Seconde République permet, en effet, le retour au premier plan des légitimistes. Présents tant au niveau local que national, ils possèdent de multiples atouts dans les commencements du nouveau régime. Au niveau local, les différentes élections permettent l'affirmation de notables légitimistes traditionnels, particulièrement dans l'Ouest. De même, à l'échelle nationale, grâce aux élections à la Constituante en avril 1848 puis à la Législative en mai 1849, les parlementaires légitimistes paraissent en mesure de s'imposer et participent activement au combat politique contre la gauche. Ils sont également les porteurs d'un projet politique novateur. Pourtant, en dépit de ce dynamisme, les légitimistes échouent à tous les niveaux pour subir un effacement politique, national et local, après le 2 décembre 1851. D'un point de vue national, la coalition des droites demeure fragile et hétéroclite en raison de positions idéologiques divergentes et intransigeantes. De même, d'un point de vue local, le coup d'Etat du 2 décembre 1851 et la proclamation du Second Empire aboutissent à un effacement politique quasi-général des légitimistes, en particulier sur leurs terres de l'Ouest. De nouvelles élites politiques rivales, écartées du pouvoir jusque-là, en profitent pour prendre le pouvoir<br>It is a question of showing how the legitimist movement, althought in a strong position in the local and national scales at the beginning of the Second Republic, suffers a final setback which ends in a political disappearance. The proclamation of the Second Republic allows, indeed, the return the foreground of the legitimists. Presents both at the level local and national, they process multiple assets in the beginnings of the new regime. At the local level, the various elections allow the assertion of traditional legitimist notables, particularly in the West. Also, in the national level, thanks to the elections to the Constituent Assembly in April, 1848 then to the Legislative in May, 1849, the legitimist members of Parliament appear there measure to stand out and participate actively in the political fight against the left. They are also the carriers of an innovative project. Nevertheless, in spite of this dynamism, the legitimists fall at eveiy level to undergo a political, national and local disappearance, after December 2nd, 1851. From a national point of view, the coalition of the rights remains fragile and heterogeneous because of divergent and inflexible ideological positions. Also, from a local point of view, coup d'Etat of December 2nd, 1851 and proclamation of the Second Empire end in a quasi-general political disappearance of legitimists, in particular of their western lands. The enactment of recent legislation allowing electronic writings and electronic signatures for juridical acts provided to French and Quebec notaries the opportunity to rethink upon their role in modern society.<br>Some see the reforms as sounding the death-knell of the profession. Indeed, the invasion of computers in daily life and legal affairs has resulted in the 'dematerialization' of contracts, and even in the disappearance of notary, replaced by a virtual substitute.<br>However, many think the reforms shall be beneficial to the profession once the parameters of electronic formalism are settled. First, the notary remains the cornerstone for the authenticity of juridical acts in that his or her actual presence, materialized by his or her signature, guarantees the perfection and effectiveness of notarial acts, whether drafted on paper or electronic medium. Secondly, his or her role as expert and as counsel will expand in this new environment and contribute to the consolidation of his or her central role in the regulation of society.

The aim is to analyze students' reactions and the interaction of the same at the presentation of the content using this software. Also a comparison of the progress is made with regard to student learning through the production and execution of activities, consisting of scripts/walkthroughs. The methodology used is the didactic engineering. Working in pairs, due to the limited amount of computers in the computer lab of the school, improved academic relations between some students, arising naturally an exchange of ideas and awakening a spirit of collaboration in a very healthy learning space. At the end of the study the author concluded that activities using computing resources as an educational tool optimizes the process of teaching and learning.<br>Neste trabalho, pretendo relatar a experiência de aplicação de uma atividade em algumas aulas, em uma escola municipal da prefeitura de Ribeirão Preto, estado de São Paulo, onde foi feita a abordagem do assunto Pontos Notáveis de um Triângulo utilizando o software GeoGebra como ferramenta de ensino e aprendizagem. O objetivo é analisar as reações dos alunos e a interação dos mesmos, por ocasião da apresentação do conteúdo utilizando este software. Também é feita uma comparação dos avanços obtidos no tocante à aprendizagem dos alunos através das produções e da execução de atividades, constituídas de roteiros/instruções passo a passo. A metodologia utilizada é a engenharia didática. O trabalho em duplas, por conta da quantidade limitada de computadores existentes no laboratório de informática da escola, estreitou as relações acadêmicas entre alguns alunos, fazendo surgir naturalmente uma troca de ideias e despertando um espírito de colaboração muito saudáveis num espaço de aprendizagem. Ao final da pesquisa o autor concluiu que atividades utilizando recursos computacionais como ferramenta educativa otimizam o processo de ensino e aprendizagem.

