Magistro darbe yra suformuluotos Lietuvos Notariato veiklos optimizavimo problemos, remiantis moksline literatūra bei kitais šaltiniais, išanalizuoti Lietuvos Notariato 1990 – 2010 m. laikotarpyje įvykusius pokyčius įtakoję veiksniai ir atskleisti, kokie sprendimai neigiamai, kokie teigiamai paveikė institucijos veiklą. Darbe iškeltos 4 hipotezės.