The software geogebra was used to illustrate geometric constructions and present some practical activities for the study of notable points of the triangle, the Euler line and the circumference of the nine points to high school students. However, the work was based on the proof, with the use of Modern Algebra and Linear Algebra, the existence and properties of the object of this research, especially the universal property of points in the plane, critical in these demonstrations.<br>Este trabalho é o resultado de uma pesquisa sobre a reta de Euler e a circunferência dos nove pontos. Foi utilizado o software geogebra para ilustrar as construções geométricas e apresentar algumas atividades práticas para o estudo dos pontos notá- veis do triângulo, da reta de Euler e da circunferência dos nove pontos aos estudantes do Ensino Médio. Todavia, o trabalho se baseou nas demonstrações, com o uso da Álgebra Moderna e da Álgebra Linear, da existência e das propriedades do objeto desta pesquisa, sobretudo da propriedade universal dos pontos no plano, fundamental nestas demonstrações.

2010 - 2011<br>Anteriormente all’entrata in vigore del decreto legislativo 2 luglio 2010 n.110, nessuna norma considerava direttamente la possibilità di redigere un atto pubblico informatico, nonostante l’ordinamento conoscesse tale categoria, la cui prima apparizione risale alla legge delega 15 marzo 1997 (c.d. legge Bassanini). Questo vuoto legislativo dava luogo ad opinioni discordanti. Successivamente, con l’introduzione del d. lgs. 2 luglio 2010 n. 110, il legislatore nel disciplinare l’atto pubblico informatico opera una scelta tecnica molto importante, perché inserisce nuove disposizioni direttamente nella legge notarile ed in altri provvedimenti legislativi dell’ordinamento del notariato lasciando, però,immutato il quadro dei principi delineato dal Codice di amministrazione digitale che ha rappresentato, fino a quel momento, il testo legislativo di riferimento in materia di documento informatico e firma digitale, conferendo al notaio un ruolo particolarmente importante al riguardo. Tuttavia, la novella legislativa lascia un dubbio interpretativo riguardo l’efficacia probatoria dell’atto pubblico informatico, permettendo che al riguardo si formino orientamenti contrastanti. Before the coming into force of the Legislative Decree ofof July 2, 2010 n.110, no rule considered the possibility of drawing up a digital public deed directly even if the legal system was aware of the existence of such a class, whose first appearance dates back to the delegated law of March 15, 1997 (c.d. Bassanini law). This legislative gap gave way to contrasting opinions. Then, with the introduction of the Legislative Decree of July 2, 2010 n. 110, the legislator regulating digital public deeds opted for a very important technical solution, directly inserting new provisions in the notarial law and in other legislative measures of the notarial system leaving, however, the framework of the principles unchanged, as outlined in the Code of digital administration that up to that moment had been, the legislative text of reference in the field of electronic documents and digital signature, bestowing on the notary a particularly important role in this regard. Après 1860, le département des Vosges possède une élite dirigeante qui se situe dans le prolongement de la classe des censitaires : effectif limité, hautes fortunes peu nombreuses et en essor, mais loin des très hauts niveaux nationaux. Deux groupes dominent : les industriels, les plus riches, sortent confortés par l'installation des cotonniers alsaciens après 1871. Les professions libérales, moins opulentes, s'imposent au conseil général ; trois avocats, liés aux milieux politiques de Paris, sont des notabilités nationales (Louis Buffet, Jules Ferry, Jules Méline). Pas de très grands propriétaires terriens ici, mais quelques grands et moyens propriétaires ruraux ou forestiers dont l'influence sur leur canton se dégrade. Les notables conservateurs, menés par Buffet, gagnent deux des trois mandats de députes à la fin de l'empire, trois des huit pour l'assemblée nationale, mais sont éliminés en 1876 et 1877 : ils ne gardent que quelques rares bastions cantonaux; symbole de leur déclin, Louis Buffet abandonne la scène politique vosgienne. Principales cibles des attaques de la part des préfets de l'empire, les notables républicains renforcent leur unité au sein des loges, surtout dans le massif, qui s'affirme le plus anti plébiscitaire. Après 1871, sous l'impulsion de Jules Ferry, ils ne cessent d'accroitre les influence sur les cotonniers, les agriculteurs, les citadins. There are two dominant groups: the manufactures who are the richest especially after the establishment of the cotton factories in Alsace from 1871 the professions, less well off, abstain a majority on the "conseil general"; three lawyers connected to political circles in Paris are nationally known notables (Louis Buffet, Jules Ferry, Jules Méline). There are not any large estate-owners, just a few big and medium land-owners or foresters whose influence on their district is diminishing. The conservative notables led by buffet, are elected as deputies for three mandates after the fall of the empire, three out of eight to the "assemblée nationale", they are defeated in 1876 and 1877: from then on they only keep a few local strongholds. Symbolic of their decline, Louis Buffet leaves the local political scene in the Vosges. The principal targets of criticism from the empire's prefects the republican notables’ strengthen their unity with the free masons especially in the mountains which are the most anti-plebiscite area. After 1871, under the leadership of Jules Ferry their influence grows continuously over the cotton manufacturers, the farmers and the town dwellers. Ces trois moments caractérisent aussi leur conception sur le pouvoir politique traditionnel et religieux. Chaque catégorie est très hiérarchisée et mène une guerre d’influence pour s’imposer sur la population. This main objective of this study is to show the nature of their relationships, the way each social category works and its functioning. To understand better this issue, this work illustrates the moments when politicians, notables and the religious get along well, misunderstand each other and conflict. These three moments, also characterize their traditional political and religious view of power. Each category has a very hierarchal structure and fights for a strong influence in order to gain control over its population. Because of this philosophy, these categories are consistently in conflict. Therefore, they structure Grande Comore’s society around their ambitions, desires and tempers. Consequently, politicians, notables and the religious, represent in Grande Comore the political, customary and religious authority. Les paysans qui, avant 1789, ont exercé une fonction locale (si minime soit elle) dans les paroisses du Trégor rural (évêché de Tréguier, Basse Bretagne), accèdent massivement en 1790 aux premières fonctions municipales et forment ensuite le personnel révolutionnaire de leur commune. Pendant le Consulat et l'Empire, souvent après, ces mêmes personnages ou leurs enfants sont appelés à exercer les fonctions de maires, d'adjoints, de conseillelrs municipaux. Leur intérêt pour la politique date d'avant 1789 et s'explique par une large participation à la vie locale comme administrateurs des biens paroissiaux (église, chapelles, confréries, très nombreuses dans le Trégor) et comme gestionnaires des intérêts communs lors des réunions des généraux de paroisses. Le temps des doléances puis la lutte contre le domaine congéable trouvent dans le Trégor des paysans formés à la réflexion et à l'action. Une voie paysanne de la Révolution y est établie de manière originale. La création des municipalités en 1790 n'apporte rien de neuf en terme d'émancipation. Au contraire, les directives extérieures émanant des districts puis des départements , l'épisode des municimalités de cantons, diminuent l'intérêt des paysans pour la vie locale. Les nominations venues des préfectures seront acceptées plus comme un honneur que comme un engagement. L'élite paysanne trégorroise est large et n'émerge pas nettement du reste de la population. La place tenue au-devant de la communauté tient au cumul de facteurs individuels : famille, fortune, possessions de terres, sataut d'employeur, pratique de l'écrit, relations extérieures. . . La participation à une fonction locale apparaît plus comme un révélateur de la notabilité : élite d'un peuple et ne s'en démarquant que par des différences graduelles, les responsables paysans du Trégor jouent toutefois un r^ole de notables, vis à vis de la société englobante. Ils contribuent ainsi à dessiner ce qui sera le schéma politique de ce pays au 20e siècle<br>The farmers who acted a local function before 1789 in rural Trégor parishes (diocese of Tréguier, Lower-Brittany, France) accede in a body to the first municipal functions and form then the local revolutionary staff. During the Consulat and the Empire, often later, these same persons or their children are destinated for mayors, assistants, town concillors ; Their interest for the politics date from many years to 1789 and explains itself by a wide participation in local life as parochial estates administrators (church, chapels, brotherhoods, very numerous in Trégor) and as common share managers in parochias assemblies. Time of grievances and time of campaign against domains congeables found the farmers trained for thought and action. A peasant way of the Revolution stands up on an original manner. In 1790, the foundation of municipalities brings nothing new about emancipation ; On the contrary, the outside directives from districts and departments, the episode of the canton municipalities decrease the interest of farmer for local life. Appointments by prefectures are accepted more as an honnor than as an obligation. In Trégor, peasants first in class is wide and dont come into view so clearly. The place they stand forward outcomes from cumulatives individuals factors : family, fortune, lands possessions, employer's status, practise of writing, foreign agffairesActing in a local function appears more as a development of notability : first in the lower classes and dissociating themselves by progressives differences, peasants leadders in Trégor play however a role of notable face to outer world. They contribue so to draw what will be the political plan of this country in the 20th century
